    John 11:55, Mark 14:12, John 6:4, Luke 22:1,

    John 12:1,12,13, John 13:1-2,

    Matthew 27:15,

1st Sabbath being the Passover feast.

    Exodus 12,

    2nd Sabbath Matthew 28:1,

Psalms 81:3, also significant Mark 15:33, total solar Eclipse, New moon?

We should be careful not to follow after traditions set up by men, but Study to understand. Colossians 2:8, Matthew 15:3, Mark 7:9

Why would Jesus rebuke them over tradition? Because even today it causes doubt, & confusion amongst the church.

Hopefully these scriptures are helpful. GOD's WORD is truth.

    Tradition is not 100% reliable.

Leviticus 11 are the food laws. In Acts 10 the Lord deals with Peter for refusing to eat food he believed unclean. 3 times.

Food cooked responsibly and received with prayer and thanksgiving is clean. The power of "clean" is in Jesus Name.

Even John the Baptist ate roasted locusts. Follow the scriptures and don't be in bondage to laws. The law is the School Master until Grace comes; who is Jesus.

In verses 31 through 37, what a Merciful God The Lord Jesus Christ is. How wonderful that Our Lord in Pure Holy Perfection creates and bestows with His Word the gifts of Life in Hearing and Speaking, that this man received the opportunity to both receive Faith through Hearing the Word of God and in speaking the Praises that only Christs Grace gives True Believers through their tongues. This is The Lord's doing and it leaves us all beyond measure astonished.

People's Bible Notes for Matthew 10:35

I am come to set a man at variance against his father. This was not the Savior's object, but the effect. The conversion of individual members of the family would cause variance. In nearly all quarrels, except those about religion, the members of the same family stand together, but in religious feuds the family circle is often broken and its parts arrayed against each other.

    Wesley's Notes for Mark 7:22

Wickedness - The word means ill natured, cruelty, inhumanity, and all malevolent affections. Foolishness - Directly contrary to sobriety of thought and discourse: all kind of wild imaginations and extravagant passions.

One sign that you have received the holy spirit is the presence of the fruit of the Spirit. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. ... Growth takes time, and you can be patient with yourself as you grow in the fruit of the Spirit.

12 FRUITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The 12 fruits are charity (or love), joy, peace, patience, benignity (or kindness), goodness, longanimity (or long-suffering), mildness (or gentleness), faith, modesty, continency (or self-control), and chastity.

    Gods Nature=

Omnipotence - God is all-powerful - everything consistent with God's nature is possible. Omniscience - God is all-knowing, of past, present and future. Omnibenevolence - God is all-good/all-loving. Omnipresence - God is present everywhere.

Hi Dan, thanks for your comments. Please know that my response is given in love with my only intention to glorify the Lord.

I understand what you are saying about not turning down service providers based on if they are believers or not, I certainly would not turn down bypass surgery or roof repair because the provider was not a believer; however, those services are quite different than "spiritual" or "mind" service providers. Heart surgery or roof repair is not doctrine or the word of God and has nothing to do with salvation or living a Godly life or solving behavioral (heart) problems ( Jeremiah 17:9, Mark 7:20-23).

When it comes to obeying the Lord and following His word, psychology just seems to be a secular (and ungodly) look at behavior. It is an attempt to explain why we do things and what the solution is without referring to God and His word. Psychology is an invention from worldly men who denied Jesus Christ (people like Freud, Wundt, Jung, Skinner, etc). Some psychologists even merge the word of God and secular theory which seems unbiblical to me (we are to be set apart from this world - John 15:19, Romans 12:1-3, 1 John 2:15-17).

I guess what I am really asking is - to put it how you were phrasing it - if someone was 'sick' (spiritually) why would they go to a secular physician (psychologist) and not a spiritual physician (Jesus)? We even have a behavioral manual (the Word). The bible seems to continually say that the Lord and His word are sufficient, exactly what we need and that we should avoid the wisdom of men ( 2 Timothy 2:15-16, 2 Timothy 3:16, 1 Peter 2:25, Hebrews 4:14-16, Isaiah 55:7-9). 1 Corinthians 2:11-16. When we become a Christian, we have the mind of Christ, which is spiritual - not worldly. Jesus is our counselor ( Isaiah 9:6) and he knows us ( John 2:25).

