You may think you could have behave or responded better than him that is because you are not in his shoes and you can never fill them for the challenge that he is facing you can not handle that is why you did not face it in the first place

I thought that was a pretty powerful question Jesus asked there.. 46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Really why call on him or even call him Lord when you don 't do as he instructed! WOW! He has rules the bible is full of them and we are to live by all of them NOT just the ones we choose to live by. Sometimes it is hard to not do some of the things I use to do. But I bet it was hard for Jesus to Die on the cross too. He had even ask God in prayer to take that cup from him. So he didn 't want to be hung on that cross BUT it was Gods will for him to Die in public for everyone to know that He is Jesus Christ! So yes indeed I will turn away from temptations! I think burning in hell for eternity would be MUCH harder..You all be God blessed and stay prayer full.. Many time we have to Call LORD LORD to give us strength to turn away from temptations!

27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. 46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? 47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: 48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. 49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell and the ruin of that house was great. It is Jesus who said that.....Make a decision now.....God Bless

Verse 43 and 44, men are represented as trees and plants. Men of different nations are brought up with different laws, beliefs and loyalties. So people should not expect everyone on earth to think the same way. However righteousness is a concept all share together, truth is truth, what is fair for one should be fair for all equality. Thorns and brambles represent conflict and killing and the message is that what is good is not produced in that way. One can not force ones beliefs on others for all fall short of the Divine Mind of God. All need correction. Perhaps the word treasure is used in verse 45 because much of the world conflict is based in the desire of economic power. If a mans heart is focused on material wealth then evil takes over him and he does not care what happens to anyone else as long as he gets rich.

We need to accept Jesus words and we must do what he says. To conquer evil is to do good that pleasing the eyes of Jesus. Jesus loves us so much and he is faithful to his promises. Thanks for the blood of Jesus that shed for us as this is the symbol of his love and mercy to us. Be blessed and choose Jesus and invite the Holy Spirit to dwell in our life without God as a tree of life we will never become fruitful in everything we do. With Christ we can do everything. Jesus loves you and me be blessed.

A judge is someone that pronounces a sentence on a thing : or says that is the determination of the thing or person : to condemn a thing is to decree a judgment of wrong doing :brought low : to tear down : Forgive is to release that person from the hurt pain that they inflicted from yourself : they are still accountable to God for what they did But you have released yourself from being controlled by the thing from any unforgiveness in your heart. Sweet : Sweet freedom !!

Who can do this? He said to turn the other cheek, but it is not in our nature. It is very hard for us. He says, My yoke is easy... but wouldn 't you like to be able to be this kind of person? Would not the whole world be a better place? If you hate your life, don 't kill yourself... These are the very people who need to let Him help. So let Him help you. For this very reason you are able.

Malachi :3 Reminds us of the "IMPORTANCE " of giving, the purging, and purifying of the Son 's of Levi. Simple terms, to get them, "us, " on the right track. The benefits of obedient giving of tithe and offerings. Gen.14:20 Father of the faithful, friend of GOD, Abraham is our first example of tithing. Lev.27:30-32 Num. 18:26 Duet. 14:22 Neh.12:44 Prov.3:9 just a few other examples of giving. "We don 't give to gain... However, we will gain by giving...We can never out give GOD. LUKE 6:38

George J LaHood Jr, Since you 're studying meditating on Ephesians 4 and specifically are interested in "communication " and what comes "out of the mouth ", I urge you to check out James 3:13, Luke 6:45 and Proverbs 10:10 because these parts of Scripture speak directly to communication.
  • James on Luke 6:38 - 9 years ago
Does it mean when I put God's word in side me and now it is God that is within me I get more of God's word back in my life to give away to others?
  • Motdaugrnds on Matthew 12 - 9 years ago
Mathew 12 37 "...by thy words thou salt be justified and by thy words thou shalt be condemned... " Likewise, see James 3:13 "Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? Let him shew out of a good conversation... " and Luke 6:45 "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that wich is good...for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. " Also Pro. 10:10 "...With the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. " See Pro. 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of the tongue... " and James 3:10 "Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. " My understanding of all these is that a curse is more than just a 4-letter word. It can be an act that invokes harm to another or it can be an act of profanity, i.e. implying content of religious things th4ru speech or action. I encourage readers with prayer for understanding first to re-read what the world calls "The Lord 's Prayer " in this regard, referencing this prayer with Heb. 2:14-15 and Col. 1:13

Men speak well of you when you live your life as a men pleaser. Paul said if I be a pleaser of men, then I can not please God. This is the very nature of false prophets they can 't please him and neither can the people that follow them . Speaking what people want to hear instead of telling them what will save their souls. This is also the very nature of those who say it doesn 't make a difference in what you believe, but God never said that. It should be clearly evident to any bible scholar that the bible shows in each and every case that it does make a difference and there are consequences from following our own line of thinking. God said in Isaiah, "my thoughts are not your thoughts and neither are my ways yours. Unfortunately this is the reason why Jesus said in Matthews the gate to hell is wide and broad, and many if not most will be on it. Because strait and narrow is the way to heaven there be few that find it, not them as many say!
  • TOMASI TURAGAVA on Luke 6 - 9 years ago
They are statutes of the major constitution of the New Testament, the Law of the Spirit of Life constitution, birthed back on planet Earth when Jesus rose from the grave on the third day. Tose precepts are SPIRITUAL STATUTES LAWS that are now the governing order on planet Earth in this Spiritual dispensation period of TODAY !...yes so those Laws apply to us today ....not the Old Testament laws !
  • Lucy on Luke 6 - 9 years ago
We have to remember that Jesus prays for us. While we were yet sinners says the scripture Christ died for us. We are all in need of a Savior. When we forgive, it identifies us with Christ. Sometimes we have to pray to God to help us to forgive. I know this first hand because forgiveness doesn 't always seem to come naturally. Forgiveness breeds fruit unto everlasting life. The bible says that we all have to die to the flesh everyday . Glory be to God that we have the gift of repentance for our sins committed in the flesh

It is very difficult to pray for those that curse me and for those that despitefully use me. It can be done though Through pray and wanting to be free from the bondage that these things would put on me. I will not allow myself to step down to their level of doing things. I will go up. In a 5 story parking lot to be able to get out of there you have to go all the way up it to get out !!!! So it is with God My Lord is higher than the despisers and cursers. It does take time to get it done but if you have a willing heart you will stay with it till you do . And OH !!! The freedom and release. Blessed !!! Blessed !!!!
