    @Penelope,
On verse 26 - Barabbas (means son of the father) was released instead of Jesus. In John 18:40, Barabbas is called a robber; Luke 23:25, Barabbas is called a murderer and sedition (rebellion against authority); Mark 15:15, Barabbas is accused of insurrection. But Pilate like most politicians, had a poll taken of the most likely voters, and wanting to please the people, released Barabbas; a known murderer, robber, and rebellion against authority over a known innocent man (not much has changed in 2000 years in politics). As for the 2 thieves on the cross along with Jesus, one thief repented and went to be with Jesus in paradise and the other went to hell because he repented not ( Luke 23:39-43). Question? Do you know the difference between paradise and the 3rd heaven? And which one is where those that die in Christ go now?

Verse 39, to get the correct interpretation on this verse one must understand Matthew 27:46. Jesus has never been separated from God the father before, and Jesus knew that at the time of his crucifixion that God the father must not look upon sin and when all the sins of all men was placed on Jesus on the cross, first time ever that Jesus and God the father were separated by sin. This is why Jesus prayed in the garden that if it be possible let this cup pass from me.

Matthew 27:50 could be referred to as the cry of agony that marks the victory of CHRIST over every situation in life, on earth, underneath the earth and in the heavens above. That cry breaks through every barrier of hardship, shakes the unshakeable, cracked every hardship in the lives of the saints, set free everybody held in bondage of the powers of darkness and raised back to life every deadness in the saints. Hallelujah!

"Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself..." ( Matthew 27:3)

There was a man who began to speak, and as he continued, it was perceived that what he was saying was to speak of Jesus in jest. As he continued to speak, the spirit in the room became noticeably different. He began to speak with awareness to this, hesitantly, with reserve and calculation; yet, like he wanted to continue, but felt he should not. He somehow finished without proceding beyond that spirit that was there, but with a spirit that was still joined to what he was saying.

And at least one in the room wanted him to not continue, not for their self, but for his self. They did not want to see him so denude himself before all; all the while, he seeing himself "savoir faire" dressed.

He repented himself. I do not say he repented; if he was with others he may would continue to tell the story with full zest.

One can repent themselves, but not unto godly repentance. Only godly repentance worketh unto salvation, which worketh unto life.

Man can repent a repentance that is not unto godly repentance.

Eloi, Eloi, Lama Sabachtani. Of corse means, My God My God y hast thou 4 saken me. Now!!! this is a starting of a prayer Jesus would say when he was in the desert. It goes on to say in short. Why art thou so far from helping me and from the words of my roaming? Our fathers trusted in thee; They trusted and thou didist deliver them They cried unto thee and were delivered... But i am a worm, and no man; etc etc. now where is this to be found when these questions are raised. He was no man, he was no Christ, He was no God. Time to get all the books back into the Bible that were left out for what ever reasons the Churchers deemed fit for their own means and end. ??

"When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone?" ( John 6:15) Earlier, Satan had tempted Jesus with a kingdoms of the world; in His temptation from Satan, Jesus overcame. Here, when Jesus perceived the people would come and by force make Him a King, he did not follow on with them. Satan in his temptations said unto Jesus, "If thou be the Son of God..." Later, when Jesus was on the cross we see these words being spoken to Jesus through man. "If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross." ( Matthew 27:40) "Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said, He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him. He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God." ( Matthew 27:41-43) Satan earlier had taken Jesus up into the holy city, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple: "And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, he shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone." ( Matthew 4:5-6) Jesus did not jump off the pinnacle of the temple, neither did he come down from off the cross. Satan seeks to interfere and destroy the work of God. He can manifest himself directly; he can work through the fallen angels. He can manifest himself to the mind of man; he can also work through others to speak of perform his will towards another. He can present himself as an angel of light. "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." ( II Corinthians 11:14) Satan's goal is to steal, kill, and destroy; sometimes he looks like darkness, and sometimes he looks like light.

I believe that God purpose, was again to try and show man that He is supreme is all things. And this was another 'Lazarus' being raised from the dead experience. These saints again lived for a while, and died as Lazarus.

