I read and study the KJV, and I have read parts of other Bibles, Michaelswiger gave good information on what manuscripts were used, and if we study the history of the Bible other things and texts like the Bishop Bible were also considered. Giannis and S Spencer have also given good responses on the Greek words. I trust the KJV as the word of God and what He means for us to understand is there, but we must trust the Holy Spirit will guide us.
Aion means life span, age, or epoch, it is the source of our English words age and eon. It describes any length of clearly defined time, whether one person's life or some era of certain renown. As a general point of reference, this word may also apply to the vast span of history: the ages, the times of old.
I agree, with the word's age and world for English-speaking people our understanding can be different. The Greek word aion was translated in the KJV 37 times as world, sometimes world works, and sometimes age would be a better choice, I can send you the verses if you want to study them. Like Matt. 24:3 with the context and what the disciples knew at that time and what Jesus just told them about the temple the word world insinuates they are asking Jesus about His second coming.
If we compare Matt. 24:3 with Mark 13:4 and Luke 21:7 what is written in Matthew with them still thinking Jesus was going to set up the kingdom instead of the end of the world, the end of the age would fit better. The context of the chapter and comparing what is written in each gospel about the same thing helps me.
All translations or transliterations are not perfect, but God is and what He wants us to know He will show us through the Spirit of truth. Take Matt. 28:19, the commission, if we compare it to Mark 16:15Luke 24:47, and what we read in the rest of the New Testament what do we see?
Transfiguration of Jesus at the mount throws up light beyond the glorious body, a building of God eternal in heavens. The disciples going to Emmaus would not have recognized the risen Jesus but they did and it had to do with the word. " Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?"( Luke 24:31-32). When Jesus opened their eyes they did know it was he indeed.
Then we have the mount itself to consider. "And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them."(v.2). As with the Sermon on the mount we have the high mountain which is the testimony of God and Jesus as the rock cut not with hands, signifying we are looking at the Word become flesh.
Mark mentions Moses and Elias " and they were talking with Jesus."(v.24). When Jesus explained the word of God to Cleopas and his companion, "And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself." ( Luke 24:27) Luke elsewhere gives an additional insight to the transfiguration."And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:/Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem." Moses and Elias and Jesus are the three in glory in that specific moment of transfiguration while the three disciples, Peter James and John were in their physical bodies. In short, the Transfiguration is clear illustration of two worlds of the Spirit and of the flesh and blood operating simultaneously. The word concerning him sets prophets serving outside the timescale as we know the term. For this reason Jesus speaks of Elias,"But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him." (v.13) The ministry of Elias and Moses were as a double Jesus Christ
Vs 5 The plan of God, predetermined glory, Jesus knew the Scriptures. All that was to happen to Him and the glory He would receive after He suffered on the cross had already been spoken by the prophets in the past tense as though they had already happened.
As Jesus was on the road to Emmaus in Luke 24:25-26, He talks about them not believing what the prophets had written about what was to happen to Jesus. The first man to be raised from the dead in a glorified body and God placed Him on His right hand on the throne a man, not a god.
Jesus was a man who was tempted like us and fulfilled all His Father asked Him we see hundreds of prophecies Jesus fulfilled and the man Jesus did it without one sin. Only a man could undo what the first man did. God could not do that because He cannot sin or die. The law was made for man and the curse of sin was on man, not God.
In Verses 20-22, Jesus had not yet been crucified and the glory the Father had given Him Jesus has given it to us today "but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;" This glory we will receive when Jesus returns and we are resurrected in our glorified bodies, we have it now, but it will not be manifest until Jesus returns.
If Jesus was a co-equal God in the three-person God, how could He be given anything He would already have it? Malachi 3:6 says God does not change so God cannot change, Numbers 23:19Isaiah 46:10Psalm 33:11Acts 17:26 The glory Jesus was asking for, He would receive when He resurrected.
The Spirit could not be given because Jesus had not been glorified (resurrected) John 7:39 Things were hidden from the disciples until Jesus was glorified (resurrected) John 12:16.
2 Timothy 1:9-10 It was given before creation so, John 17:24 we will be where He is when we are resurrected, Jesus was given glory with the Father before all creation in God's mind and plan. Ephesians 1:4
I hope this makes sense I am not the best at this.
