And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing. And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where. Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Turn again to the most High, and turn away from iniquity: for he will lead thee out of darkness into the light of health, and hate thou abomination vehemently. For the eyes of the Lord are upon them that love him, he is their mighty protection and strong stay, a defence from heat, and a cover from the sun at noon, a preservation from stumbling, and an help from falling. He raiseth up the soul, and lighteneth the eyes: he giveth health, life, and blessing.

He will swallow up death in victory and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth. For he created all things, that they might have their being: and the generations of the world were healthful and there is no poison of destruction in them, nor the kingdom of death upon the earth: For it was neither herb, nor mollifying plaister, that restored them to health: but thy word, O Lord, which healeth all things. For of the most High cometh healing, and he shall receive honour of the king. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.

I believe the reason the accounts differ in the color of the robe is because either Matthew or Mark and John did not see the robe until after the soldiers scourged Jesus, when the blood of Jesus soaked in the robe made the robe appear to be a different color.

Some folk love to see you suffer, they sat and watched him suffer, like the world does us...the elders the writers/Scribes, the prophets that knew what the prophesy said, the Jews and gentiles all sat and watched him suffer even to the mocking and scurging to death! But early that 3rd day morning!

The most interesting to me is this..

    Matthew 27:46,
Jesus said "ELI ELI LAMA SABAKHTANI" (which means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?). It's show that there's another God and who's the God that Jesus called? Does Jesus@God prayed? How can Jesus@God prayed to another God? Somebody can tell me about this plz. Tq

  • Juanita on Matthew 27 - 9 years ago
The Bible said he was sorry and confessed, but then he killed himself. That did confuse me. I wondered if he was forgiven.

Mt 27:52,53 Many bodies of the saints which slept arose and 53 after Jesus' resurrection they resurrected. These are the same that Paul was talking about in 1co15:20 Them that slept. These are our twelve tribes that Eph 2:12 says once we were aliens from, but now being in Christ we are partakers of the promises and hope in our 12 tribes returning at the time of Jesus return . See acts 26:6,7,8, 12 tribes are the common wealth of Israel and the rightful owners of all the land. King Herod had all the 2 yr olds killed in all the land. Mt 2:18, Jer31:15,16,17 they will be coming back. This is one of the Mysteries... In Rev 7:1-10 the exact order is given, and in Rev 14:1-5 it tells you they were virgins, no guile in their mouths, etc 1co15:23 gives the order of the resurrection. Christ first of the Firstfruits- means 1st rank in order the firstfruits the 144,000, all the 2 yr olds killed by Herod's army Mt 2 . Then those that can't be numbered. That is those that are in Christ at his coming.

A question. In a lot of versions of the bible it says Jesus died on a cross. In other versions it says he died on a stake. Can anyone answer which is correct and why the difference??? Thank you
  • Katie Henry on Matthew 27 - 9 years ago
God didn 't forsake Christ. He was the living word. Jesus is quoting scripture of psalms 22. These are actually the words of David. Christ always called our Father, Father. Not God. Read all of Psalms 22. This was written 1000 years before the crucifixion...prophecy...Christ was teaching from the cross.
  • Ron Myers on Matthew 27:51 - 9 years ago
This act of God the Father was proof of fulfillment of the words of Christ God the Son on the Cross... "It is Finished complete . " I.e., mankind both Jew and Gentile was free to approach a righteous and holy God on God 's own gracious terms the atoning Mediator, Jesus Christ , without fear of judgement.

Virtuous, Bless your soul! Had just read the commentaries of Wesley and Peoples Bible and the holy spirit told me the same exact thing! 1. There are no errors in GOD 's Word and 2. The word spoken not written stood out like a bolt of lightning! These so-called scholars are so quick to make accuses, when as you said, they should pray to GOD for the Holy Spirit to lead them to the truth.
  • Robert Hendrickson on Matthew 27:46 - 9 years ago
Jesus was God but yet our bridge from heaven to earth. We could not do it humanly speaking. All needs to think if we were next to Jesus, that most of the negative comments would change to better positive comments and such. Just think about the 2 thieves who were was on the crosses next to Jesus. God can 't won 't look upon sin as God 's Son do did willingly 4 us. All knows knew that Jesus obeyed God,, the sin God could not stand is why God looked away for a time. More comments in a while. God bless all.

  • Leroy Smith on Matthew 27:46 - 9 years ago
God had to turn away from the cross in order for the sin to attack Jesus on the cross, Jesus being human didn 't understand God at that time, so he asked, My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me.

  • Eric on Matthew 27 - 10 years ago
This lets all people know that the Lord God came to us in the flesh to save us from our sin. He knew that this day would pass, yet he served and loved. Healed hearts, illness and raised the dead. How can anyone not read this and bow their heads in adoration and humility for this love that is unlike any other love we could ever find here in this fallen world. Truly I say, All Praise and Glory unto our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen
