From the beginning of Paul's letters, all the way through to the end of Revelation, that is 63 years of church history. So, if you want to know in 63 years of the early church history, with all of the apostles there, and all of the apostles who have their testimony, why in 63 years of church history didn't Paul or anybody else teach that new teaching that some person just told you about? It's because it is not in the word and it is not God's word.
INTRODUCTION TO THE GOSPELS
I. The Synoptic Gospels
The word Synoptic comes from the Greek word SUNOPSIS, and it means "to view together."
A. Matthew
Matthew wrote his gospel in five sections. Most Jewish writers did this in order to lineup with the first five books of the bible, the Torah, or Law. So, Matthew wrote his gospel in five sections.
Matthew's gospel was written to the Jews. It was written to present Jesus as the coming Savior/Messiah. Notice I said "Savior/Messiah?" The Jews were not just expecting the Messiah, but they were expecting the Messiah to come as a Savior.
We see in Matthew 1:21 that it says, "And she shall bring forth a Son, (the angel said this about Mary), and thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins." That's what the Jews believed, that when the Messiah would come, He would save His people from their sins.
Matthew is presenting Jesus as the fulfillment of the coming Savior/Messiah. Matthew ends with the resurrection. It is all good Jewish literature. All Jews hold to a resurrection. So, Matthew ends his book with a resurrection.
Hello Chowell2. From what you've written, I'm assuming that this person you mentioned sees that God & Jesus must be two distinct persons, since one is Spirit & the other Flesh (i.e. as a regular human being). So if this is the case, then the Divine & the human cannot unite, refuting the belief that they are one, or united in any way.
In the first instance, I would direct you to Matthew 1:18-25, which speaks of this 'Divine Birth'. The question one should ask from this passage is: 'how did this Baby named Jesus, come to be born into the world?' Your contact could well say, that He was born as any human baby is born, by human fertilization, development in the womb, & then entrance into the world. But look at verse 18: before Joseph could have sexual intimacy with his wife, Mary was found with child, not because of any unfaithfulness by her to Joseph, but that God had placed in her this Divine Seed by the Power of His Holy Spirit. And then in verse 23, Jesus' Birth was in fulfillment of prophecy that a virgin would miraculously bring forth a Son & He would be called (i.e. by his title), Emmanuel. And this Name means, God with us.
This passage alone should convince anyone that this birth was an extraordinary one. There has never been any person born into the world that would come as Jesus did, because Jesus' Birth was directly executed by God: God taking His Word, sending His Word into the World by clothing Himself (God's Word) with the flesh of man ( John 1:1-14) - for the purpose of sacrifice for our sins. Yes, Jesus was fully Human as we are, but we are the product of our parents - Jesus came from God's Own Person & not from humans ( John 17:5, "...O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was"). So yes, Jesus was "the only begotten" & also called "the Son of Man" which indicates His Humanity, but the question, 'what was Jesus' origin, given the Scriptures about His Divine Nature & His Works?'
2 To make an end of sins (Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law). The verb in the Hebrew text translated as "put an end to" can mean "to seal up". The covering of our sins was accomplished on the cross at Calvary. When he said IT IS FINISHED, he provided us with the garments (wedding garments) to cover our sins. Psalm 32:1-2Matthew 1:21John 1:29Romans 8:31 Corinthians 15:3Hebrews 10:8-111 John 3:5Revelation 16:15.
Is there still sin today? Yes. Will there still be sin and death after Jesus's second coming? Yes. Even during the 1000 years, there will be sin and death until all is made new Rev. 21:1-4 but through Jesus, they are covered and sealed, Rev. 16:15
3 To make reconciliation for iniquity (Reconciliation is an element of salvation that refers to the results of the atonement, iniquity is guilt, crookedness, perverseness, that which is not straight or upright, moral distortion, in the dark. Colossians 1:20-22Isaiah 53:6Isaiah 53:11Ephesians 2:16Titus 2:142 Corinthians 5:18-19.
The word reconcile means to bring back to a former state of harmony Jesus reconciled both Jew and Gentile unto God in one body by the cross and now through Jesus we both Jew and Gentile have access by one Spirit unto the Father no more strangers or foreigners but fellow citizens. Making reconciliation for iniquity concerns our involvement in the work of salvation.
4 To bring in everlasting righteousness. Everlasting, no end, righteousness, justice, mercy, loving-kindness, in conformity to the demands of the covenant and according to God's will, fair and balanced. Isaiah 61:10-112 Corinthians 5:21Romans 3:21-26Romans 5:17-211 Peter 2:24.
