The Lord can and will use anything for His glory and praise even Christmas and Halloween. During the Christmas season, even the unsaved and others who normally not listen or heed the name of Christ do so. From mid November thur the end of Christmas, Songs of Jesus' birth and the coming King are heard almost everywhere. And how many of us leave our Christmas decorations up - way pass December 25!

Halloween lets the people of God use innovating ways to reach the unchurched. Tracts and candies given to children as they come to the doors. In contrast, the decorations for halloween are down quickly by the next day.

We cannot let the world dictate to us how to fight in God's name, however we must remain faithful and call on Jesus and His word to guide our battle plans on a daily basis.

I've never had anyone turn down a Bible tract with money in it. Let's not haggle over what God likes, loves, or wants. Let's go forward and testify in His name. 2 Timothy 4:2

"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine."

    Philippians 1: 15 - 18

15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:

16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.

18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

God bless everyone. Have a happy summer! 2021

May the Wisdom of God come upon all

The doubting comes when we are ignorant of the character of God. But do not fear, all things spoken to us in scripture will come to pass. God my King, the Lord Jesus Christ promises abundance. My position in Christ, my salvation, gives me automatic victory. But in order to be victorious, in this life, I must take my stand, ( Eph 6: 11-18) I must realize my perfect position in the Lord. Let me live in victory. Walk in wisdom of the Lord and stand. Know who you are in scripture. Possessing the victory in Christ Jesus comes from knowing who you are in Christ Jesus.

If I am not willing to search the scriptures and go to battle, then I should not expect peace and comfort from the Lord. Prayer is a Battle ground. Read the Book of Daniel. We must come to Christ believing. The Lady with the issue of Blood came believing and was healed. Read the gospel of Mark.

Stand fast and learn of Jesus, then go out a do it in His name. May the Lord bless you in your search to know God intimately. I have to remind myself of these concepts daily. Bless you all. Saved since 1961, I'm now 70 years old. Praise His name.

Know Jesus, know life abundant. No Jesus, no life in abundance.

    Dear Steve,

That is a heavy situation you have found yourself in. Thank you for sharing and I'm sorry you haven't received a timely response from others like maybe you were hoping for.

Proverbs 27:17 - this verse comes to mind as we often need support from each other and to get other perspectives, so I'm glad you have risked to share your story in hope to get new others' input.

I have prayed about this and I'd like to share my impression.

"my wife has become a victim of my sins"

I don't believe you caused your wife's condition. My mother had the same condition as do millions and it's already hard enough to deal with, but if we attempt to blame ourselves we only worsen an already unpleasant situation. We need to be loving and nurturing to ourselves so we have love left over to give to others. Mark 12:31. So, please don't blame yourself and instead be extra gentle with yourself and give yourself a break, that way you have more love to give others a break too. We all have limited days on earth and should make the most of it and focus on the good- especially in regards to relationships, helping others, using our gifts, etc.

    "Are my prayers lost?"

God hears your prayers. It does take faith/belief and genuine motives. Mark 11:24. James 1. God bless you.

    Paving the Way

    -

Two thousand years, or so, ago

    Jerusalem rejoiced

for all the future hopes they had

    at last were being voiced.

    -

    The King had ridden into town;

    a donkey was His ride.

They laid their clothes before Him and

    "Hosanna!" they all cried.

    -

To make His travel smoother, they

    put palms along His way.

    To them, these branches symbolized

    a victory that day.

    -

They hoped that He would free them from

    the Romans' rule for good.

It's true, He came to free them, but

    they all misunderstood.

    -

They had it wrong when He once asked

"Who do you say I am?"

They all were thinking lion when

He came to be a lamb.

    -

When He was crucified, then rose,

    there was no gleeful throng.

They thought their hopes were ended, and

Thank God that they were wrong.

    -

The King for which they paved the way

    with branches where He trod

had paved the way for all our souls

    to reconcile with God.

    -

We just began to have a chance

    to enter Heaven's gate.

The King has paved the way for us,

    so let us celebrate.

If he is not good for you then he is not a God send . The devil is able to send temptations .

It also could be your prayer was not heard , for many reasons . Maybe he is good for you and you do not see it .

One thing for sure is God honours his word , but do we honour Gods word ?

