Discuss Numbers 34

Just a little on when Jesus returns.

Scripture tells us Jesus returns only one time, Zachariah 14:4 Matthew 24:30 Acts 1:11 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 Hebrews 9:28 Rev. 1:7 Rev. 6:15-16. When Jesus returns those who are chosen and faithful are resurrected to reign on earth with Jesus, Rev. 17:14 Daniel 2:44 Daniel 7:26-27 2 Timothy 2:12 Rev. 5:10 Rev. 11:15.

This reign on earth begins after the tribulation and the armies of Satan, the beast, the false prophet, and the ten kings/countries of the beast who destroy mystery Babylon come to battle Jesus in the battle of Armageddon, Zachariah 14:1-3 Ezekiel 39:17-22 Rev. 19:17-19 Rev. 16:13-16. In Rev. 20 we see Satan bound and sealed in the bottomless pit for 1000 years. Jesus then sets up the Kingdom on earth and we see the judgment of those in the first resurrection who will be reigning with Jesus on earth for 1000 years Rev. 20:4-6.

The 1000-year Kingdom will be on the earth, but it will be very different from the world today without the temptation of Satan, Isaiah 65:25 Zechariah 14:16 It will be a time when Lord Jesus and those chosen to rule the nations with an iron rod so that all the promises of God be fulfilled, all the boundaries of land God promised Abraham have never been, Genesis 15:18-20 Numbers 34:1-12 but they will in the future.

We know from Rev. 20:7-10, that there will be nations after the 1000 years that Satan will go out to deceive and bring them together to battle. After this battle, a fire burns up the earth and Satan is cast into the lake of fire, "the earth and the heaven fled away" The final Judgment of the white throne is not just for the lost, and all in this judgment who is not found in the Book of Life will be cast into the lake of fire, Rev. 20:11-15, Daniel 12:2 Matthew 25:32-46 John 5:28-29.

    God bless,

    GiGi on Numbers 35-YHWH instructs...

    1-YHWH

    2-Yahweh,

    3-Yehovah,

    4-Elohim,

    5-Adonai,

    6-HaShem,

    7-Yahusha

    8-YEHshia

    9-Jehovah

    10-YEHvah

These 10 are one.Wouldn't they be the name of the father of the Jews? John 8:44-45.

I am asking because according to the Word of GOD-the Word is GOD-, Acts 4:11-12 say:

11-JESUS is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

12 Neither is there salvation in any other:for there is none other NAME under HEAVEN given among men, whereby we must be saved.(Yes, there is none other NAME under HEAVEN except JESUS,that is the NAME that the own GOD chose for He Himself.JESUS said:I and my Father are One- John 10:30.And in the fourth Day after Adam,or around 2000 years ago,JESUS said: My Father worketh hitherto(it was still the fourth Day),and I work- John 5:17). In my understand,GOD was never called by nicknames as above listed. The name of GOD is only one:JESUS.

I don't quite understand why people lend credence to Kabbalistic and esoteric, and spiritists, sources(?)Think about it.

"Yehovah", "Yehovih", et al. as above listed, are considered sacred names in Kabbalah,so what? I find this absurd. But what does the Word of GOD say? 1Tim.4:1-2:

    1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly,that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith,giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

    2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy;having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of GOD:because many false prophets are gone out into the world- 1John 4:1.

    1Jn 5:19-20:

19 We know that we are of GOD,and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

20 And we know that the Son of GOD is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, even in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

May our Lord GOD bless and keep us,and give us His protection, now,and for ever.

