The disciples found the whole marriage problem too difficult and concluded, "it is not good to marry",
Jesus followed up saying that few could manage to live that way:
But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. ( Matthew 19:11-12)
The Apostle Paul gives us more insight in 1 Corinthians chapter 7 among other passages.
The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. ( Matthew 19:3-11)
No Judas is not in Heaven. Did Judas have a relationship with God just because he followed Jesus and hung around Him? This relationship must occur on a Spiritual level to separate a person from the world. Not talking about leaving the world, but worldly things. Judas managed the money for the disciples. He was to give to the poor and buy food for them. This role is not by coincidence. Jesus used this to demonstrate that Judas' ties to this kept him with a worldly vision for Jesus and not understanding his need for a Spiritual relationship with The Father.
As we read through Matthew we continue to see Jesus point to a separation from the world. All that He speaks of is Spiritual living in a relationship to The Father. This Spiritual living can only be given of The Holy Spirit dwelling within us which cannot happen without a belief in Christ Jesus. Pray therefore The Father strengthen our belief, reliance and forgiveness in Christ Jesus for our wrongdoings & thoughts and that The Father not take away The Holy Spirit from us, but be Merciful. And in The Mercy The Father extends to us, we must extend to our Mother, Father, Brother & Sister. Be at Peace in Christ and secure that The Holy Spirit is dwelling within you to guide, convict and Bless your life in following Christ. For this is the preparation we need to become a perfect bride in total church for Christ Jesus to marry so we too become as One with Him; just as He, The Father and Holy Spirit are ONE.
I wander how many of these mulity millionaire preachers on T.V. dressed in their 1000 dollar suits and live in their mansions WITH THEIR PRIVET JETS AND FINE CARS would do what JESUS asked the young to do in Matthew, 19, verse 21. If thou will be perfect, go and sell that thou hast and give to the poor and thou shalt have treasure in Heaven and come and follow me.
Very interesting to read that the 12 disciples will sit on Thrones in heaven with Jesus and judge the 12 tribes of Israel at Judgement day. It is shocking to read this knowing Judas was one of the 12 disciples. Does this mean even though he betrayed Jesus and hung himself he is and will be with the Lord forever??? It is making me rethink many things about Judas and God's plans
For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
Google, history of word, eunochs and see if anything comes up?
We are to follow the laws of the land however just because it is law does not mean its "Holy".
Are all marriages ordained of God? No. There are many people who can legally marry someone. That does not make the union "Holy" it makes it legal. It So yes anyone can be divorced legally. Being married in church or by clergy does not make the union holy its's legal. i

First are you both saved and covered by the shed blood of the Lamb of God Jesus Christ ...a man who findeth an wife findeth a good thing, And obtains favor from the Lord.Mark Men if you are looking for a woman who looks good on your arm or one that you covet what she has, this is not ordained by God. This is born of the flesh. Findeth a wife, a good thing ...Women if you are looking for a man of wealth and status not so. Be not deceived there or wolves in sheep clothing seeking out whom they may devour. Both men and women.
Men when you find a woman that you love wholeheartedly and cherish one you would lay down your life for. That's the one. Women when God sends you the man of your prayers he should have all the qualities of a man after Gods own heart and who will love you with his whole heart, respect cherish and be ready to lay his life down for you. That's the one. Men if you want to be treated like the king of the castle (home) love honor cherish and rule with lovingkindness. This is the man who will receive respect and be treated as King. And the man who will treat his wife as a Queen and give him the respect and both will be able to stay in their lane.

