I understand your why. Do we follow tradition or scripture? Jesus addressed the Pharisees on traditions. The verse I love that highlight it, is Matt. 23:24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. It is the same with the wise men at the manger, and two of each animal went into the ark, and Jesus ate the Passover meal.
There are traditions and sometimes people defend them fiercely. We have some traditions with memories of family, friends, and loved ones passed down from generations. Tradition is for teaching and learning as the apostles did. On the other side, things can be added to, or changes made to traditions and become dressed as something else and take away or change the true meaning.
We must pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit to show us what we should not participate in and what we do we do unto the Lord. My understanding is Passover day was on the 5th day of the week what is called Thursday. This day started at sundown on the 4th day, Wed. and on that day, the Lord's Supper, the garden, the arrest, taken to Pilate, crucified and died the same time the Passover lambs were being sacrificed and He was put in the tomb before sundown, days start at sundown.
This would make the 6th day Fri. the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread which John called a high day, no work could be done other than to eat, the reason the women could not go to the tomb until the morning of the first day of the week, the Feast of Firstfruits with two sabbaths Fri. and Sat. I can give the scripture if asked.

*Repentance - turning away from all sinful evil works.
*Baptism in Jesus' name - being completely submerged in water with the name of "Jesus" spoken of you for the remission of your sins. His name is the one you must be saved by Acts 4:12.
*Receiving the Holy Ghost - being filled with the Spirit of God and when this happens you "will" speak in a different language "tongues". John 3:8
But don't take my word for it take his, Acts 17:11 "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."
See it happen for yourself in Acts chapter 2, 8, 10, 19, and 22. May the Spirit of the Lord be with you in your reading!! Halleluiah!!
Relative to the time you speak. The resurrection happened according too God the Father time line. Every word in scripture is vital. This question u ask, I am not sure of too this point and time. What is vital, is that, Jesus did die, and rose again!
Jesus said he would be 3 days and 3 nights in the grave. The traditions of men have Jesus dying on the cross Friday night and resurrecting early Sunday morning. Most churches do the same.....why? Don't they go by the Bible
Nehemiah 13:19, There's many more scriptures, hopefully you'll find them all helpful
Jesus observed the Sabbath & fulfilling the Sacrifice: Luke 23:17,54,55,56, John 19:31, Acts 13:27, Matthew 28:1, Mark 6:2, Mark 16:1, Matthew 8:17, Luke 4:21, Acts 13,
In looking at and comprehending Christ's unlimited attributes; we might think that with no surprises as to the assessment of men; that He wouldn't experience some of the reactions that He did. One notable example of this was with the Centurion who prayed for His child. ( Matthew 8:5-10). In His human emotions there was nothing wrong with this; in essence He was greatly rejoicing and "basking in the moment" as it were. Mark 6:1:6 shows the opposite example; that of the unbelief of those from His own hometown. This was righteous annoyance if not downright indignation; again not any surprise to the Son of God. Other times there are instances where He wept; careful study of those scriptures gives us insight as to WHY He did so; often associated with the unbelief and blindness of others. It should be noted that as the "Man of Sorrows" there is no verse showing Him laughing while on earth ( Isaiah 53:3). There is no die hard rule here; but we should carefully assess our reasoning for humor and ensure it isn't for inappropriate thoughts.
Again; it is clear that there were varied levels of depth to Christ's speech; particularly in regard to the parables which He expounded to the Disciples privately after declaring them openly. They were designed so that those who thought they could see were revealted to be blind. ( John 9:39; etc.) He therefore upbraided His disciples frequently for not understanding. To draw all men unto Himself; therefore meant all those the Father had given to Him ( John 12:32; John 6:37 for comparison). We see His temporary solitude with the Disciples after the death of John the Baptist be abruptly halted after the crowds followed Him. Since only some of the crowd was sincere; it shows the nature of Christ in continuing to meet their needs despite the grief of Himself and the Disciples. His priorities made such decisions to care for others above His own needs (coming to serve and not be served
I see Jesus Coming down the mountain, I must wait as He is fast and their are many following Him. I will only have a minute. I will ask Him as I look into eyes and I know He sees my heart through my leprosy, and ask Him "if He will, can He heal Me "?
This is the condition needed for us to be healed!
We need His healing every moment of everyday!
In the midst of people who want to get close, but are not in His way, we wait and watch predicting His next move! Oh, that my heart would be ready when I finally see Him face to face! As I hear Him say, "yes be thou healed!" Remember me Lord when you enter into thy kingdom!

