    THE BEAST

Revelation 1:1 THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST ........ and he (the Spirit of Christ) SENT and SIGNIFIED IT (the REVELATION of himself) to his servant John:

Most think Revelation is a prophecy of anti-christ; even though, the WORD says it's the REVELATION of JESUS CHRIST.

The ENTIRE word of God is the voice and words of JESUS CHRIST, different men through the ages have taken pen in hand and recorded the WORDS of Christ, yet, they are Christ's words, not the words of the one who penned them.

These are Christ's words, REVEALING himself to the carnal mind of man:

Revelation 4:7 And the FIRST BEAST was like a lion, and the SECOND BEAST was like a calf, and the THIRD BEAST had a face as a man, and the FORTH BEAST was like a flying eagle.

Are these FOUR BEAST four different things, or, are they four descriptions REVEALING JESUS CHRIST?

Scripture says, NO VERSE is the private interpretation of the verse itself, but has to be understood by applying other verses of scripture to understand.

We have to find the interpretation of Revelation 4:7 in other scriptures to understand.

Numbers 24:7 He (the Spirit) shall pour the water out of his (Christ's) buckets, and his (Christ's) SEED shall be as many waters (peoples, tongues, and nations) and his (the Spirit's) king (Christ) shall be higher than Agag, and his (Christ's) kingdom shall be exalted.

Numbers 24:8 God brought him (Christ) out of Egypt; he (Christ) hath as it were the strength of a unicorn (ox): he (Christ) shall eat up the nations his (Christ's) enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows (words).

Numbers 24:9 He (Christ) crouched, he lay down LIKE A LION, and as a GREAT LION: who shall stir him (Christ, a lion) up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee (Christ, the Spirit of prophecy), and cursed is he that curseth thee (Christ, the spirit of prophecy).

LOOK to the scriptures; all FOUR BEAST, the lion, the calf, the man, the eagle, are CHRIST.

    God Bless You!

    NUM. 24

    cont.

The Star comes from Jacob, the Sceptre, comes from Israel. Balaam saw Christ in a vision, but said He is not to come now. He beholds Him, but His coming is not nigh. The Messiah will smite Moab and destroy the children of Sheth. He shall possess Edom and Seir and Israel shall do valiantly (overcome them). The Messiah will dominion and destroy those who still remain (at His second coming)

Balaam prophesies concerning Amalekites and the Kenites (Midianites). They both will perish and be wasted. He speaks of Chittam (Cypress or Greece) coming against Asshur (Assyria) and Eber (I don't know who Eber is as a nation nor Sheth of vs. 17)

After completing his prophecy, Balaam left Balak and returned home. Balak went home, too.

It is really awesome to see in this account how God MADE Balaam speak what He willed and Balaam could not do otherwise!

God's power is overwhelmingly great and able to accomplish whatever God wills. No one can stay His hand, nor truly oppose Him without being judged to enter the lake of fire in the end. Some may think that they can outsmart or overpower God's will, but they are wrong and deceived to think so. This chapter names nations that the Messiah will judge and waste, But I think this is a way of speaking that those who oppose God will be wasted as these nations were wasted.

The rebellious who dig in and resist God's will to the end of their life or at the second coming will be spending eternity in the lake of fire experiencing unending torment. So, we must pray for those without Christ to be saved and speak to them what God's Spirit tells us to say to them. We who have come to faith and taste of the goodness of God and His grace towards us have a responsibility to share how we came to be blessed with salvation and forgiveness of sins. We need to explain what happens at the final judgment to encourage those who believe and prompt those who don't to turn to Christ to be saved from our sins, death, and the lake of fire.

    NUMBERS 24 CONT.

Fist, Balaam speaks about his eyes being opened. Since he was not blind, I think he is referring to a spiritual "seeing' or acquisition of knowledge of God he did not previously possess. Then he speaks of his vision. Then his words turn to Israel, speaking of the goodness of Israel's dwelling place-tabernacles, tents. I think he is speaking of Israels place of favor and blessing with God, not the physical tents. ballam speaks admirable words about Israel (vs. 5-7) prophesying that Israel will be great-exalted int the land.

