Christ constantly caught flack from his peers, he said we should expect the same thing.
You have ALREADY BEEN RESURRECTED.

Revelation 14:19 And the angel thrust his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great WINEPRESS of the wrath of God.
We are the grapes of the vine, and we have to be PRESSED to become the NEW WINE ---this is a parable ---
Psalm 139:8 makes it clear that everywhere; including hell God's presence is there. God; however depending on the state of an individual our soul has a different experience. With David; in old times sheol was the place of comfort as well as torment (see Luke 16:19-31). After captivity was made cptive (i.e. souls of the righteous were brought out after the Resurrection ( Psalm 68:18) then "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord ( 2 Cor. 5:6). Therefore; we saw some of the saints come out of their graves after Christ's Resurrection (sort of the "first of the firstfruits").
God cannot look onto sin ( Matt. 27:45-46). Christ was the "sin bearer" who took on our sins (see Isaiah 53; Numbers 21:8). This explains the Godhead in some sense; as if all of the Godhead died at the crucifixion the whole universe would cease to exist. Jesus; however overcame death as it could not hold Him ( Acts 2:24). When He said "it is finished" and died then the work was done ( John 19:30). The rest of the time He was declaring victory to all (including unregenerate lost souls and demons bound in the underworld) in 1 Peter 3:18-20 then He ascended back to the Father where He ever lives to intercede for us ( Heb. 7:25).
It is clear that every eye shall see Him ( Rev. 1:7); Rev. 5:13; Rev. 20 and Great White Throne Judgment). Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord ( Philippians 2:10-11 and also reflected in Isaiah 45:23. During the Tribulation men also will be actively cursing God and Antichrist Himself will blaspheme Him as well as those who dwell in heaven ( Rev. 6:15; Revelation 13). It is clear that everyone will know about God and Christ by the sixth seal but it won't do those any good who have not been regenerated. It is only in those God chooses to reveal Himself through the Son that come to know Him ( Matt. 11:27 and see much of Gospel of John including some of my commentaries on Predestination). Also see Psalm 19; ROmans 1
The rebellion led to the "anointed cherub" ( Ezekiel 28:14) and his musical gifting in heaven to be removed from his place of authority as we also see in Isaiah 14. He would have been out of the heavenly worship crew at that point pisitionally. Ezekiel 28:16 then talks about rade and violence resulting from what could be a period of time when spiritual beings roamed the earth beteeen the time of Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. This is a controversial topic; what we can say is that there were further punishments when the Nephilim before and after the flood had relations and offspring with women they chose ( Gen. 6:4). They certainly also caused "men of renown" to cause violence and God had to wipe all out except for Noah and his family.
Satan's world although confined to controling the earth apparently also still involved and perhaps still does heavenly meetings with other demons (see Job 1 and 2). These were also involved with David's sin ( 1 Chron. 21:1) as well as lying words in the false prophets (in that case an unknown demonic entity caused this) ( 1 Kings 22:21-23). The last giant recorded was Goliath; and the Nephilim are said to be under the earth in Tartarus or the bottomless pit ( 2 Peter 2:4). The next thing taken froom Satan was the power of death in that all men were in a part of Sheol; but the "good" or pleasant part (Abraham's bosom) Luke 16:22 was removed when Christ went down into the earth after the Crucifixion and captivity was made captive ( Eph. 4:8). Now those absent from the body are present with the Lord; i.e. they go straight to the heavenly throne room. ( 2 Cor. 5:6). Finally; at the midpoint of the Trib. Satan is permanently taken from any access to heaven and cast to earth. It seems all those "powers of the air" or other demons are cast down from space ( Eph 2:2) also see Rev. 12:4. After the Trib he is confined himself to the bottomless pit (see Rev. 20); then in the end of Revelation to the lake of fire joining Antichrist/False Prophet.