My Sabbath is everyday. My Jesus is no longer here in the flesh as we know no man after the flesh 2nd Cor 5:16-17.
2nd Cor 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
old things are passed away, Sabbath day old thing.
Rev 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
Jesus had to be born again as he died and was burred. What came out of the grave was not the same thing that went into the grave. Jesus was now a dead man walking full of holes and no blood. Can you live with no blood? Nope, Jesus was eating and talking because of the sprit of God his Father in him a new creature.
Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.
The bible says flesh and blood can not enter the kingdom of heaven 1st Cor 15:50. Jesus was now a new creation eating, talking and breathing and yet he had no blood. A born again Jesus this time of the spirit and no longer of Mary.
Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
[11] But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Hebrews 13:20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ...
1 Corinthians 13:12 states: For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. This relates to our perception of Christ; but also of course in glory we will see other saints in their eternal bodies as well for the first time. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says: But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
For now we do get glimpses; should we take the time to discern them of the Holy Spirit uniquely working in each true saint of God.
In physical appearance we still may look the same at least to the world to our early life when we were still in the world. Our identity is in Christ if indeed we are saved; and we are being transformed by the renewing of our minds ( Romans 12:2). Glorification will give us bodies it would seem like Christ when He could go through walls or doors ( John 20:19); we will be able to eat and drink ( Rev. 19:9; compare with Luke 24:42-43; and Mark 14:25). We will also rule and reign with Christ after returning with Him at Armageddon ( Rev. 19:14; Rev. 2:26-27).
Having no more suffering as promised in Revelation 21:4 and no more death certainly is an encouraging throught. I would submit that understanding the reasons for all of our earthly struggles may be even more poignant than understanding the suffering itself. We can take heart that Christ has His church as a reward; and we also can rejoice (or should) in one another and the time on earth invested in the Body of Christ as well as helping to fulfill the Great Commission. Again; it is rewards that are the variable that we are to strive for as seen in 1 Cor. 9:24-27. I am convinved many who receieve great rewards are relatively unknown at present praying in their closet; giving secretly to missions and serving under the radar. God sees the heart (see Heb. 4:12).
Just a few things, I am sorry you feel you have been lied to, there are different interpretations out there. If we study Matt. 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 together it helps.
I have found when studying the Bible, we should not start with a preconceived idea, it is easy to see Scriptures that fit a picture we have painted in our mind rather than letting the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit reveal the true meaning.
First, Jesus's death and resurrection were hidden from them, Luke 18:31-34. Even after he was crucified, they were distraught and did not understand the fact that he was killed. John 16:16-20 and we have Luke 24:4-6. Not knowing Jesus was going to die would they be asking Jesus about His second coming?
Is all of Matthew 24 about the end time, many combined it with other prophecies to create a picture of the end time. Some of it is obviously about Jesus's second coming but much of it was to prepare them for what they were to endure up to the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple. False prophets we see there were many before 70 AD, Acts 21:36-38Acts 8:9 and others. If we look at history there were wars, earthquakes, and famine, Acts 7:11 and Acts 11:28.
Many put Matt. 24:15 and Mark 13:14 at the end time with an antichrist, should we not consider what Luke wrote about the same thing, Luke 21:20 that history has recorded?
One other thing why would Jesus say to pray their flee would not be on a Sabbath day? Today would not be a problem with the transportation we have. Back then the gates of Jerusalem would be locked and would be hard to get out and it would take days to get clear, with a pace of 2.5 mph.
I am with you, we sleep in the grave until resurrection the first of those who are chosen and faithful, Rev. 17:14 at Jesus's second coming and the second, the rest of the dead at the white throne judgment/the sheep and the goats and those whose names are not in the book of life is cast into the lake of fire, Rev. 20:15.
As I quoted in my prior post,JESUS shewed unto His disciples His HANDS and His FEET- Luke 24:40.
You think that "Scripture does not give us that", but remember that our GOD said to the Serpent-> GEnesis 3:13-15 combined with Job 13:27:
13And the Lord GOD said unto the woman,What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said,The serpent beguiled me,and I did eat(i.e.the woman believed in the interpretation of the Word of GOD by the man of sin,son of perdition, called Serpent in Genesis.Today, i.e.in this time of Apocalypse,he is called red Dragon- Revelation 12).
