Corona Virus must bow it's knee to the Name of Jesus. Build your faith on Gods Word. Know your authority. That is your sword: Ephesians 6

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is NONE OTHER NAME under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in MY NAME, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Luke 10:17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy NAME.

Acts 4:30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the NAME of thy holy child Jesus.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the NAME of the Lord shall be saved.

Matthew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the NAME of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the NAME of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

    Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In MY NAME shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Jeremiah 10:6 Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy NAME is great in might.

    Carl,

There are two pieces of scripture here that Paul uses to back up what he is saying. First of all, Deuteronomy 25:4 says thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treads out the corn.

In 1 Corinthians Chapter 9, Paul says you don't think that God was talking about oxen do you? If you have an oxen treading the corn, you got to feed that oxen too or else he's not going to be around to tread the corn for you.

The second scripture is Luke 10:7, the words of Jesus where He says the laborer is worthy of his reward, or hire. So Paul is saying that we should acknowledge those who labor in the word, and in doctrine, and make sure that they're taken care of.

This goes along with what Bendito is saying which I completely agree with!

    Good Samaritan Luke 10:30-47

The Poor and Needy; Matthew 25:35-40

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat:

I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink:

I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

    Naked, and ye clothed me:

I was sick, and ye visited me:

I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, YE HAVE DONE IT UNTO ME.
  • Matthew 1112 Violent Faith - In Reply - 4 years ago
I have never said that to anyone before yesterday. It's about building up faith on scripture alone. It will not work in the flesh.

I Corinthians 14:1, 20, 19, 39: teaches that To prophesy (speak forth the Word of God) edifies everyone.

If our lives are a Valley of Dry bones, we will not see any life until we speak correctly to the situation.

I know that passage is NOT our usual prayer lesson. It's what Ezekiel was to pray over the House of Israel. But it's also a principal and it's not forbidden to speak out to dead situations. It gets our faith in God all stirred up. It's not going to work for financial gain that will corrupt us.

I wish the Gentile churches would pray this over Israel's Jews: to come together and stand up for God! All I ever hear is condemnation for them.

We are living in the end of days. I pray the Lords Prayer always. I insert personal mentions for things I need (not want).

The kingdom suffers violence, and the violent take it by force ( Matthew 11:12). We need violent faith to fight against viruses, lack, fear and it's torments. The principals were always there. Intercessory prayer and standing in the gap have always been in the Bible. Luke 10:18-20

I am not remarkable. I did have a Damascus Road salvation experience. All I know is Jesus. They are here with us. All they say is truth. They are everything the Bible says about them. We are the Bride of Christ. He's going to catch us up and then we'll be coming back with Jesus; riding beside Him. Everything written will come to the Light of Truth.

I'm not the only one. There are many like me out there shaking Heaven with our faith and prayers. Believe. Let your faith out of the box.

On the question asked by Willie concerning verse 27 of Luke 10. "Love your neighbor as yourself". The Lord himself gives the answer. My fellow man (demonstrated by the wounded man and the loving actions of the Good Samaritan.) I believe that is best understood as a radius. In other words true love begins with our love of the Lord first, then radiates out to our closest neighbors. 1) Ourselves (a healthy love of who we are as God's creation and his purpose for our life.) 2) if married, my next closest neighbor is my spouse. You live with them the day and night. Love them as Christ loves his Church. 3) your kids 4) your parents, grandma and grandpa 5) your extended family (Aunts, Uncles, Cousins.) 5) your actual next door neighbor! How often And long do we live in an neighborhood or an apartment building for 5, 10 or even 20 years and not know or show love to our neighbor! 6) Friends and Associates. 6) Co-workers (that includes the Boss lol). 7) anyone we come in contact with in Church in particular, the grocery store, the bus or subway. On the train, plane. At the party or the funeral. Black people, White people, Brown people, Yellow people. Fellow Christians, Muslims, Mormons, Mexicans, Italians and Africans, the stranger, immigrants, foreigners. The hurting, the helpless, the hopeless, the bruised and 'wounded'. You get the picture - Show God''s to Everyone Everywhere!!! No matter who they are. Love God. Love yourself. Love your neighbor.

    1 Corinthians 3:9-15

According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

    Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

Every man's work shall be made manifest: for THE DAY shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a REWARD.

If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself SHALL BE SAVED, yet so as by fire.

    COMMENT:

Question we ask ourselves honestly: what are we building with?

Are we building up the Body of Christ?

Jesus: we are to be imitating; doing. If we can't Go Ye, then maybe equip those that are? Commit to pray for the workers of the Harvest? Luke 10:2

    Willie,

You have also touched on something else I think is important, and that is some of these mega-ministries. 1 Peter 4:8 says "And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins."

Number one, he says and above all things. That means top priority. Have fervent charity among yourselves: And the word charity is the word Agape love. The word fervent literally means to stretch out the hand, or to extend out the hand.