First off, thank you lord for dieing for my sins. When he said my my why hath thou forsaken me... since you all seem to know the bible so well you would also know God hates sin and it stinks in his nostrals and that means that he is no part of sin. So that leads us to the reason why he died on the cross for our sins. he was the payment, he bared your sin, your momma sin, you daddy and your grandma, and every person... All the way from Adam and Eve. How would you have felt if everybody sin and burden was on you. Sin is not just a physical thing, its a mental thing. And im sure if this was you, hanging there on a cross will nails in your hand and you had to fulfill the scripture Ps.22, and God would not hav have anything to do with you just because you were the sacrifice so that man would not be lost. God is the true and living GOD and No MAN will put him down with me saying something. If it was not for him you would not even be able to type this message! He forsaked him becasue he carried your sins... NOW you need to open your mouth and THANK GOD!!!!!!

All the versions posted on this site call them thieves or robbers, which are synonymous. But the Catholic New American Bible, which is not on this site, does appear to call the thieves 'revolutionaries'.

So, I wouldn’t make a conclusion that Bibles are being watered down, but to watch out for a few translations such as the New American Bible that may change the meaning.
  • DIRCM on Matthew 27:38 - 13 years ago
In the International Version, it states "Two rebels were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left". In the New American Bible, it states "Two revolutionaries were crucified with him, one on his right and the other on his left." So when did two thieves/robbers become rebels and then revolutionaries. Bibles are becoming watered down. Not a good sign.

I believe Judas was grief stricken beyond any spiritual measurement, however, verses 4 and 5 are bold. I believe Judas was angry."I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood." Speaking to chief priests and elders,"he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple." Chapter 10 verse 4,5 "and Judas Iscar'-i-ot, who also betrayed him." "These twelve Jesus sent forth." Judas is one of the twelve on the twelve thrones. It's possible that the translation is wrong either unintentionally or by design. Could it be someone hung him? Throwing money at the feet of the chief priests in the temple would have been a serious condemnation.

what i have gotten out of these passages is that even after the pharisees and chief priests saw the amazing events that happened after Jesus died, they still doubted. and they wanted to make sure the tomb was secure so the disciples couldn't come steal His body and by doing so make the people think that Jesus really did rise from the dead. They still refused to believe that He was truly the Son of God.

Dear Dan, The ones that Christ referred to pertaining to the dead 'HEARING' His voice, were those that had died IN FAITH in God's Word, thus promises, pertaining to that which was to come, prior to Christ coming into the world in the form of a man; in the likeness of sinful flesh, to die for the sins of mankind. All those that had died prior to His coming, who HEARD God's Word; words, in the way that means to BELIEVE God's Word; to thus have faith in God's Word, are all those who's souls went down into the midst of the earth, not into Hell, but nevertheless in a particular grave site, where death held them hostage, as they waited for the prophesied; foretold, coming Messiah; Saviour. As, the Lord had promised them, saying:

Isaiah 26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together with MY DEAD BODY shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

1 Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste DEATH FOR EVERY MAN.

Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

2 Corinthians 1:9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:

Acs 2:24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

Romans 6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

After Christ came OUT of that fleshly body; the form of a man; the likeness of sinful flesh, He THEN went to the part of the midst of the earth that is Hell, and TOOK AWAY from Satan the KEYS of Hell and Death!

Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

THEN He want to another part of the midst of the earth where all those souls that had BELIEVED God; believed the Word of God preached to them, and had thus died in faith, looking forward to the coming Saviour; Redeemer; Messiah, slept; rested, waiting for Him to come. And He took them, who were all held CAPTIVE by death, in the grave, all CAPTIVE UNTO HIMSELF, and AROSE, with them, they with HIM, from the dead:

As prophesied in the Old Testament:

Ezekiel 37:13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,

He FULFILLED that prophesy in the New Testament, upon rising from the dead:

Matthew 27:50 Jesus when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

    51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

52 And THE GRAVES WERE OPENED; and many bodies of the saints which slept AROSE,

53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

Ephesians 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led CAPTIVITY captive, and gave gifts unto men.

Since our Saviour; Redeemer; Messiah, is come in the flesh:

John 1: 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath EVERLASTING LIFE, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

To Linda: Dear Linda, I want to thank you for hearing God's Word. It is clear that you do, as I do. You see, the truth, as it is written, bears witness in your heart. Even if there are things you do not understand, as in being not able to fully understand mentally, and thus not being able to explain it in words, your heart KNOWS. And the more you read, the more you will understand what your own heart KNOWS, because you have received the truth with your heart, meaning that you DESIRE the truth.

Before I say what I have to say for now, since I just barely got off work, and am tired, that I want you to keep looking for my 'TO LINDA' messages, because I will continue to write to you, to take up from where I left off.