Spiritual Discernment part 5: The Holy Spirit at work
The discernment of spirits involves detection of God's presence as well as the lack thereof. It is a rare preacher or layperson who would dare to be bold enough to declare that their particular congregation is lukewarm as Christ did of the Laodiceans. Unfortunately; there is too much human praise (such as accolades to Pastors) which in and of itself isn't necessarily wrong; but if it is in the spirit of the world where "what is honorable among men is an abomination to God" ( Luke 16:15 loosely translated). Empty praise we could do without; of course false accusations and and overcritical spirit aren't helpful either. It is; nonetheless being UNloving and not edifying brothers and sisters in Christ if we don't care enough to help them when we can see that they are compromised in some way; we should desire fruit to multiply in others.
We were discussing Pilate's line today with Christ "what is truth"? ( John 18:38). With today's culture tending to have the effect of not wanting to "offend" anyone as its biproduct of downright falsehood; it seems that there is little making us uncomfortable or thinking about the fear of the Lord nowadays. The truth is as a "two edged sword" ( Heb. 4:12). We also need to remember that He comes with a sword to smite the nations and even judge the church in some ways ( Rev. 2:16; Revelation 19). Paul didn't mince words with Peter but openly rebuked him in his hypocricy ( Galatians 2:11-19). Jesus Himself of course was God and able perhaps to be more critical than any of us; but again He rebukes all those He loves ( Heb. 12:6). The words of Proverbs 27:6 discuss the benefits of a rebuke of a friend; and this could be multiplied with many other cross references.
The point here is that if we don't make truth clear and expose error then the cure is worthless at best and perhaps worse than the disease. Any strongholds the enemy has must be dealt with before deliverance.
Scripture about an Angels carrying ._. Not "spirit" Luke 16:22, 'your question spirit seeing loved ones on earth', more importantly GOD ALMIGHTY sees us Psalms 139, Psalms 27:10, & Jesus intercedes for us Romans 8,
It's important to understand the Biblical laws of marriage were given to Moses for Israel & "the Children of GOD" John 1:12, also Romans 8, relevant.
These laws are for GOD fearing, believers, a guideline for what's best.

Malachi 2:10-15, John 3:16, Matthew 25:31-46, Jude 1,
It has always astounded me about needs of church members that seem to be ignored; or perhaps are quietly helped on occasion by a few in private. I won't get into specifics as to those who are aided on the outside; I sometimes would get reimbursed other times not. We need to be careful though not to give money to those who are going to use it to perpetuate their sinful lifestyle. I have seen that situation before as well.
As to things such as building issues; I have seen poor planning investing in a building with foundation issues that a former pastor has had to fork out well beyond his initial assessments. Wisdom should be utilized; and obviously we don't need a "crystal cathedral" building. On the other hand; there are local churches such as the first one I attended some 40 years ago which had a pastor with medical expenses for his wife that weren't being covered despite rather wealthy people in the church very little money was given.
Our own investments. Wisdom is waning in this age. There are practical ways to invest; including within our own families that can not only be a legacy for them but also honor the Kingdom of God. There are good lessons to be learned in disciplining children early on; admittedly against a backdrop of a selfish; materialistic age.
I have known individuals with wealth who have been quite generous in giving; although it is common knowledge that well to do individuals tend to give less than others in proportion quite often. That seems to be different among those of the world with wealth these days and their many causes.
We need to remember that "He who is faithful with a few things can be trusted with much" ( Luke 16:10 not verbatum). Also there is scripture indicating faithfulness in earthly things and how it relates to Him trusting us with heavenly riches. Our reward is in reaping a great harvest of souls and relates to our faithfulness. Let us not hide our talents either.
Dear all Christian converts. We who endure all things resist all things, where love is tested in a pure mind. We who persevere in all trials and we who walk after holiness. We who fail and get back up. Not everything is bad, you know? Hebrew 3:16:19 Because if we have sincerely turned to the Lord Jesus Christ, He will never leave you or me. It is grace upon grace for us.
We are facing difficult times, so I want to encourage you all, especially you who have little. You have received a knowledge of the end times right now. For the day is coming when we must shop and buy only through the mark of the beast. We have started with that, you know, through the internet. But we still use the internet today to our advantage.