It seems that as a Christian we either believe that the word of God is sufficient for all spiritual problems or we don't.

BTW - this is not for me, it involves a family member.

    Dear IMKane,

The Holy Bible and God's Word is not a puzzle as some would like others to believe. The simple, the meek, the humble, and the children will inherit God's Kingdom. With that said, we don't have to get a PhD in theology to understand God's Word because if we are sincere, and humble, LIKE CHILDREN, God's Holy Sprit will teach us THE TRUTH.

Again, the scripture spoken by Jesus is very simple to understand and sums it all up:

    John 14:15

"If ye love me, keep my commandments."

Jesus said the commandments (Law) will last until heaven and earth pass/end. Heaven and earth have not passed YET, so the law is still in place!

    Matthew 5:18

"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."

The apostles did strive to keep the commandments, please see scripture below:

    1 John 2:3

"And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments."

If we let others lead us away from the TRUTH with the "popular faith and grace argument" we are blinded to the THRUTH!

    Mark 7:9

"And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition."

So in summary, we can keep God's commandments and walk in his ways, or follow your own man made tradition, as stated above in Mark7:9

    God Bless

    Hey Jan,

The Bible does not contradict itself; the traditions of men do. When we read with all those preconceived ideas and traditions, we cannot hear the Holy Spirit of truth. I am sure the word just popped out telling you this does not match. Jesus busted the Pharisees, ( Mark 7:4-9), traditions are of man. The tradition of Adam and Eve being the first humans is a tradition.

I am not of the group of a world before this one and it was destroyed, but you are correct the six days do not line up with the second chapter with Adam and Eve. The purpose of Adam is what gets lost, was it to start humankind or the start of the plan of our salvation, being the first Adam and Jesus the last Adam to undo the works of Satan. Due to the flood, we are all descendants of Adam.

Things to look at, the word earth, h-'-re #776 meaning earth, land, countries. And field, the word field ( ha--eh). Strongs #7704 meaning; field, land, agriculture. All the plants in day three were self-producing no cultivation needed. Second chapter it had not rained because there was not a man to till the ground. These were plants of the field, you must plant and till a garden or it will not grow, (husbandry).

The animals in chapter two were of the field (domesticated), the fowls were out of the ground (domesticated) not out of the water as day five. This clearly is another creation and one would have to deny or ignore what scripture clearly says to fit a tradition.

Man, male and female in day six were told be fruitful, multiply and replenish (to fill) the earth, subdue it and have dominion over all thee earth that God had created. Adam and Eve were in the garden, could they do what was told man in day six? No. If we say it was after they were cast out of the garden could God say at the end of day six all was very good? No. Adam and Eve sinned and they did not multiply until they were cast out of the garden.

I know this is not a lot of info but may it help.

I'm doing research on Historical Bible mistakes and contradictions. The work is as expansive as hidden crimes come to life. For those who make up excuses for the current Bible errors, shame on you. These errors have already been corrected, and no thanks to the people who pleaded against the changes, saying God makes no mistakes. God is perfect, people are not.

in 1860, William Henry Burr produced a list of 144 self-contradictions in the Bible.

A 1716 edition of the 17th-century King James version (known as the Party Bible) replaces "Sin no more" from Jeremiah 31:34 with "Sin on more". There were 8,000 copies printed before anyone noticed.

"Let the children first be killed" is Mark 7:27 and it's supposed to be: "Let the children first be filled." A 1795 edition of the King James version.

"If the latter husband ate her" Known as the Cannibal's Bible, a 1682 printing alters this passage from Deuteronomy 24:3, which is meant to read: "If the latter husband hate her."

" I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved." Genesis 32:30

"No man hath seen God at any time" John 1:18

"The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father" Ezekiel 18:20

"I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation" Exodus 20:5

    2 Corinthians Chapter 5

6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

Let us Read from Mark 7: about the Centurions request to Jesus. Also, Jesus's reply to the Centurion. Let us not disregard Job 1. Satan has no authority of his own; to take our life from us. Not anymore. Jesus took the Keys of death and the grave, away from Satan at the finished work of the Cross.

