MYSTERY OF THE NEPHILIM REVEALED

Gen.6:4

Scriptural Facts:

1. Heavenly or Fallen Angels can not procreate according to biblical scripture. ( Matt. 22:30; Mark 12:25; Luke 20:34)

2. There is no evidence from the dead sea scrolls on gen.6:4 that the Nephilim were the offspring of the sons of God and daughters of men.

3. The Nephilim were present before and after the sons of God and daughters of man had intercourse.

4. Sons of God could mean holy Angels or holy men according to scripture. ( Job 1:6; 2:1), ( Psalm 82:6, Hos. 1:10; John 10:34-38, Matt. 5:9; Luke 3:38; Rom. 8:14)

Knowing these facts; we can rule out that the sons of God are angels in gen 6:4 because they procreate.

Therefore, they must be men that had God's favor(Seth's lineage). The daughters of man would be women without God's favor(Cain's lineage). Their offspring would be human.

What are these Nephilim?

Well, they can't be the offspring of the sons of God and daughters of man according to the facts stated above; because the nephilim were present when the sons of God lusted the daughters of man. How could the Nephilim be present when the sons of God first had sex with the daughters on man? Wouldn't they need to be born first?

The interpretation from a root word naphil of Nephilim means fallen ones.

Look at the similarities of seraphim and cherubim. Now look at Nephilim.

Seraphim and Cherubim are Holy Angels.

Doesn't it make since that the Nephilim would be Fallen angels?

The men of renown is another way of referring to famous biblical characters like Adam, seth, Enoch, and Noah.

How did the spies from moses know what the Nephilim looked like or were?

Stories told from generation to generation about them being frightening.

When the spies saw giant men, they were frightened and thought they were the Nephilim.

Yes Chris...I should have known after RC grade school and high school...but had no knowledge of biblical teachings I just knew the mass. There is an "auto pilot" reaction to taking a pue at mass for many.

Yes, I praise God that He delivered my family from datkness! Now there is true love in my heart for the Lord and a desire to fellowship with Him. I used to be afraid to think about God because I did not understand grace. I thought I had to earn my way into Heaven and knew that I was not "good enough". I'm surprised that as a former RC you didn't believe in the pre-existence of Jesus (as the Word of God, of course). The Nicene Creed specifically states that Jesus was there prior to His birth in Bethlehem. "I believe in the one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages, God from God, etc.etc." Anyway, now that the Light from God's Word has now shined upon you, your knowledge of your Saviour has increased making more sense of God's provision of His Own Sacrifice for each one of us. Andrew, I believe your objection is to the use of the term "trinity" which is confusing for those who are not believers. In fact this term is used against Christianity by muslims and other pagans. As a former catholic, I can say that I believed that there was no Jesus Christ until Bethlehem. It was not until I started to read the bible that I understood that the Son of God and the Holy Spirit are not separate from God the Father. They are three distinct and eternal beings that are ,together, the one and only God.

Carl, if you would permit me to take up your Scripture reference to a similar one in Matthew 21:42-44 as there is a little more given there.

Jesus was speaking to the chief priests & elders (v23), concerning the condition of their hearts, the reception they gave Him & the judgement of God they rightly deserved (vv 33-46).

In verse 42, Jesus speaks of the cornerstone of a building, which in those days, would have been a larger stone, with special markings that made it important & warranted a place of prominence. But in the parable, Jesus, as the Stone that the builders (the Jews which should have recognized the Messiah & built upon from His coming) rejected (rejected & crucified Him), the same One that they rejected, God had made the Cornerstone (of a new building, not of Jews, but those who would believe in Jesus Christ).

Verse 43: The Kingdom of God, which should have been the joy & presence of God amongst His people, were taken from them, as being unworthy, & given to another which would bring forth good fruit & not rotten fruit as the Jews did in their treatment of their Messiah.

