    To STANJETT

Reviewing all your vain 'Rhetoric' ( Matthew 15:9), it is obvious that your mind has been corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ ( 2 Cor. 11:3; 1 Timothy 1:3; 4:1; Hebr. 13:9; 2 Peter 3:17; Jude 4).

Please study who the 'Holy Ghost' is and what it means to sin against the 'Holy Ghost' ( Mark 3:29; Luke 12:10).

Matthew 9:12. They (the believers) that be whole need not a physician (Christ), but they that are sick (sinners). Trust us; the large majority of people on this website are 'not well'.

Seek, and ye shall find ( Matthew 7:7).

    In His Service.

    On MATTHEW 9:16,17

By nature every person is born in sin through the sinful seed of their natural fathers and conditioned therein ( 1 Peter 1:23). For that reason and in order to become a son of God, which are born of God, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God, a person must be 'Born Again' ( John 1:12,13; 3:3-7; 1 John 3:9; 5:4).

By attending a man-made institution a few hours a week ( Acts 7:48; 17:24), does not mean that a person can make a claim that they are followers of Christ and 'Born Again'. That is falsehood, as in truth they follow after an image of a false god and a false Christ ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; Rev. 12:9). This is how Satan has transformed Himself into an angel of light ( 2 Cor. 11:13-15).

Only through 'True Repentance' will God be able to reveal Himself, and adopt you as His sons and daughters ( Rom. 8:15,23; 2 Cor.6:18; Gal. 4:5; Eph. 1:5; Hebr. 12:5; 1 John 3:1).

The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It actually means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18).

For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' of what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom mankind has been deceived ( Rev. 12:9), and what people must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ( John 14:17).

You need not that any man teach you ( Isaiah 54:13; 6:45; 1 John 2:27), It is only by revelation of God that you will come to know Christ ( Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1). It is a narrow way that leadeth unto 'Life', and few there be that find it ( Matthew 7:14).

I think the Lord is saying during these times is to work and fear not for he will be with you, as in chapter 2:4-5. The Lord is calling his people to be holy, 2:13-14 Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these , shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean. (I believe he is speaking of fornications) Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, says the Lord; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean. No matter how much a person goes to church if they do not get their hearts right, that which they offer there will be unclean. In Matthew 15:19 For out of the HEART proceed EVIL thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. ***( Jesus said these are evil thoughts)*** Jesus said in Matthew 15:17-18 Do you not yet understand, that what so ever entered in at the mouth, goes into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? But those things that which proceed out of the mouth come fourth from the HEART: and they defile the man. Matthew 9:3-4 And, behold, certain of the Scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth. And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, wherefore think ye EVIL in your HEARTS. Once again in Mark 2:6-8 But there were certain scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their HEARTS. Why does this man speak blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God only? And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said to them, Why reason these things in your HEARTS? Mark 3:4-5 And he said to them is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath days or to do EVIL. But they held their peace. And when he looked round about him with ANGER, BEING GRIEVED FOR THE HARDNESS OF THEIR HEARTS, he said to the man stretch fourth your hand. and he stretched it out, and his hand was restored whole as the other. READ PROVERBS 4:23 about the heart, I hope this helps someone.

    Chris,

I am in complete agreement with everything you said. I would just like to piggyback on your comments if I may. This is just something that I was taught.

Jesus says, nobody puts a new cloth on old garments. The ladies here probably already know that. Once it is washed, the new cloth is going to shrink and it is going to pull away. You don't put new cloth, unwashed cloth, on old garments.

Neither do you put new wine into old skins. The word bottle is the word skins. What would happen is that if you have new wineskins, and you have fresh wine and you put it in, as the wine expands, the skins expand. And then when the wine is fermented and the skins harden, that is it.

Now if you turn around and put new wine in those old wineskins, and the wine starts to expand, it is going to break the skins. You got to put new wine in new wineskins, not old wineskins.

So what Jesus is saying to them is you don't put the Holy Spirit into old religious people, they will break. With Jesus it is "Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be broken!" (My own personal paraphrase/not biblical). If you are governed by the law, you won't make it. New life in new wineskins, and new cloth on new garments, the other two don't mix.

Victor, Mt 9:16,17 shows Jesus speaking to John's (the Baptist) disciples. They come to Him asking the reason why they & the Jewish leaders fasted regularly, but Jesus' disciples did not fast. To that question, Jesus told them that while the Bridegroom was present, those around Him would be happy. So Jesus carries this thought to another illustration: of repairing clothing & reusing old wine bottles. Just as happiness & a wedding go hand-in-hand, so to using the correct repair cloth or new wine bottles were necessary if no damage was to take place.

Here, Jesus is the Bridegroom, His Coming & Teaching is the 'New piece of cloth' & the 'New wine'. Jesus is comparing His appearing & messages at this time as those that were radically different to what the Jewish leaders taught & that He came to fulfil the Law. If they tried to fuse the new cloth onto the old, the damage would be worse, as also putting new wine into old wine skins. He said that you cannot mix the new with the old or else there will be some major damage not only in defective teaching & living, but also of no eternal life in Heaven.

23 And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise, 24 He said unto them, Give place for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. 25 But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose. 26 And the fame hereof went abroad into all that land. .... ( Jesus uses this circumstance to prove to them /us HE has power over death, never-the-less in 2020 the world was shook over death by the pestilence. The 2020 death by the pestilence is the same death above and Jesus still has HIS power over death /it, plus Eternal-Life, according to John 3:16-21.

Verse 42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath SAVED thee.--How many did Jesus save while on earth (not sure) but many. -- Matthew 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. -17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

God's word is perfect, if I am caught conducting myself or presenting my self in a way that is ungodly, I would respect the one to insult me or tell me the truth to keep me from going to Hell. It is far better to be insulted and embarrassed in your ways and go to heaven than it is to be respected for your views and spend an eternity in Hell's consuming fire.

Stanjett, Gary, gave a reference to answer your question. His heart may be in the right place, it's not the right answer. That refers to a woman's natural monthly cycle. This condition has been with her 12 years. The answer as to what it is, may not be important? It was witnessed by several people and that's probably the important thing to take away.
