Matthew 24:29,30 -AFTER the tribulation of those days..' etc.

The youtube channel 'Servus Christi' does an very methodical expounding of the rapture question. If you type in his channel name and 'rapture' it will pop up.

    Blessings!

It seems to fit; but also the warnings of those whose garments needed to be made white through the blood of the lamb could indicate those not fit for the Rapture; if indeed it is a reward not a salvation issue. It also challenges those who truly are saved now. Certainly there are resurrections; of the 2 witnesses and likely the 144,000 in the Tribulation; and a remnant physically survive into the Millenium. The point being; as you stated the verse in Luke about praying in Latin uses a ward for "agony" so that it is clearly only a few involved. Let's face it not too many believers are doing this. To pray to be worthy surely would indicate something like the Malachi 3 indication of a book of remembrance of those who fear the Lord; and a crown for those who are longing and waiting patiently for His return as the N.T. indicates. There are many tares mixed in with the wheat today.

There of course are issues with many who have for decades now tried to pinpoint a date. Now; it would appear the last generation didn't start in 1948 according to the Psalm 90:10 principle. I have a theory on that as well. The point is; He is with us until the end of the Age. Those who need to be warned are those not prepared; not those who love the Lord. If we are wrong there they will deal with whatever happens as they always have; in faith. But from my observations; the faithful are browbeaten about being strong enough to endure the Tribulation. I am convinced all the preparation is fruitless for that; although wisdom surely should determine resources now if He tarries with eventual power grid; food supply and wartime scenarios. There is a proverb that he who is wise winneth souls; and "he who sows in tears will reap in joy" or something to that affect. ( Psalm 126:6). We should strive to be faithful servants until He returns; not as the unwise who gets drunk and beats his fellowservants!

    George,

Although I also believe in a Pre-Tribulation rapture, I do not think that Luke 21:36 would show proof of that. Also, I am not too sure about John Chapter 14 giving definitive proof. Are you referring to John 14:3 by chance? Some people think John 14:3 is the rapture of the church, and some people think it is the second coming of Christ. Personally, I believe that it describes the time when we receive Christ. Jesus says He's leaving but He is coming back, that where Jesus is, we will be also. And where is the Lord right now? If we've received Christ, He lives in us. We are that dwelling place. We are that mansion!

I have seen many Christians debate this topic passionately and I personally have never taken part as I haven't formed a solid opinion, knowing that end times isn't a salvation issue and that we're just to be on guard regardless of how the end times plays out. But this one verse seems convincing and I wonder what verse do people cite who believe in post tribulation rapture?
  • George J Hanson on Luke 21 - 2 years ago
Is not Luke 21:36 Proof of a pre-tribulation rapture? Pray you may be found worthy to escape these things. Escape what the Tribulation just described. I believe scripture as a whole makes a pre-tribulation rapture clear. Jesus taught it in John 14!

I was taught that Israel was the center of "Bible Interpretation", the World.

I only mentioned Genesis, about blessing Israel. For more clarity we should compare Leviticus 26:14-39. If we cannot see this correction happening in our society, then we are blind.

Worse yet we are mute. Should we be silent?

All I know is we're being invaded from within. From other nations.

Do you think I didn't pray about this? I did. One word was given to me: CONSTITUENTS.

That's what each person is. It has nothing to do with Blues or Reds. It is the Haves vs the Have Nots. Our voices are Muted. Leaders are no longer listening to their constituents.

In the Tribulation, no one will have a voice. The IRS will take our photographs IF WE EXPECT to get a tax return. To drive a car we will be fingerprinted and photographed again. Powers that be, are working on how to force people to be implanted with microchips to use our own money.

There's a video on YouTube of them practicing on chickens, I kid you not.

    Romans 13:11

And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of SLEEP: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

Ephesians 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that Sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee Light.

Luke 21:34-36, And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so THAT DAY come upon you unawares.

1 Thessalonians 5:6 - Therefore let us not SLEEP, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

If we don't wake up real soon, to counter and confront our leaders (?) we are without excuse. We are being prepared for the slaughter, not just the unborn, but for the living unsaved. Can you shed a tear for those who are doomed? They have no clue, literally.

