I see many people have responded to your post already, but some of what you said sent my mind backwards to when I was saved. I had no reason to have any doubts as I had a "Damascus Road" kind of experience as Paul did. When Jesus comes into our life, it doesn't always come with sunshine and a voice from above.

Our spiritual house inside of us must be filled with the Holy Spirit, swept free of anything demons may use as doorways back into your home (not you); finally garnished with Bible study, praise and worship. Fasting from all media and just sitting silent listening for answers to your hearts prayers: for the Holy Spirits voice.

When I read your post: He said 'spirit of Heaviness'. It is demonic and it is sent to destroy your peace and happiness in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit wants to end this interference in your walk with Jesus.

The spirit of heaviness is in the Bible and can be verified by you that it's real. It has fruits that you will recognize as you study this. You nailed it, in what you said in your post. It's nothing be afraid of. The Holy Spirit is encircling you and protecting you; comforting you. He is going to teach you of this. And with His Help, you are going to cast this hindrance out of your life.

I'm going to send you to a website that has an excellent teaching on this. Read it all. You are not afflicted with any mental weakness. But for some reason this thing is holding you back from Gods best for you. Are you into a gospel band or anything like that? Email me after you've read this article, ok?

Feeling an action from the holy spirit, is a natural fleshly need. When you read Christ words, remember He is teaching you and me about the kingdom of God! We are learning about Him, while growing in his knowledge for all of us. He confirms His teaching and healing with miracles! Why can't we experience these same miracles? When we read Gods word,we may not see it or feel it, but know that the seed that has been planted in your heart through faith is growing! This is the miracle! When doubt creeps in remember, that He shed His blood , so that through faith you will become more like Him. When you become a child of God, you will conform into him! This is his amazing grace towards us!

Borand, to add what Matthew has said about having faith: I'm sure you are expressing faith in your Christian walk; after all you came 'by faith' when you turned to Christ & that same faith keeps you walking each day loving & trusting God for all your needs. However, I've learned that having faith is not a passive gift or experience. Some pray & just wait for something to happen. Faith demands that we get on in our daily existence looking for the presence & Hand of the Lord to keep us & direct us. Also, there's not always a 'feeling' about the presence or power of God that one has - if we only looked for a feeling for proof, then our walk is not of faith. God expects His children to have implicit faith in Him no matter what our circumstance, whatever our wants or even when there seems to be silence from Him. He knows you love Him & are devoted to Him: as you pray & read from His Word, there will be times when suddenly the Spirit of God 'intrudes' into your prayer/reading to tell you something special or give confirmation.

I have many examples, but one now: I attended a Fellowship in my early Christian walk that majored heavily on Missions. It was always a challenge to us: "Why are you still sitting here & not out there sharing the Good News?" So, I prayed for a number of years but there was no answer or urge from God. So, I continued in my Christian walk, going out each week with a group to share Christ on the streets (as was the burden on my heart). Then after a few years, while in morning prayer, the Spirit just 'intruded' into my prayer time, & burdened my heart heavily to go out & serve, giving me the Mission name as well. That burden wouldn't leave me so I left it all with him to direct me. Soon I got a call from a man from another country who wanted to buy my house, without seeing it & ready to pay whatever I wanted! I knew this was God' Hand. The deal went through without problems.

Just trust Him as you walk each day with the Lord, He WILL guide you.
  • Matthew Folkwein - In Reply on Matthew 27 - 4 years ago
Walking with the Lord will keep the Lord close. The Bible says He will never leave you or forsake you. God is listening but He may speak to you through others or His Word. Prayer is effective but you must believe and have faith. Faith comes from the Word of God.

Why are we tearing through Adam and Eve, every single day????

    Yes there are 2 Enochs.

Cains Enoch was born to Cain. That side of Geneology ended before the flood.

Seths , Enoch was born on Seths side. His Enoch ancestor is the one that God took to heaven. His ancestor was Noah. That family line ALL survived the flood.

Cains family tree ends before the flood.

    >Actually Google the Ancestry of Adam and look at the Charts.

We all bear the burden of our judgments that we make about Gods creation.

    ie: Eve slept with Satan

I will not comment on this No More. Go read comments on it, in the past history pages: 1-100 and beyond.

God looked away as Jesus took on himself all of Gods WRATH poured out for the sins of mankind.

Jesus volunteered to be the propitiation for the sins of All Mankind. "For God so loved the world...."