HOW SOCIETY UNRAVELED BECAUSE OF DIVORCE - In Reply on Matthew 5:31 - 4 years ago
It's not going to be easy for you. Jesus gave us an update on marriage and divorce in Matthew 5:31-33, Matthew 19:3-12.
1 Corinthians 7
The Marriage and Divorce chapter; and also the chapter that supports those that choose not to ever marry...to serve the Lord.
Once our society was able to buy televisions for the home; it was just a matter of time until Divorce Lawyers we're buying commercial spots to advertise and promote for divorce. And so the Age Of Split Up homes ensued. Who became adults in the 70's; and in 1973 abortion was legalized.
This was Satans plan all along to "kill" children emotionally or literally.
Mom and Dad remarry other people; then the children have FOUR people speaking into their lives and futures. See how fast and far things got messed up? By not obeying Gods Word on marriage and divorce ;Enter in the Gay generation: who now adopt or buy surrogates to get children for their family. All this because of God-less television and advertising.
Where is the Bible in our homes? On the coffee table, or in a bookcase collecting dust mites?
The only way for Christians to overcome that in their homes, is to be faithful to the "light" of understanding, that He has blessed us with. Hard as it is, we have to rededicate ourselves to God, through the forgiveness of Jesus Christ; and live a life that is pleasing to the Lord. Deny our passion for worldliness and Follow Jesus.
How do I know all of this? I experienced it myself. I cancelled the cable and put the Bible back in my life. It was hard at first, but gets easier ever day. If we'll take a stand for Jesus, it's less confusing for the kids. But you will log in many hours of prayer for those children who lived through it with you too.
Now we know how it happened. Now we can go forward with Jesus. If we don't, the danger of becoming Apostate is huge...and the kids too.
With meekness I say, Repent. Turn around and walk toward the Lord wholeheartedly.
Yes, I agree with your observation of these very popular ministers. Worldly possessions and money drive their false teachings.
Today, I believe Jesus would tell all of these ministers exactly what he told the young man in Matthew 19:21
"Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me." How many ministers do you know that would do this?
Trust Jesus here...
Matthew 7:15
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
Today, it's not only the large Mega church's, it is the majority of most church's that are NOT following accurate bible doctrine.
If the church's focus is more on tithes/money then I would run the other way.
Matthew 7:20-23
20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Follow the bible...and your heart! It will not let you down!
I ask for you to join with me in praying for my marriage. My wife has been in pursuit of another man for about a year and is going to pick up his daughter to get their nails done. She is trying to trick him into being with her claiming she is single. She has an online dating profile. I am praying for reconciliation, restoration, protection of our marriage, forgiveness and healing: Matthew 19:16, Hebrews 13:14, Colossians 3:13, Ephesians 4:31-32, Psalm 147:3, 1 Peter 3:8, Psalm 19:14, Psalm 18:30, Romans 12:10
Matthew 19:4-6 | KJV
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.
Ephesians 5:25-26 | KJV
Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
1 Corinthians 7:2 | KJV
And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
Genesis 2:18 | KJV
When a man hath taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war, neither shall he be charged with any business: but he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer up his wife which he hath taken.
Deuteronomy 24:5 | KJV
And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Little Children and the Rapture of the Church on Acts 2:41 - 4 years ago
Comment: clearly Jesus loves babies & little children and disabled in comprehension.
Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 7:11
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Matthew Chapter 18
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
AGE OF ACCOUNTABILITY
I think the best way to answer that is to say this: There is no "age of accountability" identified in Scripture, as such. There is nothing in the Bible that says, "Here is the age and from here on you are responsible!" I think the reason for that is because children mature at different paces. That would be true from culture to culture, and from age to age in history.
So the Lord in His wisdom didn't identify a specific moment. God knows when each soul is accountable. God knows when real rejection has taken place; when the love of sin exists in the heart. When enmity with God is conscious and willful. God alone knows when that occurs.
Comment: Jesus is going to take the little ones in the Rapture. He'll not leave them here to be used as bait for Antichrist's Mark of the Beast.
If you LOVE your kids; infants & older, everyone pray now to receive Jesus as Savior and Lord! Decide NOW. In the blink of an eye, is all we've got to make that decision. Put your most holy trust in Jesus.
No. He wasn't. In fact, he said in 2 Samuel 11:8, "and I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given thee such and such things."
In the very next verse, he makes it very clear that he was angry because David had "despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight" by having Uriah killed and taking his wife. This was the word of the LORD spoken by Nathan the prophet. But he probably wasn't too happy about David's committing adultery with her before that, either.
Neither the LORD (God, the Father) nor Jesus EVER condemned any man at any time for having more than one wife, although I'm sure there were plenty around that did, even in the time of Jesus. There are still polygamous marriages in some countries even today.
What Jesus said was that if a man put one wife away (divorced her) to marry another, except if she had committed fornication, he was guilty of adultery and causing her and any future husband she might have to commit adultery. You have to read all accounts of his discourse on divorce to see that he's talking about putting her away in order to marry another. These are found in Matthew 5:31&32, Matthew 19:9, Mark 10:11&12, and Luke 16:18. So we see that, if a man had five wives, he was okay, but he could not put one away so that he could marry another. Perhaps this meant so he could afford to marry another. I don't know. But he could put her away for fornication. Why didn't he say adultery? Because adultery carried an automatic death sentence in those days. No divorce was necessary.
Too, Mark 10:12 shows that a woman could also put away her husband, but was under the same rules as the man pertaining to divorce.
Which commandments does Christ ask us to follow if we love Him and we are His friends, John 14:15,15:14? The rich young ruler who came to Christ seeking to know what he should do to gain eternal life, Christ read from the decalogue, Matthew 19:16-22. The only commandment the young ruler found hard to keep was loving God with all his heart, might, and soul, Deuteronomy 6:5 which even us find hard to keep. The human nature is of sin and what we do best is sin and doing good by God is something foreign to us, Romans 7:14-16, Read Romans chapter 7
Do you think that the ten commandments are supposed to be kept?
Is there anywhere in the Bible where you find the doctrine you have upheld?