Established in Exodus 28:1, described & defined & detailed in; Exodus 28, Ex. 29, Ex. 30, Ex. 31, Ex. 35, Ex. 38, Ex. 39, Ex. 40, Leviticus 1, note the Name, Aaron being in the Levi lineage= Exodus 2:1, Numbers 26:59, if you want to study the laws of the Priesthood all the chapters of Leviticus, I recommend.
Numbers 3:1-45, clarified who was allowed to be in the Priesthood. Note: Numbers 3:32, Numbers 4, breaks down duties of each family, within that tribe, separated by GOD specifically, Numbers 3:12-13, Numbers 3:41, Deuteronomy also describe the duties. This continued through the book of Joshua. King David & king Solomon, re-established the Levitical Priests; 1Chronicles 6:10, then again at the return of the Babylonian captivity re-established by Ezra, Nehemiah, Haggai, & all Israel that returned.
Therefore by these recorded accounts it appears the priesthood that existed during the moment your referring to in Mark 15, were traditional heirs of the priesthood as established, in Exodus. Respected & upheld by Jesus himself= Matthew 8:4, Mark 1:44, Luke 5:14,

Hi Roy. Briefly, the Son of Man is a title used exclusively by Jesus - His disciples never addressed Him as such.
Jesus used it to emphasize His humanity ( Matthew 8:20; Mark 8:31), though there were occasions where He used the title, Son of God ( John 3:18; John 5:25; John 9:35-37; John 10:36; etc).
The title, Son of Man, also goes back to the Book of Daniel where the Son of Man would inherit the everlasting kingdom of God ( Daniel 7:13,14). It is a designation of the Messiah Who would inherit God's everlasting Kingdom.
At His trial Jesus acknowledged that He was indeed the Son of Man - the one who would bring in God's everlasting kingdom ( Matthew 26:64,65). When the religious leaders heard this they accused Him of blasphemy - making Himself equal with God.
The purpose of the title seems to be Jesus' Own emphasis on His Humanity. And through His Humanity, doing the Works of God as none other had done before & bringing the Words of God as they never heard before, the people would also see that this was no ordinary man (as was believed, the son of Joseph & Mary), but One of God, sent by God. Jesus' Life even till His Death proved to at least some folk that this Son of Man was indeed the Son of God: they needed to come to realize this fact by observation, not by His proclamation.
Matthew 4:24, Matthew 8:8-13, Matthew 8:16, Matthew 12:15, Matthew 12:22, Matthew 15:20, Matthew 19:2, Matthew 21:14, Mark 3:10, Luke 4:40, Luke 5:15, Luke 6:18, Luke 6:19, Psalms 147:3,

Hopefully these help, comfort, direct & encourage you as you seek GOD & HIS healing
I believe it was to clearly point out the fulfillment of Prophecy. Please see:
Son of David prophecy : 1Kings 9:5, Jeremiah 33:17, 2Chronicles 7:18, Psalms 132:11,
The coming promise of deliverance : Jeremiah 23:5, Jeremiah 33:15, proclaimed: Matthew 22:24,43,44,45, Matthew 1:1,
Luke 18:38, some identified JESUS as by different names for significance to themselves, healer, deliverer
Son of GOD : Genesis 6:2,4, Daniel 3:25, Matthew 8:29, Matthew 14:33, Matthew 27:54, Mark 1:1, Luke 1:35, Romans 8:14, Matthew 11:27,