14And the Lord GOD said unto the serpent,Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed...and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: (man was made of the dust",so once man fell deceived by the woman deceived by the man of sin,and still is until this current time, who is the son of perdition,in the beginning called Serpent.
In fact, all mankind was made/produced into the belly of the Serpent, EXCEPT JESUS,of course,my oldest brother, the firstborn among many brethren- Romans 8:29.By the way, GOD has a lot and countless sons, but there are two who are lawful GOD's sons, not by adoption-JESUS and the Comfort, the Paraclete, the Ancient of days.
15And I-GOD- will put enmity between thee and the woman(now the Church-the body of Christ-,and between thy seed(sons of Devil) and her seed(sons of GOD, true believers);it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel.
Remember,JESUS said- Luke 20:35-36:
35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world(the next world-the millennial GOD's Kingdom- Revelation 11:15-18),and the resurrection from the dead(dead? Colossians 3:3-7.Take a look), neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
36 Neither can they die any more:for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God,being the children of the resurrection ( Colossians 3:3-7 combined with 1Thessalonians 4:17 and 1Corinthians 15:51-55).
JESUS was nailed exactly in the center of His hands on the lines that form the figure of an M. And was also nailed in each foot , nailed close to the heel, in the calcaneus region.
Luke 24:36-43
36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and SUPPOSED that they HAD SEEN A SPIRIT.
38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for A SPIRIT HATH NOT FLESH AND BONES as ye see me have.
40 And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them His HANDS and his FEET.
41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
43 And he took it, and did eat before them.
In fact GOD allowed His Son JESUS to be taken to the slaughter like a sheep, but the way He would be killed was not chosen by GOD the Father, but by the Devil, that is the old Serpent, and Satan;and the object that was chosen by the Devil was the satanic CROSS for killing JESUS,for torturing Him,and for humiliation, and mockery, and for the most cruel suffering, until death.JESUS already knew the satanic plan of the Devil- Matthew 26:2-Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.
To take up the cross is to suffer for the love of JESUS,to suffer for the preaching of His Gospel, suffering to testify of His Word in the Devil's world,to suffer for the preaching of His teachings within the Devils's world,to suffer testifying of the redeeming work of JESUS for the corrupt world of Devil, whose work cost his own life by dying on the man-made cross, Devil's cross.Devil's cross that many have on their avatar, the satanic cross that devilish Catholicism kisses and adores, understand? CROSS IS CURSE.
Presence of God is applied to the face so while the Spirit of God moved upon the waters it created a context so God can interface with us and lead us by the light of his word.
"The light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ' throws off heat and the two disciple felt it when the risen Christ 'expounded to them from the word'. "And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?( Luke 24:32)"
Presence of God is the word that went forth before the worlds began.(Is.55:11;2 Co.4:6)
Sometimes one mistakes the person of Jesus, his humanity for the face as in this case. Here antipathy of the Samaritans for his Jewishness came in the way.
"And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem."( Luke 9:51-53) They were taking cues from the presence of God and not the person of Jesus who wanted to be helped along the way.
Jesus set me free from the bar business and I got baptized in Jesus name Acts 2:38,39
Luke 24:47,48 Mark 16:16,17 I received the Holy Ghost Acts 5:32Acts 2:4. 1 Corinthians 14: 2,22,39
John 3:1-6Acts 19:1-6. 1 Peter 3:21Proverbs 11:30. John 21:15 it is essential for Salvation to be baptized in Jesus name Acts 4:12 and be filled with His Holy Ghost power speaking in a brand new tongue Acts 2:4 , and live a holy life loving Jesus and loving others !
Jesus being the corner stone and the Apostles being the foundation signifies the beginning of a groundbreaking plan to erect a building and that building is the Church.
As I mentioned previously, the commission to carry the Gospel to the world came right after the resurrection, as shown in the Gospels " Luke 24:42-49 and Matthew 28:19-20."
I agree with you that the scripture says to the Jews first, and then the Gentiles,
However, I would suggest that the Gospel was preached to them before the cross as well as Abraham.
Hebrews 3:17-19 - Hebrews 4:1-6.
"But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. FOR UNTO US WAS THE GOSPEL PREACHED, AS WELL AS UNTO THEM: BUT THE WORD PREACHED DID NOT PROFIT THEM, NOT BEING MIXED WITH FAITH IN THEM THAT HEARD IT.