    Please let's find our voices?

May These Messages Awaken Us to the Lateness of the Hour. Pray.

    Dear Simplebeliever

    Please read Luke 21:34-36.

"34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man."

Pay attention to verse 34. Jesus talks to His disciples. How, we christians, are of a danger to drift away from God and be unprepared due to the cares of this world when during the times of antichrist Christians are going to hide themselves to save their lifes and suffer because they will not accept the mark? How could we have cares at that time? If smd won't accept the mark he could not work, sell or buy. How can then care about this life? Care while suffering and getting beheaded by antichrist? Getting drunk while in danger? Doesn't make sense It is obvious that rapture will occur at some other time when people live an ordinary life.

Also pay attention to verse 36. Jesus tells us to pray to escape from all those sufferings and stand in front of God, not go through them.

    Daniel 7:27

And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, SHALL BE GIVEN to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and ALL DOMINIONS shall serve and obey him.

    Daniel 6:26

I make a decree, That in every DOMINION of my KINGDOM- men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and HIS KINGDOM that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

    John 18:36

Jesus answered, MY KINGDOM is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

    ***** Luke 17:21*****

Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is WITHIN YOU.

    Luke 21:10

Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

[mishael: every nation on earth is called, a kingdom. But none is called THE kingdom.

Gods kingdom exists in heaven and within every born again believer in Jesus Christ.

    Luke 21:11-12

"Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines and pestilences. And fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven." Jesus

    2 Esdras 9: 1-13

"Consider all these things very carefully. When you see that some of the signs I have told you about have appeared, you will know that the time has come when God Most High will bring judgment on the world he has created.

There will be earthquakes, national rebellions, international intrigues, unstable leaders, and confused rulers. When you see these things happening, you will know that they are what God Most High has spoken about since the beginning of creation.

The beginning and the end of everything that happens in this world are clear. The same is true in the world above: wonders and miracles show the beginning of events, and mighty signs show when they end.

"Some people will escape destruction and be saved by their good works and by their faith. All of them will survive the dangers I have described and will enjoy the salvation provided in the land that I have set apart from eternity as my own.

Then those who have ignored my ways and held them in contempt will be surprised when they find themselves in continual torment. This will include all those who ignored me while they were alive, even though they accepted the blessings I gave them. It will include all those who scorned my Law during the time they were free to do so and all those who refused to repent while they still had the chance.

The torment they will have to suffer after death will force them to recognize the truth.

Therefore, Ezra, you should stop asking questions about how the wicked will be punished. Instead, be concerned about how and when the righteous will be saved.

The world was created for them and belongs to them."

    Dear Ren

Please read Matthew 24:36-44. Pay attention to verses 38 and 39. (Also Luke 17:26-27). Jesus says in simple words that on the day He comes people will deal with their everyday works just as another ordinary day in this world. So it is obvious that that day can not be at the end of the week (7 years) that the antichrist will rule on earth because at that time catastrophies, disasters, word war, hunger and death (tribulation) will happen on earth. People will be frightened to death of the happenings to come on earth.(See Luke 21:25-27).They are not ordinary times when people have their everyday life. Jesus talks about some other time that life on earth is normal with people doing their normal activities.

Please read Luke 21:34-35 Jesus warns us, His disciples, to be careful to be ready when He comes and not to allow cares of this life to make us loose and unprepared. But we know in Revelation people will have to put on themselves the mark 666 so to be able to buy and sell. How is then possible for christians to care for things in this world? During the time of antichrist christians will hide to save their lives from the beast. they will be slaughtered. So the coming of Jesus to grab His church is a different day from the day He comes with His saints and angels to beat the army of antichrist in the fight of Armagedon. It precedes tribulation, it is still a good time.. So when is that time that Jesus comes to grab His church? Read 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12. Pay attention to verses 6, 7 and 8. Here it says that the antichrist will not appear until somebody who prevents him is taken out of this world. The most usual explanation is that "he to be taken out" is the Holly Spirit. And since the church can not exist without the Holly Spirit, the church has to go as well. Satan can not rule on earth as long as the church is in the world. We have authority on him. Many can be said but not in a post.