Have you called your Church to come and pray for you? The Pastor and his devoted prayer warriors?

The Body of Christ are the Hands of Jesus; His mouth, His Will working, through them. Don't shun them because you think you're contemplating suicide. This is not that.

Apostle Paul had been stoned, beat up, in prison, starved, cursed, ship wrecked, bit by a deadly viper, called a heretic by the Jews: he wanted to go be with Jesus! But he stuck it out a while longer, so he could plant churches WITHIN Jesus's followers. He died horribly at the hands of the Romans. You're going to meet Paul :)

If your work is finished here; and you've "set your house in order", it is no sin to decline the machines. That's not a suicide. If after you've read all these scriptures and you called in your Church to pray for you: it is between you and your Lord. He is touched by your infirmities and suffering. God is not going to suffer you to be kept alive by a machine. Be at peace. Psalm 23.

May God's angels stand around your beside and protect you.

    Hi Gary,

I am very happy that you liked the post I put together of basically "sins or evil things" we should stay away from. I added a couple things though most of it is from the NT. I actually started taking notes of these things and have all the verses that I would like to share with you as it seems you are taking notes of these things also for your sermons. This will give you all the places, and a couple more, where I got those things I posted:

    Mark 7:20-23, Romans 1:21-32, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:16-21, Ephesians 5:5, Hebrews 12:14, 2 Timothy 3:1-5, James 1:19-22, Colossians 3,

As some things are noted in several places so I had to delete things so they would not show up twice.

Knowing this may help you preaching to others I am very thankful to put in my little bit to help. All glory to the Lord.

God Bless you on your journey brother Gary.

Hi Richard, I wonder whether you're referring to Exodus 4:10,11. These verses do seem to imply that God specifically creates some (in the womb) to have defective organs or other impediments. He is after all the Creator of all people & things & so has the right to do as He pleases. However, the question: why would God then create a new life with such physical or mental problems? Is it simply sufficient to say that 'He has every right to do so?"

Apart from the above, I see two other aspects to this dilemma: we are all born in corrupt sinful flesh. Even though an embryo cannot be classed as one having committed any sin, its very state, being formed out of the seed of sinful man & woman, already consigns it to an existence (whether in the womb or outside), into a sinful state. And secondly, the Ways & Plans of God are unknown to us. We don't know how God uses such people so afflicted in various ways; whether to glorify Him, to lead them to Himself, or to touch other lives through their infirmity. We usually see the suffering of the one afflicted & ask 'why has God allowed this to happen'?, yet we remain ignorant to the Purposes of God in doing so & for the one afflicted to still return praises to Him in spite of it all.

Here in Exodus chapter 4, we see Moses with a speech impediment; in John 9:1-3 (a man born blind); Mark 7:31-34 (deaf man & with a speech impediment); Acts 3:1-3 (lame man) are a few examples. Then we have babies born with disabilities from no fault of the parents, or maybe because of something ingested by the mother (e.g. Thalidomide when taken during pregnancy for anxiety & morning sickness). All these are the results from what we are as humans or what God has allowed for His Own reasons. What is more important is how we accept our lot in life, how we can be useful to others in some way, & whether through it we are reminded of our own weaknesses & sins & therefore run to the Saviour for spiritual healing & hope, & strength to live through each day.

Ephesians 4:30 30And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Most of us grieves the Holy Spirit = when we disobey our Lord, the Holy Spirit is burden with sorrow, so it cannot blend or unite with our human spirit. When we: lie, even white lies but don't repent, gossip, spread false doctrine, judge others, unkind or ungodly thoughts, finding faults with others, blaming others for our mistakes, anger and being deceitful, manipulating others to get your ways, self-justification, adultery, fornication, stubbornness, prideful, refuse to speak to family members, homosexuality, others.

1 John 2:15 - 16 15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Here are four specific examples of situations in which the disciples didn't "get it," Holy Spirit not in them.