For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, AND THEY TO WHOM IT WAS FIRST PREACHED ENTERED NOT IN BECAUSE OF UNBELIEF:
Also;
And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, PREACHED BEFORE THE GOSPEL UNTO ABRAHAM, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. Galatians 3:8.
I agree with most of all you have written. My understanding is at the crucifixion and when the veil was rent from top to bottom was the sign of the fulfillment of the old with the final sacrifice, the ordinances were nailed to the cross, and the new covenant was made, but it was not yet given to the Gentiles. To me, it is clear it was after Stephen's death and the persecution and history puts that right at 3.5 years after the crucifixion.
In Acts 8:57 the high priest and the other rulers made their final rejection of Jesus with this action they "stopped their ears and ran upon him with one accord" That is my understanding when the branch was broken off. In Luke 24:42-48 the end says, "beginning at Jerusalem" That was what they were doing, to the Jew first.
Right after this in Acts 9 Paul's conversion, In Acts 10 Peter's vision and his preaching to the Gentiles, and in Acts 11 when the apostles and brethren heard that Peter preached the word of God to the Gentiles, they were mad and upset with him. They should have understood that was what they were supposed to do but they did not, they were mad, not happy.
I know in scripture they were told they would spread the gospel to the Gentiles and the world, but my understanding of scripture is it was like when they were told He would be killed and rise from the dead, this was also hidden until the given time that Prophecy would be fulfilled, and the mystery revealed.
Romans 16:25-26 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
You stated, "the apostles had not been told the Gospel will also be given to the Gentiles, the time had not come. There were another 3.5 years after Jesus's ministry before the apostles were told the gospel of Christ will be given to the Greeks/Gentiles.
I agree with Gigi, The Apostles were told to go out to preach the gospel to the whole world and I believe the old economy "if that's the correct term to use" ended at the crucifixion when the veil was rent from top to bottom.
The timing of the beginning and ending of what God ordained in the old and in the new covenant was totally of God, "Not according to man's response to it"
The OT scripture said salvation would go out to the Gentiles by the seed which shall come. some expected it in the New Testament as seen in Luke 2:30-32. For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, which thou hast prepared before the face of all people. A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
Also.
Jesus said in John 2:19-22 he would tare the temple down and build it again in 3 days.
That was the end of temporary temple that only served as a shadow of what was to come. Hebrews 9:6-11.
When he rose from the grave, he went to the disciples and see here what he said in Luke 24:42-48.
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
And ye are witnesses of these things!
Concerning the veil being rent from top to bottom.
Here is what was accomplished at the death and resurrection of our Lord.
Here in Hebrews 6:17-20 we see Jesus as our "forerunner" and High Priest.
We have been once and for all cleansed and can now enter therein with a clear conscience. See Hebrews 9:8-26.
Also.
Hebrews 10:8-22.
The veil being rent signifies the end of the old covenant and the resurrection ushered in the new covenant.
The commission came right afterwards. Luke 24:42-49. and Matthew 28:19-20.
Thanks, I agree they were told that but we see it was after Stephen's death and the priests along with Saul/Paul put in prison, beat, killed, and drove out the believers in Jesus, the apostles stayed in Jerusalem. The ones Philip shared the word within Samaria must have been Jewish because the apostles did not have a problem with it because Peter and John went and prayed for them to receive the Holy Ghost, Acts 8:14-17
When Peter had his dream, it was a clear vision that God showed him the time had come for the gospel to go to the Gentiles, Acts 10. But when he told the apostles and brethren when he went to Cornelius the centurion and preached to the Gentiles, they had a big problem with it and they rebuked Peter for doing this, Acts 11, and in Acts 11:19 the ones who were persecuted and driven out were preaching the word to the Jews only.
To me, it looks the same as when Jesus told them how He was going to die and be resurrected but it was hidden from them, Luke 9:45, and we see they were devastated after He was crucified and did not believe He rose from the dead, Luke 24:10-11. It was God's perfect timing when this would happen, fulfilling prophecy and a promise.
The questions I posted and the scripture after them were in my understanding were answering the questions, sorry if that did not make sense or if they do not answer them for you.
Was Jesus baptized with the Spirit during His water baptism or before? It was not before it was after Jesus was water baptized and come up from the water He was then anointed with the Holy Spirit.