Back to all of us who have little, fear not!
Remember the rich man and Lazarus for example. Luke 16:19-31 So we will meet people who will take our place, never forget that. So the gold is precisely yours and my place so others will try and cheat it out of us. It could be doom for them and you. There is our poverty, our homelessness or our hallmark. God's mark. Because we long for something even more worthwhile. Our heavenly abode with all who have gone before. And it will be an unparalleled joy of reunion on the day everything is put in place. People look at us and know that we have something that they unfortunately don't have. We have Jesus Christ our Lord and hide behind. So expect all of you great revelations, heavenly visions. Heavenly work so that everyone can see it is a sign from Heaven, believers and non-believers. This must begin and happen to a greater extent so that we Christians will cling to Jesus and witness to people so that they can repent. We now see to a greater extent that Christianity is threatened from all sides. Remember this: We cannot get back the time we have today, it will never come back. We are moving forward whether we like it or not.
Stay strong in the word of God, love u all in Christ. Praise be to God in the Highest GBU
Nice comment. "It is often said in the UK that people are losing faith in their politicians". Only in the UK? Don't be unfair with your country, this is a wordwide pandemic desease. Politicians seem to belong to a separate "world" nomatter the country, but we ought to pray for them...
You also wrote "A man who cannot keep his oath to his wife is unlikely to keep his oath to those who elected him .
A politician who cannot judge on such a simple matter ... will find it increasingly difficult to judge aright on the more graver issues facing a nation". I was always thinking the same. The Bible says that if you are not faithful/righteous in least, then you will not be faithful/rightous in much, Luke 16:10.
Today; we seem to think little on the next generation; hence kids have found that there isn't much value in their existence. With so many cut off before birth it is no wonder that kids would feel unvalued today and with such poor parenting skills undisciplined themselves. Hosea 4:6 indicates that because of a lack of knowledge people are perishing. Life is as a vapor as several scriptures indicate ( James 4:14). Not only are things accelerated today ( Daniel 12:4) but as I said in the last piece the value of everything has diminished. There will be no suffering loss; I assure you for cell phones; computers and other high tech entertainment sources NOT being present in heaven. We need to be careful in earthly treasures as well (See Luke 16:11); such behaviors show what is really in our hearts as to our conduct in this world.
In light of these facts; do we consider how great it is that we are saved from having to be in an unregenerate state for all eternity? Isaiah 66:4 describes how God "chooses their delusions" and later on at the end of that chapter a vivid description of hell is given. Phillipians 1:21 states that Paul said "to live is Christ; to die is gain." and other verses show that it is better to be in the house of mourning rather than mindless happiness ( Ecclesiastes 7:2).
In light of all this; we do well to see how we approach the House of Worship but also how we live out the rest of the week. It is sad today how many people insist on having beepers and other cell phone distractions interrupt the services. Personally; I feel a need to have a cell phone only in case my elderly parents have an emergency at home. That was the original use of "beepers". For every moment here on earth there are eternal ramifications; we need to focus on working while it is yet day ( John 9:4). As for Christ it is also for us in that respect our time to serve here is short and we need to focus on the Great Commission.
Salvation is a gift from God, given to us because He is gracious and merciful. We receive salvation by faith-believing that God has indeed brought about salvation to those who believe in Jesus and His work to save us. This means believing that the eternal Son of God took on a human body and nature, though being God, and was born of a virgin (Mary), lived a life in perfect obedience to God, thus fulfilling completely any and all laws God has spoken to mankind, suffered in His body, soul, and spirit on the cross, having been crucified, He died, paying the just penalty for all the sin of mankind and accepting upon Himself all of the wrath of God that is due all of mankind for our sins, was buried and stayed dead physically for three days. His soul and spirit went to the abode of the dead. before dawn on the third day, He rose bodily from the dead by the power of God the Father, God the Holy Spirit, and Himself, God the Son. He appeared to His disciples many times, and ascended into heaven, taking His rightful place at the right hand of the Father.