So he's presenting a picture of an active love. In James Chapter 2, James says if somebody comes along and they're hungry and they need clothing, and you say "Well, I'll pray for you," what good is that? Faith without works is a dead faith. So when its hardships and when there's suffering, have an active extended love, and notice this: among yourselves.

If any of you have any knowledge of the Greek, the term among yourselves is in the Attributive Position. But the focus is supposed to be on fellow believers. Just like Jesus said, people will know you're my disciples by your love for one another.

One of the sickening things I've seen over the years is church ministries bringing in several million dollars a year for their projects to reach the uncivilized world. And that's great if that's what the Lord is leading you to do. But I notice that right around the church, there are a lot of people needing help.

But they look beyond that. They look at what looks good on the tote board. And even some people within the church are suffering and going without, and the sensitivity isn't there. Suffering creates sensitivity. Have an extended love among yourselves, for love shall cover the multitude of sins. That is from Proverbs 12:10.

Why cover a multitude of sins? Because that is what brings division and hardship within the body of Christ. We have to have an active extended love for repentance and restoration of sin. We have to deal with the sin issue in the body of Christ!

    Willie,

Here is my understanding of what love your neighbor means. First of all, Luke 10:27 says Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. This comes from Deuteronomy 6:5, thou shalt love the Lord your God, and then Leviticus 19:18, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.

The term "Thou shalt love" in the Greek text is not in command form. It is called a Future Active Indicative. What this is telling us is that if we have the Spirit of Christ living in us, WE WILL love the Lord with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind, and WE WILL love our neighbor as ourselves. It is a statement of fact. The word love is the word Agape. This is different from human love (Phileo). Agape love is a fruit of God's Spirit which we are given in Galatians 5:22.

What is interesting is that to the Jews in the Old Testament, their neighbor was their fellow Jew. In the New Testament, the word neighbor for the Christian is a reference to other Christians. In fact, Jesus said it. He said, "All men will know that you are my disciples when you have love for one another." The highest love that I can show my brothers and sisters in Christ is to be obedient to Christ.

So, we are not commanded to get out there and start loving our neighbors. The command is YOU WILL. Its a factual statement. Since God is love (Agape), and He gives us His Spirit, and His Spirit in us produces that love, WE WILL love our neighbor, and WE WILL love the Lord our God. It's impossible not to because His Spirit in us produces that love!

I have always thought i knew what vs 27 meant, but with all that is going on today and especially when this mega church pastor "who will remain " nameless" spouts off non sense

what exactly does love your neighbor as yourself mean? I live in the south now and i am not seeing a lot of this, i am pretty sure i know what this means but I can't put it into words so i would like someone to help me to make sure I am getting this one right, because i read that love covers a multitude of sins so I want to make sure i understand this correctly.

Paul also wrote that "the Law is not of faith: But the man that doeth them shall live in them" ( Galatians 10:12); quoted from Leviticus 18:5. And Paul immediately reminds us that "Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree" ( Galatians 10:13) quoted from Deuteronomy 21:23. Those that hang on trees have transgressed the Law. Paul uses two passages from the Law to show us that we cannot live without the Law?

James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

The words of Jesus confirm the 10 Commandments found in the books of the LAW, Exodus 20:1-17, Luke 10:27.

The only people that do not NEED the Law are those that are not sinning. No matter how righteous we may think we are, we all sin every day and are made new (every day) through repentance and forgiveness.

Just because we have been brought to Christ does not mean that we cannot fall away again.

Hello Abubakar, that's a good question. While Jesus had his chosen people of Israel he spent most of his time with, Jesus came to Earth and died on the cross to save all people. Jesus said to teach 'all nations' Matthew 28:19, to 'all the world' Matthew 24:14, and was given first to the Jews then to Greeks (meaning others): Romans 1:16. Jesus couldn't be everywhere at once so he chose a certain place and people to focus his ministry on, but it's for everyone in the world. He has a heart for everyone- remember Jesus's story of the good Samaritan about being a good neighbor to everyone: Luke 10:25-37

"And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: but one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her." "Which now of these three do you think was neighbor unto him that fell among the thieves?" Its not hard to see how Jesus turns the man's own words around on himself by God's view of his true character. As we measure others shall we be measured out to; and with the same judgment that we judge; shall we be judged! "Who is my neighbor?" How do you measure up as a neighbor? Not your religion but YOU!

"And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead." Have mercy on others!

"But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbor?" So, while this person was really knowledgeable in the Scriptures, and KNEW FULL WELL just exactly that keeping the Commandments was the Divine Decree and Mandate for "How to inherit everlasting life;" he apparently also KNEW FULL WELL just exactly what the Commandment meant BUT HE DIDN'T AGREE WITH IT! So he debates!
  • A disciple on Luke 10 - 6 years ago
"..Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the law? how read you? And he answering said, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all you strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself. And he said unto him, You have answered right: this do, and you shall live." We are known by our fruits!
