  • When Someone Has Difficulty Reading the Bible - In Reply - 3 years ago
A person who is having much difficulty reading the Bible, may simply be helped by understanding what they received when they prayed the sinners prayer.

I learned this from 30 years of street Ministry. They "pray the prayer" with someone, but just like Nicodemas, they are confused. That's why Jesus said, "you must be BORN AGAIN to see the kingdom of heaven. John 3 That's what they need.

I've been an Evangelist most of my life. Jesus wants us to seek the lost and bring them into the kingdom. Every Ministry gift has a job to dofor the lost. 1 Corinthians 12, 13, 14.

Every evangelist needs the Body to do the parts we cannot. Is there anyone in your church to carry the lambs and help them become sheep of His pasture? It's still New Testament church in 2021. Stick a bookmark in Matthew 25: 31-46

Pray to the Lord of the Harvest. He will direct your path to the right ones.

    Part 2:

So now, what happened to the other section where the Old Testament believers were before Christ came? When Jesus dismissed His Spirit on the cross, He went down and proclaimed the victory. You can read that in Matthew 25:50-53. So now, when a believer dies, they go to be with the Lord.

Another thing to look at is the thief who was crucified next to Jesus. He said to Jesus "Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom." That's all the thief said. There was no sinner's prayer. He did this based on the Lord's mercy. "Lord, remember me. That is all I ask when you come into your kingdom." And the Lord response was "Today, you will be with me in paradise." Wow, today. Not you will go to the grave and have to wait to be with me. Jesus said today!

It is true that we will all have to stand before God and give an account of our lives. Every single person will do that. But for the believer who dies in Christ, we do not wait to be judged before we go to be with the Lord. A believer will not be judged for sin because Christ paid the penalty for our sin. The non-believers are the ones who will be judged for their sin.

Also, there will be two more future resurrections. When Jesus returns for His church, His bride, all those who have died in Christ from the time of His ascension into heaven until the time He comes, they will be resurrected from the grave, not their spirit because their spirit went to be with the Lord, but their body will be raised from the grave, and it will be a glorified, incorruptible body, and their spirit will rejoin that body and be forever with the Lord. Again, the non-believing dead will not be resurrected at this time. They will be resurrected after the thousand years, they will be judged for their sin, and they will be eternally separated from Christ.

I am going to need one more post.......
  • THE CHURCH IS INSIDE EACH ONE OF US - In Reply - 3 years ago
I was kinda nervous about the "rapture" because I sleep like a rock. In all the movies they show clothes falling from the sky. I thought maybe I'd sleep right up to heaven :D

Then I fell over the ten virgins parable!! Matthew 25; about the Caught UP to Jesus In The Clouds.

I couldn't figure out how to have on my armor of God (Eph.6) and be in wedding dress with my full lamp. Does the dress go over the armor? Or vice versa. I need both hands for the sword and lamp!

I prayed. I wear my armor 24/7; the sword of the spirit is living within me (Bible). I'll close my eyes till I feel clothing :0

Why is this subject so contentious amongst us? All we have to do is be ready; be looking. Be filled up on the JOY of the Holy Spirit every day.

I truly think Jesus just wants us to be living heaven now.

And no I wasn't a member of a mega church. Little storefront churches of the happiest people on earth: street ministers. They carry the Good News to whosoever the Lord of the Harvest sent us to. And we baptized them in swimming pools, fountains or bathtubs. Shocker!

We walked up on miracles many a time. Being able to see a new birth on a sidewalk, is a rare blessing. We would give rides to church with us the next day. Little storefronts can get loud.

The Pastor, David (and his family) were also the music ministers. Like listening to King David sing Psalms. Mega Churches are not for me. It's not in me to criticize any Church. Jesus is Lord of His Church and he surely knows WHO belongs to Him. He writes our names in the Book of Life.

There are no "celebrities" in heaven. Matthew 25:31-46. Jesus is the judge so we don't have to do any of that.

If our Government goes after the wealth of those churches, we better have a back-up plan. Let's hope we never go through what the Chinese Christians go through daily. Amen.

    Ephesians 4

3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

    4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

There is no separation in heaven. If we cannot accept the scriptures above, and do them

Why in thunder and lightning does everyone say they want to go to heaven?

