You are correct. 1 Timothy 2:11-15 gives us instruction concerning function in the church, how God has designed it to be. Verse 11 says "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection."
That is the number one command. What is the woman's role in the church? Learn, in all submission, or subjection.
In Verse 12 Paul says But I suffer not, that is I do not allow a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man.
We're talking about doctrinal issues in the church. A woman is not to teach, nor to take the authenticity of man, don't take over for him, but to be in silence. That's just what he said. They are to learn in silence. The reason is found in Verse 13.
The church is to function in the order God has designed.
Now to the church in Corinth, Paul wrote this: But I would have you to know that the head of every man is Christ. And the head of the woman is the man. And the head of Christ is God.
There is a type of chain of command that God has established way back in Genesis Chapter 3. And that command is followed in the church.
It's not talking about women not having the same ability, or being better than a man or a man being better than a woman. It has nothing to do with that.
We're talking about responsibility of function. God has chosen the man to pray, and to teach. And He's chosen the woman to be the man's helpmate and to represent the church.
This is God's proper order for the church. Putting the woman in a position of authority over the man in the church would be out of proper order, and would go against how God intended the church to function.
We're talking about responsibility, not one person is better than the other. And God says that if the man functions this way, and the woman functions this way, the church will be fine, and the home will be fine!
Hi Cam, If I may add unto some of the scripture S Spencer has already provided. The key to our faith and understanding is to read the KJV bible on a daily basis and a lot of our questions will be answered.
Mark Chapter 10:14-15, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
Acts 1:7-11, And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Yeshua is the real Hebrew name for Jesus. Jesus is the english name for Yeshua. So Angel Gabriel must have been speaking in Hebrew to Mary. Hence Yeshua is the name angel Gabriel used. Whatever the case it is in order. Our God know we do not speak the same languages. In our national language, Jesus is called 'Yesu'. In my Meru mother tongue Jesus is 'Jesu'.
Be blessed.
Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord Jesus is our strength. Refer Nehemiah 8:10b.
Psalms 2:8, "Ask of Me. and I will give you nations for inheritance, and the ends of the earth for possession"
Nehemiah were courageous to take the stand that he did, because he had faith, we can do the same as God people if we keep the faith, God fought his battle ,and he will fight our.
V.9 - " ... and all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law." There are a very few that will understand what I am going to say. At every church service - I weep; especially during the song/worship service, and many times during the Pastor's message. It's the sweet spirit that is there , touching everyone, but some don't respond as I do. Jesus is all there is to me.
V. 5 - " ..... and all the people stood up." And Jesus stood to read from Esais (Isaiah) in Lk. 4. To stand at the reading of God's Word, to give Him respect, honor and glory; the least we can do (and so much more!!!) for what He did for us. He loves to be honored and glorified by His people, because it's what He has taught them - because He loves them; just like any father.
Never, realized so many miracles performed by God to the rebuilding of the wall at Jerusalem. Even starting with the king whom Nehemiah left to fulfill Gods work to build the wall with the materials needed.

The LORD HAS provided the best of food and drink to his people to eat and to share with those who do not have any so he is to be glorified as it is holy to him.
Give to those that have nothing of my abundance : Do not be sorry about it : The joy of the Lord is my strength : For this day is holy unto our Lord. Set apart for His Glory !!!! This is a very encouraging scripture !!!
It depends where you are looking for your Joy? God tells us to be angry and sin not. Anger is part of the grieving process as long as you don 't get stuck there. Ultimately our Joy should come from God...The writer of 1 John is telling us he wrote this epistle to tell us how to get that Joy verse 4...I 'm reminded of Nehemiah 8:10 The Joy of the Lord is our strength...We need to read all 5 of the epistles of John to find out how to obtain and KEEP our joy.
preach the good news of the gospel. verse 8 10 sums it up for eat the fat drink the sweet and send some to them who have not any prepared for them. the JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH. THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH. THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH. THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH. THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH. THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH.
Eat drink of the goodness that God has Blessed me with to those that are without give for this day is Holy unto the Lord . Neither will I be sorry for the joy of the Lord is my strength. I Praise God for His goodness bestowed on me I am so Blessed to be a part of the family of God. I am so Grateful to be able to have a copy of his word . His word is very precious to me.
Just preached about Nehemiah 8:10. The people had every reason to burst into tears because of their history of sin and punishment, which was touched by the reading of the books of Moses. But Gods message at that point is: rejoice! and have a feast devoted to me, for the joy in the Lord is your shelter. because the Lord is merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth (Ex.34:6). So He proved to us in Jesus Christ. Rejoice in the Lord always!
This comment is to Andi Meekcold. Jesus came to bring life to all who will believe in His death, burial, and resurrection. He took your sins upon himself, Andi, so you would not have to go to hell. He is our sacrifice for sin. We receive the atonement through obedience to Acts 2:37,38. Repent(ask forgiveness for all wrongdoing and turn from evil), be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ, and the Lord will fill you with the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues. He died for you, Andi. Find an Apostolic Holiness or United Pentecostal Church and attend to hear what you must do to be saved. God bless you.

According to 1Corinthians 14: 34 , 1 Timothy 2: 11-14 women are not to teach Bible to men. However, I see
many churches women are teaching Bible today. Is this correct?

Should answer your Question about whether Jesus is still in the grave.
Infact there's no shortage of info on Jesus in the scripture, It's a matter of believing!!
You would have to read all the scripture and believe in what's given.
God bless.
Be blessed.