Rapture commentary. This subject; along with many others can be either over or under emphasized in our meditation; study and application. We are to "encourage one another" with the words relating to the coming of the Lord ( Romans 14:19). To escape wrath for those that make the Rapture has to mean even; and especially the first seal for several reasons. First of all; Christ personally is the only one who is able to open the seals ( Rev. 5:1-7). Second; a STRONG Delusion is going to come for those who do not LOVE the truth so that they will believe the LIE ( 2 Thess. 2:11). The covenant with Death and Hell ( Dan. 9:27; Isaiah 28:18) will commence. The restrainer will be removed ( 2 Thess. 2:6) that indicates the Spirit working as He does now in the church age.

Judgment begins at the house of God ( 1 Peter 4:17). There are some; who are living rebellious lives now and whose hearts are far from Him who may identify as "Christian"; others never have identified as believers. Whether any truly Born Again individuals are "left behind" or not; it is healthy to read all scriptures. Surely not everyone who professes Christ is "praying always to be worthy to escape ALL that is to come; and to stand before the Son of Man ( Luke 21:36); nor are they like the Philadelphia church to be "kept from the hour of trial" to encompass all the world ( Rev. 3:10). The "fire" of testing our works at the Bema Seat for those who have much wood and stubble will result in them being saved but suffering loss ( 1 Cor. 3:10-11). Many clearly are asleep at this hour; but in any event those who are His will hear His voice ( John 10:27).

The focus of the Rapture tends to be skewed on individual experiences related to visions or dreams on the subject. The Body of Christ is involved in actively being present during His judgments on the earth. Psalm 91:8 shows how we shall only see the judgment of the wicked from afar. We shall rule and reign with Him after He returns ( Dan. 7:27).

Yes. America is mystery Babylon of Revelation 17, and allies operate the Babylon system. America has become the antithesis of God's church, that sits on 7 continents. Israel has become perverted, the daughter of Babylon. Babylon is defeated by the beast, and the beast continues on 42 months.

The battle is referred to in 4 Biblical scenarios:

    1) the king of the north vs the king of the south, Daniel 11:40

    2) Esau vs Jacob, Obadiah 1

    3) the beast vs Babylon, Revelation 17

    4) the 6th trumpet beast army defeats the 5th trumpet US army to dust, Revelation 9

Then, there are scriptures that describe the cataclysmic attack on Babylon's two lands, two houses: Revelation 17 (set up), Joel 2:1-11 (missile description), Isaiah 13, Isaiah 21:1-9, Isaiah 47, Ezekiel 21:1-24, Ezekiel 38:1-17, Jeremiah 50, Jeremiah 51, Revelation 18, Luke 21:20-24 (Israel's fall in same hour Joel 3:1) and Isaiah 24 (aftermath).

Ezekiel 21:12 confirms that the attack is upon God's people. It will be 539 BC all over, again.

The subject of prophecy is complex and as a new Christian 40 years ago something that was often on my mind. The basic crux of theory as to the last generation was that 1948 with Israel becoming a nation in a day ( Isaiah 66:7-8) which was prophesied meant that that was the beginning of that generation. Well; it is 2022; and with Psalm 90:10 pretty well showing the length of a generation being 70 years or 80 at most we are already going to go to at least 2029 before the 2nd coming. (Interestingly the second part of the Psalm 90:10 about "labor and sorrow" do sound like labor pains; but also could just show the natural end of life for the individual.

Anyway; some say that the fig tree parable assures us of 1948; or perhaps 1967 when Jerusalem was recaptured. That was under the assumption of a 40 year generation when I was a young Christian. Many forget the second part of the prophecy about ALL the leaves ( Luke 21:29 and other gospel passages). This would tie into the land of "unwalled villages" with the Ezekiel 38 war as well; and the prosperity in the land. It would seem that oil and natural resources are beginning to be the "hook in the jaw" for many-whether Russia is Gog; or Turkey and other nations who may fit the bill better. Anyway; it seems that Psalm 83 who discuss the surrounding nations (such as Palestinians) and perhaps Syria would show a war with the surrounding immediate neighbors; and the Gog/Magog the outer perimeter. Probably; the Gulf nations will have prosperity first for a time after Israel begins to expand their borders; and share the economic prosperity with other nations. The peace treaty ideas starting a few years back seems to have the beginnings of Daniel 9:27 and Daniel 11:39 "dividing the land for gain" with all the land and money brokering. It could all happen between the first and 2nd seal but it seems it will be before that.