Also, I want to say that, after I tell you what I have to say for now, following that will be holy scriptures to confirm; back up, all said.

First, I want to say that the physical body that you are in right now is TEMPORARY, or as God's Word says it, TEMPORAL. It's actually DEAD. But since you have received Christ, His Spirit has quickened it; made it alive, in a very special way.

Unlike those that have not yet received Christ, who's physically bodies are likewise DEAD, your body, even though you cannot see it with your physical eyes or experience it fully with your physical realization, is QUICKENED; made alive, by the Spirit of God in Christ.

Those that have not yet received Christ, have temporary life in them for one reason; purpose, and that is so that they MAY receive Him. They, as we, have the BREATH of God's Spirit, (not God's Spirit, as we do,) but the BREATH of God's Spirit, IN them. That is the life from God that means that no one would exist if it were not for God's spiritual breath in them, giving them the chance to live and recieve His Word; Christ; His Spirit; eternal Life.

Most people do not get it. They don't even have a clue, that the only reason that they are able to BREATH their next breath, and to THINK their next thought, and to go about DOING whatever they do, is for the purpose of TIME to receive Christ Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. There IS no other reason why the Lord God allows people who have not yet received Christ to LIVE, so that they MAY, if they choose; if they WILL.

This TEMPORATY life is far less than a mere blink of any eye compared to ETERNITY. And there is not even one sin that could ever be worth hanging onto; refusing to repent of, in the face of LIVING FOREVER in the love of Almighty God, Who OWNS IT ALL, and Who has made ALL THINGS NEW for those that receive His love, which is to receive His Word; Christ, and to obey it, always beginning with repenting, when we mess up. To avoid that, is like a child whom you so dearly love refusing to do that one and only thing that he or she could do TO GET OUT of trouble; the mess.
That precious child CANNOT do any amount of GOOD or RIGHT things to get his, or her, own self OUT of the trouble, EXCEPT to follow your instructions. And, with God, His instructions when it comes to our sinning, is ONE THING, and thus ONE WAY, only, when it comes to GETTING OUT, and that is DOWN, spiritually; heartfully, speaking, ON OUR KNEES, simply ACKNOWLEDGING; CONFESS; ADMITTING, 'Lord, according to YOU, and thus YOUR Word, I was wrong, sinfully wrong, to think, speak, or do that. I'm sorry, and seek your mercy; please forgive me.'
We could try doing a hundred good and right things in the meanwhile, TO NO AVAIL. Because we do NOT get the glory for that which cleanses us of sin. Only God, and the BLOOD of His Christ; His Son; OUR Saviour; the Shepherd of OUR soul, can get the glory for our cleansing from our sins.

Since you have received Christ, and have not let go of Him; God's Word, thus WORDS, should you physically die right now, you would step right into the arms of Christ; into heaven; into glory.

You would not feel a thing. It would be like opening the door of your house, and stepping outside. Only it would be even easier than that. Because Christ Jesus IS the Door, and He would instantly take your hand, and lift you, up and totally out of this world, to where He is.

The reason that people cannot see the SPIRITUAL newness, as far as our NEW; perfect, bodies, is because it's not time. God LOVES, and DESIRES, and LOOKS FOR, our FAITH in His Word. If we could see everything for how it really is spiritually, we would not NEED to have FAITH in Him.
God's Word says that 'Without faith, it is impossible to please God.' I remember when I first read that, at about 12 years old, and I cried, to think that such was all God wanted from me, was for me to have FAITH in Him, and thus in His Word.
And since, as it is written, 'Faith WORKS by LOVE,' I knew that the love had to come first. I knew that I had to love Him, as He commands; 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your might.' At first that overwhelmed me, because I did not know how to, or if I was able to, do as He required. It made me feel bad, because I wanted to love Him how He wanted. But just by my DESIRING TO; WANTING TO, kept me sincerely sorry when I failed to. And I never failed to let Him know it, even if I, for whatever stupid reason, put it off.

God KNOWS your heart, and if you truly love Him, you WILL repent of any and all of your sins, in due time, because you won't be able to stand yourself until you do, no matter how slight the sin may be.

As for your dying physically, do you remember all those people prior to Christ's coming to pay their debt of sin, and death, who died IN FAITH, looking FORWARD to the coming of the Messiah? Those were all the ones that lived, and physically died, prior to Christ's shedding His blood for the sins of all of mankind.