If you are not fully confident with this person then don't proceed would be my advice .

To find the right person we must ourselves be the right person . Single is much better in my opinion , less trouble.

I am currently dealing with TD BANK in Canada regarding past overdue mortgage payments and overdue property taxes, all of which have been turned over to their lawyers in Calgary. They are requiring all monies be paid by January 4 of next year. In this amount is included the six months of grace everyone was given on their mortgages from March to September of this which all NOW DUE. I believe in faith that God will enable me to pay this indebtedness on time according to Mark 11: 23-26. The total amount due is $13,500. That is all monies overdue as well of revolving credit, all within a secured line of credit.

Whatever things you desire, when you pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. When you pray, forgive. Have faith in God. You can speak to the mountain and tell it to move. Don't doubt in your heart, but believe that those things you ask for will come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith ( Mark 11:23-26). God's word is filled with great and precious promises.

technically, he is against it as it was originally a Roman pagan tradition. It was called Saturnalia, which was in celebration to their pagan god Saturn. The same with Halloween and Easter--both pagan traditions. Halloween was a Celtic pagan tradition done to ward off evil spirits (demons) and Easter was celebrated to a fertility goddess. So all of those things existed long before Jesus did

To understand Psalm 2:12, we have to take in the other verses as well. Starting from verse 6, the Psalmist speaks, under the inspiration of the Spirit, about a coming King to set up His Kingdom in Zion (Hill of Jerusalem). God refers to him as a His Son, & One Who is begotten (the Hebrews writer quotes this in Hebrews 1:5 when writing about the superiority of Jesus over the angels).

And to this Son, all of Earth will be His possession (in that day) & so the solemn instruction & warning to the "kings & rulers of the Earth" (v 10), to be wise & not foolish. The wise one will "kiss the Son" (v 12): not a literal kiss of affection, but as in Eastern cultures, one of homage/obeisance to one who is greater than them (it may be a bowing down, or a kiss on the hand or garment). So when the Son (Jesus) is acknowledged & worshipped, the one doing so will not experience His Anger or rejection as those who show Him disdain. But it is one thing to acknowledge the coming King, but another to put one's trust & love upon Him. There will be a time in the future, when Jesus will not only be acknowledged as the Messiah & King by all, but will also receive the love & trust that His rightfully His from those who are witnesses of this, turning their unbelief & rejection into belief, trust & deep love for the One Who comes in the Name of LORD. Psalm 118:26 and Mark 11:9,10 show the first cry of joy at Christ's coming.

So, the Psalm 2 is a prophetical Psalm - maybe unknown to the writer, but now revealed to us in Jesus.
  • Henry on Mark 11 - 4 years ago
Some people who have done you wrong don't want your forgiveness as their conscience is seared with a hot iron.

Sometimes you just need to let justice through the Lord work its course and move on with your life as no one can escape His judgment.
  • Growing Your Faith To Be Healed - In Reply on Ephesians 1 - 4 years ago
Then Jesus said to the disciples, "Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, 'May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours. But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too. Mark 11:22-25

The prayer of faith is important because it is the key to having your prayers answered. You can't effect Spirit-led change in your life and in the lives of those around you without faith. On the other hand, with faith, Jesus says, "you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours." Faith finds out what the Word has to say, prays in accordance with that Word and believes regardless of pain & circumstances.

I'm told my back needs surgery. I told my doc, it doesn't hurt. I choose to believe in God. She smirks slightly.

So when I feel the aches, I plead the Blood of Jesus over it until it stops. If it restarts I do it again. Your faith is centered solely on Jesus as you do that. Your faith is getting bigger than the pain. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

I am not going to give satan any ground to rejoice! The blood of Jesus is full payment for all of my sins and neglect of my body when I was young. Our pain IS under the Blood of Jesus. No devil is going to touch that Blood.

I'm going to pray that the Lord will give skill and concentration on your surgery. I pray the Lord to guide your surgeons hands. I ask the Lord to heal every wounded nerve in your back and cause them to be replaced by new ones! Amen!

You, dear one, you thank Jesus for daily mending. Step into the healing of his blood every time you feel a twinge. May your faith grow huge.