Beverly, believing that these things really did happen to and in Jesus is necessary. But in addition, we, by faith, call on the name of Jesus and agree that He saved us from our own sinfulness, forgives us all of our sins, gives us new life (His) that is eternal, and will spend eternity with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit after we die.
Beverly, if you believe in Jesus and in all that He did as our Savior, then you can be assured that you are saved and that the Father has chosen you and drawn you to Jesus. No one can snatch you from Him. He will preserve you in faith in this life because He will not lose even one whom the Father has given Him. Praise be to our amazing God!
In our saved new life, we will certainly desire to live in faith and obedience to Jesus. The Holy Spirit dwells in us and helps us through God's grace. yet, as long as we are in this life with our sinful nature, we will sin.
We see; as in my study in Psalms that David realized that there needed to be a continuing relationship with the Lord. We must understand as Peter learned the hard way that our own fortitude is not to be trusted. He somehow; along with the other disciples put Christ's frequent warnings about the upcoming crucifixion; as well as the prophecy about his own denial of Christ which was to occur the night of the trial before Pilate 3 times in the back of his mind. He knew better; or so he thought as he was always backed up (such as when he began to sink walking on the water). Christ had avoided assassination attempts 9 or 10 times already for the 3 1/2 years he had been with him along with the others. Things were to change real quick. The hour of darkness had come; and Peter had to be broken to later be restored (2nd part of the prophecy). Once the Resurrection occurred; then Christ could hallenge Peter 3 times if he truly loved Him; as he was to be taken where he didn't want to go (in other words a Word about his death). Paul also had a word of knowledge about his trip to Jerusalem where he eventually; perhaps much later than he first thought was led to his own martyrdom. He took it with faith knowing heaven was a much better place (Phillipians 1:21).
Wisdom also can be seen in something like finances. ( Luke 16:10). The trust of God in us relates to where our heart is now.
Money itself is neither good or bad (and today truly is worthless; just waiting for the official statement there if you get my drift).
Truly we must as the coin says trust God as He has allowed us to still prosper somewhat as compared to much of the world. As long as there is some financial system or commodity of value; a long term gain is always best in low risk and slow accumulation of resources rather than high risk deals. Of course we need to have enough wisdom to keep a work ethic to provide for ourselves ( 2 THESSALONIANS 3:10).
I was encouraged through your faith. Even through those tragedies: you proclaim love for Biblical Truth & trusting GOD's ways are always helpful.
Your comment is very difficult to answer because of the severe troubles you've faced & currently living in. I've had to take time with GOD & through the Holy Spirit leading without emotional bias, etc. Know, I have lifted the whole situation up in prayer.
Here are powerful scriptures to hopefully help emotionally, spiritually, with strength in faith & hope to endure; for each day or every moment you need them. Psalms 43:1,
For wisdom : Proverbs 29:27, Zephaniah 3:5, Luke 16:10, Matthew 25:31-46, Luke 18, Proverbs 21:3, Isaiah 58 - Isaiah 59, Ecclesiastes 5:8,
Who is Satan that is cast into the bottomless (the grave)?
The princes of this world, that die still in deception of the gospel of the kingdom of God
Who is the beast?
The beast is the forth kingdom on earth, the kingdom of God. ( Daniel 7:23)
What is the 1000 years?
It's the day of the Lord, one day is as a thousand years, so far it has been 2000 years, and those that have departed during that time have been reigning with Christ, study the parable of the workers in the vineyard ( Matthew 20:1-16).
Revelation 11:7 And when they (the two witnesses, the law and prophets, foretelling of Christ) shall have finished their testimony) the beast (the forth kingdom on earth, the kingdom of God, Luke 16:16) that asscened out of the bottomless pit shall make war with them and shall overcome them and, kill them (they prophesied of Christ's death on the cross).
Revelation is the revealing of Jesus Christ, there is not a seven year tribulation, God's children are caught up to him one at a time.