Jesus is not a fire insurance plan, to get out of hell. He is Holy and Righteous. By reading the Bible faithfully, we know what He expects from us while we are still here on earth. Get your finger out of Genesis and read the Gospels of the New Testament.

The Christian life is not a Hollywood movie. There's lots of those huh? Well that is a poor representation of what God is like and what heaven will look like. What is inside this Bible is where those answers come from. Study the God man, Jesus; all God and all man. He came to earth so we could not only see, but touch Him.

We need to walk into Matthew 25 and figure out which one we are NOW, so we don't get a big shock at heavens gate. Sheep, Shepherd, Goat. Matthew 25:46

There's a whole lot of bad stuff going on now. Clearly, prophesy is racing along. How many of you know what comes next? What will be fulfilled next?

When I met Jesus, and took the Holy Spirits hand; I was reunited with a lonely 5 yr old child that played, the wisdom of the ants, with Someone who was real. I will never stray again!

Why do you not listen to those who were in Gods presence living a miracle? Do our testimonies mean nothing to you? There's a link to testimonies on This Website. Did you read any yet?

You'll never know God till you read His Bible. Isaiah 1:18, wouldn't you love to have all your arguments and sins, washed away forever? To love Jesus who did that for us? clean as snow.

2 Peter 3:10 IT IS ALL GOING TO BURN UP.

Today is the day of Salvation!
  • Tim on Isaiah 14 - 3 years ago
Dr. David Ward. Respectfully sir, It doesn't not matter how many degrees you have. The word of God is discerned by the Holy Spirit giving you wisdom as you are reading the word of God. Hell is a real literal place. For Example. Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

19There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

20And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

21And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

    22And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

23And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

24And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

25But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

This is not a parable. Hell is a literal place of torment.

    Revelation 20

12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

    Hello Helen,

Just a few scriptures that say about the bride/bridegroom.

Matthew 25:1-46 - Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

Ephesians 5:27 - That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Mark 2:19-20 - And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.

Revelation 19:7-9 - Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. (Read More...)

Revelation 21:2 - And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Isaiah 54:5 - For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.

I had studied this way back there but have remembered why I was awestruck over the Ark of the Covenant.

You see, when The Holy Spirit imparts a Rhema word to us, it doesn't all fall into place at once. You have to dig deep.

It's possible people will cry 'hoax or heretic" because of education, scientific studies, archaeology dogs. It means lots of money, paychecks, funding for building projects, hiring employees for all of it. The money wheel keeps turning.

God watches over His Word, is the bottom line.

Genesis 6:16, 9:9. Noah built an Ark. God made a covenant with Noah& the 7 other survivors of the flood; the creatures on the Ark.

Moses mother even made an ark to preserve Moses to fulfill his destiny and legacy.

Exodus 19:5 will blow off your flip flops!

    Just read through Exodus and pinpoint verses on the Ark and Covenants. Put those words in the Search Box on this website. Num.3:31;

    Deu.4:23, 4:31 & 5:3

Jesus Christ is the 3rd Ark. All born again people will be taken to heaven.

I think we're in a time when we must prefer what scripture says, over what people say from their flesh. Every thing a prophet says must come true to the letter. If it's from God, he will confirm it 100%. There are no apostles on earth now. If you want to study prophesy, there are many charts on google of how Jesus fulfilled every prophesy spoken, concerning Him. And ther are still some to be fulfilled yet.

Also prophesies concerning Israel. We must pray as Jesus asked us to: pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray for the scales to fall from their eyes and ears. Let's be people Jesus can count on. Let's do more Matthew 25:31-46. Do these things with your children.

May the Lord bless and keep us close to his heart.
  • Prophetic Events At the End - 3 years ago
I have read of prophesies that seem to point to Islands of the Sea. United States is bordered by oceans, England, Ireland, Scotland, and many more. The thought is they will help Israel flee to the mountains on her eastern side. A country that hated her, will provide shelter, from Antichrist that moves to eradicate Israel.

Also, lions and eagles are mentioned.

"Some Bible students suggest those "wings of a great eagle" may represent America air-lifting our ally Israel to safety, possibly in Petra. But, that is only a theory. America is not mentioned specifically in the last days except perhaps included in the island nations of the world.