Vs. 8-9 Balaam speaks of the strength given to Israel by YHWH and how Israel will defeat their enemies thoroughly. ballam proclaims: Blessed is he that blesses Israel and cursed is he that curses Israel. God had promised this to Israel in Genesis 12:3 and Genesis 49:9

Balak was furious and took Balaam to task about how he had hired Balaam to curse Israel but blessed them instead once again, this third time Balak tells Balaam to flee from him to his home. Perhaps this was a threat that he may be harmed if he does not leave Balak right away. Balak mentions how he wanted to promote Balaam to greater honor but blames YHWH for preventing it. Balaam answers that Balak's honor and treasures could not make him go against the of YHWH. Balaam say he could not do either good or bad in his mind, but only what the LORD saith, he must speak. God compelled Balaam to do this. If Balaam could have done bad he would have, but the LORD costrained his mind to only obey YHWH's command to bless Israel with the word God gives him and the power of the Holy Spirit makes him carry out God's will.

Balaam then tells Balak to listen while he advertises (announces) what Israel will do to Balak's people (Moabites) in latter days.

Then Balaam again speaks of his vision, opening of his eyes spiritually and the knowledge he acquired from the Spirit.

In vs. 17 YHWH gives a magnificent prophecy through Balaam concerning the coming of Jesus...cont..

In this chapter Balaam again is instructed by Balak to curse Israel. Balaam, however, realizes that the LORD wills that Israel be blessed. Balaam at least realizes that the LORD's will cannot be resisted in this situation and that he will only be able to bless Israel. Since in previous times, Balaam resorted to divination, using types of enchantment to discern what he is to prophesy or what the future may hold. These actions are not what God wants people to do, but Balaam did not have the law as Israel now had. Although he was a prophet of YHWH, Balaam was syncretic in his approach to prophecy, thinking he needed to do certain sacrifices, rituals, and sorceries to be allowed to hear from God. In this situation, God works through Balaam despite his wickedness.

Balaam decides to go into the wilderness instead of offering sacrifices on a mountain top "high place" where Baal is worshipped.

The wilderness he went into overlooked the camp of Israel. Whereas before God told Balaam what to say and Balaam obeyed, this time God bestows Balaam with the Spirit being put upon him like God did for the Old Testament prophets of Israel and Judah. Under the influence of the Holy Spirit, Balaam begins his parable to bless Israel.

In verse 4, Balaam speaks of hearing God's voice, and gained knowledge from God, and had an eyes open vision of God Almighty. It doesn't say his reaction to this vision, but in other instances of prophets having visions of God (Isaiah and Ezekiel come to mind) they were forcibly laid prostrate before the LORD as though dead until the LORD lifted them up. They realized their sinfulness as they experienced the holiness of God. But Balaam does not speak of any of these things. But I imagine he was humbled and knew that He could do either good or bad from his own mind, but only what the LORD says he must speak )(Vs.13)

When Balaam beheld the camp of Israel, the Spirit came upon him and he begins his parable (blessing and prophecy).

Hi Steven. I'm unsure whether this verse is what you're looking for - it's the only one I could think of.

Numbers 24:21,22: "And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock. Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive."

This is Balaam speaking after receiving a vision & hearing the following words from God (v4: "(who) heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open"). When we get to the part concerning the Kenites, Balaam took up this parable (parable here, according to the Hebrew lexicon & specific to these words from Balaam is, 'a prophetic figurative discourse'). For the same Hebrew word ('mashal'), has a variety of definitions, but particular applications.

So verse 22, seems to be the prophetic utterance by God through Balaam about the dismal end of the Kenites.

Did Enoch not die in the flood? No. He is with the Father.

If Cain's descendents died in the flood, why are the Kenites talked about after the flood? Numbers 24:21-22 further showing that Kenites came from Cain and survived the flood.

The sons of Anak the Anakin also survived the flood. They were the giants in Genesis 6:4 & Numbers 13:33.

It is written that Noah brought on the ark two of ALL unclean flesh and seven pairs of clean flesh. Then he was to bring the animals, birds and insects.

The animals are mentioned AFTER all flesh.