Thanks for your timeline and I appreciate how you and I can present our view and keep it peacefully and yet have entirely different views.
I also have the start of Jesus ministry around the same time based off John 4:17-21.
I don't agree with Jesus being anointed by the Holy Spirit at his baptism.
Nowhere in Scripture do we find Him being the recipient of the baptism with the Holy Spirit. On the contrary, Jesus is the one who baptizes others with the Holy Spirit. John 1:33.
Jesus baptism was symbolic of His entrance into His public ministry into the OT priesthood TO FULFILL ALL RIGHTEOUSNESS.
At about thirty years of age, He was ceremonially washed with water and then set apart for that ministry. This set Him apart to do the work for which He had been called to do.
This is the same way the Old Testament priests began their service. They had to be at least thirty years of age, they were ceremonially washed with water and then they were anointed with oil on their head.
Messiah means "anointed one". The promised deliverer of the Jewish nation.
John identified him as the Messiah, but he didn't make him the Messiah.
Jesus was the Messiah at birth.
Luke 2:10-11.
Luke 2:34-38.
Matthew 1:20-21.
Ronald you authenicate your view of the begining of the 70th wee started because Andrew told Simon they have found the Messiah, and Philip told Nathanael and the demons knew who he was and so on.
But many knew who he was at birth and as a child!
Here is just one example Matthew 2:1.
The key is when did Jesus present his self as king? Not only that he arranged it.
Matthew 21:2.
Any other time they tried to make them king he wouldn't allow it.
Questions as to why specific writings became 'apocrypha' and subsequently removed from the original KJV is simply that content therein cemented the foundation of the word giving greater understanding. A time for everything and everything has a time.

If you read from Genesis to Revelation their is a common theme. The Promise seed Genesis 3:15, Israel Gods chosen people , The coming one the messiah, Israel's disobedience and captivity, Jehovah ( Psalm 83:18) mercy and delivering his people from captivity because they repented. Even the book of Ruth played a part in the symbolic descendant role in the promise seed
Matthew 1:5.
How does the book of Esther add up? this book talks about Jews being in Shushan. The Jews were always in captivity by their enemies for their deliberate disobedience to Jehovah- Nehemiah 13:23-31; Esther 2:6 (Exile). Esther didn't have a choice; she was in exile or in captivity as while and taken to the kings house- Esther 2:8. Jehovah god blessed this situation because they relied on him when Haman tried to scheme or plot to destroy all the Jews Esther 3:5-15. This book is accurate because it matches the other books regarding Jews being in captivity or exile.
When you read the apocrypha does it match the bibles overall theme? does this puzzle pieces match?
1. ( Luke 1:16-17) "And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord"
John's ministry apart from revealing the Savior to the Jews was to teach people to obey God's commandments (the OT ones), hence the "to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord"
People came by and asked him what to do, Luke 3:7-18, (the people, the publicans and the soldiers). Note v18 " And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.".
Of course perfection came with Jesus but there were people in OT that strived to live according to God's Will. The scriptures call those people "righteous". An OT type of righteousness, not like of course the type of perfection in NT. Like Joshef in Matthew 1:19, "Then Joseph her husband, being a JUST man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.". Also Zacharias and Elisabeth in Luke 1:6, "And they were both RIGHTEOUS before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless."
So John with his teaching led people to repentance for their sins (what they knew in OT). John could not introduce the Savior to people who live and enjoy a sinful life. It was needed to become "clean" (the type of OT "cleanliness") first and then he led them to Jesus. He prepared their hearts to receive Jesus.
God is logical, He does not act in strange, abnormal ways. We often think that He is not logical because we don't understand Him and His plans. But He is logical. He knows how to approach people, every single one according to their own peculiaritiy.
But at that time the repentance and the subsequent remission of sins was done in baptism, in public.
I think you are misunderstanding what I am saying. I don't think I ever said that the end-time prophecies are only for the Jews. There will be both Jews and Gentiles on this earth during the tribulation period. What I am saying, and I will try and be a little more specific, but at the time Jesus was speaking those words in Matthew Chapter 24, H was speaking of end-time events, but He was speaking specifically to His disciples (Jewish believers). The church had not yet been established at the time Jesus spoke those words.
In Matthew 1:1, as Jesus was leaving the Jewish temple, His disciples (Jewish men), they came to Him asking three questions ( Matthew 1:3). And then beginning at Verse 4 and going through to the end of the chapter, Jesus answers their three questions. He is speaking specifically to these men who asked Him those questions. That is what I am saying when I said He was speaking to the Jews. I did not say that last day prophecy is only for the Jews. Those were not my words.