The final battle called Armageddon will happen in the Valley of Jezreel in Israel when Jesus Christ returns to set up his Millennial Kingdom. The Antichrist and those nations who side with him will be annihilated by a word from their Creator ( Revelation 16:16; 19:19-21). Only the saved will enter that time of paradise ( Matthew 25:34).

I believe the Believing Church will be gone by this time. Maybe someone else has studied extensively on this part of prophesy? This happens at the moments just before Jesus returns at the end of Tribulation.

And yes I believe America is mentioned I the end of days. I don't plan on being here at that time. What I understand of prophesy is that God is great enough to supernaturally protect the Jews that have turned to God in the time of Trouble. The scales on their eyes are gone, their ears are open: they find themselves surrounded by armies and enemies. A former enemy will shelter them.

[Might try to get some Arthur E Bloomfield book; Grant Jeffery, Jewish Christian writers?]

USA has entered a curse, now, for turning their backs on Israel; funding her enemies to purchase arms to destroy Israel and steal the Land back.

Don't think that God is going to turn a blind eye to that. Study some prophesy and take a break from sabbath & genesis arguments?
  • The Mystery of Creation of TIME and The Creator - In Reply - 3 years ago
There are scriptures in Genesis that explain SOME (not all) about the pre-Adamic world.

A word of caution: there are Cults that teach something called Old Earth Theory. It was used to explain archeology, geology, space exploration, ancient religions, dinosaurs, really old human bones.

Although some of these things are alluded to; does not mean a separate book was included in the Bible, or Canonized. God did not Authorize "old earth theory". There is the danger of heresy. Avoid that.

The entire Bible IS ABOUT JESUS Christ. He's practically on every page. If you miss that reality, then you can be drawn away by the Lust for self-importance. (Pride). Ego and arrogance.

The way to deep study the Bible is to get a Study Bible with a CENTER OF EACH PAGE COLUMN. The abc's imbedded in a scripture correspond to a letter in the Center column. You have to stop where you are and go read all of those notes. Those notes will lead you to even more expanded teaching. make notebooks full of notes: how you got from "here", to "there", and everything in between. Genesis jumps forward and backs up. Easy to miss.

I think, given this TIME in history [His-Story], we should concentrate on the prophesy of Daniel 12:5-13.

WE are the generation that will know what that Chapter has hidden for a very long time. They're coming unsealed. Life and goings on, all over this planet are being unsealed.

Don't get distracted now. Who stands to benefit with us being distracted and led away on fake mystery hunts? Satan.

Be relevant to the signs of the Times. Matthew 24:34, Matthew 25:35

How good are you at reading signs?

Type SIGNS in the Search Box and prepare to be amazed!

Lastly, science and theories will not secure Salvation, nor will you get to meet the Creator.

There was stuff here. Then God CREATED TIME. Genesis 1:1. Only THEN, time started ticking. Scientists can estimate age; but not time.

Hi Carolyn. If we have needs, we're to stop by the Church office and make known our needs. I worked in 'benevolence' in a church for 3 yrs.

If you read through gifts, Ministries, helps; God has called people to help others. To be the body of Christ on this earth.

Someday we'll be in heaven and all Christians will attend the Bema Seat Judgment handled by Jesus. No one goes to hell. They lose rewards.

    1 Corinthians 3:9-15

    2 Corinthians 4:13

According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

    Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

Every man's work shall be made manifest: for THE DAY shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a REWARD. (Search: 5 Crowns)

If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself SHALL BE SAVED, yet so as by fire.

    COMMENT:

Question we ask ourselves honestly: what are we building with?

Are we building up the Body of Christ?

Jesus: we are to be imitating; doing. If we can't Go Ye, then maybe equip those that are? Commit to pray for the laborers to be sent into the Harvest? Luke 10:2

Paul made it crystal clear in chapter 1 that the Christians in Corinth would stand guiltless before God on the day of the Lord. Their saving faith in Christ had been affirmed by the fact that they had received gifts from the Holy Spirit. These Corinthians are undoubtedly Christians.

Now, though, Paul says the fact that they are saved does not mean he can call them spiritual people. They are not living as spiritual people. They are still living as if they were of the flesh. Paul compares them to a person stuck in infancy, who should have matured enough by now to be ready for the solid food of deeper Christian teaching. Instead, they're still on a newborn's all-milk diet. This is not an entirely unique problem, as the writer of Hebrews chastised his readers for a similar weakness ( Hebrews 5:11-14). Instead of living in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit and according to God's wisdom about spiritual things, the Corinthian Christians are still behaving as if they were mere, unspiritual human beings ( 1 Corinthians 3:1-2).