Why do they the Kenites walk the earth now? They claim to be Jews but are not. Name stealers.

    About curses...

In the Old Testament ( Numbers 22-24) when the Israelites were about to enter Hanan the king of Moab Balaam asked the prophet Balam to curce them for him. Balam told him that he will pray to God and what God tells him that he will do.

This is what God said to Balam: (amongst other)

Numbers 23:23 " Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel..."

Numbers 24:9 " ... Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee."

If that was true for Israel at that time, then how much more that is true now in NT that we have Jesus Christ's Blood as a shield against evil things? Didn't Jesus said that we have authority on satan? Luke 10:19 "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you"

Tom, The word of God is a parable. The Spirit of Christ wrote the Bible.

Revelation 19:10 .... for the testimony (the words) of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Matthew 13:34 All these things spake Jesus to the multitudes in parables, and without a parable spake he not into them.

Numbers 23:7 And he took up this PARABLE ....

Numbers 23:18 And he took up this PARABLE .....

Numbers 24:20-21 ...and he took up his parable ....

Job 27:1 Moreover Job continued his parable ...

Job 29: Moreover Job continued his parable ...

Psalms 78:2 I will open my mouth in a parable ....

    Ezekiel 17:2 ... and speak a parable ...

    Ezekiel 24:3 ..... utter a parable .....

    Micah 2:4 ..... take up a parable .....

Habakkuk 2:6 Shall not all take up a parable against him .....

Know this is what happens when you don't BELIEVE GOD when he says he speaks in parables.

Proverbs 26:7 The legs of the lame are not equal, SO IS A PARABLE IN THE MOUTH OF FOOLS.

Heaven is a parable of the place GOD LIVES.

Colossians 1:27 ...this mystery .....CHRIST IN YOU .....GOD LIVES IN MAN

The angle of the Lord is a ministering Spirit (the Holy Ghost) the angle of the Lord is GOD, therefore that ministering Spirit (the Holy Ghost) is planting his SEED (inpregenating) man with TRUTH AND LIFE; creating man in the IMAGE OF GOD.

YES, ANGLES (MEN, that has left this body of flesh, and BECOME ministering spirits being BORN AGAIN (FATHER by the HOLY GHOST) and ONE WITH CHRIST are inpregenating creation with the SEED OF GOD.

    Hi Rick,

I'd keep reading. Seek the truth and open yourself to learn who God really is and what He will reveal to you. Pray for wisdom and understanding. I wouldn't stop after one section and make conclusions before you take the entire context of the Bible into account. There are logical explanations for your questions.

For your food question if you continued reading you would have naturally found Acts 10. There is much more info in the New Testament about what law applies today, because there is moral law, civil law, and ceremonial law. The latter two were specific to Israelites. You would also read a verse like this: Matthew 5:17-20

Regarding your other questions you would eventually read verses like these:

    1 John 5:7-8

    John 1:1

    Genesis 1:26

    Genesis 11:6-7

    John 10:30

    John 8:19

    Philippians 2:5-8

    2 Corinthians 5:19

    John 1:3

    Matthew 28:19

    1 Peter 1:2

    2 Corinthians 13:14

    Deuteronomy 6:4

    John 14:10

    John 20:28

    1 John 2:22-24

    Isaiah 7:14

    Matthew 1:23-25

    Hebrews 1:8

    Isaiah 44:6

    John 1:18

Some OT prophesy of Jesus to come:

    Isaiah 7:14

    Psalms 72:9-10

    Micah 5:2

    Numbers 24:17

    Genesis 22:18

    Gaone Mothibi,

The Bible never says there were three wise men. The literal Greek word is the word MAGOI for wise men. It's where we get our English word magic and magician from. They were sorcerers.

They had come from the east. And in tracing back in history, and in tracing out the magi which they're called in English, back in the book of Daniel, as well as the book of Numbers, the magi were from the Mesopotamian area.

They never traveled in a small group, so it's unlikely that there were just three of them. People come up with the number three because of the three gifts that were presented but the Bible never says three wise men. We don't know how many there were that came, and we don't know their names.