Now, I thought I had already answered your question in a previous post when I said that "I agreed with you that Jesus covered things that will happen during the end times." So, to answer your question is Matthew 24 prophecy for the last days? My answer is yes, except for the prophecy concerning the destruction of the temple at the beginning of the chapter which happened in 70 AD.
If you are referring to the 7-year tribulation period as the last days, then yes, Jesus covers that in Matthew Chapter 24. Whether we choose to call it the last days or end-time prophecy, I'm okay with calling it whichever one you choose. Personally, I believe we have been living in the last days for some 2,000 years now ( Hebrews 1:1-2).
The "now" does not always mean "at this present time" as you take it to mean in John 18:36. It is also used as an interjectory word as in Matthew 1:18 "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise:" Matthew was not saying that Jesus was being born at that present time he wrote this gospel. In the same way, Jesus, after saying once that His kingdom was not of this world, He reiterates what He just said using the word "now" in the same way as Matthew did in Matthew 1:18.
Matthew chapter 23 is a very powerful indictment against the religious leaders in Jesus's day . Any of us , who put ourselves in the position of any kind of biblical instructor should also be taking note of this chapter and applying Christ's warnings , to ourselves. The Word of God is the most precious thing , we all must handle it very carefully as we shall answer to our Heavenly Father .
Do not worry! The Lord never gives us more than we can handle. You will overcome. God has chosen us before the foundation of the world. He does NOT make mistake in choosing us. He does NOT fail. Continue to pray. If possible find someone who loves you to keep you in his/her prayer. I am praying too. Courage and rely solely on HIS grace. Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: an it rained not on the earth by the space of three yeas and six months. ( James 5:17). This Gospel works and God always delivers for His children.
Jeremiah 22 is dealing these Kings and rulers. He warned them about the way they were getting rich and not feeding the flock.
Verses 13-17 we have a Warning about Jehoiakim
"Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;
That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion.
Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him?"
He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him: was not this to know me? saith the LORD.
But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.
Jeremiah 23:1-2 Picks back up on that criticism.
Jeremiah 23:3-7 tells that there is better days ahead.
In the Millennium kingdom the Lord "The Chief Shepherd" and "king of kings" will set on the throne and rule his kingdom.
I concur with Gigi you see Christ rebuttal of the rulers this in Matthew 23 and Luke 11:37-54. and you'll find more of what Christ has to say about the Kingdom in Matthew 13.
Michael Jer 23 is a prophecy written for the times we live in today, in many verses in that chapter the Lord speaks of people not keeping, not teaching, and even stealing and changing His Words. And the LORD is against these prophets in whom He says prophesy lies, and they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart. Jer 23:16 says they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD. Jer 23:36 Tells us they (perverted) the words of the living God. The word (perverted) is #2015; it means to change. ALL modern version Bibles have (changed) the Words of the living God!
Jeremiah 22 is dealing these Kings and rulers. He warned them about the way they were getting rich and not feeding the flock.
"Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;
That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion.
Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him?
God's Word is full if warnings about the teachings and work's of man.
The only TRUE pastor of the sheep is Christ.
THE WAY is Christ.
We have to UNDERSTAND and BELIEVE what Christ's resurrection ACCOMPLISHED.
YOU DIED on the cross with Christ.
YOU were resurrected with Christ; A NEW CREATION, there was ONLY ONE BODY that was resurrected 2000 years AGO, that BODY was Christ, you SHARED that resurrection with Christ, YOU ALSO became the BODY of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:27 .... You are the body of Christ .....
Colossians 1:27 ..... this MYSTERY (of the resurrection) .....Christ IN YOU ......
You and Christ became ONE at that resurrection, Christ is now the LIFE in YOU: your HIS BODY.
He is the SHEPHERD of YOUR BODY your body does what the shepherd wants it to do, because Christ is the LIFE in YOU.
Philippians 2:13 For it is GOD that worketh in you (the new creation) both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.
This truth has to become REAL in YOU; as this TRUTH becomes REAL TO YOU, you WILL SEE with different eyes.
Psalms 116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the DEATH of his saints.
You have to BELIEVE God' s word: you DIED: only CHRIST exist, you share that by BEING HIS BODY.
Until then, you body is being lead by by whats described in Jeremiah 23:1-4
1 Timothy 6:16 Christ ONLY hath IMMORTALIY, dwelling in the light ....
1 Corinthians 15 ... this mortal (YOU) shall PUT ON IMMORALITY ..... death is swallowed up in VICTORY .....
You caught up, raptured, translated, into THE PRESENCE of GOD, to forever be the IMAGE of CHRIST, a SON OF GOD.
