Then attempt to correct me. After salvation through repentance, God instructs us to cease from sin. You are then saying you need to correct God's word for falsely claiming we can cease our sins. I suppose Romans 6:1,2 is false in stating that God forbids we continue in sin. The reality and truth is that you must stop sinning after salvation or you are unsaved still. Later in this book, 1 John 3:8 tells us that those that sin are of the devil also known as Satan.

What of Matthew 1:21 He shall save them from sin. How can we be saved from sin if we continue to do it? The answer is you can't. God is not accepting those that are actively sinning into His kingdom or Heaven. In the beginning, Adam and Eve were expelled from the garden of Eden for their sin. Any that sins in the present tense is not in the kingdom of God. And living free from sin after repentance is possible through God's power not ours. Last thing, repentance is sorrow and gaining God's forgiveness from sins in the past, not ever for the present or future. If you sin presently, God's forgiving grace is voided by your disobedience. And if you harbor desire to sin in the future, God sees your intents and will not accept your repentance.

Half of his life is do to the Holy Spirit, which is of God the Creator. And the other half of His life was human, the son of Mary. He was human, just like you and me. (well, not really like you or me. hopefully you know what I mean,)

    On MATTHEW 9:16,17

By nature every person is born in sin through the sinful seed of their natural fathers and conditioned therein ( 1 Peter 1:23). For that reason and in order to become a son of God, which are born of God, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God, a person must be 'Born Again' ( John 1:12,13; 3:3-7; 1 John 3:9; 5:4).

By attending a man-made institution a few hours a week ( Acts 7:48; 17:24), does not mean that a person can make a claim that they are followers of Christ and 'Born Again'. That is falsehood, as in truth they follow after an image of a false god and a false Christ ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; Rev. 12:9). This is how Satan has transformed Himself into an angel of light ( 2 Cor. 11:13-15).

Only through 'True Repentance' will God be able to reveal Himself, and adopt you as His sons and daughters ( Rom. 8:15,23; 2 Cor.6:18; Gal. 4:5; Eph. 1:5; Hebr. 12:5; 1 John 3:1).

The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It actually means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18).

For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' of what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom mankind has been deceived ( Rev. 12:9), and what people must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ( John 14:17).

You need not that any man teach you ( Isaiah 54:13; 6:45; 1 John 2:27), It is only by revelation of God that you will come to know Christ ( Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1). It is a narrow way that leadeth unto 'Life', and few there be that find it ( Matthew 7:14).

About the Inquistion that may have put many people to death for their Holy and Loving Faith, many testimonies are recorded in the Martyrs Mirror. Menno Simmons, Dietrich Philips, Claus Ganloff, Peter Twisk, ( I am not sure of the spellings here at work) have confessions of faith well recorded that do not agree that repentance is a process from birth. The only process from birth is learning that some day our sins will come into account and be ready for that call like Samuel. Read these confessions for yourself. Prove their spirit.

When I have time I will quote some for you all.

Did you know? Dr. Ivan Panin (1855 - 1942) discovered a numeric structure (Heptatic - Seven-fold) in the GREEK version of Matthew 1:1-11.

The following features of the number seven (7) are found in the first eleven verses:

The number of WORDS (49) are exactly (no remainder) divisible by 7.

The number of LETTERS (266) are exactly divisible by 7.

The number of VOWELS (140) are exactly divisible by 7.

The number of CONSONANTS (126) are exactly divisible by 7.

The number of WORDS THAT BEGIN WITH A VOWEL (28) are exactly divisible by 7.

The number of WORDS THAT END WITH A VOWEL (7) are exactly divisible by 7.

The number of WORDS THAT BEGIN WITH A CONSONANT (21) are exactly divisible by 7.

The number of WORDS THAT END WITH A CONSONANT (42) are exactly divisible by 7.

The number of WORDS THAT OCCUR MORE THAN ONCE (35) are exactly divisible by 7.

The number of WORDS THAT OCCUR IN MORE THAN ONE FORM (7) are exactly divisible by 7.

The number of NOUNS (42) are exactly divisible by 7.

The number of WORDS THAT ARE NOT NOUNS (7) are exactly divisible by 7.

The number of NAMES (35) are exactly divisible by 7.

Only seven (7) OTHER KINDS OF NOUNS.

The number of MALE NAMES (28) are exactly divisible by 7.

The number of GENERATIONS (21) are exactly divisible by 7.

Probably you've heard that Jesus is God incarnate, i.e. God come in the flesh. We believe in the one God, the Creator of all things, the Holy One of Israel. Beside Him there is no other god. God in His Eternal Existence reveals Himself to man as the Word of God & the Spirit of God. And this God in His Fullness (i.e. His Deity) we read in 1 John 5:7: "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

In Galatians 4:4, 5: "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons." So, God Himself by His Word came to His people. You remember how God had given his words to Israel by the mouth of the prophets?

Those days have now finished for God did something new: ( Hebrews 1:1-3), "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS PERSON, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high".

God, the Word, was made man & He would be called Immanuel ( Isaiah 7:14) & "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. ( Matthew 1:23). "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." ( Matthew 1:21).

Not only did God appoint His Son (His Word in the Flesh) to bring His Message, but also to give His Life for our sins. As Thomas finally exclaimed, "My Lord and my God" & he wasn't rebuked by Jesus.

The Holy Spirit is God himself, the Third Person in the Holy Trinity. One reason why Jesus had to die is because after his death, 50 days later at the Festival of Pentecost, the Spirit descended upon the Disciples. At that point in time the New Testament Church was born. The presence of the Holy Spirit in a Christian's life is a Gift from God. The Holy Spirit guides, matures, protects, comforts, and bestows Spiritual Gifts to the Sons and Daughters of God.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is NONE OTHER NAME under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in MY NAME, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus is God is not a figure of speech 1 Timothy 3:16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. GOD WITH US.

Genesis 1:26 - And God said, Let US make man in our image, after OUR likeness

Genesis 1:27 - So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 9:6 - Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

So IF one man is Body, Soul and Spirit which is 3 parts and God made man in HIS IMAGE

How many parts is God? 3? a Godhead? or trinity?

  • DOUBLE MINDEDNESS - In Reply on Isaiah 13:10 - 4 years ago
Minded: means that is what you have purposed in your mind. Double minded means you have a conflict in your mind.

    Examples>

    James 1:8

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

    James 4:8

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

    Romans 8:6

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

    Philippians 3:15

Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

    2 Corinthians 1:15

    And in this confidence I was minded to come unto you before, that ye might have a second benefit;

    Titus 2:6

Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

    Matthew 1:19

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

    Galatians 5:10

I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

    2 Corinthians 1:17

When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose accordingly.

It's about getting the mind of Christ before we do or say anything.

Be aware of who is speaking in your mind: the Holy Spirit? You? The flesh? Satan?

    The spirit of this world?

I believe God is leading me....I mean right now as I speak these words here, He's using me to draw Eric closer to His bussom, so that Eric and I both can change for the better, to have a more closer and personal relationship with Him. Things aren't perfect and God doesn't expect us to be perfect either. It's time for us to live better righteous lives now.