For now; judgment begins with the House of God. ( 1 Peter 4:17). Keep the faith! Agape.

    Free,

You are in N. Europe, right? The day Russia destroys America and its allies roundabout, you'll be in a panic. Then thoughts will come to mind about who Babylon was, and how you could be so well read, yet miss the warnings provided.

The day of the Lord attack is against God's people and those people are US/Israel, both houses of Israel. God's people changed from righteous, to treacherous, so they need to be destroyed. America to desolation Joel 2, Israel to captivity Luke 21:20-24

Ezekiel 21:12 Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people (US/Israel), it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: smite therefore upon thy thigh.

Jeremiah 50, like 50 stars on the flag. 43 The king of Babylon hath heard the report of them (missiles), and his hands waxed feeble: anguish took hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in travail.

This passage shows the last great speech of Moses; before he went to his death as stated in verse 21 and 22. Even he was unable; because of one time of anger striking the rock for water an extra time (symbolic in some ways of Christ) that he was not allowed to enter the Promised Land but saw it from afar.

Once again; they are reminded not to worship idols. The past manifestations of God on the mountain with fire was reiterated; and warnings as to future sin and being dispersed among the nations in exile after many died in the land would certainly come to pass. There is even a prophetic statement about the last days and tribulation (v. 30) where God still promised some mercy for repentance. This demonstrates the sad reality that Moses knew as God Himself that there would be rebellion as long as man remained in his sinful state until Christ returns. Nonetheless; God's covenant would remain (verse 31).

The blindness among the nation of Israel will finally be removed right before the return of Christ according to Zechariah. Romans states this as continuing until the "time of the Gentiles be complete ( Romans 11:25; see also Luke 21:24). Truly, there has been a time in the wilderness for the Jews up until today; as they have been unable to assess the suffering servant in Isaiah 53 as being Christ. Sadly; many will fall for Antichrist when "another comes in his own name" ( John 5:43). The lesson of going after enemies without God's blessing due to sin in the camp was something prevalent at that time. It was sin which caused such an extensive delay to get out of the desert; and would continually cause the nation to fall short of the promises in God's covenant for the Promised Land. Nonetheless; mercy stands as we have a God much more patient than you or I. Time and time again He forgives despite the heart of man which is desperately wicked ( Jeremiah 17:9).

Genesis 1:26-28, "them" "be fruitful & multiply" Genesis 1:31,

Note Genesis 3:24 "drove out the man" singular, Genesis 3:23, "from the Garden of Eden" Genesis 3:22, "the man" is become like one of us, to know good & evil" is this religion?

    * Note, Genesis 4:14 ._._." everyone thst findeth me shall slay._." proof more people in earth. Genesis 4:15,

    * Genesis 4:16, appears she was from Nod.

Likewise in Genesis 4:23, the man that was slain wasn't mentioned here.

If you read & study the WORD of GOD, many times you will notice names & several other details are left out at times. 1Kings 17:9-24, same Widow? = Luke 4:26, Luke 7:12, Luke 21:2-3, yet many names are mentioned, when studying often times their names come up again, helping understand a more vast picture. Genesis 6:1-2, is this also in reference to Genesis 4:19, ?

Note Genesis 5, generation of Adam leaves out Cain, Abel & all other people. Again: Genesis 5:1-2, Gen 5:3, "male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day they were created" = them, their, they.

    Hopefully this is helpful

    Alex,

Daniel 12:1 is talking about the day of the Lord, the 6th trumpet strike, the fall of Babylon, the abomination of desolation, the great tribulation. The world will turn into a curse.