Additionally he was called the BRANCH : Job 14:7, Psalms 80:15, Isaiah 11:1, Isaiah 14:19, Jeremiah 23:5, Zechariah 3:8, Zechariah 6:12, proclamed: John 15,
I know this is probably cut & dry but in Matthew 8:12 it states (KJV) But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness..... Is that speaking of the earthly kingdom, aka Satan's kingdom? Matthew 25:30 states and cast ye the unprofitable servant out into outer darkness.... What is exactly the unprofitable servant & is it referring to Matthew 8:12 of the kingdom servant or Gods "servants"? Thank you
Deity is the only explanation for all that He was and all that He did.
(1) He was pre-existent with the Father. "The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made" ( John 1:2, 3, KJV). (Also see John 17:5 and Colossians 1:17.)
(2) He is the Son of God.
His enemies admitted: "He...said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God" ( John 5:18, KJV).
Peter confessed: "And we believe and are sure that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God" ( John 6:69, KJV).
Jesus affirmed: "I and my Father are one" ( John 10:30, NIV).
(3) He was sinless, as only God can be.
Jesus challenged His enemies: "Which of you convinceth me of sin?" ( John 8:46, KJV).
Peter testified: "...Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example that ye should follow his steps: who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth" ( 1 Peter 2:21, 22, KJV).
Paul stated: "For he...made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him" ( 2 Corinthians 5:21, KJV).
(4) He forgives sin, as only God can.
The Scribes said: "Who can forgive sins but God only?" ( Mark 2:7, KJV).
Jesus said: "But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins..." ( Matthew 9:6, KJV). (Also see John 8:11.)
Peter wrote: "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed" ( 1 Peter 2:24, KJV).
(5) He performed miraculous works.
He healed the sick: Matthew 8:9-13; Luke 4:31-44; 5:12-15; John 4:43 to 5:16; and other references.
He fed the hungry: John 6; Mark 8, etc.
He raised the dead: Luke 7:11-18; John 11:1-46.
Jesus Christ Became Man:
"And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us...full of grace and truth" ( John 1:14, KJV). (See also Philippians 2:7, 8.)
Hello Brenda. In this passage, three different men approach Jesus, no doubt they have been hearing His Words in past encounters with Jesus & sensing that they would like to be a part of His Ministry. My understanding of this is:
The first man (described as a scribe in Matthew 8:19) wanted to be a part of Jesus' team. But as was Jesus' Knowledge of people & the workings of their hearts, He spoke to the man that the life of discipleship can come with hardship & uncertainty. This ought to have been no problem to a faithful follower of Jesus, knowing that no hardship was too great to prevent service to the Master. But this man, as supposed, approached Jesus with a wrong heart, hoping for riches & recognition in Jesus' Kingdom. Jesus gave him a simple example that discipleship could mean not even an assurance of a roof over his head, let alone any other comfort or gain. The man turned away, maybe dejected that this life with Jesus was not what he expected.
The second man was a distant disciple of Jesus (i.e. not of the twelve disciples - Matthew 8:21). Jesus urged him to join them in their travels but he seemed to be happy to be a casual disciple without a commitment. So he excused himself by saying that he would follow Jesus after his father died & his responsibilities to him ceased. Jesus said that the message of the Kingdom was far more important, to leave his father & eventual burial arrangements to those who don't believe in Jesus or committed to Him.
And the third man gave a similar response to Jesus: that he wanted to follow Him but needed to say his farewells first. Again Jesus saw this man's heart & character; that he would be persuaded to remain at home for a longer time or even be persuaded not to be foolish & pursue such a life with no certainties. One who is committed to serve as a follower/believer ("putting the hand to the plough"), & then looks back (or, has second thoughts or easily distracted by others), is unfit for Kingdom life & service.
According to Strongs Exhaustive Concordance of the KJV Bible there are three variant Greek words translated devils.
The root word in his Greek dictionary of the New Testament is:
1142.
Transliteration daimn (Key)
Pronunciation dah'-ee-mown
Part of Speech masculine/feminine noun
