About verse 22 This verse is telling us that God shall be the priority of all things in the world. When Christ called you you must forget your world priorities. When Christ said that Let the dead bury their dead ' he meant that all men everybody during that time were all sinners and nobody will be save. That was the reason why Christ came on earth - to save the world by explaining God 's commandments. He said to the concerned disciple that let his relatives who were all sinners, thereby be dead bury his father. And he. as he was called by Christ was surely be saved. This is the example of Christ to us of God 's commandment number one - Love God above all. Seek the kingdom of heaven first, and everything will provide to us what we are wanting in life here on earth and beyond.

You must know his voice and Jesus and his words be obediant be under authority to the word as well.

I like to believe that our diseases are already healed, " through his stripes we are healed " to me that means physical healing. Praise God! Keep the faith!

In this verse Jesus is responding to a man who is waiting for his father to die and then he would have sufficient funds to follow from the money gained through the inheritance. Jesus is saying when I call you follow me and I will provide. A verse that comes to mind is Psalms 37:25 Many people intend on serving Christ, when I get out of High School, or College, or when the kids grow up then it 's when I retire. No excuses.

Here we see Jesus responding to a religious man who, if taken in context, was caught up in the moment. The first part of this chapter we see Jesus doing numerous miracles. No doubt this man was in the crowds excited about the miracles but not the Savior. John 2:24 25 show Jesus and his ability to see the heart. Israel was God 's chosen nation and to say that a Roman gentile would be in heaven and a Jew wouldn 't must have been a shock to those in the crowd. They were the physical heirs to the kingdom and they missed it by eighteen inches. Salvation will only come to men like the centurion who understand their spiritual poverty: Lord I 'm not worthy to have you come under my roof! Matt5:3 On the other hand those who think they can make heaven by a their works will fall short. In Romans 10:3 it states they were ignorant of God 's righteousness and tried to establish their own. When a man crosses this line he begins a standard which he himself can keep and he turns a deaf ear to the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God and now becomes his own God.

This is a amazing statement coming from the lips of Jesus. We see Jesus in his humanity surprised at the response of a Roman centurion. In John 2:25 we se that Jesus had the ability to see the hearts of men, also in John 1:47 48 we see Jesus revealing to Nathanael facts about a man he had never personally met. This would be the God man.

Hello Mike: John 17: 17 "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth ". So do I understand that you do not believe that Jesus calmed the sea? Do you know of any human man that calmed the sea? I believe that God calmed the sea. God is the only one that can control the waters on this Earth. Why do you think the bow rainbow appears in the sky? This is a reminder for God not to destroy this earth with water, Genesis 9. In the end, the word of God is true.

For you to assume that the people that witnessed Jesus calming of the sea as not divine and all peoples being gullible to His works...you, yourself are gullible to the temptations deceptions of this fallen world. Truly I say God bless you.

First dead are those people who do not remenber God.Those people who never do any work for the sake of God.Who never try to find God in themselves.For God these people are also dead or of no value.Spiritually these people are dead for God.Second dead are physically dead people in the world.Christ told his followers that these types of work burrying etc. are for worldly intended people because they have no inetrest in God.You are now awakend towards God and now do that works which help you in spiritual progress.

Seems like they were just as gullible back then as a lot of people are today. What part of calming the sea, automatically concludes that one must be a god, or son of a god?

What a blessing to study scripture Jesus healed the leper why? Jesus loved the leper, the leper had faith in Jesus. As important, he told the leper to go to the priests and offer the gift that Moses commanded. This was to allow the priests to see first hand the power of Christ. See how the scripture states "testimony unto them "? This is their opportunity to seek the Master. Then we have the Roman centurion Jesus was not surprised at his faith "marveled " simply means he made a big deal out of it to show his disciples what an exercise of faith truly is.

Jesus was not shocked by the centurion 's faith He just hadn 't encountered anyone with that kind of faith on earth yet. Just know that nothing shock Christ because he is all man and all GOD.

In my view, Jesus mission is not just about healing but also preaching. If He stays in one region just to heal many people then how can anyone else in another region be known to them the good news. Jesus dont focus on carnal things but He also extends His teaching in spiritual realm so that nothing is hidden.

Means any one who want to follow Jesus christ must be selfless and determine. And not fight for worldly things.

The Leper knew the ability of Jesus, but His willingness he does not know, hence, he said, if you are willing, you can... To access the willingness of God, you need to worship Him.

I think that jesus was just fulfilling what he said in Mathew 5 vs 17.

The faith of the centurion was amazing and the way that Christ re enforced that faith. Yes Christ is the son of man but by faith entrusted to him by the centurion was not physical but a spiritual faith. Christ did not have to actually touch his servant to heal him but he saw that spiritual belief in his heart. Just imagine this FAITH shocked Jesus Christ himself.

Matt 8 24 What a trust! Jesus was calm and asleep not because he was ignorant of the stormy feature of the sea and also not because of his own ability to still the storm.He was calm and asleep because he was very confident that his wellbeing is his father 's and our father God preoccupation.

I I got out of it,that i know god will heal,right now I 'm being in pain on my right side of my upper body its bad pain just to move,but i belive that god is going to heal my right side and deliver me from this pain,and give me a testimony.

I am looking for more revelations on verse 12 ...the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth,...

God is an awesome God, He can do all things and every thing because He is the creator of everything and everyone Praise His Holy name, all we have to do is believe in Him and exercise our faith in Him. I understand priorities in being a disciple of Christ. I 'm having difficulty understanding why those left behind to tend to the dead are considered "dead. " That 's like saying all that attend to burials and ceremonies are dead in Christ.

The Holy Spirit Led me to read this scripture. I picked up my Bible, the section of Matthew chapter 8, was missing, torn, so then I google the information, then read, meditate on this particular type scripture.

Matthew Chapter 8 I 'm going through the storm right now I 'm trying very hard to keep my faith the devil tries to get at me but I always remember that God ie Good and He knows what I need and when I need it He is a good God I know that God is real I have faith that my storm will be ending very soon