Ezekiel 38 talks of two clouds to cover the land. Ezekiel 21:19-20 talks about attacking 2 nations from one land. These two lands represent America and Israel, both houses of Israel, Gods people.

Ezekiel 21 has several depictions of Israel, "my people" vs 12 as being the subject of the slaughter.

The attack is against America, Israel and every nation allied with America. Isaiah 24:20 states the earth will be hit so hard that it will be knocked of its axis, the sun and moon will refuse to shine 1/3rd the day as a result.

Who will stop Russia besides nobody, Rev 13:3; they have God on their side. Isaiah 13:1-6, they come from a far country, "even the Lord with them". Joel 2:11, the Lord uttered His voice before "His army". God is preparing the sixth trumpet army (Russia) to annihilate the fifth trumpet army (US) to dust, Revelation 9.

Nothing like reading about it in real time, just as the little horn Daniel 7:8 starts to make his move.

    Day of the Lord: Isaiah 13, Isaiah 21:1-9, Isaiah 24, Isaiah 47, Ezekiel 21:1-24, Ezekiel 38:1-17, Jeremiah 50 & 51, Joel 2:1-11, Revelation 18 & Luke 21:20-24 (Israel's fall in same hour).

    Ronald,

You talk my language, we share the same interpretations. I told you a while ago that Christ had the first 1/2 of the week, and anti-christ had the second 1/2 of the week. The seven years prophesy is spread out over 2,000 years. That made sense to you, so instead of sticking to your own idea, you adopted it.

5th trumpet: ( Revelation 9:1-11) was 9-11-01. It was the US army that came out of the smoke like locusts to kill those without the seal of God in their foreheads (Muslim's). The US army didn't hurt any tree or green thing because the dessert has none (vs 4). The war on terror is over, troops are withdrawing ( Isaiah 33:1). We are awaiting the 6th seal, watching Revelation 17 simultaneously play out.

6th seal: ( Revelation 6:14) I see US/Israel attacking Iran's nuclear facility, a nuclear reaction, moving mountains. Scroll = mushroom cloud. Iran is the only recognized nuclear power in the ME, Israel's arch enemy, they have been talking about bombing Iran for 40 years, and they are always 6 months away, so the claim has merit.

Then, after a waiting period, there is a calm, a day with blue skies, and then the beast Russia strikes ( Jeremiah 15:7-9), changing the world forever. This is the day of the Lord ( Ezekiel 21). In the self-same hour that Babylon is taken. the earthquake opens up Israel to the beast invasion ( Revelation 6:12). This scripture is telling ( Luke 21:20-24) when Israel is attacked, where is the US to defend them? The US received ( Matthew 24:15). The beast, and his false prophet, China, will rule the world, fight bitterly, and eventually succumb to Christ Jesus at the last trumpet.

If we are in the end-times, shouldn't these prophesies manifest themselves before our eyes? Shouldn't they make themselves known? Yes, to those with understanding.
  • Cecil - In Reply - 2 years ago
    Chris,

I study in with wonderment, no fear, but I know what you mean.

The judgment is against Babylon, and the rest of the world, but specifically 2 lands. The world past the 6th trumpet will be a curse.

When America receives the abomination of desolation ( Isaiah 13, Isaiah 47, Joel 2:1-11, Revelation 18), Israel is invaded at the earthquake ( Revelation 6:12) and taken.

Ezekiel prophetically gives the blueprint that 2 lands, both houses of Israel (Israel & Judah) are to be attacked by Gog, Esau, king of the north, Russia, and soundly taken.

    ( Ezekiel 21:19-20)

19 Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city.

20 Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the Ammonites, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced.

Anti-christ rules everything. He rebuilds the temple in Jerusalem where he claims to be God. Jesus said, "Israel will be trodden underfoot 42 months by the Gentiles."

( Luke 21:24) And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

( Ezekiel 21:12) Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: smite therefore upon thy thigh.

"smite upon thy thigh" is a reference to Jacob receiving a wound in the 'hollow of his thigh' after wrestling the angel for the birthright. It coincides with the end-times because the great tribulation (6th trumpet) is referred to as Jacob's time of trouble. America is co-lead for the house of Israel. The Ashkenazim (Japheth) in Israel represent Judah ( Gen 10:2-3).

