"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." ( 2 Timothy 3:1-7)
Remember Jesus' words: "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." ( John 16:33)
Four of Jesus's disciples were fisherman: Peter , Andrew and Brothers James and John.
Talking of the five fold Ministry comes from Ephesians 4:11. The Holy Spirit gives gifts to the Church as He Wills; with signs following. Men cannot appoint themselves.
We can all pray for the Holy Spirit to give us his gifts. 1 Corinthians 12. ( 1 Corinthians 12:28 ). 1 Peter 4:7-11
You will know if Jesus calls you to minister.
Find the chapter on the body of Christ. We're all part of that.
He called me. I sprinted out to Street and made a fool of me. I crawled home. After a while the Lord said: are you through doing it your way? ( such a quiet, non- judgmental voice) I said YES!! He will be our Teacher.
May God bless you. Mishael
For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' what it means to repent and how people have been deceived ( Rev. 12:9), we invite you to review the article 'Repent' on a world deceived.ca
And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
Luke 3:3
And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
Luke 3:8
Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
Luke 5:32
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Luke 10:13
Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
Luke 11:32
The men of Nineveh shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here. (Jesus)
Luke 13:3
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Luke 13:5
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Luke 15:7
I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
Luke 15:10
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Luke 16:30
And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
Lahniya McKithen is looking for a better understanding of Matthew 4:6.
The word 'lest' means 'in order that you not'. An example of lest is when you bring an umbrella in order to avoid getting wet.
It means: with the intention of preventing something undesirable to avoid the risk of something.
In Matthew 4:6 it meant that angels would protect Christ that He would not hurt his feet against a stone.
The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe.
For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' what it means to 'repent' we invite you to review the article 'Repent' on a world deceived.ca
6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
This is the chapter of Jesus after his baptism he fasted for 40 days and nights. Satan is out there tempting him.
Jesus is showing us WHO the tempter is: he uses lies, he offered to give kingdoms of the world to THE CREATOR of the world. Satan can only create chaosas we have seen in our American cities recently.
Also, Jesus is demonstrating TO US how to react to spiritual attacks on us, our loved ones. Ephesians 6, shows us how to fight back against spiritual warfare also.
Jesus wants us to learn this, AND teach it to other Christians. Jesus did not leave us here defenseless.
Like I did some time back: Follow Jesus through scripture and SEE how he does things; what he said, how he preached the Gospel. How he fought back at the demons and the religious people who had no knowledge of WHO Jesus is!
We're not just saved to sit around in wedding apparel. We have to have our Armor over it too. Be ready for anything.
This would be committing murder with the intent to do so. The word kill in thou shalt not kill is the word murder. There is a difference. If someone breaks into your home in the middle of the night, you have the right to defend yourself and your family. God forbid that ever happen, but in that case, your motive would not be to commit murder but to defend your family. It is the same for those who fight in a war. A person should never enlist in the military if their motive is to go out and kill people. That is what I told my son right before he went into the Marine Corp. I myself am also a 22-year military veteran. If that is their motive, then in their heart that would be considered murder. We see many places in the Old Testament where God sent armies of one nation to go in and wipe out another. God would not say thou shalt not kill and then turn around and command people to kill. You see, it's the motive of the heart. We are not to commit murder out from an evil heart and intent to do so. I hope this makes some sense.
Exodus 22:2 If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.
If a thief (you do not know why he is there, maybe to kill) is struck and killed you are guiltless.
Jesus in Luke 22:36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
Why did Jesus tell his disciples to buy a sword? Not to murder, rather to protect themselves and family.
1 Timothy 5:8 But if any PROVIDE provide NOT not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. (provide what? Food, shelter, clothing and PROTECTION)
TWICE Moses went upon the mountain and did not eat or drink for 40 days!
The 10 Commandments of Exodus 34:10-28 are specifically referred to as "the ten commandments" ( Exodus 34:28, Deuteronomy 4:13, 10:4)
There are differences in the two sets of Commandments. Which set are we to follow? Are we to combine them?
Verse four reads, "He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler". This is the promise of the present Life. He shall cover thee with his feathers, Christ's wings are both for healing and for hiding. ( Matthew 4:2), for curing and securing us, our God can always set an invincible guard around us, and cover them with the golden feathers of His protection.
You have to know what was going on during Paul's day. There were Jews during Paul's ministry that wanted to put people under The Law ( Acts 15:1), and Paul warned them not to believe in ANY OTHER Gospel 1 Cor 15:1-4.
John The Baptist preached this gospel to ISRAEL ...
Matthew 3:1-2
In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Acts 19:4
Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
Jesus Christ preached The Gospel of the Kingdom to ISRAEL.
Matthew 4:17
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Matthew 4:23
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
The Tribulation Gospel will be preached in the future to ISRAEL after The Body of Christ is taken out of here.
You see, WHAT Israel had to believe during Jesus' ministry is NOT The Gospel Paul preached to Jews and Gentiles in this Age of Grace.
Paul's Gospel is THE GOSPEL 1 Cor 15:1-4 we need to believe to be saved today!
This chapter is on first Adam and 2nd Adam. Some mentions to the Caught Up.
I will make notes on it tomorrow. For one chapter it's really full. I want to know your thoughts too.
And of course, the old Serpent was not far away to entice these sinless souls to committing sin so that now the sinless became the sinner, & so sin passed onto the rest of their descendants (us) through the flesh so tainted ( Romans 5:12). Satan was also around in this manner (as you may remember), when Jesus, God's sinless Son, was also tempted ( Matthew 4:1-11). Jesus was tempted on all points as we are ( Heb 4:15): "the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life". ( 1 Jn 2:16), but unlike Adam & Eve, He resisted Satan's thrusts & relied on God's Word, the Sword of the Spirit, to thwart Satan's offerings to Him. So now, all who believe on Jesus & trust Him for their salvation, are made new creations ( 2 Cor 5:17) who still have the body of sin, but now a new enlivened spirit touched by the Spirit of God ( Rom 8:9).
Jesus is coming back soon, so His Father can have our Glory of Creation He gave us long ago. But Satan took us and put thoughts in our mind turning alot of us away from the Love we could of had. Is it no wonder thru my trials l now turn away from man. Alone l talk to my God. In my heart l here His replies. I write what l know to help others. I wish years past l had not stayed in this world of evilness. I learned the hard way to get to my Father now. Am so Protected by Him. Loved by His Strength. Helping the less fortunate and seeing through the evilness the enemy put in them- I try to help. But most of the times mankind does not know that the heart if completely open to the Word of God, could stand as a rock and not move when the storm's hit. For they could become a mighty warrior for the kingdom of God.....