    He didn't leave Jesus.

So question to get people thinking. "My God, My God why have you forsaken me"? Did God actually forsake Jesus? If so, does that make God a liar? Because He says in Deuteronomy 31:6 "...the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." He even repeats it in Hebrews 13:5. So does that mean that God loves us more than Jesus? His perfect son? The son who delighted in him? Well Psalm 147:11 disagrees with that. "the LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love." So why did he forsake him? Is God a liar? Did he change his mind? no and no! "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine..." 2 Tim 3:16 and Hebrews 13:8, "Same yesterday, today, and forever."

So we have a problem, either the bible is wrong or we're wrong. The common argument to this is that, "God's wrath was so much, because sin was so bad." To which I reply, is God a god of wrath? or of Mercy? "The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love," Psalm 103:8. They say, well it was a long time, but time is nothing to God, "With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day." 2 Pet 3:8. No, God wasn't so angry. There's something else here. When Jews memorized the bible, they didn't have verses, they memorized the first sentence in a chapter as it's name. And guess where that first sentence appears? Psalm 22, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Read the Psalm, whether Jesus said the whole psalm and it was recorded as just the title or not, doesn't matter, that is what he meant, and his disciples new it. This isn't a psalm of poor me, but of love, mercy and restitution! Jesus's last words were, "They will proclaim His righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it!" HE IS PRAISING GOD! Not crying out! He just recited the prophesy of his death, bones out of joint, pierced hands, flogging to show bones! God didn't forsake Jesus, Jesus praised God!

There's an issue with traditional teaching on this. Other than it doesn't hold up to the actual Koine Greek in some places, the traditional view is that he rose on Sunday, therefore we do sabbath Sunday. But first, that comes from acts 2, "they gathered on the first day of the week" that is actually Sabbaton, they gathered on Sabbaton, or a "certain sabbath", not Sunday. Second, Jesus never says they are celebrating Passover, he is only telling them to prepare, if he was the Passover he had to die when the priests were killing the lambs for Passover, not after the feast. He died at Sunset what would be Wednesday night (for Jews, the next day starts at sunset), So he died Thursday (the same time they slaughter Passover lambs), was in the tomb at the same time as the Feast of Unleavened bread ( a sabbath), then Mary, Mary, and Martha went and got the oil and incense on Friday (when it wasn't a sabbath) and came to Jesus's tomb on Saturday, where they discovered him risen. This not only fits with Hebrew Scriptures, it also addresses the issue of if Jesus had sent Judas out on that night the disciples would have thought he was committing a sin by having him buy on the sabbath. There's no actual scriptural evidence he rose on Sunday, he would have arrived in Jerusalem the two weeks prior, as is custom. Also, the Passover lamb was supposed to be in the house 10 days, and that's 10 days before Wednesday, the day when Priests slay the lamb. If he had died Friday night, you're right, because it's Jewish, not Greek, night was the point of the new day, so he would have only been in the ground Saturday and Sunday, but he died Wednesday night, so that's Thursday, Friday, then Saturday.

Ain't it interesting that our Creator, and Redeemer, who gave Adam and Eve the Sabbath at creation--rested in death on the Sabbath He created. Later in both the 1st and 2nd testaments, the LORD Jesus Christ made it clear that His commandments were not for everyone, but for those that love Him. I tried doing the substitution principle for years, and made a decision that there are too many promises in the written word of God to let any sinful man tell me that I'm not able to trust the LORD for all of His promises.

Yes, it is wrong to use the name jc. 2 Chronicles 7:14. If my people who are called by my name.........

His name is YAH. YAH is the name of the true and living ELOHIM (God). He alone is the Creator of all.

When we send the highest praise to our Father (Abba), we say "HalleluYAH." Hallelu = Praise to. His name =YAH

John 5:43. I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, you will receive him. J.C. is the other name that the world received Which is not the name of the Son of YAH. The

Son's name is YAHUSHA HA'MASHIACH. Do you see the YAH in His name. As He stated "I come in my Father's name." YAH!

YAH'S name was taken out of the Bible because the wicked powers of this world do not want you to call Him or His Son by Their names. This is because there is truly power in Their names. Stop using the name J.C. If you look up the Latin definition for Jesus, it means " Earth Pig" Now think about this, would YAH give His son such a name with that definition?