Revelation is all symbolic of the fulfillment of the kingdom of God.
All the answers are in Mosses and the prophets.
Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
I was raised in a Baptist church, they are as deceived as are all the other churches.
You learn God's word by going into the wilderness ( Mark 1:12)
The first verse in Revelation tells us that Revelation is the revealing of Jesus Christ, so the beast is not technology.
The prophecies have the answers to Revelation and all the symbols.
Daniel 7:17 These great beast, which are four, are four kings .....
Daniel 7:19 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast ......
Daniel 7:23 ....the forth beast shall be the forth kingdom on the earth .....
Daniel 7:22 Until the ancient of days (Christ) come ......
Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John, since that time the KINGDOM of God (the forth kingdom on earth) is preached, and every man PRESSES INTO IT.
The beast in Revelation is the Kingdom of God .....CHRIST IN YOU .....
Revelation 13:3 And I saw one of his (the beast, the kingdom of God) heads as it were wounded to death (Christ died on the cross); and his deadly wound was healed (Christ was resurrected), and all the world wondered after the beast (the kingdom of God).
New York City and every other city that has, and will exist, is the whore that rides the Beast, that includes you and I and everyone who has lived and is yet to live. All mankind is the whore, we're unfaithful to the word of God, until we are born of TRUTH.
The Beast is as real as it gets:
Daniel 7:7 ...and behold a forth beast........
The forth beast is the Kingdom of God. This Beast arrived when John the Baptist came preaching the kingdom of God.
Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time, the kingdom of God is preached, and every man PRESSED INTO IT.
Revelation 14:19 And the angel thrust his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great WINEPRESS of the wrath of God.
I believe it's possibly scriptures mixed together that are actually separate. However the main point you're getting from it seems to be in Paul's letters to the Church in Corinthian: 1Corinthians 7, note 1Corinthians 7:10-17,
Mark 10:1-31, Luke 16:13-31, John 4:1-43, Ephesians 5:33, Romans 7:2, John 8:1-11
Psalm 1 is only five verses long; but contains several very important themes. Namely; it is avoiding heeding to the council of the wicked in terms of taking to heart; the character; longevity and wisdom of the righteous and their eternal destinies; and the opposing state of the wicked.
There are warnings for those who would esteem men and exalt those who the world does in Luke 16:15. The foolishness of God is greater than any of man's vain knowledge ( 1 Corinthians 1:25). We see this pattern among many of the Pharisees who believed but becuase they did not wish to lose their position in the Synagogue remained silent. (see John 12:42). We must heed warnings such as that of Jesus who stated that "he who confesses me before men I will confess before the Father in heaven in Matthew 10:32 and the denial of those who will deny Him in the very next verse. We see what the wicked counsel of the Jews led to with the crucifixion of Christ. At the very least we must heed to Revelation 3:11 which in my book is a very undervalued admonition about losing our reward and basically handing it over to another. We also must take care not to behave as the world does with gossip and chatter about every controversy.
Verse 2 and 3 discuss the characteristics of the righteous. We are reminded here of Psalm 119 where the longest chapter in all scripture repeats over and over the love of the law of God which is only possible with a regenerated heart; else it ends up being religious self-righteousness. The result of such a character is perseverance of character; and blessings for this life and the one to come.
Verse 4 and 5 discuss the wicked. It shows how they won't even stand at the judgment. That makes it clear why we shouldn't stand with them in the first place. They are compared to chaff (also seen in the N.T. and in Job 21:18; etc).
The last verse shows how God keeps His sheep; and the wicked basically are on a default mode to destruction.
When we observe professing Christians; there are many clues as to whether they are "fruit producers" or not. This could be more adequately explained by comparing all "professors" of the faith to those "possessors" of the Holy Spirit. Here are some helpful verses to examine ourselves as well as get some clues as to where others are spiritually.