Prepare for the 6th trumpet, judgment day. God's people are in trouble.
  • Chris - In Reply - 2 years ago
Hi Cecil. I suppose it would be difficult, at least for me, to continue, given your understanding of these Scriptures, since our views are different on those you've cited.

Isaiah chapter 47 is about Babylon & the Chaldeans (Babylon's inhabitants). I don't see America or any other country in that chapter, nor anywhere else in the Bible. I don't say that the nations will not play a major part in the end times, but Isaiah doesn't show it. Indeed, the wicked acts in that chapter might be common to all nations, but to state any specific country other than what is given, would be unwise for me to do.

Luke 21:20-24 when Jerusalem will compassed with armies, is sometimes connected with the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70, though of course there will be other calamities during Anti-Christ's rule. And we know that Jerusalem has been invaded several times with many suffering & fleeing. But verse 24 I believe is the key: "Jerusalem will be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled." 1948 might have been a special year for Israel but not the end of the matters in the Bible. We are presently in those times of the Gentiles, whether for the gathering in of those still to be saved or even of Gentile powers against Israel. But when that time ends, Christ comes with His angelic forces to overthrow all who have opposed Israel. Yes, Israel will suffer, as they have throughout their history, but God in mercy, will still hold His Promise true & those who survive these destructions & those yet to be saved in Israel, will indeed know the salvation of God & His Christ.

    Chris & GiGi,

You are missing the point of the narrative, the sixth trumpet, the day of the lord, judgment day when both houses of Israel experience Jacobs time of trouble. Spend some time with Isaiah 47, see how America is described, told to sit in the dirt, in darkness.

You said Israel will be "preserved". Israel will be invaded and taken into a third captivity at the day of the lord ( Luke 21:20-24). America will be nowhere to be found to save Israel, they received their part in the abomination of desolation in the same hour, spoken of by Daniel. Antichrist rules all strong holds for 42 months, at which time Christ returns to take the kingdom. It is at this point and only at this point that Israel is reestablished, Isaiah 14:2, with the resurrected saints, and only the saints.

I think the scripture you're referring to is: (but it's not written that way). Matthew 24:32, in context: Matthew 24:3-51, Luke 21:29-30, in context: Luke 21:1-36, Mark 13:28, in context Mark 13, chapter.

    Hopefully this is helpful.

Verse 10 of this Psalm certainly gives us pause to think of an average lifespan; as the last years are indeed a struggle. If this refers to the last generation; we need to consider that 1948 may not have been the correct beginning for that day.

We notice where Christ says"..behold the fig trees and ALL the trees.." ( Luke 21:29) This would perhaps indicate economic prosperity for the surrounding nations which the Gulf states are already seeing ahead of them with agreements with Israel. It would seem for Israel to be attacked when they live securely and with unwalled villages in the Ezekiel 38 war; first the events of Psalm 83 would expand Israel's borders and eliminate the constant conflicts with the Palestinians and other nearby surrounding countries. Then; it would be likely the Daniel 27 covenant would have a league with countries such as Iran; Turkey; Syria and perhaps others in N. Africa and make it seem that Israel's issues are over. Just another perspective here. In any event; this psalm tells us that we are to "number our days." (v.12). Life is as a fleeting shadow; there is truly little time before night comes; and no man can work ( John 9:4). The millennium seems a clear concept as well here from v. 4; with the last day of rest for the whole world bringing the world in a way back to the way it was on the last day of the Creation; a sort of rest for the whole creation that has been travailing to this point.( Romans 8:22 etal).

The Lord expects us to be aware of things happening..Not be asleep spiritually.

Genesis 1:14 - And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: Matthew 16:3

And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

    Matthew 24:24

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

    Mark 16:20

And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.

    Luke 21:25

    And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

    John 4:48

Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

    Acts 1:7

And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

    1 Thessalonians 5:1

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

2 Timothy 4:2-4 - Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

Be watchful, looking up. Keep a ear out for 3rd Temple building in Israel; completion.