Luke 4:1 Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit and the Spirit led, meaning to lead, bring, carry so the Spirit led or carried Jesus to the wilderness. It may be similar to when Philip was whisk away, Acts 8:39
John 3:34 "for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him" Measure means limited so Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit with no limits like what we see in 1 Cor. 12 the diversities of gifts no one received them all, with Jesus there was no limit to the power of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:32-33 My understanding is this part of Peter's explanation of what people were seeing. Jesus made the promise that when He went back to the Father He would ask the Father to send the Holy Ghost/Spirit to them, Luke 24:49John 14:26Acts 1:4-8. They were seeing God's answer to Jesus's request to send the Holy Ghost/Spirit. I hope that makes sense.
The Father could not send the Holy Ghost/Spirit until Jesus was glorified John 7:39 and that was after He was resurrected, Jesus did not need the Holy Ghost/Spirit after He received His glorified body. When the Holy Ghost/Spirit left Jesus and went back to God in heaven if it was at Jesus's death or when, I do not know.
I hope this all made sense thank you for your reply.
Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
Luke 24:45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures
John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Psalms 78:2 I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:
Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Galatians 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
2 Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
Revelation 22:18,19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
These are just a sampling of the many verses that speak about the scriptures, the Bible, the Word of God. They should be examined both in their immediate context and the context of the entire Bible if we are to come to Truth regarding the true nature of the Bible.
Hello everyone, Had an interesting question asked at our men's Bible group. " Our we sinners because we sin, or do we sin because where're sinners". Would like to hear your comments based from the Bible . Thank you
MountHoreb Response to Leoj:
When reading the bible, A Sinner is someone who has a leaning or urge to go against the will of Jehovah God ( Psalm 83:18)
God Saids one thing; a Sinner is inclined to go the other way. we have an example at Genesis 3
Point: Romans 5:12-15
There is Hope: John 3:16,17; 1 Timothy 1:8-10; 2 Timothy 3:16,17; John 17:3
Jehovah ( psalm 83:18) is not looking for perfection. he is like a father and we are like his Children prone to mistakes.
our father is looking for us to tell him the truth, to be humble, to cry to him and repent especially if it's something that
is to difficult to handle on our own. as sinners we need the spirit of God in order to have self-control in all things. This is why Jesus said what he said at Matthew 6:9-12; 1 Peter 5:6-11
Dear "John ray" Don't think about the text. In fact, we all should be careful and not say too much.
We are comforted by Jesus Christ in all things. You are loved by the Lord, for I am constantly reminded of you in my prayers.
Remember that you are valuable, it is easy to forget it. At least when we are out among non-believers. We can even be harmed by it. But never to death. My advice is that you take up on u the full armor of God on a daily basis. Ephesians 6 chapter. Never be discouraged, many depend on you.
God cares for you, He wants you to see it. And that you know it. We pray, I love u in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah God is good always.
When they were water baptised it was just a sign that there was a greater baptism coming...which is baptism of the H.G...thats y Jesus told them if i wash thee not you will have no part with me....He tells his own disciples that had been water baptised if i wash thee not you will have no with me...The water that i shall give them shall be a well of water springing up unto everlasting life...Thats H.G. BAPTISM...The only baptism of PROMISE....Water baptism was neva refered to as the baptism of Promise.... Luke 24:49 Jesus said behold i send the Promise of my father upon you...Which is the baptism of PROMISE...The seed of Promise was the living word that multiplies Christ in us that hears his voice...Today if you will hear his voice harden not you hearts...That was the great Promise that God wanted to multiply Christ in humanity...Making humaniity perfect...Be ye perfect as your father in heaven is perfect...Thats y we must be bornagain of an incorruptible SEED...The reason we refer to the H.G. as the Promise is b/c the H.G.is an exact spiritual REPLICATED being as Jesus was in the flesh....A granson just like Jacob was the granson in the heavenly trinity....the H.G....There cannot be an Israel of Gd without a Granson....The 3 rd person was Jacob in the ABRAHAMIC TRINITY...And it was his name that was changed to Israel....Thus the H.G.the 3 rd person is the Israel of God that heavenly Jacob....Which will result in an Israel of God...ok lemme go....Read Isaiah 49 kjv....Another Jacob is coming which is the H.G....