They were actually a cast of Persian priests who were involved both as priests, as well as in the science field. They carried both aspects about them because they were involved in astrology and astronomy. In their priesthood in Persia, they relied on the stars, they relied on magic, and they relied on sorcery to gain their messages and to perform their function.

They believed that when a great person was born upon the face of the earth that a cataclysmic event would happen in the stars which is kind of interesting. They believed that this great man's angel is up in the stars and this cataclysmic event will happen right before he is born.

They literally predicted the birth of Alexander the great because they saw the cataclysmic events that happened in the stars and they knew that a great man had been born.

Why would the event cause them to come to Jerusalem? Well, in the Mesopotamian area, back in the days of Balaam, if you remember when Balaam prophesied, in fact, in Numbers 24:17, Balaam prophesied and said a star would come out of Jerusalem.

This was the same area that these priests came from. They had Balaam's prophesies. The Jews should have know the exact day that their Messiah would come. They missed it. But the magi knew!

The use of the word unicorn is incorrect. And this isn't the only location in Scripture where a unicorn has been supernaturally embedded in Scripture in the King James version. Numbers 24:8, Job 39:9-10, Psalms 29:6, Psalms 92:10. Another example would be in the book of Revelation chapter 1. The word candlestick has replaced lampstand in 4 locations. Revelation 1:12-13 and twice again in verse 20.

"Unicorn" occurs 6 times in 6 verses in the KJV, including 6 exact phrases shown first.

    Num 23:22

God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

    Num 24:8

God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.

    Box Job 39:9

Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib?

    Job 39:10

Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?

    Psa 29:6

He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.

    Psa 92:10

But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

    so what is going on?

According to Revelation ( Revelation 2:14), Balaam told King Balak how to get the Israelites to commit sin by enticing them with sexual immorality and food sacrificed to idols. The Israelites fell into transgression due to these traps and God sent a deadly plague to them as a result ( Numbers 31:16).

That was then, today is the now. We have the salvation of Jesus Christ with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to help us avoid pitfalls that lead to sin. We have the Bible to show us how to follow Jesus.

The Book of Romans is a good place to start, but I think John chapter 3 is. When no one wants to be our friend; you will always have a friend in Jesus.

Some people have had real life experiences with the awesome Love of God. I always thought God was way way up in the sky somewhere. I didn't think he could hear me asking for help. But I found out that is not true. He is as close as your next breath. He cares about all of our needs. We just have to begin some conversations with Him...called praying. He talks to people but it's best to be born again ( John 3), so you can get your ears tuned to His Voice.

See if Isaiah 1:18 is desirable to you.

When I first came in here I read a lot of posts on the Testimonies Link. Many have posted how the came to believe in Jesus. Everyone of those is a real person.

Interesting observation by Peter Walton on an event that occurred in 1833, when the earth was showered with a spectacular display of meteors penetrating the atmosphere.

But is that what Christ was referencing in Matthew 24, when He spoke of stars falling to earth?

Is the reference to stars a reference to actual meteors, or is it a metaphorical reference to something else?

I think a study of Revelation and other passages in Scripture will lead us to the conclusion that the stars, in the context of Matthew 24, was more a reference to people in positions of leadership. Don't we often, for example, refer to someone with great talent or accomplishments as a Star?

See Numbers 24:17, for example. Here, Jesus is described as a star. See also Daniel 12:3. The reference to the stars, just as to the Sun and the Moon, might best be understood as a reference to people, governments, heads of state, people of influence.

Jesus was the Bright and Morning Star.

Before Pentecost, the Holy Spirit would come upon men as He chose. Balaam is an example here, but remember King Saul? The Spirit came upon him and he prophesied with the sons of the prophets. However, like Balaam, he was never saved. Today, when we get saved, we received the Holy Spirit and are sealed unto the day of redemption. He is our 'Earnest'. Once saved, always saved! Praise God!

Once saved, not always saved! And even greatest gifts and calling of God on a man, does not guarantee a lifetime of doing God's will, or entrance into the kingdom of God. Whatever Balaam had at one time, he evidently thought better to have the gifts and favor of the heathen, than the blessings of God's people. Even though he once spoke good from God for Israel, he after connived to make them sin.