We are the temple of God the Holy Spirit. When we are born again, he comes to indwell in our hearts and He is Our Teacher; if we will ask Him to teach us? It requires Bible study, praying, and practicing quietness so we can hear the Holy Spirit's still small voice.

He has milk, manna and meat. Scripture says to desire the pure milk. A believer that thinks they don't actually have to read the Bible, or attend church to learn: are carnal, live for fleshly pleasures: video games, beer parties, etc.

Jesus is not fire insurance against hell. He paid it ALL on the Cross and died for our personal sin debts. Watch The video, The Passion of the Christ, directed by Mel Gibson.

All this gets sorted out: Matthew 25:32-46 by Jesus Christ. His Bema Seat Judgment occurs before New Jerusalem. For rewards, or no rewards.

    Live for Jesus every day.

    Brother Earl,

I really don't want to go back and fourth about this with you as I know you have your own beliefs.

The one thing that is making me post is this in your comment "therefore the ones that believe this are calling God a LIAR." With all humility and humbleness I beg you please do not write things like this. This is FALSE! I also believe in a "Heaven" and a "hell"(weather gehenna, hades, outer darkness, or the lake of fire).

A place for the wicked that Jesus Christ preached about many times. Telling us to "fear God who can destroy both body and SOUL in gehenna." Matthew 10:28. Also stating in Matthew 25:46 "everlasting (punishment)" The same Greek word used for "eternal (life)".

Also I will bring up what I've read in 1 Enoch. How all shall come before "the Son of Man(Christ)" on His throne and worship Him and beg for His mercy. Though they will nor receive it. Just because all shall worship the Lord one day does not mean all shall be saved. That is up to God alone who shall be saved and receive mercy. God's ways, thoughts, ability, wisdom, is so far beyond us we cannot comprehend.

We are to fear God as is taught in the Old and New Testaments. This is the beginning of wisdom, to depart from evil/sin, serve Him with a pure heart and fervently love Him.

Please my brother. Do not say we who believe in "hell" are calling God a liar as that breaks my heart. I would never say that to any other brother or sister in Christ. Just as you have Scriptures to uphold your "belief" or "interpretation" so we also have Scriptures that plainly say "hell" is a place we don't want to go.

I will end with the most important thing as there will always be different views. May we all focus on the ways of Jesus Christ our Lord following Him to do the Will of our Father in Heaven. With a pure heart producing good fruit in the Spirit loving one another. Putting all our faith and trust in the Lord.

I won't fill the page with verses. This was from the heart.

    God Bless.

    Miyelani,

Your question, was sin there before the earth was created? Just to add a little to brother Earl's reply.

We know by the book of Job angels were created before for this earth ( Job 38:7). God asked Job these questions; "Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?" "Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth?" ( Job 38)

We know God's plan was before this world, which includes the lake of fire and who this lake of fire was prepared for. ( Matthew 25:41) We are told one purpose the Son of God was manifested. ( 1John 3:8)

All of God's mysteries have not been revealed, things behind the scenes, things that are not in our Bible. If "there" in your question, is on earth the answer is no. Scripture does not tell us precisely when Satan sinned (rebelled).

Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

I believe this is about the extreme importance of being prepared for the Lord's coming. Five of the virgins failed to bring oil for their lamps while the other five brought oil. When the bridegroom arrived, the five that had no oil were not accepted by the bridegroom...he stated "I know you not." Get your house in order, pray and be prepared for the coming of the Lord.

I very much enjoy conversing with you brother Earl. There will be a second post to this.

My view on all(everyone) being saved is this. If this were true, in my eyes, it actually would not matter, in the end, weather the person is a child of God or a child of the devil. As of coarse it is of the highest honor to have been chosen by God to be in Christ to be one of His and live for His Will. As truly my entire life is surrounded around Jesus Christ and wanting to live for the Will of our Father and please Him. Forever.

Though everybody is different I think some may just take that, all being saved in the end, as a free pass to do whatever they want, in this life, with no worry of consequence. Which I have stated before that it could be dangerous to preach that to the people who would take it as such and maybe make them worse people instead of better. Proverbs 9:10, Matthew 10:28, Hebrews 10:31.