First of all nobody is perfect.( Romans 3:23-25) Second of all i will pray for you to the Father.( 1 Timothy 2:1-4) David, Solomon, Moses, Aaron, and others in the Bible were not perfect, sinned against God and were corrected for it.( Hebrews 12:6-11) The key thing we all need to do daily is repent of our sins because we are not perfect but Jesus Christ our Lord is and he loves us wanting the best for us.( 1 John 1:9)( 2 Peter 3:9) Our choices decide how close or distant we are from the Father.( James 4:7-10) The main thing we need to remember is that God loves use and created us for his pleasure.( Revelation 4:11) The Lord never falls short but we do. This is why he wants us to humble ourselves and ask him for forgiveness in sincerity.( Proverbs 28:13) If we are not pleasing to him he will correct us to keep us from being deceived and falling away from him. The Lord instructed use through his word and sacrificed himself to draw us closer to him.( John 1:1-5)( John 3:16) Pray believing in the Lord with a humble heart and talk to him, he loves you because your his child( Mark 11:24).

In Greek, the word for 'ought' is 'tis', which can mean 'anyone, someone, or something'. Given the context of Mark 11:25, it appears that Jesus is referring to 'some matter, grievance or sin' committed against someone - to forgive first then start praying for God's forgiveness is what's needed. I assume the sinful heart, including hypocrisy, are prohibitive for God to act.
  • Mishael - In Reply on Romans 3:4 - 4 years ago
Laurie, this is the way to be released from things which trouble your peace:

    Mark 11:25

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

How many times? Until that memory loses its power to trouble you.

I pray, that as you pray, that you will once again find your peace of mind and spirit.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says: to every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Read verses 2-8. This season will come to a close if you will trust in what God says here.

It's the forgiving that makes this whole thing work. You'll not feel like doing this. It's an act of obedience and faith in Gods Word to us. Just like me, you'll wake up one day, and all that hate and discomfort of mind...will be peaceful.

    Genesis 1:11

"And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so."

    Mark 11:12-25

Jesus Curses a Fig Tree and Clears the Temple Courts

12 The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. 13 Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. 14 Then he said to the tree, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." And his disciples heard him say it.

15 On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple courts and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, 16 and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. 17 And as he taught them, he said, "Is it not written: 'My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations'[a]? But you have made it 'a den of robbers.'[b]"

18 The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him, for they feared him, because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching.

19 When evening came, Jesus and his disciples[c] went out of the city.

20 In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. 21 Peter remembered and said to Jesus, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!"

22 "Have faith in God," Jesus answered. 23 "Truly[d] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you

Father God, You said, whatever things I ask when I pray, believe I receive them, and I will have them! ( Mark 11:24)

I now speak directly to the sickness or disease, in Jesus' name: spine trauma, pain; substance addiction; that is now in my body, I command you to die, in the name of Jesus. I go to the root cause of the problem, and command the root of this sickness to die and disappear, in the name of Jesus. I command all pain and lying symptoms of illness to Go! now and not return, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I command complete healing to take place and manifest in my body now, in Jesus' name. I receive Your healing power right now; I command it to flow through my body and free me from pain, all other discomfort, and all symptoms of sickness now, in Jesus' name.

My faith is in your Word in Luke 4:18. You took my infirmities, my sickness and injured body; and by Your stripes I Am Healed! You took all my diseases into your body when You were crucified and died, So that I can be healed and live in perfect health.

When Satan lies and says I'm not healed, I will counter with Luke 4:8, 4:12 and 4:4. Write your Word on my heart so I can fight the good fight Of faith and be victorious over all mine enemies of doubt. I will sing your praise and strengthen my faith by reading the Bible faithfully with zeal.

Father God, you said in Your Word...and it is impossible for the Creator of the Heavens and the earth to lie...You are the God Who Heals Me. I believe You, I speak this healing prayer for me and MIX it with my FAITH.

I give you my life, and receive your Life, into my body, soul and spirit: my Savior, my Lord and my Healer. I will keep my eyes on You throughout this time of healing and restoration. My testimony belongs to you. You are my Source.

In Jesus Name; Name above all other names named. Thank you.

This will be stored in the 1-100 history pages so you can pray it as often as you need to. Blessings on your recovery.