"He chastises everyone He loves." ( Heb. 12:6). Those of us who have been truly walking the straight and narrow know better than to glibly pray for something like patience. To freely embrace a verse like James 1:2 where we are told to "consider it all joy" when various trials/temptations come pass need to trust the Lord that He knows how to work all circumstances for the good OF THOSE WHO LOVE GOD (and called according to His purpose: Romans 8:28). This is the best way we can distinguish who is in the faith; those who truly understand not only that their sins have been forgiven; but they have a new Lord; Savior AND master. His sheep hear His voice; they may go astray for a time but the Chief Shephard brings in the lost 1 from the 99. ( Luke 15:4).
"if you love me you will obey my commandments." ( John 14:15). This verse may seem to contradict the ones where people were doing all sorts of "good works" in His name but were not His sheep ( Matt. 7:21-23). This is a caution to anyone who would have a ministry based on their own name; or type of gifting and certainly for the prosperity gospel leadership. We saw the same self-righteous religion with the Pharisees. Judas Iscariot is a pathetic example who was somehow convinced to betray Christ for 30 pieces of silver; apparently 4 days wages at that time although it would show silver vastly more valuable then compared to today's valuation. It was the seduction of power; then which Satan used to draw him in; thus the verse The admonitions of Luke 6:26 and Luke 16:15 serve aw warnings for those loving praise of men over praise of God.
And in Luke 16:23-31 The rich man in Hades having filled up his eyes in torment pleaded for to return from among the dead to his fathers house and warn his family suggests he had total recall of his life here on earth.
This is interesting; I hadn't looked into that book before. There are two intersting facts; apparently the author himself stated that the Hebrew canon was complete and therefore this writing wasn't to be placed in that material. There is practical wisdom that seems ok and tied into scripture except for the lack of belief in judgment in the afterlife. Thus; they were apparently like the Sadducees not believing in the Resurrection.
The clearest verse in scripture is "absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." ( 2 Cor. 5:6). There are other verses such as Hebrews 9:27 stating that we are destined to die once then face the judgment. The distinction needs to be made between the body "qeber" in the original language describing the BODY and it's passions sleeping in the dust of the earth and "sheol" which is the underworld where all those who died used to go to until Psalm 68:18 and other verses show that "captivity was made captive."
Christ's sacrifice allowed the souls of the rightous to leave the pleasant side of Sheol (such as seen with the parable of Lazarus and the rich man in Luke 16:19-31) and go to heaven ( 1 Peter 3:18-20). His preaching to the wicked was a declaration or show of victory along with the righteous souls released; many of which appeared after His Resurrection. ( Matt. 27:53). This was a sort of "first" of the firstfruits of whom we will be a part after our living Head Christ went first bodily to heaven.
There are many other verses that could be quoted as well. Soul sleep just isn't scriptural.
Christ constantly caught flack from his peers, he said we should expect the same thing.
You have ALREADY BEEN RESURRECTED.
John 11:25 ....I am the resurrection, and the LIFE .....

Revelation 14:19 And the angel thrust his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great WINEPRESS of the wrath of God.
We are the grapes of the vine, and we have to be PRESSED to become the NEW WINE ---this is a parable ---
God Bless You as HE leads you to all truth.
Isaiah 55, = John 6, Matthew 6, Luke 16:13,
Please prayerfully consider these scriptures,
God cannot look onto sin ( Matt.
It's important to understand the Biblical laws of marriage were given to Moses for Israel & "the Children of GOD" John 1:12, also Romans 8, relevant.
These laws are for GOD fearing, believers, a guideline for what's best.

This scripture may be exactly what you were looking for: 1John 5:13,14, in context 1John 5, continued from 1John 4,
I thank the LORD, showing me today.

What is the bottomless pit?
It is the grave.
Who has the keys to death and the grave?
Christ has the keys to the bottomless pit.
Who arose out of the bottomless pit?
Christ arose out of death and the grave.
God Bless You!
God Bless You.

The Beast is as real as it gets:
Daniel 7:7 ...and behold a forth beast........

Indicating he went to the right side of Paradise.
