Esaias is the NT Greek rendering of the prophet Isaiah. It is the most quoted old testament book in the new testament I believe.

It clearly explains the birth of christ and the purpose of his coming ..it offers the guide to salvation and encourages us to live like we are expected too and the importance of sharing Gods word .

A person to become a Christian have to repent his her sins, and be baptized deeply into water, as God relied on John, then John baptized people by immersing them in water Jordan river

There were two that hang on a cross with Jesus, the one on the right confessed and asked to be remembered, Jesus said today you will be with me in paradise. He wasn't baptized. Luke 5:24 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, he said unto the sick of the palsy, I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.

The bible doesn't state why Jesus got Baptized ,just as the verse i shared IN Deuteronomy 29 , there's a reason why God did tell us why Jesus got baptized.But he told us that if we believe In him we will not perish .The question you aught be asking is who Jesus is and why came to die for you.The question you are asking serves no purpose to your salvation , I hope you get to believe in Jesus 1 day.

John 10:30 jesus said "i and my father are one" one lord one god and father of us all. 1st john 5:7 there are three that bear record in heaven, the father, the word and the holy ghost and these three are one.

There is no salvation without Jesus Christ! Life begins in baptism and is were you will gain wisdom. Love one another is were people will know you are my disciples.

Jesus is my Saviour. Thank You Father for sending Your Son to die for me, that Imay be worthy of Your love and forgiveness. Amen.

Matt: 3 16 Jesus starts his ministry. John 3 16 we start ours.

Acts 3:19 and Matthew 3:8 is talking about true repentance which is turning from sin to God. I don't follow after sin now but being in the flesh I am surely not sinless. My salvation is secure in Christ but my peace and joy come from keeping sin confessed and seeking the Lord for grace to overcome. Sin is no longer imputed to me as a child of God. Romans 4:2-8. God chastens us in mercy when we sin

Acts3:19 may help you understand why we repent daily, just a thought could keep you from enter the kingdom , it's not being born again over and over again it's repenting God Bless you always peace be with you also Matthew 3:8

Verse 15 Jesus being baptized was not in repentance of sins like the rest of the imperfect people that were being baptized, but his baptism was a public declaration of his dedication to Jehovah God and his presenting himself to do God's will.

We just have to know that Jesus Christ is the son of the living God. Believe He died to shed His blood for us and with this mankind is saved......

The Bible is not a science book for someone to figure out. A lost sinner must come by faith alone nothing else and believe that Jesus is Christ the Son of God (who died and shed his pure sinless blood and was raised from the dead to pay for our sin). That is what I did 19 years ago believed that I was a lost sinner needed saved the Lord opened my eyes now I understand and know TRUTH the Bible.

@JP Again like a stated before religious people need to learn how to talk to people who don't believe telling me to read a verse that I have already read will do nothing for me if you don't have the answers to my questions or if your answer is going to be "Read such and such" then you're not equipped to even have this debate with me.

Hello J Jesus Christ the Son of God came to do 3 things 1. fulfill prophesy 2. fulfill the law 3. die and shed his blood to pay for the sins of the world and raised from the dead. His baptism was part of fulfilling the law. if don't understand any of this. You need to get saved (be born again) now. You are in your sins and separated from God. Please read John chapter 3 and Romans chapter 10.

J. The thought of Jesus God and the Holy Spirit beingone has always been difficult to wrap my mind around. the god called it the mystery of godliness in 1 timothy 3:16. Not all God did can be logically explained, if it could it would require no faith to trust what he said. Thebest explaination I have found is in somethiing God made, the orange. @Alex I was informed that Christ and God were on in the same so if they are the same how are they two different beings. I'm confused I specifically asked are god and Jesus one in the same and I was told yes now you are saying they are different. This is what I mean the inconsistences and the lack of definitive text.
