Mark 13:13 is talking about the Jews in the tribulation, every Jew will be hated in that time and they will all be persecuted if they do not take the mark of the beast and they will have to endure until the end to be saved.

Father, You make it very clear, we are not to be ignorant as to the return of our LORD and SAVIOUR, when we will meet Him in the clouds. Bless all those who seek You in truth and bless our enemies. In CHRIST JESUS I pray and give Thee thanks. Amen. Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. Matthew 24:43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Matthew 24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

That is correct but also understand that God knew everything about you, every thing you were going to do from the beginning of time, as He did of every person on the earth; omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent a Mighty God He is. Amen

Please interpret MARK 13:13 for me. Also when JESUS says no man knows the day or the hour, is HE speaking about just unbelievers or everyone? Please respond. Thank you! Mike Williamson

In verse 24 after that first tribulation, meaning after Satan has came acting as antichrist, instead of Christ, fake messiah doing tricks with his supernatural powers then you see Christ come. So when you see a false Christ doing such things don't go, don't join the crowd worshipping him and don't listen to his locust priest that come with him preaching he is CHRIST and don't join the world.

Mark 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, let him that readeth understand, then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains: 2 Thessalonians 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Revelation 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

The abomination of desolation standing where HE ought not is correct and if antichrist is there you better flee because his worshippers will be there and you don't want to be in that bunch. 2 Thessalonians 2 tells us Satan would be there claiming he is God and Rev. 13 tells us he will look like the Lamb of God. 1st seal Satan comes on a white horse with a crown and a bow. Looks just like Jesus.

Vickers it is very close with the swarming taking place from Egypt to Syria. Then the raiser of taxes has to leave office and that should happen in 2016 then the vile person shows up. What year we do not know but we know the season. When he arrives and they say Jesus is in the desert don't go because it's a false Christ that comes first and if you love the Lord you will wait for the true Christ.

God has help us. He gave us the seals so that we can be sealed in our minds so that we don't have the mark of the beast as the heathens do. God tells us that Satan is coming to deceive the world as a crowned king who calls himself God and sits in Jerusalem saying he is our Saviour. So when that time comes we are to wait for the true Christ and they, the locust army and Satan cannot harm a hair on our heads. So for about 3 months don't buy or sell and just have your bills paid so when you see Satan healing a political wound and starting his one world system keep out of it.

The Abomination is gay or homosexual activity. Of Desolation is not being able to procreate or have children due to homosexual activity. Standing where it ought not is gay or Homosexual Marriage performed in a church of GOD. This is happening in the United States now. May GOD bless you to know that we are in the end times, because only the elect will know this to be true.

i am finding this describing the anti-Christ while claiming it is Jesus Christ. is this book a doctrine of demons? 2 Esdra 13: 25 This is the meaning of the vision: Whereas thou sawest a man coming up from the midst of the sea: 32 then shall my Son be declared, whom thou sawest as a man ascending. 51 Then said I, O Lord that bearest rule, shew me this: Wherefore have I seen the man coming up from the midst of the sea? key words: ascending, and from the sea - - - - 2 Esdra 13: 32 the signs shall happen which I shewed thee before, 50 And then shall he shew them great wonders. key words: signs, wonders - - - - Revelation 17:8 The beast ... shall ascend out of the bottomless pit Revelation 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, - - - - 2 Thessalonians 2 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, - - - - Mark 13:26 26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. Revelation 1:7 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds - - - - the anti-Christ ascends from below up to earth 's surface, and he rises from the sea. Jesus descends from Heaven down to earth 's surface, He comes in the clouds, is seen in the sky not the sea. please do your own study, and pray.

I have always had some trouble speaking my mind properly. I tend to put my foot in my mouth. I tend to play what I might say in my head alot. That morning I opened the bible at random looking for God to speak to me directly. I was filled with JOY to receive this message.