John 10:18 shows us that Christ had the power to give up and take life back again. Starting at the statement at His death "it is finished" ( John 19:30) the atonement was complete at the same moment. The comment from the fellow prisoner (the one who repented) at the cross recieved a response just prior to that event where Christ assured him "today you shall be with me in paradise" ( Luke 23:43). This shows that sheol which at the time was the abode of all the dead (see state of Lazarus vs the rich man in the parable of Luke 16:19-31). Jesus came to set the captives free ( Ephesians 4:7-10) also alluded to in several other passages that could also refer to those captive in sin still on earth. He preached to the spirits in prison ( 1 Peter 3:19) which were either the demons or Nephilim and their offspring which were in the abyss before their time; or all the lost. Those who were His own were set free; their souls went to heaven and many appeared after His Resurrection ( Matt. 27:52-53). Thus; after this time only wicked in the torment part of hell still exist down there.
Christ; of course was the "first of the firstfruits" ( 1 Cor. 15:20). There will be the following afterwards; those who came out of their graves at that time as I stated above; then those at His appearing (i.e. Rapture); then those at His coming (2nd Coming). The firstfruits continue until the 144,000 which is a sort of gleaning of Israel ahead of the main harvest the countless multitude coming out of the Great Tribulation. ( Rev. 7:9).
What is most sobering is that Christ still bears marks on His body ( Luke 24:39); apparently the only one who is resurrected with such scars reminding us of his earthly suffering and existance. Hence; God did not allow His holy one to remain in sheol or see decay ( Psalm 16:10). He was the perfect; unblemished Lamb of God who we shall forever worship and adore.
Dear God the Father in Heaven, through Your Son, Jesus Christ, and the Kingdom of the Holy Spirit. You who have created all things, great and small out of living beings. Man also is created in Your image. We thank You for the life You have given us, we also thank You for all that we have. Everything we have we received from Your blessing Lord Jesus. Thank you that it is entirely up to You to hand out the Holy Spirit. Bless Pierre1939 Jesus with Your revelation and spirit of knowledge. That You Lord give Your bread to all who seek Him. And in all things receive a righteous judgment. You know all the hearts of ppl Lord and know if there is good and bad, Amen.
It says somewhere Pierre1939 that in the last days the Spirit of the Lord will be distributed throughout the earth. And young men shall vision and old shall dream. So it is and so it will be as God has decreed. The angle you mention here is absolutely right. We've had it that way for 2023 years at least. Unless the calendar is messed with. Think so big that we SHALL have the same Holy Spirit on board. Like that shall we recognize the Lord. In Luke 24:28-31 we see that eyes of The disciples opened. So it is with us, too. Today, tribulations and struggles can veil our eyes. But suddenly, when the battle is over, the veil pulls away and we can see once again all that is around us. Not only that, but in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, He's still fighting the spiritual battle, I've heard that twice in my life. Also seen in my spirit. It's like the sound of lots of water and a storm like no other.
We call it spirit battles. Then the Lord fights for ppl lives. In our lives after He has saved us. Are we in this fight. Therefore, we also know evil and what it entails. Therefore, the Lord allows us to know of good. That we may know that He is with us always, even to the end of the world. Thank you for what you share, have a blessed Easter and never tire of lifting our sword against the powers who stand against us.
No you have to repent of your sins to be born again. John3:3 1Peter1:23 Romans6:6 Baptism is important but if you don't you want miss heaven. The thief on the cross did not have time to be baptized. Luke 24:42-47 All christians should be baptized and want to follow every example Jesus left us.
Hello Free & Gi Gi....Gbu....But everything i have written is Biblical.... Gen. 22:17 kjv...It all goes back to the Promise that Christ wd be multiplied as the stars of heaven...Thats y the sower has to go forth and sow his precious seed in man's hearts...And God Almighty SWORE BY HIS VERY SELF when he made this Promise of multipling Christ seed essentially multipling very God...Thats y Our Lord says to whom the Word came ( his good seed ) it made them Gods and the scripture cannot be broken.... Luke 24:49...Thats y they referred to the H.G. as the Promise....A baby Christ ....He is the multiplication of very God as God is spirit that has to be born in us from Jesus's good seed the living word....But Jesus said that satan is the father of the Tares b/c he sows the Tares....Thus Christ is the father of the wheat b/c Jesus is the one who sows the wheat Thus the Children of the Kingdom....Remember Jesus said the good seed are the Children of the Kingdom.