As I have gone through my Bible and taken notes of verses from Christ and the Apostles about the "saved and unsaved". Easily over twenty times. Just seeing a verse like Matthew 25:46. Which states "everlasting punishment". Maybe in a verse like 1 Corinthians 1:18. Christ is "to them that perish" foolish but to us(saved) it is "the power of God".

Maybe to bring up one friend the Lord has brought me to just after being saved. It was at a funeral I first saw this friend after around twenty years. The Lord wanted me to tell someone about Him and something told me he was the one. This friend had actually had very spiritual experiences as well though not all good. The devil actually came to him and wanted his daughters soul. The Lord has pulled him from the road to destruction and set him on the right path. Though he is not perfect, as none of us are, we can talk for hours. One thing he perceives is this is "hell". As we don't see eye to eye on every aspect it's ok because I know he is a good person and courageous. Not afraid of any person or to speak what he feels.
  • Richard in Christ - In Reply on Revelation 13 - 3 years ago
    Brother Earl,

As I know your views are very spiritual and that is good. Though just on one thing I would like to bring up about "fire". I very much understand God or Christ is a consuming fire and we are tried by fire as gold. To purify us. As in 1 Corinthians 3:13. Matthew 3:11.

Though as I will show you with one verse not ALL fire, to me anyway, is Christ, the Holy Ghost, or God in essence the way you perceive. As this fire would guide us to keep us clean and pure for God's Will.

Of coarse God made fire this just showing it is not always where we want to be.

At the end of Jude. In Jude 1:23 it speaks of how we should "save with fear" some people "pulling them out of the fire". As I think you will agree I don't think it is talking about pulling anyone out of the "fire of Christ". More likely the fire spoken of in Revelation 20:15, Matthew 25:41.

Also in the book of Enoch. Here is a small portion of chapter 108: for their names shall be blotted out of the book of life and out of the holy books, and their seed shall be destroyed for ever, and their spirits shall be slain, and they shall cry and make lamentation in a place that is a chaotic wilderness, and in the fire shall they burn.

I know you and me have gone over this before in that I think you perceive everyone "will be saved" in the end. Which I don't fully agree with but that's ok. Whatever the Will of God is, that shall be. Us being Blessed to be with the Lord Jesus Christ is a priceless treasure.

    God Bless you brother Earl.

36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37 Then shall THE RIGHTEOUS answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto ME.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on THE LEFT HAND (goats)

Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me NO meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me NO drink:

43 I was a stranger, and ye took me NOT in: naked, and ye clothed me NOT: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me NOT.

44 Then shall they (the goats) also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and DID NOT minister unto thee???

45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it NOT to one of the least of these, ye did it NOT to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Comment by Mishael: this is not a call to get all wrapped up into a "Works Only" mentality.

This a means to worship Jesus, and love him. He asks us to do this.

    Hello brother Earl,

Again I thank you for your replies. As it is our destiny to grow in the Spirit of Christ and see with His eyes.

As the ways of God are beyond what I could fathom. Truly my faith in God and Jesus Christ being, that whatever the way of the Lord is, I know it is the right way and I am His forever. Even if I don't understand. Keeping root in the Word with a pure heart and staying close to the Lord. He shall direct us down the straight and narrow path. His Will shall be done.

Weather we believe "hell" to be a place of eternal torment like stated in Matthew 25:46. Or as you explain. It is a place we do not want to go or have anything to do with. Christ stating in Matthew 10:28.

As we who are in Christ here are Blessed to have been chosen by Him to be His.

In 1 Corinthians 16:22 stating those who "love not the Lord"(not with the Lord) to basically let him be set aside for the coming Judgement of the Lord.

A couple about saving a soul. As we can only plant or water, it is God who gives the growth. James 5:19-20, Jude 1:23.

Again thank you for your time and posts brother. It means a lot.

God Bless you Earl. Have a wonderful day!

Re: the Lake of Fire. It is prepared for the Devil & his angels ( Matthew 25:41) but is also the place where all Christ-rejecters go to in the final judgement ( Revelation 20:10-15) & particularly verse 15, "whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." And that includes not only the Devil & his angels but also the anti-Christ, the false prophet & all mankind that were not found in the Book of Life.

