Discuss Mark 1 Page 12

The first few verses of this chapter talks of John the Baptist 's being the messenger that prepared the way for Jesus. I 'm remembering somewhere in Scriptures reading about 144,000 who will apparently be preparing the way for Jesus ' return....wishing I could remember what part of Scripture I saw that.

This verse shows how powerful Jesus Christ is. He simply commanded the wicked spirit to come out of the man and it came out of him. Jesus was so much more than just a "good man " as some people say.

This shows that Peter was married. The teaching that priests should not be married is a man made tradition. It has no basis in the Bible.

Answer 1. Paul preached by grace through faith not works Rom 4:5, Eph 2:8-9. He rebaptized those in Acts 19 because they had Johns baptism see vs 3. How could they be saved like we are in the church age if they haven 't heard of the Holy Ghost? Vs 2. These disciples in vs 1 have believed but have not received the Holy Ghost. The problem is that they are not disciples of Jesus Christ ch 18:24-25, they are discoples of Apollos. Apollos was not even saved when he made these disciples because they knew nothing about Jesus Christ ch 18:25-26. The revelation they had only went to Mark 1:4. These didn 't have the Holy Ghost because they hadn 't believed on Christ Jn 7:39.

Verse 15 reads , believe the gospel . We understand Chirst has not died yet, what is the gospel. Galatians 2 7 tell what this gospel is . Gospel of the circumcision ,at this time frame.this is in KJV most other bibles pervert this verse. romans 16 25 , 1cor. 15 1 4 this is the gospel of the uncircumcision. Always rightly divide. 2tim. 2 15

The Lord is so awesome. He is a great example for us to follow. The perfect pattern of Love.

hi there I just thought ill say how much I love the holy bible could I get a copy of the holy bible as I want to read it on paper I personally think we need to make religion to the 21st century the bible needs people to beliven or this planet will be lost I fear.

The gospel is the power of God that need to be preached with the mind of God for it 's mission of saving mankind from doom of sin . That is, preach the words with authority . As lord Jesus did, even though the pharises were astonish ed for his authoritative teaching , because they were not used to such .

Demoniic spirits know who we are, they will either confirm the power within us and bow down as they did to Jesus or they will expose and shame the powerlessness in us.Only the true righteousness of God will cast out demons.

I am particularly fascinated with the part of the scripture that says the Spirit THRUSTETH him .... The Holy Spirit can actually FORCE, COMPEL, PUSH us into going in the direction and purpose of God 's will for our life?!

I just got baptized today, and after baptizing, the first book i opened was mark and it is an amazing book of the lord.However,i will read more to comment on my reading later. thanks for this internet study.

Our Pastor of my church has a study on the book of Mark It s interesting to know that Mark was the first book written in the New Testament Limits half of the book is devoted to Jesus teachings on the suffering a Messiah and suffering of the Disciples Mark focuses on Eternal Life It s an amazing book and reading it and studying it will be a Blessing to everyone Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow

We as Christians we suppose to do God s work without fear because we have assurance from The Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ that he will be with us to the end of the world

I read the book of Mark when it was time of bible study I was been took by the verse of 15 which say the kingdom of God is at hand repent ye its true the kingdom of God is at hand what you can do now is to run to Jesus AMEN

The foolish took their lamps (souls), and took no oil (Holy Sprit) with them.

I LIKE THE WAY THE ENGLISH BIBLE SAYS IT, BECAUSE IT SHOWS THE ONE PURPOSE JOHN CAME TO DO, AND THAT WAS TO CHANGE THE LIVE'S OF MANY PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE: SEALING THERE FAITH THROUGH BAPTIZING THEM, IN THE NAME OF THE LORD.

I started my 2014 by Reading Mark 1. Just like in today's modern world, I am sure there are unclean spirits in churches today?? Only God knows our hearts! I love John's description of our Lord.

Believing in the word of God with all your heart and soul is the ultimate duty of man.

I' m loving my Lord Jesus!!! can I get an Amen!!!!

My understanding is that Jesus cured the man and asked him to say nothing about it, but to show himself to the priest. By not saying who had cured him it would have left people pondering on what had occurred. Also by remaining quiet he would have protected himself from harm. Sadly he didn't listen to the Lord. When the lord told him to do as Moses commanded,I believe he was asking the man to obey the commandments passed down to Moses, as a thank you for his being cured.