......But here is what happens satan comes and sows another seed in our heart....Then we are involved in war in heaven...Violence in heaven....The good seed the wheat is a baby Christ ...But the Tare becomes another satan..But Jesus said to let them grow together till the Harvest....Whosoever receives one such Child in my name receves me....The reason i say the wheat is a baby Christ is b/c the sower of that good seed is CHRIST THE BRIDEGROOM.....They don't call Jesus the bridegroom for nothin....God Almighty wants Jesus seed so the great promise of multiplication of Gods will happen....Children that cannot lie so he was their savior / father... Isaiah 63:8...Thus an ISRAEL of God....that are gonna be as the stars of heaven....Be ye perfect as your father in heaven is perfect...But this war is raging with in us ...Thus the wheat the baby Christ is in prison spiritually to the TARES....Thats y Paul was saying when i wd do good evil is present with me....I cannot do what i want to do O wretched man that i am. Alex GBU
Yes we are assigned to wrath...As Jesus said every sinner will have his part in the lake of fire....Which is his baptism of the H.G. and FIRE....The only way his vengence ( his wrath ) can be satisfied is by the lake of fire....His wrath is his love whom the lord loveth he chastens.... Hebrews 12 :8...If ye be without chastisement then are ye bastards and not sons....But we cannot tell ppl we are not assigned to wrath....When ye say things like that you are in essence saying we don't need his baptism of the H.G. AND FIRE...Nor his lake of fire....Jesus said every sinner MUST have his part in the lake of FIRE....Which is his baptism of the H.G. and fire.....Then and only then are we made free from his wrath....YA GOT TO RIGHTY DIVIDE THE WORD OF GOD
Whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire...Our names are written in the book of life when we are baptised with the H.G. and fire...That New BIRTH IS WHEN His wrath is satisfied when we are washed in his blood... That NEW Covenant in his blood is the book of life....Simply b/c he wrote this book with his own blood....
Behold i send the Promise of my father upon you... Luke 24:49...Which was baptism of the H.G. AND FIRE.....The only thing that satisfies his wrath....We cannot do away with his baptism of the H.G. and fire.....Thats y he is saying every sinner has to have his part in the lake of fire....As our God is a consuming fire that has to consume our old evil adamic nature....
Jesus is a man of war...there is vengence in his heart... Psalms 55:21....Thus his wrath....His words were softer then oil but war was in his heart and his words were smother then butter but they were as drawn swords....Thus we see that there is war in his heart...Vengence ...thus wrath....But whom the lord loveth he chastens....Thus his wrath is his love for humanity...But if there was no wrath no, No chastisement then we wd be bastards and not sons... Hebrews 12:10....
I understand you are busy with work and your concerns about your brother, so not to rush, not on Daniel, but just a few things to consider about Matthew 24. My understanding of Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 is twofold, for then, and our future.
The reason is, history tells us the believers in Jesus got out and went to Pella across the Jordan river before the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD. And on the sabbath, today would not matter but then the gates would be locked, and it would be hard to leave.
Matt. 24:3, in Mark, we see it was Peter, James, John, and Andrew that ask Jesus in private. Jesus had just told them the temple would be destroyed and Matthew records "what sign of thy coming and the end of the world." It is easy to jump to they were talking about Jesus' second coming, but.
Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection were hidden from them until all was done. Luke 9:44-45Luke 18:31-34 and after they did not believe He resurrected. Mark 20:9-11Luke 24:6-8, John 20:9. Even right before He ascended, they were expecting Jesus to set up the kingdom then, Acts 1:6. So why in Matthew 24:3 would we interpret it as if they were asking Jesus about His second coming?
I will send you by this weekend what I have studied on the six things determined in Daniel 9:24 if I can shorten it enough, I do not like to send long posts. If you don't want me to post it let me know.
Acts 11:2 Peter, was come up to Jerusalem._._. Acts 11:13, the man in Joppa, sent men to call for Peter, it doesn't seem to mention the name of the man, nor the other men Peter ministered to. Acts 11:17, Peter talking explained the Gentile was also given the Holy Spirit & Salvation, not just Jewish people. Galatians 3:28, Romans 1:16,
Luke 24, Peter was one of the 1st witnesses to see the empty
tomb. Luke 24:12, John 21, Jesus meets with Peter after resurrection again & tells him If you love Me feed My lambs.
