"Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, AND ALL THINGS that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED". Jesus said in Luke 24:44, "...that ALL THINGS must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, concerning me". All that is left to be accomplished, is His Triumphant Return on that day.

The Son of man is our LORD Jesus Christ, when he dwelt on earth. Son of man is mentioned 196 times in the pure KJV bible. Here are a couple of scriptures to read. Luke 22:69 - Luke 24:7

"Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,..but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high." The Apostles had been with Jesus Himself for three and a half years; they had been eye-witnesses of His ministry, His sufferings, and now His resurrection. He just now opened their understanding and commands them to WAIT FOR THE POWER!

Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. John 1:34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God. John 1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! Matthew 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Disciple: Jesus already fulfilled the law. He died and arose again from the dead. You are out of context. Luke 24:44] And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

God is in Genesis 1, Lord God is in Genesis 2. God is love and does not plot enmity. Lords of the land, kings= aggressors plot enmity. God did not create evil, man created it, a Lord calling himself God created it. God sent Jesus to teach us that. Moses blessed? The Lord was displeased with Moses: “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, Numbers 2

Genesis 3:15 "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." Exodus 17:6 "Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel."

The Jews hated Jesus being labeled their King. The Jews are looking for a secular KING to lead them to victory in the end of days. That is the prophecy about their messiah. They never described Jesus. Jesus was not sent to earth to rule Israel as a king. They offered him that. Jesus came to save the lost lambs of Israel, those that believe peace is achieved by war and blood sacrifice cleanses sin.

No where in the Torah is a Savior mentioned that will die and be raised in 3 days. Their Christ is secular. Their belief : "mashiach" literally means "the anointed one," and refers to the ancient practice of anointing kings with oil when they took the throne. The mashiach is the one who will be anointed as king in the End of Days. V46 is the Christian scripture that has been written.

V.53 - As I just now read this v., and noticed the word "temple" and knew this temple was in Jerusalem, and that the Apostles and disciples (120) tarries there for10 days; it occurred to me quite awhile ago while scanning the internet on Jerusalem historical places, that I saw a pic of the 'cenacle' that has been rebuilt where this 'tarrying' happened. cont.

Peter got it exactly right with Acts2:38, Peter again, Acts 4:10-12; 10:1-6.

Lk. 24:47 is a witness to Matt. 28:19 - " ... preached in His NAME; Acts2:38; 4:12. These are all witnesses of the NAME Jesus. Jesus IS the Father in creation, the Son in redemption, the Holy Ghost in regeneration. These are titles, not 'names'; JESUS is the name (and I quote someone else on here - Jesus said so). Peter DID what Jesus said when he preached Acts2:38.

The prediction of Christ death and resurrection is joinedwith the essence of man`s responds repentance and the resulting benefits forgiveness Acts 5:31:13:47 Him hath God exalted with His right hand to be a Prince and a savior for to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins and a light of the gentiles that thou should be for a salvation unto the ends of the eart.

'Jesus' is all through the O.T. The whole of the O.T. is all about Jesus. Luke 24:44, Jn. 20:28 - Thomas was a DEVOUT Jew. NO Jew will call anyone 'Lord' and 'God' except He is that. Deut.6:4 - Hear O Israel, the Lord your God is one Lord," (Shema). Nor did Jesus, being a DEVOUT Jew, rebuke Thomas. The name Jehovah translates to Jesus.

Vs. 47, 49 - These 2 vs. is exactly what happened 10 days after Jesus ascended; they tarried and prayed those 10 days and the spirit came on the breath of God (wind) and br'ot the Holy Ghost in tongues of fire. Then Peter opened the way of salvation with the keys of Acts 2:38 - repentance, baptism in Jesus name, filled with the Holy Ghost.

We must be baptized in water in the name of Jesus to be saved.😇 I know this because I was raised in a traditional religion that said all you have to do to be saved is believe. Sorry , I can believe I am a grasshopper but does that make me one . Amen

He is risen and He is coming back

and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Luke 24:47

"Why are ye troubled, and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?" the promised appearing of Jesus our Lord should keep our hearts in check and not trouble our hearts as believers in Jesus. Why think what will be tomorrow when it is already promised by a covenant keeping God who is alive with in the heart of His people...

He fulfilled the law of sacrifice because he was the perfect sacrifice. Till heaven and earth pass

V. 7, He IS risen from the dead.

Praise the name of the Lord !it will come a day when we shall see him in the air
or risen from the dead.

"Return oh! Lord Jesus!" 'CAN'T WAIT!!" But I Guess I will have to. It will be worth it. Amen.

Respons to LES M - - - Further more, according to the gospel of LUKE 24:36-53, you should read it until verse 53. Jesus's disciples were terrified because Jesus came to them. They've heard that Jesus was crucified to death but Jesus didn't die. Amazing.. Unless you want to say Jesus is lying in the Bible. Please read the gospel of LUKE 24:36-53.

LUKE 24:39 - "Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have."

LOVE THIS WORDS OF JESUS. JESUS IS NOT A SPIRIT AND DIDN'T DIE. WAITING FOR 2nd COMING OF JESUS.

The more we talk about Jesus or the more we mediate on the Word the more Jesus will reveal Himself to us. He will be in our midst. He will open our eyes to see spiritual things and He will open our understanding. Lets stay in the word until CHrist comes again.