Isaiah 26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together with MY DEAD BODY shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the deEzekiel 37:13

54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

No one could actually be CLEANSED of their sins, but only have their sins COVERED, prior to Christ dying for our sins. So, it was not until Christ Jesus paid the price for 'the wages of death' for us, that any could actually be risen up, and received by our Heavenly Father, AFTER Christ entered heaven FIRST, because He IS the RESURRECTION and THE LIFE!

John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I AM the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Your physical body is temporal. But just because you cannot see your perfect heavenly body, does not mean it is not there. It is, by faith in God, and it will be manifested; come to light; come to sight, when you physically die, or when Christ comes to draw those that love Him up to meet Him in the air (whichever comes first.)

If He came right now to draw us up, your physical body would instantly DIE, so quickly that all that would be seen is your physical body suddenly changed into a glorious perfectly beautiful heavenly body that CANNOT DIE!

TEMPORAL is all those things that, FOR NOW, we cannot see with physical eyes, but they shall come to sight in due time.

    2 Corinthians 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are TEMPORAL; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

    1 Corinthians 15:48
As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the HEAVENLY, such are they also that are HEAVENLY.

    1 Corinthians 15:49
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the HEAVENLY.

Your heavenly new perfect body is like a new dress; clothes, or a new house; a new tabernacle, that never gets worn out. You; your soul; your spiritual self, for now, lives in your old physical body, which is like an old, decaying, house, or old raggy clothes. Your old physical body shall be dissolved; die, and God will CLOTHE you with your perfect everlasting heavenly body. It will look like your old one only enough to tell it's you, but moreso what the Lord MEANT for your body to look like, flawless, perfect, eternally healthy and glorious, never ill, never aging, never dying.

    2 Corinthians 5:4
For we that are in THIS tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but CLOTHED UPON, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

NOW, John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,and the Word WAS God. Isaiah 45:21 Tell ye,and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? Who hath told it from that time? Have not I the LORD? And there is NO God else beside me; a just God and A Saviour; there is none beside Me. And I say, JESUS is LORD! Through His Name of Jesus gives me His acceptance,my credentials, because I believe that My God Loved me and died for my sins for me on that Cross and rent the veil of the room of the Holy Room so that I, through His name of Jesus, can speak directly to Him, my Father. As it is written in ( Matthew 27:51) now, and forever I say, I need no man to show me the way, if I need to be shown I will ask my Father through Jesus Name too show me the Way. But hey, if you can help me understand more by your comments I like to listen. Some of the ones I read are really good and it keeps me learning and looking through the Word.

    derek,
I was reminded by the Lord's Holy WORD as follows!

DOERS OF THE SCRIPTURE ARE NEEDED BIGTIME!

Come on now. You really need to read this carefully. SCRIPTURE IS PLAIN. SCRIPTURE IS THE ONLY WAY WE KNOW JESUS! MANY only go to church on sun-day because the catholics made them. They changed the calendar and PASSED IT DOWN AS MAN'S TRADITION. They DID NOT ADHERE TO SCRIPTURE, AND THEREBY FORGOT TO REMEMBER TO KEEP THE SABBATH DAY HOLY. THIS is not being said lightly. TRADITIONS CONTRADICT SCRIPTURE. WHEN THEY DO THEY MUST BE PUT DOWN IN FAVOR OF HOLY SCRIPTURE. IF not we don't have any faith in what the scripture says because FAITH COMETH BY HEARING AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD! Those that changed sabbath to sunday have abandoned the faith that cometh by hearing that comes by the word of God. Go ahead study to show thyself approved and don't trust any man. Let EVERY MAN be A LIAR BUT LET GOD BE TRUE! HE IS TRUE IN HIS WORD!

Exodus 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.

Exodus 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

Psalm 119:6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Now, some may quote 2 Corinthians 3:6 "Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life."

But what is also TRUE THROUGH AND THROUGH IS THIS SCRIPTURE FROM JESUS HIMSELF THE FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS: " John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

What "letter" of the law is being spoken of here? Is it the letter of the law that is indicated in the following scripture? 2 Peter 1:20-21 "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." Is it the "letter" of the law that is being spoken of in this scripture? 2 Timothy 3:15-17 "And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."

ALL SCRIPTURE includes old an new testament. Circumcision of the male organ is the judaizing factor which is ABSOLUTELY NOT NECESSARY unless it involves the "CIRCUMCISION OF THE HEART FROM AN EVIL HEART OF UNBELIEF."

