70 weeks have been fulfilled. "He" in the 27th verse is the Messiah. This prophecy and vision is about the Messiah, and the time determined upon Daniel's people, City and Temple. After He was cut off, the covenant kept being confirmed by apostles and disciples by the Spirit of Christ to the circumcision until Acts 7. Romans 15:8 Galatians 3:17 Malachi 3:1, Micah 7:19-20, Luke 1:68-74, Acts 7.

Glory to the God of Israel. "For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation."
How great is our God? He sent his only begotten son to this wicked world to redeem us. I count it as a privilege and honor to serve King Jesus! Be blessed people of God!

JESUS CHRIST is God the Creator, the Father, the Son and our Saviour the Redeemer. Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD and beside me there is no saviour. Luke 1:47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. Acts 13:23 Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus: Philippians 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 1 Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

    V. 4 (If God says he has feathers and wings; HE HAS feathers and wings. If he does not have feathers how could he cover someone, if he does not have wings how could someone be under them? Yet he says he is able to do these things!) Luke 1:37 Nothing shall be impossible with God.
    Amen.

Our God is a good God all the time. He is a promising God he loves all of us that we cant imagine only believe him and seek our God first into our lives. All things that we need will be added. If we believe in Jesus we have everything that we need. Thanks to Jesus for sheding his precious blood to us so that we may have life in abundance. Jesus is our Life our Savior and our Jehovah the Provider.

When we sometimes worry about our lives we should remember that with God all things are possible.
  • Musa on Luke 1:20 - 9 years ago
This is a very powerful verse. Note that due to a lack of faith in God, Zacharias was made deaf and dumb, in order that the good plans God had for him be fulfilled. God uses even what may seem like trials and tribulations, for the fulfilment of his plans. Which are always for our own good.

God is faithful to deliver us. We are always under the shadow of the Almighty even as Mary Luke 1:35 . This is my mother's favorite psalm and I love it and love her for pointing me to God's Word.
  • Pastor Ann on Luke 1 - 9 years ago
There's power in being spiritual and righteous waiting upon God when Mary was told though there was alittle fear but she accepted and believed and said be it unto me according to thy word luke 1:38 and amazingly God did as he had said so the word of God doesnot lie.

what is so wonderful to me is that Zacharias recognized the angel and fell upon him, so if an angel appeared to us in a human form will we recognize an angel, personally I have felt the present of a host of angels around me for protection,it was an amazing feeling, because I could sense their presents around me.
  • Lisa Ubiwa on Luke 1 - 9 years ago
verse 19 20 got me excited. Angel Gabriel did not find Zachariah 's response funny. He is an angel who stands in the presence of God, he has heard and have seen the result of words spoken by God. Now, for a man to doubt these words was an error..he struck Zachariah with dumbness. We have to take the word of God seriously because it is alive and full of power. Heb 4:12
  • Grant on Matthew 22:45 - 9 years ago
I must comment on Anthony Smith assumption of Jesus being God in the flesh. First of all when the angel anounced the Mary about having her first child, he proclaimed what the name of the child would be and who the father was. Jesus and Son of the most high. Luke 1:31,32. Second, no one has seen God at anytime as a human. Jn.1:18. Jesus has seen the Father, but not in his freshly state. Jn.17:5. The best that Jesus 's disciples could do when they wanted to see the Father was right in front of them, Jesus, Gods representative. Remember, God is spirit.

The Name of the Father, Jesus said, I manifested thy name John 17:6 I declared thy name John 17:26 What name did he manifest declare. In my name ye shall. Mark 16:16-18. As he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent Name than the angels. Hebrews 1:4. We all inherit our names from our Father, but that name was kept secret in the old test. The angel of The Lord had that name in him. Ex. 23:21 My name is in him. Judges 13:18 seeing it is secret. Luke 1:31. The angel said thou shall call his name Jesus. Isaiah 12:2 Jehovah is become my salvation, which means Jesus. The mighty God. The Everlasting Father, his name is Jesus. Jesus said no man know who the Father is but the Son, and to whomever he will reveal him Math. 11:27. Pray the Son will give u revelation.

I just discovered a very interesting thing in Luke chapter 1that as believers we should be proud of and walk tall focused with our eyes fixed in our Lord Jesus, the Father and the Holly Spirit . 1.the two women Elizabeth and Marry were living uprightly before God . 2.the two women ,the fact that they were found fixed the eyes in God they were blessed above measure and gave life to the whole word coz Heavens were opened for them. 3.they both experience the visitation of God through the same ANGEL of God in a deferent way but the blessing is the same . people of GOD the HOLYSPIRIT will come over you and the power of the HIGHEST WILL FOLLOW for you to birth your miracle. Stay blessed.

that God is so thorough getting ready to present His son that because Zachariah doubted he was stuck dumb he went home and he and Elizabeth conceived , they still felt ashamed but when Mary came ....... these chapters I hope went into peoples hearts knowing God and His angels have everything in control that His word is good "call upon the name of the Lord said " I will show you great and wonderful things " says the Lord
