Mary Lively, the "flight" is the shifting of people out of the modern day West Bank upon the desolation. Imagine having to flee into the mountains on foot during the winter time. Also, if this were to happen on a sabbath day, there will be much confusion and possible disregard for the times, therefore, those people may be swayed by the many and possibly lose vital time in their decision to flee.

The antichrist having killed the 2 witnesses. Will stand in the temple trying to convince himself he is God then begin to persecute Christians (flee)and the elect of God will be caught up into heaven and the remenant will be chased and try to make them take the mark. The blood will come to the horses bridles. And they will be beheaded therefore ruling and reigning with Christ for one thousand year

I was attacked with words by person who hates me and I didn't know how to answer them. I remember Jesus being asked by what authority he did these things. Jesus answered them with a question that they could not answer. He knew how to answer his enemies. Matthew 24: 40 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

Saints denie 1st Christ he's a fake and won't bow down to Satan then their mother, brother, sister, and dad go to bow down they will want to take them to Jesus but they say he's a fake they will turn them over to death, which is to say Satan who they believe is Christ and they want their loved one saved. Saints delivered up blank their minds and the Holy Spirit speak broadcasting the words of God.

I believe the lord definitely wanted to give us his thoughts and covey to his saints things that are going to happen to in the last days which we are living in. Matthew 24
  • Bruce on 1 Thessalonians 4 - 6 years ago
Alexas: that is definitely the rapture that will take place but where does that say pre-trib? Matthew 24:29 immediately after The Tribulation of those days---v31: He shall send His Angels to do what? Revelation20:6 blessed and Holy is he that has part in the First Resurrection:/ --- we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Acts 14:22

Verse 12~The increase in lawlessness and failure to obey God's laws has caused the love of many to grow cold.
  • BSP on Exodus 1 - 6 years ago
Verse 6~This is a good verse to give the definition of a generation. Those who are part of a generation can be different ages, but they are all contemporaries. Knowing this can help us to understand the meaning of the word generation at Matthew 24:34.

Ivan: Blessed and Holy is he that hath part in The First Resurrection: --- Revelation 20:6
  • Ivan Egipciaco on Matthew 24 - 6 years ago
In Corinthians 15 the Apostle Paul wrote that there is an order to the resurrection. The first was Christ, the second group is those who are ready before the tribulation period. The 144 thousand will be taken away alive also. The two witnesses in Rev.11 will be resurrected and taken to heaven in mid trib. The last are after the tribulation before the Millenium.
  • Ivan Egipciaco on Matthew 24 - 6 years ago
One of the biggest confusion is the resurrection of the dead. There is more than one resurrection mentioned in scripture for believers. Last one is before millennium where most believers will be resurrected. After millennium, all unbelievers will be resurrected. we have to look at all scriptures and not just a few that back up our believes.
  • Rosemary Lohman on Matthew 24 - 6 years ago
At a disciple, Jesus also can not lie when he said the FIRST resurrection is not going to happen until after the beheadings.... HINT: the dead in Christ are the martyrs! Revelation 20. Paul said the dead have to rise first and Jesus said that the first resurrection is AFTER the tribulation. How can their be a pre trib rapture.
  • A disciple on Matthew 24 - 6 years ago
"..see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." What are the things that we are to beware of? First, false brethren; after that, false prophets pointing to "signs of the times;" then, persecution for faith in Jesus and keeping God's commandments. All these things WE encounter MUST COME FIRST, then the end. Our only security is in the Word of God.
  • Ivan Egipciaco on Matthew 24 - 6 years ago
Mathew 24 has a mixture of all events and is not written in any kind of order. All scriptures that deal with the Lords coming must harmonize or the interpretations are wrong. The pre-rapture is defined as a thief in the night and is for those like Enoch, they please God. The way the second coming is described is no way close a mystery. It is more like a fourth of July, very explosive.

Verse 38: People are so busy today with normal activities and hobbies. There is nothing wrong with these things, but one must make time for spiritual things and put God first in his or her life.
  • A disciple on Matthew 24 - 6 years ago
Lance; How easy knowledge is to those who understand! The Scriptures are full of types and examples, teachings and prophecies, all telling about the kind of times that shall be when the great and dreadful Day of the LORD comes. God has appointed us to be His witnesses concerning His Son the Anointed the Saviour of the world, right up to the very end! Then comes the catching away of the Saints!
  • Lance L. on Matthew 24 - 6 years ago
Personally I don't think the bible teaches a rapture and a second coming. I believe they are one and the same.
Jesus said when "the trumpet sounds he shall gather his elect".
Paul said "at the LAST trumpet he shall gather his elect" and Christians agree Paul was referring to the rapture here.
There won't be another trumpet after the last one.
  • BSP on Matthew 24 - 6 years ago
Verse 3- over 2,000 years ago, Jesus’ apostles were concerned about the future like we are today.
  • A disciple on Matthew 24 - 6 years ago
"For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ and shall deceive many." Matthew 24:5 When the disciples asked the Lord, What will be the sign of your coming? His response was simple and direct Don't be naive! Stay Awake! Don't let yourselves be foolishly misled by anyone and everyone who says, I'm a Christian! After that He goes on to describe the results of a world filled with impostors and hypocrites, ignorant and misguided, name only Christians. It will be just like it was in the days before the cataclysm: apostasy, worldliness, selfishness, consciences seared with a hot iron and scarred without feeling NO MORE HAVING ANY CARE TO KNOW THE TRUTH, QUIT SINNING, OR RECEIVE CORRECTION...eating and drinking and carrying on like the world will just go on for ever and no God influencing their lives! It will be the faithfulness and obedience of the true Elect that will provoke the wicked and the hypocrites to persecute us. Because of all these things, God will see no reason for letting the world continue and He will come!
  • Rev Gary Pitser on Matthew 24 - 6 years ago
I believe Matthew 24 and St Luke 21 are the same and both are talking about the Second
Coming and not the Rapture of the Church. When they asked this question the Rapture
was still a mystery Paul made it known after Christ was risen.
  • Daniel Jacobsen on Matthew 24 - 7 years ago
I believe that the Forerunner of this verse truly Isaiah chapter 40 verse 8.. Which states that the grass withers the flowers fade but the word of the Lord shall stand forever... But either way nothing changes the fact that the word of the Lord shall stand forever, Hallelujah!
  • A disciple on Matthew 24 - 7 years ago
"But know this, that if the GOODMAN of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up." The Archaic meaning of a Goodman is a Husband or House Manager, a manager of an estate, to till (the soil), to manage or use (resources, finances, etc) thriftily. We are under Charge to Manage Use and Keep His Property Wisely.
