Linda L. Duffany - I don't believe so. If you read that verse in context with the entire chapter, I believe it says affliction won't come again, it will be worse, there will be an end for the vile. (I'm paraphrasing)

There is one thing the Lord God hates which also opposes His nature of love and humility, and that is PRIDE. YES pride. We all should have integrity which is self respect and honesty but not pride as if to exalt ones self.

@Bruce: Nahum 1:2, "the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies." 1 Thess. 5:9, "For God hath not appointed us to wrath." The wrath of God is NOT for Christians. It is for God's enemies. It will be poured out during the Tribulation. Christians will not be here then!

God Is Powerful

God shouldn't have to keep reminding us that all sins is displeasing to him. We have the right to honor Him

God knows the heart of man. He knows who trusts in Him when trouble comes. Run to Him. He is a strong tower. He will KEEP you.

I am reading this because I am not very familiar withthis book

I think it is very good book my preacher preached from this book telling us was his first time to preach it i found it shows Gods power and reveals what he will do for those who don't stay in his laws and word he gives chances but the people of nineveh just fell back to wicked ways. Like most of people in USA n world I pray for our country n world amen

Verse 7: God can read hearts and he knows the hearts of those who trust in him.

God is showing us his power, strength and his greatness. We don't have to fear when god is our God. Great is our God and great is his faithfulness

If you are suffering check your offering, for there is no Hero in a defeated camp.

This chapter talks og God,s mercies and wrath against sin. God will punish sin but willing and ready to accept the sinner at repentance. He is slow in anger but quick in love to forgive and the good thing is he warns His people. We need to heed His mercies and come to Him quickly. This message was also repeated in Isaiah.

Great Book of God , notice how the many that practice total humbility today are in their second flesh which may be fallen , they may see all spiritual with a new powerful gift(s) and with their gray eyes but God can still humble his sight to them . Praise God and be careful !

The Lord is good and a strong hold in trouble. He know them who have trust in him. Jesus is a good shepherd who laid down his life to the sheep. A sheep who follow Jesus will know his voice. We live in a day when we can easily miss that an idol can be one of us. Many are lording over God's flock and are themselves enemies of God, yet they become famous and promote their own name and list great lists of their own accomplishments. We need to humble ourselves before God, for the Lamb himself is the one that treads the wine press of the wrath of God. Certainly He know those that are His.

PARADOX. Our Everlovivg Abba Dad is always with us and for us in and through His Son our Blessed Lord and Majesty King to come Christ Yeshua Jesus Amen. No matter what lies ahead Gods Word the Word of Life will always prevail. Put the whole Word on and fight and do what He says to do. All Saints eyes will be open once again Glory to God Amen. GOD, keeps HIS word

Vs 2,3 may seem condescending, but that is not the case. Jehovah God is indeed slow to anger and great in power, but will by no means hold back punishment where punishment is due. So we all should examine our steps so as not to be counted as one of God's adversaries. We each reap what we sow.

Any graven image is idol and will make God angry, and I have seen in the real life, the painting artist has cursed in their life, because they invite darkness in their life.

Truly the Lord God is Good , and that is saying it mildly cause I really cannot comprehend the totality of God 's goodness : Nevertheless I can have a taste of it here in this life : Oh !!! taste and see the goodness of our God. God also knows whether or not I fully trust Him : I do Trust in the Lord with all my heart. He is my strong hold : my Shield : my High Tower my Buckler my deliverer my healer : my protector : my Preservation : I am preserved : I cannot spoil : I am kept in safety wherever I go. The list goes on and on : Oh : Taste and see that the Lord is Good.

As far as you abide in christ jesus and trust his finish work on the cross he will perform that which corcerns your life.The fire and storms of life will not stop you.His grace will speak in every situation and enrmies you see you will see them no more in jesus name

The LORD is faithful and true. The wise will lay their burdens at His feet and trust in Him in all things. He is the great Creator and caretaker of the universe, who better to trust? certainly not the so-called leaders and wise of this world! Stay strong in the LORD my brothers and sisters in Christ and enjoy your day.

Paints a glorious picture of Jehovah Raah. God cares about His sheep. Praying for Christians being persecuted by islamist n other terrorist that God would save themfrom their prey, break the yolk of affliction, cause them to dwell in safety because of His presence. Ipray Nahum 1:9 that God put an utter end to their affliction that it shall not rise again. Shalom.

Nahum shows the ultimate ends of the spectrum with God. He is omnipotent with power to do anything, but is compassionate with those who trust Him.

I firmly believe that the word of GOD is what It is. not what it intended to say . Nahum 1v3 say the clouds are the dust of God feet I believe it is true
