I truly believe there is something in all of us but we must stir it up. If we get pass what people think of us and take root what God says we are, then and only then, we can set the course for greatest.

I lost my third child when i was going to give birth, if I had known this message i would have carried to to the hospital and it will be a song on my lips and that tragedy wouldn 't have happened to me. But this time around I have a tool and weapon which is this quotation. I will say it to myself over and over again for my next pregnancy. The devil is a lair. Amen

This world is so difficult to live in and I long to be gone from it and be with my Lord and Savour Jesus Christ. Yet, we who live have a purpose and, whatever that purpose is, it must be fulfilled! ... A witness for Christ 's love: The devil tried to kill me once many years ago by hitting my temple very, very hard with something yet my temple itched and my hand got in the way of the blow while scratching it. Another attempt was when my son rolled the pickup during a storm, caving in the cab. When I realized we were going to crash, I laid down in the seat and literally went to sleep. At the hospital the doctor came in shaking his head while stating, "I don 't believe it. I just don 't believe it. I saw the accident report and how bad it was yet here you are with only a severely bruised heart and a broken back bone does not even require casting. I just don 't believe it. " With a smile I told the doctor, "That is because we have a heavenly Father looking out for us. " Then this doctor said something I shall not forget, "Then He must have something very special in mind for you two. " My son had minor bruises. The conclusion? We who love the Lord Jesus are in this world for a reason and happiness is in realizing this and accepting the task given when it arrives.

v.6 - no matter how far we may stray from God, he will always be with you. Once the Lord has started something he will not call you home til he has finished that work in your life. God wants to use individuals to carry out his work, we just must be willing.

  • Gail on Philippians 1:6 - 10 years ago
I think it means that if you have salvation and then walk away from God, that he will bring you back to him at some time, because he did start a good work in you and he will complete what he started in you, I find this scripture a bit confusing though.
  • Bankole Moses adaralegbe on Philippians 1:6 - 10 years ago
The integrity of whoever is promising you anything matters. God as we all know has never abandoned any of His project before. If He has said it,then it is settled. Your circumstances now is never a factor, because whatever He has started , He will finish it,just trust Him He is going to finish that thing He has started . That dream of a brighter future is coming to past very soon. If He has said, go and relax , just follow His instructions, He will not fail you . You are going to shine again, you are not going to die an unfulfilled fellow IJN .

For I reckon that the suffering of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. PRAISE OUR HEAVENLY FATHER and His HOLY first born SON.

To the BROWN FAMILY, AND the State of Missouri. I extend scripture Romans 8 35 39 who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? as it is written, for thy sake we are KILLED all day long we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that LOVE us. For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor principalities, nor power, nor things present, nor things to come.

If God has called you to be His then no matter how far away you try to run He will, in the end, bring his plan for your salvation to fruition. My son believed when he was young then got mixed up with ratbags and wrong crowd. We just kept praying for him and visit him in jail and when he got out he still prefer drugs etc. Then one day he was so close to death and says that story is between him and God we 'll never know full story but now he 's living for God, telling everyone about the power of God for salvation...He GOD who began a good work in our son 10 years ago will complete what He began.Praise the Lord!

Want to comment on R.L.collins. 21.3.2014 No murder had taken place in the garden of Eden it all happen out of the garden when the lord banished them out. Genesis 3 23

Chapter 1 verse 15 comment. I am wondering what this verse has to do with Cain and Abel! Of course I agree with Marian Moel 's comment that no murder was committed in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve had no children in the Garden. They had Cain and Able and all the other children after they were sacked out of the Garden.

Anything we ask God He will do it, not only for us to believe that He is God but we should also take the burden of projecting God 's image through the gospel of our Lord Jesus christ no matter what it will course us.

It is a wonderful thing to be able to share the blessings of his word. I can imagine how Paul must have felt while teaching in Philippi.Tom see the word in action as the word spread and the church grew. May God add a blessing to the reading of his Holy word and a blessing to you all, as well.

V 6 He that hath began a good work in me will perform it until the day of Christ. I thank God he doesn 't give up on me, I know he has began a good work and even tho I might mess up once in a while he is still working that good work in me
  • Samoel khamadi on Philippians 1 - 10 years ago
This is one of my favorite books, a master class. Paul encourages believers that God will finish the good work he has begun in us. We should be encouraged with this. At times we feel we cannot make it to the end. But we thank God for his assurance in verse 6. Amen.