Verse 44: upon this Cornerstone from God, if any should fall over this prominent Stone (i.e. be injured by their disobedience even though Jesus was there with them, & tripping on it, being made destitute & miserable), their injury would be severe. But there would still be hope if they learned from their hurt. However, to those that the Stone should fall upon, they would be ground to powder (the final judgement of the Messiah-rejecting Jews will be so severe, that it is likened to a complete desolation, with their remains blown into the winds as powder disperses). The picture here is something they would understand: of one about to be stoned for a crime - the witness would first cast the first blow to kill him, but if that didn't do the job, then he would be put to death by a large stone dropped on the head. This was probably how Stephen died at the hands of Saul ( Acts 7:58-60).

What does it mean that who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces ?

Also, Thank you for confirming my suspicion that the "Escape of the Bride" is nonsense, and detrimental to believers in Christ who are being misled by a group of people who think they can put a date on something where scripture shows NO date!!! Rick, this group speaks of the initial taking away of the Church (the pre-Tribulation escape as they call it in 2020), & then the mid-Trib. Rapture of the remaining Church in 2026. All gobbledegook & not Scriptural based.

I urge you to avoid this sort of stuff as they are just added to the great list of other groups & cults that have attempted to put dates on future biblical events & have failed. Just look at the many attempts by the JWs. The Scriptures urge us to be ready for the Lord's coming, to keep short accounts with Him, & be watchful. There will be world events that will show us that time is getting short (keep your eyes peeled on Israel & Jerusalem), but to put a date & time on these events, is very unwise indeed.

Only Father God knows the time. Jesus doesn't know it.

The Bride of Christ is male, female, young, old, children; Born again deceased, pre-born.

I have recently heard of the,... "Escape of the Bride". Which supposedly will happen on May 31, 2020. Is this true? Can you explain this to me? How is this different from the Rapture?

Tribulation Period & Antichrist: Daniel 9; Matt 24 : Revelation 13; Luke 20:41-47 (Antichrist will say he is a Jew? 'Davidic Line' but is not and speaks about the Pope and Vatican/scribes, long robes (vs.46), ( Rev. 2:9, "I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, & are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.")

In Matthew 23rd chapter, Jesus begins by issuing a warning to the crowd, or to the common people, regarding the pharisees and the other religious leaders. This was clearly an indication of Jesus's final rejection of the religious leadership's influence and security on the people,[ref. Mark 12:38 also Luke 20:45-47]. Moses's seat indicates most high authority. Be watchful of falsities and wolves.

If they admitted John was a prophet, they would be validating Jesus' ministry, his Christhood, a thing they were unwilling to do...Jesus had them trapped. And they well knew it.

This chapter removes all doubt that Jesus is indeed the son of God as shown in the parable here. Also, there is a resurrection for all who have died including our loved ones. Also this chapter as others in the gospel shows Jesus' answers could not come from any ordinary person and could not be made up by anyone. Jesus is indeed the true messiah even the blind world still cannot see the truth.

So Jesus was preaching a form of replacement theology. The kingdom of God has been given to the Church and taken from the Jewish religion until the time when the Jews receive Christ as their Messiah.

Hi Harold; Good question: let's look it up! In every case but one ( Luke 20:36), there is only one word, 'angelos;' to bring tidings; a messenger; (esp. 'Angels'); by implication a Pastor: Angel, Messenger; (Strong's). Luke 20:36 "Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the ANGELS.." 'isangelos' Like an Angel, i.e. Angelic; "Equal unto the Angels." Read also Hebrews 1:14.

The Jews' "religion" is not of God! They are the descendant of those who slew the Heir, and seized control of God's vineyard for themselves; ( Matthew 21:38; Mark 12:7; Luke 20:14). They are Israel's Rulers which CAUSE THEM TO ERR; for they themselves do not enter the kingdom of God, and they forbid and hinder everyone who does. They do not submit to God, are contrary to all, and do not please Him!

Who among you can understand parable, the way Jesus taught. A certain man is God. He let the vineyard to tribes of Israel. He sent forth the prophet whom the people despised.