"Who created such a place?" I would say that God has done this. "Who does "the torturing in hell?" No one - it is a place of continual fire where the act of dying is continual but death that is longed for never comes ( Mark 9:43-48).

And these are not parables by Jesus; Jesus is telling us what lies beyond the grave. And that is why Jesus came to die on our behalf: that we might be spared God's Judgement to enjoy new life on Earth & then eternity in His Presence. As I mentioned before, if just dying & returning to dust was our punishment, the Gospel would be practically meaningless, as we all have to die & enter into such a state of 'oblivion'. But Jesus says that some will awake to "the resurrection of life & some to the resurrection of damnation" ( John 5:29). There is no permanent middle ground at the graveside - we all have to go somewhere else - and that's why the Gospel is so special & precious: it saves a person entirely, both in this life and the next.

    Hi Richard,

I agree there is a hell. I believe it because the bible says it!

To teach otherwise can be dangerous, It sounds similar to Satan discrediting Gods word when Satan deceived Eve.

"And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:" Genesis 3:4.

And here's scriptural proof they don't just cease from existing.

1st of all the resurrection, and the term we know as the 2nd death.

Acts 24:15. And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a RESURRECTION of the dead, ( both of the just and UNJUST. )

What's the point in raising the unjust just to send them right back to the grave?

Matthew 25:41, 46 (KJV) Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:...42..43..44..

...And these shall go away into EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT:

but the righteous into life eternal.

Hell was created for the devil and his angels but his children will go there also, and to take note,

YOU CAN'T WEEP AND NASH TEETH IF YOU NO LONGER EXIST, NEITHER CAN YOU ENDURE EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT.

Matthew 13:42-43. AND SHALL CAST THEM INTO A FURNACE OF FIRE: ""THERE SHALL BE WAILING AND GNASHING OF TEETH.

Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.

Revelation 20:14-15. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the Second death.

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the LAKE OF FIRE.

HERE IT SEEMS TO BE A RELOCATION, AND DEATH ( AND HELL IS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE!! )

When the restrainer is taken out of the way

    ( Thes 2:7 )

you see how evil men really is. War against God ect.

Revelation 16:9. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

They'll be just like their father the Devil.

    No repentance. Forever tormented.

    The scripture is clear.

Thank you Sacha for your comment. Now this thread you refer to, I do remember. I know that many don't believe in a literal place of suffering & eternal torment, as those who refer to themselves as Jehovah's Witnesses believe the same. All that we know of such a place is found in God's Word, so it boils down to whether we accept what is given or treat those passages as somehow lacking in actuality & just a vivid description of a soul's abandonment.

Sacha, you are well read in the Scriptures, so I need not list even some of those passages which speak of suffering & an eternal torment. I would say that many of the people I've spoken to who also don't believe in a place of suffering, usually cannot fathom how a merciful loving God could consign anyone to such a place - surely there must be some respite & future forgiveness or else, the sinner must just disappear into non-existence into the earth.

Simply put, why I believe in a literal place of punishment & torment is because OF THE CROSS. You & I know that all of mankind are sinners & our sins have separated us from God ( Isaiah 59:2). So why should God provide such a Sacrifice for us? Since we ALL have to die physically, why not just let us "eat, drink & be merry" for only the grave lies before us?

Did Jesus, the Son of God, willingly lay down His Life just to give us better option of deliverance than just returning back to dust? True, the prospect of living eternally in God's Presence ought to be our desire, but for me (& from the preaching of Jesus & the apostles), the CERTAINTY of eternal torment (for my sins & rejection of God's salvation) is equally compelling for me to flee the sinful life & cleave to the One Who gives new life & hope. If there wasn't a hell, then God fails as a God of justice, as death alone is insufficient punishment for sin. ( Matthew 25:41). The fact that God provided us a place at Calvary proves that His Love was so great that warranted our preservation from a place far worse than death.

    Hi Earl,

Please forgive me to reply to this but I feel to. I understand you don't believe in Hell, or eternal damnation, though I do and to me it seems it was a very important thing Christ taught. To Repent from sins/iniquity and follow Him down the straight and narrow path that leads to life eternal. As He is the way.

The Lord taught not all are going down that path. Matthew 7:13-14. Here He states not everyone is to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven Matthew 7:21. As He stated there shall be some to go away to everlasting punishment but the righteous to life eternal Matthew 25:31-46. Numerous parables of the wicked being separated from the just in the end Matthew 13:37-50.