Jesus said to keep His commandments! One of them is to remember to keep the sabbath day holy as a sign of Him as we await and prepare for His coming. the catholic church changed the calendar to sunday, the first day of the week and the catholics will boast and brag quite boldly that they did because of their IMMENSE POWER. So much is their boldness that they berate protestants who SAY they believe the bible first and foremost for their not keeping the SCRIPTURAL SABBATH. Catholics despise what they call sola scriptura and if they see waffling or weakness or inadherence to the scriptures by those that SAY they adhere to scripture first and foremost, they take every opportunity to impugn their RESOLVE, because they SAY and DO NOT DO!

JESUS IS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS. The New Testament is NO REPLACWEMENT OF THE OLD. IT IS THE FULFILLMENT! Need proof! Here are some EXPLICIT references AS WRITTEN IN THE King James Bible, TRUE THROUGH AND THROUGH IN EVERY WORD!

Put away yuor tradition and take up the tradition of GOD ACCORDING TO HIS WORD. HIS WORD IS PLAINLY TRUE. IF you can read it, you can rely on it, even if you do not fully understand it. Ask and YE shall receive will take care of that part. Any lesser standard of belief in HIS HOLY WORD, is accepting the traditions of men and those are the "LETTERS" that "KILL" and those are what JESUS DECRIED AND BERATED THE PHARISEES ABOUT.

If you still insist the Sabbath, the token of JESUS CHRIST AND MESSIAH is not important or "JEWISH", since when have you as a believer in JESUS been CUT OUT OF THE OLIVE TREE'S ROOT AND FATNESS. You as a believer in JESUS ARE GRAFTED IN TO THE ROOT AND FATNESS THAT IS JESUS OUR KING. The Jews wre broken off for unbelief, and do you think you with unbelief will fare any better? Look it up. If it says "unto all your generations" or "perpetually" or "everlasting" etc. do we disregard that these words have EXTREMELY important meanings to ALL BELIEVERS? If you will keep the tradition of separation and GOD FORBID hatred of JEWS, YOU HAVE IGNORED the STORY OF RUTH AND THE WORDS OF THIS GENTILE MOABITESS HAVE BEEN FORGOTTEN. LET THEM NEVER FALL FROM YOUR LIPS. "YOUR GOD SHALL BE MY GOD AND YOUR PEOPLE SHALL BE MY PEOPLE!"

STOP WITH THE TRADITION ALREADY! DO IT ACCORDING TO THE PLAIN WORD OF GOD, HIS WORDS ARE SPIRIT AND THEY ARE LIFE!!!!

He was clearly drawing the onlookers attention to Psalm 22. If you read it, it is a clear prophecy of the crucifixion- even the words that were being said by the mockers.
  • jesus was man and he was god as man he cried out to the father who was tte spirit.he had to reconsile man backto god in the flesh on the cross

To think, His (Jesus') own father could not even look upon Him because he bore the sin of the world... That breaks my heart, because I, in part, caused that. The basic fact is that Jesus forgave us who believe in Him, even though we may have (most likely have) rejected Him in the past. He climbed on that cross (or let himself be put upon it) knowing that we were could be forgiven; He could die for the evil that we had committed (our sin), so that we could be reconciled with God. God sees Jesus' righteousness rather than our (the believer's) sin, as we believe in him (even though we still sin). Not only that, but upon trusting Him, He improves our lives beyond measure (although maybe not on a worldly scale at times). That is what I did not understand, that the Holy Spirit would come into my life and improve every aspect. Even if I am wrong about these things, He has improved my life. These things are important to me.
For example, God has helped me financially to a high degree, though people don't understand why I don't need or desire cable/satellite TV. The cost of cable has saved me enough money to buy a 50 inch TV every year, but people still don't understand. Even so, the cost has saved me enough to help others too... If you don't understand, just please know that I believe that Jesus, the Son of God, our creator, died for our sins. The penalty for our sin had been death, and he paid that price, by dying for our sin. That is why there are no more sacrifices, because the ultimate sacrifice had been made. When God put the sin of people on Jesus' head, God couldn't even look upon him, and Jesus said, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani, which means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me" -NIV, Matthew 27:46. He was separated from God because of our sin for that time, and felt all of our pain during those moments.

I think it proves that Jesus wasn't a God !

If he were a god so why was he shouting My God My God since he was the God ?!! Calling himself !