Dennis A. Coley- Eye of the Needle of Matthew 19:24
In ancient times, (and up to only a few hundred years ago) would be a needle gate on the side of the main gate of a city.
The reason for this is mainly night time travel.
Main gate closed at night for obvious protection, which would make sense.
The traveler would have to unload the camel to fit through the gate. A way for the guard to check the person's belongings, again, which would make sense.
Because of the building and rebuilding of Jerusalem and the area, it is difficult to know whether these gates were used at the time of Jesus or before that, but I don't see why not.
I believe that the lesson of the parable has to do with ill-gotten gains; as a "rich man" that has become rich due to sin and must unload his sins and get right with Christ before he can fit through the little gate. If he was rich because of blessings there is no sin.
Matthew 7:13-14
"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
Alone we can accomplish nothing good. With Christ, anything is possible!
Are you alluding to Matthew 19:24 where Jesus says "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God?" I have heard of people mentioning such a gate and saying that this was the gate Jesus was referring to in Matthew 19:24.
This was a common proverb in Jesus' day. It originated in Palestine. And it originated with not a camel, but an elephant, that it is easier for an elephant to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into heaven. By the time it gets to Jerusalem it changed to a camel, and it expresses impossibility.
Some people have said over the years, and I used to believe this also, that the eye of a needle is the gate into the city of Jerusalem. And in the evening time when the large gates close, they keep this little tiny gate open, and it is called the eye of the needle. So that if you bring your camel in, you got to unload him and everything, and you got to push him through, and stuff him through this little hole if you want to get in.
Well, the problem was that as I did some historical research on this, and those gates did not exist at the time of Jesus, not for another 60 years after. So that is not what it is implying here. In fact, Matthew's word is actually a sewing needle. Luke, in his account, used a physician's needle. And you can imagine why with Luke being a physician.
And that is literally what it means. The proverb is meant to express impossibility. If this is not what you are referring to, please disregard.
Matthew 19:27-28 The Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the 12 tribes of Israel. (How will the saints judge the 12 tribes? Because there will still be flesh and blood beings on earth when the Lord returns).
Revelation 21:1-3 (this is the Father coming down with New Jerusalem) John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Revelation 21:10 John was shown the great city, the holy Jerusalem descending out of heaven from God.
Revelation 6:1-8; 12-17 Takes place during the tribulation on earth, but also speaks of Jesus AFTER the tribulation and the wrath he will bring on earth. (Reference Isaiah 2:10 and Isaiah speaks of this event in Revelation 6)
Revelation 7:1-4. 9; 13-14 the Lord will seal his servants in their foreheads. 144,000 of all the tribes of Israel. He will also save a "great multitude" which no man could number of "all" nations. (These are the people who survived the Great Tribulation, some who will have gotten converted during the tribulation)
Matthew 24:29-31 Immediately after the tribulation the Lord returns.
Revelation 19:11-14;19-21 Heaven will open, Jesus will show up on a white horse. He will judge and make war.
I know that's a lot. I hope that you will read through the scriptures on your own time.
But know this, there will only be a 3 and a half year actual tribulation period, and anyone who is alive during that time will have to try and survive it, unless they are in the place of safety on earth which the Lord will have reserved for his people...and that place is the Wilderness over in Jerusalem.
This is where the Greek text gives clarification to the word good. In Matthew 19:16-17, it says And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
Now the word good in this verse is the Greek word AGATHOS. AGATHOS in English means good. But there are different Greek words for the term good.
This particular word AGATHOS is the good of God. It's the good that the Holy Spirit produces. When Jesus went about doing good, He didn't do KALOS, which is humanitarian good. He went around doing AGATHOS. That is, He was touching people's souls, their spirits.
When this man comes up to Jesus, he says, Good teacher. He didn't say KALOS, like we would use today if we were to say he or she is a good teacher.
This man is saying AGATHOS, good. What AGATHOS, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?
And He said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
So, in Verse 17, the first thing Jesus says to him is, why did you call me AGATHOS? There is none AGATHOS but one, and that is, God.
So Jesus is saying, do you realize you just called me God? Do you know why you called me that?
We see the word good in English and it means one thing to us which causes confusion because we know there are good people. However, in the Greek text, the word Agathos was used which can only be applied to the good of God. Human good is Kalos. But this man called Jesus Agathos. What I notice is that Jesus didn't correct this man and say you can't call me that. Why? Because Jesus is God. Jesus said there is none Agathos but God, and you just called me Agathos. This man knew exactly who Jesus was. What a great confession!