Great statement watching means reading the word of God! You have opened my eyes even more to our Savior words. Thanks Bozki.
  • Norm on Mark 13 - 9 years ago
Bozki, Are you saying that the Scriptures give us no idea of when the Lord will gather His Church or establish His Kingdom on earth? Also, are you certain that each of us who have already died once will also die a second death? Please reference particular Scripture if you answer. May the LORD bless all who yearn for the truth and nothing but the truth.
  • Norm on Mark 13 - 9 years ago
I see much discussion throughout this site regarding when The Lord will return. Noting Motdaugrnds 's comment are you referring to the gathering of the Church which is also known as the body of Christ or are you referring to when Christ establishes His Kingdom? Each of these grand events would count as His return or coming. But, they are separate events occurring in different times or years. Please consider the stern and direct warnings in Matthew 24:48 and Luke 12:45 from the Lord God Almighty. Blessings to all who yearn for the knowledge of the truth.

This passage Talks about the RETURN of the KING., but we did not know when it happens.Jesus taught us, made us aware of the the things that happens now. Brothers and Sisters in CHRIST, We dont know, nobody knows when is really the 2nd coming, but we are very very sure that any of this TIME, DEATH come to everyone of us, Question is, are we ready to face GOD?what will be our answer if GOD ask us What did you do on earth while you are alive that makes me HAPPY? or We can hear GOD says, well done my good and faithful servant. Jesus taught us to WATCH and PRAY, watching means read the Word of GOD, teach others who did not know the truth, and your faith will be strengthen through PRAYERS.If we do this GOD will be PLEASED. GOD Bless Everyone.

  • Rob Mitchell on Mark 13:14 - 9 years ago
This passage from Mark reflects that of Daniel. The roman army surrounded and destroyed Jerusalem in 70 AD. Just as Daniel was not written until after Antiochus and the Abomination that makes desolate, so Jesus 's teaching was not composed until after the Temple was destroyed in 70 AD. The first gospel did not surface until after or during the destruction of Jerusalem. Written either in Rome or Northern Judea, away from the immediate Roman assault. None of the Gospels date to before the destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem. Authentic St. Paul is the only NT writings to surface before the destruction of Jerusalem. Most biblical scholars have researched this and it makes sense. Paul and Peter were dead before Rome destroyed the center of both Judaism and Christianity---still centered in Jerusalem.
  • Motdaugrnds on Mark 13 - 9 years ago
Katie, I appreciate your attempt to help me understand what this "abomination of desolation " is and I do understand it is the "antichrist ". Yes I know it is the one spoken of by the prophets. I 've come to believe the Scriptures have ALL been opened for us to understand. I suspect this "abomination of desolation antichrist " will be identified. According to Scripture many will worship this "person ". There is no need for so much confusion to be around this OR around the return of our Savior. The Scriptures have been very clear that His return will be AFTER the great tribulation, which is the last great effort of satan 's to turn us humans toward worshiping him.
  • Bryan W on Mark 13 - 9 years ago
When I was a new believer in Jesus I was taught that we, the church, would be raptured before the great tribulation.Jesus is telling us in verses 24-27 that He returns after the tribulation. After the Sun is darkened and the Moon gives no light and the Stars are falling from the sky then you shall you see the Son of man coming. verse 26 . We need to realise that we the church according to Jesus Christ will be on Earth during the tribulation. Matthew 24:29-31 confirms this also. 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. There is a lot of deception around regarding the tribulation but Jesus has clearly told us when He is to return and yes it shall be Immediately after the tribulation.

Timothy Mark-that is not what verse 10 means. This chapter 13 of Mark is also linear to the chapter 21 of Luke and Chapter 24 of Matthew. Verse 10 is in direct reference to verse 9. Your explanation means that you took a subject article object of this verse and made it up. The subject, article and object comes from the previous verse if there isn 't one. It is in direct reference to being delivered up to the synagogues of satan. Verse 9 says you will be delivered up for a testimony AGAINST THEM. The Gospel truth you will witness before them! You should also read revelations 7:1-3 about how Gods people need to be teached before the end can happen.
  • Katie on Mark 13 - 9 years ago
Motdaugrnds-It is in reference to Daniel 9:27 and Daniel 11:31 and Daniel 12:11- First here is Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Here is Daniel 11:31 32--31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. 32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. Daniel 12:11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. The short answer to your question is the desolator is the Antichrist himself...standing in the Holy Place claiming to be the true Christ.