In John 4:31-34, the disciples encouraged Jesus to eat, and He replied, "I have food to eat of which you do not know." Jesus' closest followers thought their Master was referring to physical food, so He explained to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work."

Matthew and Mark report that Jesus taught His hearers that certain things coming out of an individual defile him or her, not specific, forbidden foods that enter into a person or failing to perform a ritual such as hand washing. The disciples asked for an explanation. Jesus gently rebuked them and explained real problems arose from "evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness." Every one of "these evil things," He said, "come from within and defile a man" ( Mark 7:21-23).

This can happen to us today, if and when we grieve the Holy Spirit.

If you confessed Jesus and accepted him into your heart according to Rom 10:9;10 then your qualify to spend eternity with Jesus. You are now saved from Death and Hell, but your heart hasn't been fully converted. God places in us a "small, pure Jesus heart" once we get saved but this is only the start of our journey and dare I say "struggles" This new heart must now grow and become more and more like Jesus everyday. We have to die daily ( 1 Cor 15:31) We must decrease and Jesus must Increase. ( Rom 8:5-8)( 2 Cor 3:3). We still have our old nature even though we are saved. It takes work to change into what Jesus wants us to be ( 2 Tim 3:16,17) It is almost normal to struggle with sin on a daily basis, even habitual sin but this is why Jesus died for us, We need to repent daily. Confess that sin daily. This is where many Christians miss the mark. We all believed that once we are saved then we are perfect immediately. Not so. You can in theory go into eternity with that habitual sin still in your heart. You will have to confess it then. ( 2 Tim 2:15 says "Study to show thyself approved unto God" Study takes work) . Read Gal 5:19, Mark 7:21. We all will struggle with sin until we die. It is just a question of how much we have laid down at the cross. Remember we must forgive 70 x 7. That includes ourselves. Our old heart must become like the new heart. Gal 5:19 must become Gal 5:22. But it takes time and lots of repentance. Hang on to your salvation, don't let Satan tell you you won't make it. Also read ( Rom 2: 29)

Hi John. You are correct to a degree but you don't have the complete picture. True, the thief on the cross wasn't baptized. He only received the blood. To this day that thief will remain a baby Christian as he never had the opportunity to grow in God. There are different levels in God's kingdom meant for different degrees of saved Christian. The thief went to paradise. this is only one level you can grow to in God. But if you want to receive the prize of the high calling ( Phil 3:14 and 1 Cor 9:24) you have to go beyond the gifts which is the common salvation ( Rom 10:9-10) and grow according to the tabernacle which includes baptism. When you accept Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour according to Romans 10:9-10. He washes away our sins and creates a new BABY heart within our old heart. This NEW heart is perfect and cannot sin. ( Eph 4:24) Out old heart doesn't disappear automatically or immediately ( Mark 7:21). The journey now starts where the old heart has to die and the new heart has to grow. This is why many Christians still exhibit anger, resentment, gossiping, betrayal" they haven't repented and died daily. It is a process of repenting, not an instantaneous gift of the spirit.

This is the principal of growing in God according to Moses' tabernacle which has 7 pieces of furniture and is laid out in the form of a cross. How to become a follower of Jesus Christ (Christian)

If you feel compelled to take your first step towards God, you can do that right now wherever you are.

    1. Acknowledge the Problem: We have all sinned, and that sin separates us from God

No matter how good you think you are, no matter how many good things you try to do, it is still not good enough to get into heaven; it can't be earned but is a gift.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

"And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness; all these evil things come from within, and defile the man." Mark 7:20-23

    2. Discover the Solution: Jesus

The only way for God to bridge the gap between Himself and us is through His Son, Jesus Christ. His death was a substitute for us; He paid the penalty for our sins.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God." I Peter 3:18

"Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12

    3. Respond: Believe, Repent, Confess, Accept Jesus as Lord and Savior

To be saved, we must believe that Jesus is Lord and believe that He died for our sins. This confession acknowledges before God that we are unable to attain righteousness on our own and that we accept His plan for our lives.