The "shepherds" of Jesus' day were the priests, scribes, Pharisees, Sadducees, and the Sanhedrin, all religious leaders for the Jews in Jerusalem.
Jesus denounced them strongly again and again in his interactions with them saying they were leading these people sinfully. You can read of this in Matthew 23. Luke 11:37-54.
Jane, You have been seduced by false doctrine. There is no lillith and there was no sex in the garden of eden. These are doctrines of devils to seduce people to believe lies. You need to repent of any sin and I pray if you have an unclean spirit it come out of you in the name of Jesus. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. May god the father reveal the truth to you through the power of his holy spirit. God please deliver Jane from these lies. These are vile and filthy lies from satan and I rebuke them in the name of Jesus Christ.
so there was 42 generations from Abram to CHRIST .2. things i want to know ,how long was it from Adam to Abram? 2. how long from Christ to the present?
Hello Edward. That's a good question, but the answer to it becomes clear when we examine the Character & Names of Jesus.
What you read in Matthew 1:23 "...they shall call his name Emmanuel...", is taken from Isaiah 7:14, where God gives a prophetical word to wicked King Ahaz of Judah, "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."
Does this verse in Isaiah in conflict with Matthew 1:25, "And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS?" When we study the names or titles attributed to Jesus, such as Immanuel, we learn that there is significance in giving each of these names. For example, the prophecy in Isaiah 9:6, tells us, "unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Here is a whole list of names attributed to the coming Jesus & though they are descriptive of the Character & Work of this One from Glory, I don't believe that anyone ever used those names, even in the Greek, when speaking to Jesus.
Likewise, when the prophecy was given in Isaiah 7:14, it was about the Name that Jesus' Coming would bring, i.e. Immanuel, or in Hebrew, 'with us is God'. And of course, this ties in beautifully with Isaiah 9:6, that Jesus IS the Mighty God (i.e. He not only comes from God, but out of God's Being, wholly Divine, & in His incarnation, wholly Human).
And you could look up Jeremiah 23:5,6 & see two other Names by which Jesus is identified: the Righteous Branch & The LORD our Righteousness (in Heb. Yahweh Sid-qenu), i.e. God's Name attributed to His Son Jesus, the Christ.
So, Jesus is His Name (in Heb. Yehoshua, or Joshua): the LORD is Salvation, but He can have many Names attributed to Him, each one depicting Who He is, and Immanuel is just one Name given to Him.
In Matthew 1:21 the angel says to name him JESUS, but in Matthew 23 the prophecy from isaiah says that he shall be called Emanuael. why the different names?
The creation in the first chapters of Genesis is both an act at that time and a prophecy of a second creation at Christ resurrection.
God MADE man from dust, breathed life into him and man became a living BODY, with a carnal mind.
Romans 8:20 For the creature was MADE subject to vanity, NOT WILLINGLY .....
When Christ was RESURRECTED, we became a NEW CREATION.
In Adam the LIFE was in the BLOOD, that life can DIE by the spilling of the BLOOD.
In Christ; LIFE is in the SPIRIT, it's IMMORTAL, spirit can't die.
Psalms 104:30 Thou sendest forth thy SPIRIT, they are CREATED: and thou renewest the face of the earth.
Christ is also called ADAM.
1 Corinthians 15:45 ...The first man Adam was made a living BODY; the last (man) Adam was made a quicking SPIRIT.
Genesis 5:2 Male and Female CREATED he them; and blessed them, and callled THEIR NAME ADAM (Christ), in the day they were CREATED (I am the resurrection; THE NEW CREATION, the exactness of Christ).
We are BAPTISED in HIS NAME, the new creation.
Jeremiah 7:11 In MY HOUSE, which is called by MY NAME ....
Hebrews 3: Christ as a son over HIS OWN HOUSE, whose HOUSE WE ARE ....
Ephesians .....ONE BODY ......ONE SPIRIT ......
Ephesians 4:4 ..... ONE GOD .... Father of ALL ....above ALL .....through ALL ....and IN YOU ALL .....
Thank you Jane and dear this was a lot in a few sentences. Far too high a level for me, if I may say so. Could you please give us a slightly clearer impression. Because your questions are of interest to several people, I think.