As the Bible saids in Revelation 22:18-19, we are not to add or take away from this book...... , The wicked powers spoken about in Ephesians 12:6 has taken out the true names. We have to start doing what scripture saids and call them by Their true names.

Anywhere in the Bible that you read "the Lord," you should read "the Lord YAH." Therefore you identify Him by His name. Wherever you see "God," you should read as ELOHIM which in Hebrew language means God. The reason being is because there are so many false gods out there. Satan is also known as a god because some people worship him. As for the title Lord, that is what Sarah called Abraham, her lord. In ancient kingdoms there were people known as lord this and lord that. Lord is simply a title as to is God a title.

Our Father YAH is Holy. He is in a category all by Himself. Only He knows the day His Son is coming back, not even is Son knows. Matthew 24:36 and Mark13:32. HalleuYAH!

Genesis 9:4 Only, you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.

Exodus 24:8 Moses took the blood and dashed it on the people, and said, 'See the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.'

Leviticus 3:17 It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations, in all your settlements: you must not eat any fat or any blood.

Leviticus 7:26 - 27 You must not eat any blood whatever, either of bird or of animal, in any of your settlements. Any one of you who eats any blood shall be cut off from your kin.

Leviticus 17:10 - 12 [ Eating Blood Prohibited ] If anyone of the house of Israel or of the aliens who reside among them eats any blood, I will set my face against that person who eats blood, and will cut that person off from the people. For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you for making atonement for your lives on the altar; for, as life, it is the blood that makes atonement. Therefore I have said to the people of Israel: No person among you shall eat blood, nor shall any alien who resides among you eat blood.

Leviticus 17:14 For the life of every creature-its blood is its life; therefore I have said to the people of Israel: You shall not eat the blood of any creature, for the life of every creature is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off.

Matthew 26:28 for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

Mark 14:24 He said to them, 'This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.

Luke 22:20 And he did the same with the cup after supper, saying, 'This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.

John 6:54 - 56 Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day; for my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in them.

    Concerning the Law;

The everlasting Law God established with those that desire to be called His children still stands.

    The 10 Commandments still stand.

Any time we sin we are under the Law.

    Everyone sins: Everyday!

Blood ordinances were fulfilled by the death of Christ ( Matthew 26:28, Romans 2:29, Colossians 1:14)

Priestly duties connected to the sons of Aaron were fulfilled in Christ. ( Hebrews 8:1)

The Temple was destroyed; as promised: ( Matthew 24:2)

    Deuteronomy 29:29

"The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children FOR EVER, that we may do all the words of this law."

    1 Chronicles 16:17

"And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an EVERLASTING covenant,"

    Ephesians 2:15

"Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ORDINANCES; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;"

    Hebrews 7:12

"For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law."

    Matthew 27:51

"And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;"

    All has not been fulfilled.

All will not be fulfilled until the return of Christ.

    Believe the words of Jesus.

    Mathew 5:18

"For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."

    Concerning works;

Why would Jesus care to evaluate the WORKS of the churches that are on earth at the end times when He comes back if they don't matter? ( Revelation 2:2, 9, 13, 19. 3:1, 3:8, 3:15)

    Also look at:

James 2:14-26 - "Faith without works is dead"

    Revelation 14:13

    Revelation 20:12

    Dennis,

Matthew was written by Matthew. Matthew was his Greek name. Matthew means gift of Yahweh. His Jewish name is Levi. And because his name is Levi, that tells us that he is from the tribe of Levi, and he is a priest of all people. Priests come from the tribe of Levi.

In Acts Chapter 12 Verse 12, we are introduced to Mark. He's in Jerusalem. In fact, Acts 12:12 tells us that his name is John Mark. Many people in the scriptures that are presented in detail, they have two names. One is a Jewish name, and one is a sir name, or a Roman name. John is his Jewish name. It is Yochanan. And Marcus is his Roman name. His name is John Mark.

Luke wrote both the gospel of Luke and the book of Acts. He is only mentioned three times in the New Testament. Luke is a Greek name, not Jewish. Many believe that he was a Gentile. I also believe that to be true. Luke was the only Gentile to be used to write a book of the Bible. The best evidence of him being a Gentile is in Colossians Chapter 4 Verses 11 through 14.

John was written by the apostle John. He is a different John than John the Baptist who is introduced to us in John Chapter 1 Verse 6. This is the apostle John. John the Baptist, and the apostle John are two different people. John also wrote 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, and the book of Revelation.