    CALIFORNIA WILDFIRES

In order to put the California wildfires into a 'spiritual' context we invite you to visit the 'Current Events' page of our website. There are several entries that will explain the cause of God's wrath and why people's prayers are all in vain ( Matthew 15:9). The 'Current Events' page is a collection of thoughts and discussions on today's 'Current Events' and how our website helps to explain and examine them and put them into a 'spiritual' context.

As a direct result of religious and made-made doctrines and commandments ( Matthew 15:9; Mark 7:7; Col.2:22), history has proven that mankind does not follow the first three commandments ( Ex. 20:3-7), bur rather follows after an image of a false god and a false Christ ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; 2 Cor. 11:13-15; Rev. 12:9). History has also proven that this whole world has been deceived as confirmed by the Word of God in Revelation 12:9, and history has also proven that 'Religion' is a deception that Satan is using to transform himself into an angel of light and an apostle of Christ ( 2Cor. 11:13-15).

You can learn more about our Ministry in Christ by Googling our 'Names' or the article "False Apostles and False Christs' or 'A World Deceived'. There is also a 'Contact' page for further communication. We invite you to review the 'Letter of Introduction' posted on the 'Introduction' page of the website. It highlights some of our work. Please note that our website was visited last year by people from over 160 countries. There are a total of 193 countries throughout the world plus the Vatican and Palestine that are listed as observer states.

It should be noted that in over 36 years of service we have never collected/received, solicited or requested donations. The gift of 'Life' was freely given and freely do we give to all those that believe ( 2 Kings 5:16; Matthew 6:26; 10:8).

Seek, and ye shall find ( Maatthew 7:7).

    In His Service.

Great reply brother. I don't find your examples strange at all. They are perfect. Just as you stated that there are countless things that go on in our everyday lives. That the Ten Commandments may not shed light on. As bringing up examples or "parables", just as Jesus did, helps people understand which way is the right way. It truly is a help to other people that may not understand things in the Bible.

One thing I wanted to share with you is last night it came to me to check a couple passages and put them to the Ten Commandments. In Mark 7:21-23 where Jesus is teaching about evil thoughts from within that "defile a person". The other is Galatians 5:19-23 where Paul states of the "works of the flesh" and "fruit if the Holy Spirit". With these two lists you can match up all the Ten Commandments. The seven of things to veer away from and the three things that God wants us to do. Just looking at those two list there is much more detailed information of things to repent from and things to seek after or focus on. Like you stated about many examples, there still are more things than just those written. Also just another guideline, to help us, from the Lord.

It is so true that we will be faced with things, in this life, that no person has spoken of. Or is written about. It is also true that not everyone is to be Blessed to receive the Holy Spirit in this life. As the Comforter and teacher for us from the Lord. I still believe God to be in all of us as He knows everything about everyone. It is truly a great treasure, and gift, to have the Spirit of Christ reside in us. A wonderful teaching, as all are, of Jesus Christ is Luke 6:27-38. Also the simple but "golden" rule of "Do unto others as you would want them to do to you."

Hope you have a great weekend Chris. God Bless my brother.

I've also thought of this before and was lead to these other things in the Bible:

    Romans 14:1-6

1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.

2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.

3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

    Also verse 14:

14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

    Mark 7:18-20

    18 And he(Jesus) saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;

19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?

20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

Along with the post, verse, you wrote which was God speaking to Noah. It is just my belief that the whole thing about "unclean" animals was just something made up by the pharisees. Of coarse I cannot proove this but I don't think any food or meat is really unclean. As we have these other verses backing this up. Today it seems we have all this GMO stuff which I don't like. I try to stay away from it but I don't feel guilty if I eat something with it. Hope this helps. God Bless.

Swine being forbidden was a Mosaic Law, found in Leviticus, in the Old Testament.

In the New Testament we now refer to Mark 7:15 for your answer.

What we eat and goes through our stomach doesn't defile us. It is what comes out of us, from the heart, that defiles us.

So if you enjoy bacon have an extra piece!

Have you seen the videos of Coke being poured over raw pork? Quite gross. Just ensure you cook your pork thoroughly.