Root Word (Etymology) From daio (to distribute fortunes)
a daemon or super-natural spirit (of a bad nature); - devil.
Matthew 8:31; Mark 5:12; Revelation 16:14; Revelation 18:2.
1139.
Transliteration daimonizomai (Key)
Pronunciation dahee-mon-id'-zom-ahee
Part of Speech verb
Root Word (Etymology) Middle voice from (G1142)
to be exercised by a daemon;-have a (be vexed with, be possessed with) devil (-s).
Matthew 4:24; Matthew 8:16; Matthew 8:28; Mark 1:32; Luke 4:36
1140.
Transliteration daimonion (Key)
Pronunciation dahee-mon'-ee-on
Part of Speech neuter noun
Root Word (Etymology) Neuter of a derivative of (G1142)
a demonic being; by extension a diety:-devil, god.
Matthew 7:22; Matthew 9:34; Matthew 10:8; Matthew 12:24,27,28; Mark 1:34,39; Mark 3:15,22; Mark 6:13; Mark 9:38; Mark 16:9,17; Luke 4:41; Luke 8:2,27,30,33,35,38; Luke 9:1,49; Luke 10:17; Luke 12:15,18,19,20; Luke 13:32; 1 Corinthians 10:20-21; 1 Timothy 4:1; James 2:19; Revelation 9:20.
demon - The Modern English word demon derives from the Middle English demon: from medieval Latin demon, from Latin daemon, from Greek daimn 'deity, genius'; in demon; also from Latin daemonium 'lesser or evil spirit', from Greek daemonion, diminutive of daimn.
devils - The Modern English word devil derives from the Middle English devel, from the Old English dofol, that in turn represents an early Germanic borrowing of the Latin diabolus.
The KJV translation is not a word for word or uniquely and infallible inspired representation of the Greek New Testament, and we should be cautious in choosing which English words in it we want to make our hills to die on without first consulting the Greek.
Thanks to Brother Chris I did some more research on why Jesus referred himself as the son of man in certain instances.
Part 1.
Jesus' favorite designation, in referring to Himself, was the "Son of Man." The Gospels record some seventy-eight times that Jesus used this title for Himself. For example, when He asked His disciples the question about His identity, He said,
Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am? ( Matthew 16:13).
Though the Bible does not define its exact meaning, the title "Son of Man" probably refers to the fact that Jesus was perfect humanity. He, as God, came down and lived among us as the perfect human being. By doing this, He fulfilled the Law of Moses and did what no other human being was able to do. By using this title, He is identifying with the people He had come to save.
It Is Connected With His Earthly Life
The title is connected with the earthly life of Jesus.
But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins - he said to the paralytic ( Mark 2:10).
Jesus said
So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath ( Mark 2:28).
Jesus also said.
And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head ( Matthew 8:20)
Jesus gave the reason for His coming to earth.
For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost ( Luke 19:10).
It Is Connected With His Sufferings
"Son of Man" is also connected with the sufferings of Jesus on behalf of humanity.
And he began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again ( Mark 8:31).
This Speaks Of His Exaltation And Rule
The title "Son of Man" also has to do with his exaltation and rule over humanity.
When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory ( Matthew 25:31).
Not sure who had answered & given scripture, but hopefully I can help.

Jesus gave instruction, I'm not aware of scripture in the Psalms specified for that. But David who is accredited as author of many of the Psalms written in the Bible, was able to have an evil spirit leave Saul, by playing music. 1Samuel 16, however this seems different, because note: 1Samuel 16:14, 1Samuel 15, note 1Samuel 15:23,

Another priesthood established after 400+ yrs of captivity of Israel in Egypt.

One who is committed to serve as a follower/believer ("putting the hand to the plough"), & then looks back (or, has second thoughts or easily distracted by others), is unfit for Kingdom life & service.

demon - The Modern English word demon derives from the Middle English demon: from medieval Latin demon, from Latin daemon, from Greek daimn 'deity, genius'; in demon; also from Latin daemonium 'lesser or evil spirit', from Greek daemonion, diminutive of daimn.
devils - The Modern English word devil derives from the Middle English devel, from the Old English dofol, that in turn represents an early Germanic borrowing of the Latin diabolus.