Acts 2, shows Peter speak boldly in front of thousands Acts 2:14-47,
Hope you don't mind.
Take Matt. 28:19, the commission, if we compare it to Mark 16:15 Luke 24:47, and what we read in the rest of the New Testament what do we see?
God bless,

Part two
Vs 5 The plan of God, predetermined glory, Jesus knew the Scriptures.
Malachi 3:6 says God does not change so God cannot change, Numbers 23:19 Isaiah 46:10 Psalm 33:11 Acts 17:26 The glory Jesus was asking for, He would receive when He resurrected.

False prophets we see there were many before 70 AD, Acts 21:36-38 Acts 8:9 and others.
God bless,
RLW
Christ is TRUTH
If you don't believe that the OLD TIME ( 2 Peter 1:21) is speaking of the Old Testament prophets then Luke 24:45 is FOR YOU, not me..
God Bless you, as the spirit of truth (Holy Ghost) destroyers you carnal mind.
It's a pleasure to hear from you,brother.
Luke 24:47,48 Mark 16:16,17 I received the Holy Ghost Acts 5:32 Acts 2:4. 1 Corinthians 14: 2,22,39

Part 2.
The Foundation and Corner stone.
Also;
And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, PREACHED BEFORE THE GOSPEL UNTO ABRAHAM, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. Galatians 3:8.
More about this blindness in part 2.
God bless and have a good day.
RLW

God bless.
I hope this makes sense.
God bless.

My understanding
Jesus made the promise that when He went back to the Father He would ask the Father to send the Holy Ghost/Spirit to them, Luke 24:49 John 14:26 Acts 1:4-8.
God bless,

When we die do we automatically get to go to heaven or do we have to wait until the resurrection?
MountHoreb Reply: I personally can't recall at the moment Jesus giving any details
regarding The Apostles quick resurrection.
But We do have evidence of Jesus Resurrection Luke 24:46. when he died he was on the earth as an
invisible spirit Acts 1:3. Jesus as an invisible spirit ( john 4:24) has the ability to materialize into a human
Luke 24:3,5; Acts 1:9-11 . All angels Can transform themselves Luke 24:4; Luke 24:36
We also have an example of Apostle Stephen who was stoned by the infuriated High Priest.
he knew it meant his death for speaking the truth. notice what he said at Acts 7:54-60;
We have proof that Stephen appealed (prayed) to Jesus in Heaven Acts 7:59.
To no disappointment: Jehovah ( Psalm 83:18) Only selected or Chosen a few
to go to heaven according to Revelation 14:1,3. notice the scripture said "from Earth" (redeemed or taken from)
Not all are picked as presidents only one is. and there are those selected under him. Revelation 20:4,6
HOPE THE SCRIPTURES ANSWERED YOUR QUESTION: Psalm 37
Point: Luke 24:45-48; Romans 7:7-25
Hope these scriptures help. Thanks
Luke 24:20-22
Stay strong i love u in Christ look in 1 John 1:5 and Luke 24:28-31
1 Corintians 15:55-57
Jesus light is in all of us who belive in Him.
Agape; Happy Resurrection Sunday.

Thank you for what you share, have a blessed Easter and never tire of lifting our sword against the powers who stand against us.
......But here is what happens satan comes and sows another seed in our heart....Then we are involved in war in heaven...Violence in heaven....The good seed the wheat is a baby Christ ...But the Tare becomes another satan..But Jesus said to let them grow together till the Harvest....Whosoever receives one such Child in my name receves me....The reason i say the wheat is a baby Christ is b/c the sower of that good seed is CHRIST THE BRIDEGROOM.....They don't call Jesus the bridegroom for nothin....God Almighty wants Jesus seed so the great promise of multiplication of Gods will happen....Children that cannot lie so he was their savior / father... Alex GBU
Luke 9:44-45 Luke 18:31-34 and after they did not believe He resurrected. Mark 20:9-11 Luke 24:6-8, John 20:9.
God bless,

Acts 2, shows Peter speak boldly in front of thousands Acts 2:14-47,
Hopefully these are helpful