According to the bible, you wouldn't be considered married to your husband, because of the adultery on your end. Your adultery freed him from his oath.
Matthew 19:9 - And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
Therefore, avoid fornication on both parts, you both will need to stay single in purity or remarry each other.

Irene, I'm sad to read of your son's situation & unhappiness. Many of the world in this situation would do what they think is right for them & go on to remarry & hopefully be happy again. But since you're seeking Scriptural guidance on this, I see that the Lord & the apostle Paul were very clear on this issue as pertaining to God's view on marriage.
Jesus spoke about this in Matthew 19:3-9. Jesus first gives the meaning of marriage: that it is a binding act since these individual people have come together in marriage & have become 'one flesh'. This means that God doesn't recognize divorce as those two have become one flesh by their act of commitment & consummation. Then Paul spoke in 1 Cor 7:10-11, that if one departs (divorces) from the other, then they should remain in the state of singleness (this applied to both husband & wife, even though the instruction was given for the woman). For if they should remarry, then they break the covenant made towards the holy gift of marriage. For this reason, apart from turning to Christ for salvation, the decision for marriage remains so important a step to embark on.
If your son is a believer, then God understands his situation & will give Him sufficient Grace to keep on the path of obedience to remain single for His sake.
Trannys know what the Bible says: Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Remember, Matthias replaced Judas as a discipline, so still 12.
13 Gavest thou the goodly wings unto the peacocks? or wings and feathers unto the ostrich?
14 Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust,
15 And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.
16 She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not hers: her labour is in vain without fear;

Are all marriages ordained of God? No. There are many people who can legally marry someone. That does not make the union "Holy" it makes it legal. It So yes anyone can be divorced legally. Being married in church or by clergy does not make the union holy its's legal. i
Believers
First is the man/woman saved by the shed blood of the Lamb Of God Jesus Christ will show forth fruit of the relationship.
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelivers. Do not be associated with anyone that one that does not believe.

God Bless.
and obtaineth favour of the Lord.

Deuteronomy 24:5 | KJV
And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Matthew 7:11

Men may have to eat a few deadly meatloafs, but there will be peace in the home. :D. (AllrecipesDotCom)

Do you think that the ten commandments are supposed to be kept?
Is there anywhere in the Bible where you find the doctrine you have upheld?
Do you think that the ten commandments are supposed to be kept?

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