    Amen

In this chapter, YHWH designates the borders of the land promised to Abraham that the Israelites will possess. Reuben, Gad, and the half tribe of Manasseh had already chosen the land east of the Jordan river as their allotment. (God had promised to Abraham the land east of the Jordan east to the Euphrates River), The rest of the 9 tribes and half tribe of Manasseh were to settle west of the Jordan river. The allotments were to be divide by lots (which God chose the outcome). This way, the distribution of the land will be fair and according to God's wisdom, not man's desires. Eliazar and Joshua would be the ones to work the lot to determine the allotments. Even though these two were godly, they could easily have sinful motives creep in if they were to decide on the distribution from their own desires. A prince (leading elder) from each tribe was named by YHWH to represent their tribe during this part of the allotting of land. With God doing all the choosing, no Israelite could accuse any other Israelite of being unfair nor could any Israelite have cause to bicker about what they received nor could they bribe or coerce anyone. It was God's choosing from start to finish.

In defining the borders, I noticed that Mt. Hor at the edge of Edom is mentioned to be where Aaron died, but another Mt. Hor was mentioned as being part of the northern boundary. These are two different mountains. The northern one is near the coast in northern Palestine. Notice the land that Reuben, Gad, and the half tribe of Mannaseh were to possess the land east of the Jordan eastward to the sun's rising. So, it seems they could possess the land as far eastward as they wished up to the Euphrates River.

This receiving of the land allotments reminds me to be content with what God has provided for me in this life. It is all only temporal, and like Abraham, we look to be inheritors of the city built by God kept for us in heaven, the New Jerusalem.

    Islands of the Sea

    Wesley's Notes for Isaiah 41:1

41:1 Keep silence - Attend diligently to my plea. Islands - By islands he means countries remote from Judea, inhabited by the idolatrous Gentiles. Renew - Strengthen themselves to maintain their cause against me; let them unite all their strength together. Near - Unto me that we may stand together, and plead our cause, and I will give them free liberty to say what they can on their own behalf.

[you can use the search (box) engine to read all of the "islands of the sea" or "isles" scriptures]

This is what I was taught: that these islands are actually other continents bordered by water (seas or oceans). Presumably Gentile. No where near the Mideast regions.

The Sea of Galilee, the Jordan River, the Red Sea and Mediterranean Sea are mentioned a number of times in both the Old and New Testaments. Each the the three bodies of water serves as geographical boundary markers in Numbers 34:1-12.

    Ezekiel 26:15-18 (sounds like NYC)

    Jeremiah 2:10-11,

    Jeremiah 31:10, Isaiah 60:9,

    Isaiah 42:10, 11:11, 24:25, 66:19, Daniel 11:18

The USA is bordered on 3 sides by water and would be considered an island.

Hello Tamyra, Proverbs 4:20-27 has some nice instructions for the children of God, thinking of the borders of our ears, eyes and heart.

Re: Free Will.. The mere fact of even questioning in a public forum of whether we are free agents means you have it. eg- The two and a half tribes chose to stay and live in another area not originally designated by God. God is loving because He gives us the choice of choosing to obey or not. He is loving because He also tells us of the consequences. May the Lord's peace be upon all who choose to obey Him.

The only thing chosen for you was life. How you live your life is up to you. That is free will. choose truth and life and you will live for ever.

Jehovah God made sure that all had an allotment of land in the Promised Land. This shows how orderly and just that God is to his people.

Day 36 of Bible Reading in a Year. So much information. I would love to have the time to take and read this with maps in hand. It is so interesting that God did not give them the idea that they were conquerors in the way that other nations and leaders view conquests have and are still today. That is God gave them land and not anymore than what He said he would give them. They were to be Holy.

If our life is already chosen for us, how can we possibly have free will? To genuinely have free will our lives cannot be chosen for us. If our life is chosen for us, we, by definition, have no say in the matter of how our life will play out because it has all already been decided for us.

Wether you are poor, mighty or small, the LORD has a plan for us all,to heed to signs and open up our eyes, our life was already choosen for us,but he is just and fair,he gives us free will and it is then up to you,at the end of our days what side will we be standing on?,when all feels lost dig deep within, for we can find his holy light shinning brightly for all to see, even in the darkest places...

In choosing who and who is to be a leader or who head a department, we need divine direction. Moses did not choose these leaders but God did it Himself. That is y we need God the most when it comes to some critical issues. May God continue to lead us in Jesus name.
