Vivian, amen! For Jesus said in Luke 9:23, "And he said unto them, if anyman will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me". Glory be to God in the highest through our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Anyone who studies scripture and concludes that the Son of man and antichrist are the same is very disturbed or under demonic deception. I pray to my heavenly Father, in Christ Jesus, asking God to have mercy on your soul and to heal you and save YOU according to His will. Amen Matthew 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. Matthew 13:37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? Matthew 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. Matthew 26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. Luke 22:48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?

Verse 54, James and John were asking for war and death. Jesus rebuked them for they still would not embrace the Law of God, do not kill. They think killing for righteous cause is accepted by God. It is not. Their spirit should be peaceful without hate. The Son of man, Antichrist comes in the name of Peace to save his followers by participating in war and killing and hate.

Luke 9:49.This episode is written by luke, perhaps because he might have heard from some people speaking about a man not essentially a close follower of neither jesus nor his diciples but he was able to does miracles on the name of Jesus. John did not mention either his name nor where did he see that man.The essence of mention of this verse is simply to tell to the whole world, one need not be a close diciple of Jesus but even one complete believes in Jesus and trusts him,any body can make miracles and preach the word of truth.luke simply wanted to make it clear to the Jews that, christ no necessarly belongs to Jews alone but to the entire man kind. but any how, bible pandits,Theologians,Interpreters, scholars are not very clear about thia verse and always tries to evade the explanation of this verse.Like wise there are many more episodes are there in bible which are kept under dark and not explained properly.Bible need to be recasted entirely with a logical, rational outlook. The concept of this verse is the as per in Jesus words " The one who believe with out seeing,is better than the one who believe on seeing".In other words " believe blidly" thats what it amounts to.

Its a sad verse even the animals have homes but I hve no home, no territory to call my own, no place of shelter. These are fundamental needs of all living creatures but you must let go of them to follow my life- style.

Jesus admonishes us to go and teach the Kingdom of God as He taught Mt.4:23 Mt.6:33 says to seek first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness all things that we need shall be added unto us.

I believe it means trying to love the world God. Our fleshy desires must die...there should be no excuse for following Jesus. He doesn 't want some of you, he wants all of you.

Verse 23: "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. " What I get out of this is that those of use who are following Jesus ' footsteps are denying self of worldly goods that interfere in spiritual growth and are daily inspecting himself for sinful traits that need correcting.

Miracles is normal Christian, believer 's way of life, nothing special! God is not a respector of persons! Most believers tend to box Jesus in their way of lives! Jesus is the Resurrection and Life! Only believe and it shall be made well! Fear not, what is dead in your life shall be alive in Jesus Christ, just believe.

We must not missed the moment when Jesus filled us with his Holy Spirit and Power. Jesus knows what inside in our hearts because of his love he gave us the power to keep our faith for those who are deligently seeking God. Put God first and seek his Kingdom first and you shall find. Love God with all your hearts and soul and serve him this is the first commandments that we have to commit ourselves. Jesus loves us and he is failthful to his promises and the only Jehovah who can provide anything, Everything is possible with Christ.

verse 57.....when you decide to follow Jesus, whatever is left behind has to remain behind, you must stay focused and keep your eyes on Him,if you offload all your burdens on His shoulder he will take care of everything, you dont have to worry about what is left behind not even to bury our loved ones....He is ready to carry our burdens if only we surrender all to Him and just trust Him

Keeping quiet in ALL thinga.which alot of us cant do.Having faith in an impossible hour.he fed the five thousand and healed the boy of an unclean spirit. We have to know what types of spirits we all dealing with before we go out and start calling them out.over all we need to find that mountain our little quiet spot and spend SOME time with god even if some one is present

No backslid Christian will enter Heaven? Because, when you hold the plough and your not vigilant it harm you, kill you . Have ever seen someone seriously damaged, with wounds been crowned as a king , Queen , one even a President on this earth ? In the last book old testament it says Go and give a sick animal , a spoil bread to your king or your President, and see if he or she would accept it. Before man and our creator , you , yourself will not correct it , so how much more Him?
  • Loraine on Luke 9:41 - 10 years ago
Jesus is love its not is plan nor purpose to see mankind suffers. So he 's asking sinners to come to him now. He has given much time to change for wicked immoral life on this beautiful earth. He hates to see suffering. Is will is long everlasting life.
  • Loraine on Luke 9:41 - 10 years ago
Jesus is asking sinners to repent and come to accept as Lord Savior. He 's been patiently waiting for his children so that he can forgive and share a personal relationship inorder to reap long life benefits.

  • BSP on Luke 9:48 - 10 years ago
In a world full of egotistical and selfish people, we have to constantly put forth effort to cultivate and maintain humility. To men, the one who is great is who has the most of something, but to God the person who is great is who conducts himself as a lesser person. We want to be considered great in Jehovah God 's eyes.
  • Shay on Luke 9:48 - 10 years ago
This shows how we want to view ourselves as a lesser one. This is a person who is modest and humble. We have to continuously put forth an effort to cultivate such qualities because the competitive environment in which we live might influence us to be egotistical, combative, or manipulative.
