Hello, people who believe that often cite: Philippians 1:23, 2 Corinthians 5:8, and Luke 23:43. However, in my opinion these verses don't clearly state we go to heaven immediately, and there's actually far more verses saying we don't. For example, it says there will be a day of judgment Matthew 12:36, so clearly, people aren't going to skip that. It wouldn't make sense for people to go to heaven/hell before they're judged. Also, it clearly says we will be in 'sleep' before Jesus returns then the dead will rise to be judged. Daniel 12:2 So, it wouldn't make sense for people to go to heaven/hell, then return for a body, THEN be judged, etc. Also, no one judged before Jesus comes. 1 Cor 4:5

Notice it didn't say Father because God is the Father. Brother, sister, mother if they are saved then they are brother, sister and mother. Same for you and I, our saved friends are our brothers, sisters and mother.

SHALOM all praise to The MOST HIGH YAHWEH and his living breathing son YAHOSHUA which is the very mouth and manifestation of Elohim.

David slew Goliath with a stone, not a sword. Goliath the Philistine was already dead when David removed his head.
Read> 1 Samuel 17:50. And it was not a rock that David slew him with, but with a stone he slew him. The words of the LORD are pure words and to rightly divide his word 2Timothy 2:15, is a commandment of the Lord. There is a great difference in a stone and a rock in these pure words that the LORD hath spake from his own lips. Be very careful with your words.
Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement.

    Matthew 12:31-32,

"Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."

Hi Stan, I'd be interested in how that belief reconciles with Hebrews 6:4-6, Hebrews 10:26, Matthew 12:31 that warns Christians against following away and blasphemy. Do you believe Christians who use their freewill to denounce Jesus and follow satan, commit mass murder, and commit blasphemy will still be saved?

Galatians 4:10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. 11I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain. - Matthew 12:1, Mark 2:23, Luke 6:1 And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.
  • Adam - In Reply on Hebrews 6 - 5 years ago
You can have confidence in salvation, follow Jesus and be obedient at the same time. It's a false assumption to assume that just because the Bible is true about losing your salvation in Hebrews 10:26 that a Christ follow must live in fear? No, if you're following Christ in obedience you have freedom. Matthew 10:28, John 14:15, Matthew 12:31-32, Matthew 7:21. I believe what the Bible says. Hitler would go to heaven according to your once saved always saved belief.
  • Adam - In Reply on Hebrews 6 - 5 years ago
According to Matthew 12:31-32 if a Christian chooses to blaspheme the holy spirit they absolutely will not be forgiven. Even angels already in heaven still had the freewill to rebel against God. Humans on Earth including Christians absolutely still have freewill and sadly do turn and denounce Jesus and commit blasphemy. The Bible is crystal clear those Christians will not be saved. Matthew 7:21.

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. May I add that every word typed or wrote also shall we give account of when judged.

It is unfortunate that the sin of the world pollutes even within churches as you may hear church staff and even pastors use God's name in vain as if the culture says it's ok so somehow God is now ok with it. Not true. I wouldn't dare say this. Exodus 20:7 and Matthew 12:36-37.
  • Adam - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 5 years ago
Hebrews 10:26-29 says otherwise along with other scriptures like Matthew 12:31 that clearly say this sin is unforgivable. That doesn't mean you can do that sin and be forgiven. To believe that would mean to ignore Jesus's words. I think many believe they don't have to obey and can follow the world once they believe they're saved as an excuse to sin, despite John 14:15. Love God keep His commands

Whether we believe it or not, we are all writing the history of the lives we are living on this side earth in the "Chronicles" of God and we are going to give an account of that history before God one day in the day of judgment. After the account come rewards accordingly as stewards of God. Furthermore, compare this fact with Matthew 12:36,2Corinthians5:10, Galatians 6:7, Revelation 22:11-12.

Dear Sammy, a very big fish prepared by God swallowed Jonah after he was thrown overboard a ship which He boarded to flee when God commanded him go and preach to the City of Nineveh Jonah 1:17 . He was in the belly of the fish for 3 nights and 3 days. The Lord made reference to this event in the New Testament Matthew 12:40 signifying his Resurrection from the grave after dying on the Cross.

It's the tribute of Solomon who was was wise, 1 Kings 4:30, but Jesus is greatet, Matthew 12:42. It's in 1 Kings 10:14. This was about the time Solomon's wisdom was running out, because he turned to other gods and did evil, 1 Kings 11, and his yoke was grievous 1 Kings 12:11, and he wasn't suppose to multiply gold to himself. Or wives for that matter etc. Deuteronomy 17:17. It's also a riddle

Verse 16 says "There is a sin unto death", and later says we aren't to pray about that! What IS the sin he's speaking of? Any thoughts? Could it be blasphemy of the Holy Ghost? That is the only thing I have found that says there is no forgiveness for! ( Matthew 12:31)

verse 15-21 educate us of GOD's timing; we learn of another important moment in TIME when Jehovah / GOD 'once again' teaches us how great is HIS love for all mankind (as it relate to SALVATION); at this moment in Time GOD is preparing to mightily send the good-news of SALVATION through all the gentiles-lands: Africa, Asia, Europe, Russia, England, then across the sea to all of the Americas ...,
