Note how the Basic English Bible translates this scripture: "who made it not to be a waste, but as a living-place for man". This, along with many other scriptures( Psalms 37:29, Ecclesiastes 1:4, Matthew 6:10, Genesis 2:16,17; 3:19), gives clear, indisputable evidence of God's purpose for the earth.

Why should we not acknowledge people who excel at their fields, whatever that field. I do not feel it is my place to judge if someone should take money or how much they should take for the sport they play. I believe God is loving and gave us many beautiful gifts in life. I believe one of the gifts he gave us is the ability to take a skill level above that of other creatures and I believe that to truly acknowledge and serve God I need to acknowledge this. I do not believe it is up to me to judge what that person is paid or if their heart is clean in their acceptance of this pay. It is my job in my opinion to ensure that I am settled in my heart with the monies that I receive and that I act in a way personally to honour to God.

Matt 6:22 is actually speaking of the Pineal Gland. It is our third or first eye. It's the eye that close when Adam and Eve's "EYES" were opened. The Pineal Gland has the same fluid as the eye. It also has a cornea and a lens but most adults Pineal Glands hes a calcium phosphate biuld-up on it do to poor diet and lack of use.

As true christians, Mathew 6:33 is required of us to make the Kindom of God our priority, then all things will fall in place for our good and to the glory of God almighty.
  • Archie on Matthew 6:33 - 11 years ago
Jesus also gave a precise location for this Kingdom that we are to seek. Jesus has said that the Kingdom of God is within us. So, let us look within, keeping the gaze of our loving heart within - and that all that is needed. The answer to our troubles does not lie in the outside world. It is here within our very own breast. You are very close.

@Mic, there is a verse that talks about people having an "evil eye"... For some, they only see the worst in everybody. It's people who say "there is just something about that person that I don't like..." Though they know nothing about the person. The eye is the first thing that sees and then lust forms when the eye is full of darkness. There are people who see the worst in everyone... never have anything positive to say - always running people down by what they look like. Very judgmental. When the eye is dark, people are unable to "see" spiritually I believe.

Matthew 6:33,is what i call the master key to a world of unlimited breakthrough,it makes what other are running after to run after us,this is one key every true believer must possess, the desire to always attend to God and His kingdom first. Matthew 6:33 and Psalms 37:4, to me is the most powerful scripture in the bible. PEACE.

God even has a plan for us beyond what we can expect. With God there's no backup plan...not even a plan to backup the backup plan

Without God coming first in our lives we cannot please him.God is our source for every need in our lives. He will supply all your needs when you truly walk with him in spirit and ask him daily to direct your path, everything else is will fall into place when you live only to serve him in heart and soul.
  • Mike on Matthew 6 - 11 years ago
It is amazing to me(after 39 years of being saved by GOD'S GRACE)the lengths that people will go to overstretch a passage. This has NOTHING to do with tongues. It is the DIVINE LOVE & preeminent nature of OUR MIGHTY GOD to care for our "needs"through our submission to HIS WILL. "AFTER THIS MANNER THEREFORE PRAY YE".
  • Deecarrarar on Matthew 6:8 - 11 years ago
I believe 1Corinthians 14:2..."For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue, speaketh not unto men but unto God."
Until 1Corinthians 13:8-10 is fulfilled, I believe we can safely pray the will of God by using a prayer language that our carnal mind doesn't/can't interfere with. Our carnal words limit what we say to God, so our wants and our will are always in the way. As long as we are "thinking," those thoughts get in the way of Gods spirit speaking to our spirit. I find that after I speak my prayers in English, I use my prayer language to let the Spirit lead me, talk to me, and I know His Will will be done....Because He already knows what I need, I need to be able to HEAR it. God prepares our hearts, through His spirit, to accept the things we need. No expectations that are amiss and no disappointments.

its all about what i am in the Kingdom, how i dedicate myself to God my King,do i care that He is everything in my life? Do i put in my mind that He is the Master planner of everything i do? i should preach the word in season or out of season for the Name of Jehovah to be exalted in me and other who do His will all time

  • Martha Prince on 2 Kings 2 - 11 years ago
@Kristy Atchley,,,the God we serve is a loving and forgiving God yet it is the New Testament where we find more written about forgiveness. Matthew 18:21-22 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
Also, Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
  • George Ongera on Ecclesiastes 1 - 11 years ago
However much life may be, however sweet or bitter you may think of it, however much you may struggle to make yourself comfortable worldly, REMEMBER all is vanity… Seek ye the kingdom of God first and everything shall be added unto you ( Matthew 6:33).
  • Dube Guy on Matthew 6 - 11 years ago
Mind you Jesus taught people how to pray and not what to pray, that prayer that Jesus prayed was a model prayer. That means we have to lern something from it and not pray the same pray everyday. What does the bible says about praying? It says pray without ceasing a non stop prayer. So you can't pray the same prayer of Jesus everyday but you can pray the way Jesus prayed everyday.
