Jesus transforms life and gives peace to all that believes and accepts him. Absence of peace in a believer 's life shows that one has not fully yielded to the savior. Thanks be to God for his immeasurable grace to all that believes.

Hello Mike Kocsis In addition to my post, I hope will come out before this one. This would make this one make more sense. I would like to correct the spelling of the word lineage in my post. Also punctuation marks sometimes do not come out, therefore so that you will know, Hezon is Esrom and Ram is Aram.
  • Evangelist Chatauna Robinson on Matthew 1 - 10 years ago
Hello Mike kocsis I am not understanding the nature of your question. The Bible also mentions 4 women in Jesus Christ linage. There is a significant reason why they are mentioned. However, could it be because they were twins that both boys are mentioned? It also mentions the mother of these twins Thamar Tamar . Then it separates them letting you know that Jesus Christ linage continued under Phares. Phares begot Hezon Esrom and Hamul. Esrom begot Ram Aram . The linage continues through to Mary and then Jesus Christ.

Hello Amin, RNM, and Jumba Half of the genealogy for Jesus Christ can be traced through his mother Mary, because she was human. However, God is Alpha and Omega. He is the beginning of all life and creation therefore there is no genealogy for him. He create genealogy. Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh. He is God all by himself, 1 Timothy 3 16,And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
  • Jumba on Matthew 1 - 10 years ago
He came in human form yet He is God. How humble you are my LORD
  • RNM MATT CHP 1 on Matthew 1 - 10 years ago
GOD 's order is perfect and complete, just like the sin offerings in the old sacrificial system, the animals had to be spot and blemish free, the same was with the LAMB of GOD 'S lineage, PURE, SPOT and BLEMISH free and GOD was able to make that happen. So for those who try to bring GOD down to our level of infallibility, Please just give it a rest. AMEN, and AMEN
  • Peter on Matthew 1 - 10 years ago
thank God for hope and open doors and save my sol
  • RNM CHP MATT 1 on Matthew 1 - 10 years ago
So what is your point Amin, your comment does not make any sense whatsoever, other than your disdain for GOD 's word, which is evident!!! besides the genealogy that is in reference to, is that of his earthly Mother Mary.

Interesting..a man who has no genealogy! You give him 55 father and grandfather, and God who is supposed to be his father is not there ?! God is not in the genealogy.. And, Phares and Zara children of incest are his grandparents!?!? Seeing they see not, hearing they hear not, neither do they understand....!

It 's clear from this passage and others that Joseph took Mary as his wife and did know her after Jesus was born.

I Praise God that I can be saved from the sins I do. Sin has pleasure I have to be willing to be saved from those sins. If I continue in them then I am not a child of God. I must put to death that what is against God. I Praise God for Jesus Christ for through Him I have life and that more abundantly. It is hard sometimes to put to death those sins but if God knows that I have a readiness to get it done and out of my life I have found that He will work with me till I get it done and out of sight and free from sin !!!!

Never questioned the Bible to much for God would not have used any other women He used Mary for a reason I believe for it to be a heartfull one She was humble and not just a virgin.A virgin in spirit is a learnong spirit He or She will never grow old they will prosper forever next to God and will keep on learning new things Amen.

study to show ourselves approved but much reading makes a man weary. Think upon these things, ponder, meditate, Jesus is worthy to open the seals, He is our mediator.
  • George Hartwell on Matthew 1 - 10 years ago
Comment in verse 23 The Greek Septuagint which Matthew used translates it as "a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, " but the Hebrew word "almah " means "young woman of marriageable age, " not a virgin. It could still mean that Mary was a virgin though, couldn 't it? After all, only she would know.

  • Issak on Matthew 1 - 10 years ago
I like Matthew as my favorite apostle, because in "luke " it says when the Lord Jesus was recruiting people Matthew was sitting at the customs house he was a tax collector, probably with lots of money in his hands and money is powerful but when the lord saw him he just say "follow me " and Matthew just pushed all the money away he was a rich man, and blindly followed the Lord..!