I can give you an answer to one. His likeness is the person we will come to and become as we walk with Jesus Christ. His parable is like Sanctification. We therefore have a body in (God's image) Jesus Christ as a model on earth on holiness, Because He was pure from the beginning.
And we live in the realm of the Holy Spirit where nothing should be secret or hidden. Everything is obvious for all those who see it. Some people never see it, unfortunately. And those who do not accept Him will see it in the end, but the question then is: Did they accept it and it was too late. We have a dark world and a Light world. We must choose sides in the living. After that, it's too late.
We must leave this entirely to God the Father Himself and His counsel. We cannot and must not judge anyone in this life. Let the Lord's will be done on Earth, Amen.
Romans 10 chapter. Take care, and stay strong in Gods word.

One world leader, one world order, one world currency soon to be fully run on allowing only those genetically modified under the new technology to be a citizen of the beast system. The Bible has already prophesied all of this, we are in the end days. Wake up to the truth in Christ and find peace in knowing this world is a lie, and what awaits those who reject the poison and endure to the end is everlasting life.
Six things determined upon Daniel's people and the holy city.
Part 3
To make an end of sins.
To make an end; as put an end to/make an end to, affix a seal, to seal up, a document is rolled up and sealed with wet clay. The signet ring of the owner bears the image of his seal and is pressed into the clay. This is what was done by the Holy Spirit, 2 Cor. 1:22Eph. 1:132 Tim. 2:19.
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. Sin reaches for things, such as safety, knowledge, peace, happiness, and pleasure. Nevertheless, behind the act of good, sin ultimately creates a confrontation between obedience and rebellion. If not in faith, it is sin.
The covering of our sins was accomplished on the cross at Calvary. When he said IT IS FINISHED, he provided us with the garments (wedding garments) to cover our sins. Sin has not completely stopped yet but it is covered by the blood of Jesus and sealed by the Holy Spirit.
This passage points toward the Messiah who died because of our sins. In Jesus's death, punishment for our sins is paid for. Jesus's death we are dead to sin. Walking in the Spirit meant that we are trusting in Christ by faith to be made right before God, and not trusting in the law.
Whenever Paul speaks about walking after the flesh, it is in the context of trying to be made right before God by the law, which is equivalent to self-righteousness. I believe the prophecy is fulfilled in Jesus Christ and if we are in Jesus Christ, it is fulfilled for us. Praise God that Jesus Christ made an end of sins! As Jesus said from the cross, "It is finished!"
Part 2
2 To make an end of sins (Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law). The verb in the Hebrew text translated as "put an end to" can mean "to seal up". The covering of our sins was accomplished on the cross at Calvary. When he said IT IS FINISHED, he provided us with the garments (wedding garments) to cover our sins. Psalm 32:1-2 Matthew 1:21 John 1:29 Romans 8:3 1 Corinthians 15:3 Hebrews 10:8-11 1 John 3:5 Revelation 16:15.
Colossians 1:20-22 Isaiah 53:6 Isaiah 53:11 Ephesians 2:16 Titus 2:14 2 Corinthians 5:18-19.
Isaiah 61:10-11 2 Corinthians 5:21 Romans 3:21-26 Romans 5:17-21 1 Peter 2:24.

John 6:15.
Let's revisit Daniel 9.
See part 2.

When you read the apocrypha does it match the bibles overall theme? does this puzzle pieces match?
does it complete the whole picture?
I hope this answers your question. Thank you
Hello Spencer
(Part 1):
OOPS I sent that off by mistake.
I wasn't done.
Jeremiah 22 is dealing these Kings and rulers. He warned them about the way they were getting rich and not feeding the flock.
Verses 13-17 we have a Warning about Jehoiakim
"Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;
That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion.
God bless
Jeremiah 22 is dealing these Kings and rulers. He warned them about the way they were getting rich and not feeding the flock.

God Bless YOU!
God Bless YOU!

1:22 Eph. 1:13 2 Tim.
Psalm 32:1 Matthew 1:21 Matthew 22:11-13 John 1:29 John 3:5 Acts 5:31 Romans 3:25 Romans 8:3 Hebrews 9:26 Hebrews 10:8-12 1 Corinthians 15:3 1 John 3:5-6 Revelation 16:15

The Father of Joseph, Mary's Husband Was Jacob
( Matthew 1:16)
The Father of Mary's Was Heli ( Luke 3:23
Mary's husband, Joseph, traced his "family tree" back to King David, through Solomon
Mary's father, Heli (or Eli), could trace his family back to Nathan, the second surviving son of David through Bathsheba
both Joseph's and Mary's lineages could be traced back to King David