Though if Luke 16:19-31, is a parable what it states is not hard to see. The man who suffered and begged died and was carried by angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man who lived lavishly and did not help Lazarus died and was in Hades in torment. Even though he begged for a touch of water He did not receive it. Just being told how Lazarus who suffered was now comforted and he was now in torment. Even when he begged that a message be sent to his family that they repent so they would not end up as he did. He was told that if they hear not Moses and the prophets, they would neither be persuaded by one raising from the dead.

I also don't understand how you think the "fire" of God that tries/chastens us and our works it the same as "eternal fire, torment and punishment".

Could you please explain some of these things? As I see it very dangerous to say a place of eternal damnation does not exist.

Have you ever looked into people who have died, came back to life, and actually experienced a place that is worse than we could imagine? Usually calling it hell and has converted many people to believing in Christ. What would you say to them?

I would never think to tell anyone hell is not real. What if it is and you were wrong? Making people think it doesn't matter what they do?

    Thanks God Bless.

    God is different than man.

"But God, who is from everlasting, who is holy and righteous all together, cannot and never will change, for He is only truth, and out of truth no change can come.

With God, there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning ( James 1:17)."

"...God is different; He is outnumbered, outclassed , set aside, rejected, and spoken evil of when it is suitable to man's cause, but when He comes to the earth again as a Judge, He will still be different. The masses will be facing One whom they rejected in life as incompatible, unreasonable, and not fair. He will be the only One to speak: "Well done, thou good and faithful servant...enter into the joy of thy lord" ( Matthew 25:21). "...depart from me, ye that work iniquity ( Matthew 7:23)."

The work is huge and as a worker, we must do our best to be the best. You have to be punctual in the house of God.

There must be difference between workers and students.

The workers were given talents to do business. we can see three main things:

    1. Integrity - it is practice of being honest and consistence to principle tenent of faith. You must show uncompromising deal on the call of leadership

    2. Stewardship - obligation of exercising the talent God has given to you.

    3. Growing and developing

As a worker, we must use our talent judiciously

    Brother Earl,

I very much enjoy reading your posts. Thank you kindly for your replies. It is a Blessing to be able to converse with you on things like this.

First I will start by saying exactly what shall happen is all up to God, and His Will, as you know. In reality I don't believe any of us can perceive how deep the thoughts, and plans, of God truly are. One day when we return to Him, after our physical death, then we shall know things not known in earth. Ecclesiastes 12:7.

As I'm still not positive if that you perceive ALL to be saved in the end but that's what I think.

If it is God's will that all shall be saved then I'm all for that. For His Will shall be done and whatever that is is what I want also. Though I have so many Scriptures that pertain to things like "the unsaved being cast into eternal damnation, it being better that Judas Iscariot was not even born, things of Heaven(which I believe to be the Spiritual Kingdom of God), our names written in the book of Life, that not everyone's name shall be written in this book, etc." Also of things like you stated how the wisdom of God shall fill the earth. Habakkuk 2:14.

I believe, from my aspect, that all have the choice and chance to be saved by God. His mercy and forgiveness is everlasting. No matter what we have done in our lives. Though it doesn't seem all choose that path or will be with the Lord for eternity. As even angels have sinned and turned against God.

I will just post all the Scriptures I have that I see these things in. As no man taught me about the Lord. God lead me to Jesus Christ who saved me.

    About Judas Matthew 26:24.

    Not all making it to Heaven Matthew 7:21-23, Matthew 25:41, Matthew 25:46, Matthew 13:37-43, Matthew 13:47-50, Revelation 20:15, Revelation 21:7-8, Revelation 22:14-15, 2 Peter 2:1-9, 2 Peter 2:17,

    Heaven Matthew 25:31-34, 2 Timothy 4:6-8, Philippians 3:20-21, 2 Timothy 4:6-8, 2 Timothy 4:18.

2 Peter 1:20. May the Lord bring us closer together.

    God Bless.

The sheep are being separated from the goats, the wheat from the tares. Keep steadfast in your faith my brothers and sisters in Christ.

    Matthew 13:37-43 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

    The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

    The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Matthew 25:31-34 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Matthew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Matthew 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
