The message of the Gospel (Christ's Work at the Cross) was primarily to release man from God's required penalty of his sin & to also provide a lasting & sure means for his forgiveness & acceptance into the family of God. The fear of Hell must first be accompanied by a fear & hatred of sin. How can we run to the Saviour if we don't believe we are sinners or having sin that will not be judged by God? How can we run from Hell if we don't believe that it is our sins that send us there? Then any fear of Hell will only be like an errant child who fears the whipping given by his father: while the fear is there, he behaves himself, but when the father is absent, the child plays up. The boy might trick his earthly father by showing his goodness, but a man cannot trick Almighty God by showing his fear of Hell but not of his sin. However, that fear can most certainly be a catalyst for the sinner to see his pathetic sinful condition & run to the Saviour.
In India, where I've had some ministry, one can sometimes see, in a Hindu home, a 'picture' of Jesus alongside the other idols being worshipped. Why is it there? Essentially, because of fear of the unknown/future. Believing that the more gods that can be worshipped, the greater the chance to get a better future, being the imperative, rather than seeking a god, the True God, who can save a person from the 'guttermost to the uttermost'. You need to talk to your friend about his sin (as each one of us are sinners), & present Jesus Christ to him, that He might first run to Jesus for salvation & not try to run away from Hell which will give him no hope or assurance.
I had many people tell me to my face that anyone as evil as me could not possibly get saved! They'd walk off laughing. It felt like a knife in my baby Christian heart.
God is bigger than anything you've ever done. His offer of forgiveness and salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ, stands....24 hrs a day, 365 days a year.
There is no Sin that the blood of Jesus Christ cannot wash away completely. Confess it. Be sorry for it. Open your mouth and say...to God...I need Jesus to come into my life now. I receive Him to be my personal Lord and Savior. Wash me, raise me as a new creation. Seal me with the Holy Spirit. I believe you will NEVER leave me nor forsake me. Holy Spirit: teach me About Jesus. I open my heart to receive all that you have for me. Whatever you need; ask the Lord. As He has forgiven you; now in pure faith, you forgive those who hurt you. Do it till it takes root in your heart.
You will be amazed how light you feel once all of the past, drops off of you.
Every day, say good morning to your Heavenly Father. He loves his kids! Some future day you will bow your knee and whisper: I love you, ABBA (which means, Daddy God). His arms are big enough to hug all of His kids.
He loves you. Mishael

Revelation 4:2: yes, that does show John viewing One sitting on the Throne, but when you read further in Revelation 5:6-9, we also see Jesus (God's Word sent to be made human, but now ascended to sit at God's right Hand). And we know that Jesus & God are there in Heaven by this verse & also Romans 8:34. So God's Word was made flesh & called "Jesus" but raised as 'God Who is also Man' in that Body fitted for Heaven, even as we shall be in that day ( 1 John 3:2). And yes, it was God's Plan from the beginning to have His children enjoy intimate fellowship with Him. And God is His Fullness (i.e. the Father, His Son & His Spirit Who are God in Unity) do enjoy such fellowship with His children. Each cannot feel differently about us (i.e. God cannot have fellowship with us, but the Son says "But I don't like that person, let's have a chat about this Father"). God is One & that Oneness is seen in His expressions of His Son & His Spirit & in their Unity & complete agreement.
Jesus as a 'created Being': Jesus' Sacrifice as a Man does indeed have spiritual consequences but cannot be seen as a spiritual Sacrifice. He was fully human & fully God, yet laying aside some of those Divine qualities for the purposes of the Incarnation & Sacrifice ( Philippians 2:5-11). To enable us to be convicted, to draw us to repentance, to give light & understanding, to renew us & fill us, to sanctify us & to raise us up to the heavenlies, is the work of God's Spirit. And Who is this Spirit? The self same Spirit that is part of the Father & the Son.
1 John 3:9: that's a separate subject that can be discussed if you desire, as its meaning needs analysis. Though the concept of sinless perfection is concerning. Blessings.
Isaiah 9:6
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Jesus Christ is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
John 1:1-18
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? BUT WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST.
Philippians 2:5
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Romans 7:25
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with THE MIND I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
Romans 15:6
That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Testimony by Mishael: I questioned the Lord one day; shortly after salvation, on these scriptures.
I said, Lord scientists say we only use 10% of our brains power potential. How come?
I was sitting waiting for reply. The Holy Spirit said the first scripture above.
Jesus doesn't have limitations on intelligence. He created it. You can thank the Lord for knowing his mind. There's no limitations. Some things we are unable to receive, because of the "Nay-sayers" that tell us we can't do that. "It's not scriptural'.
God doesn't withhold good gifts from His children. I asked for better memory and then I RECEIVED IT BY FAITH. My Bible studying and prayer life bloomed! My thanks to God, is using what he gives me.
You are not limited on asking in child-like faith for what you Need; not wants. Let all your requests be made known to God. He's your Daddy; ABBA. He knows what is good for us. Receive it. Give thanks. Give doubts the boot, out of your heart.
I used to write scriptures on notebook paper and post it on a cabinet near the stove. I'd be stirring things and had time to look at it.
Read it out loud. Look at it. Hear your voice saying it. See? Those are the mouth gate, the eye gate and the hearing gate. You're going to learn those scriptures easily. Just keep doing it till it flows right out of your mouth from Memory. You have His Mind at last. There are no limitations on what you can learn now.
If your kids hear you say it enough, they will learn it too. :D 1 Corinthians 2:16
Yes, I am a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The standard I only desire to use is God's Word, and this is the only standard anyone can use regarding the truth( John 17:17).
Whether we, still imperfect in our sinful flesh, can "know" if we are saved or not is a good question. God tells us to examine ourselves, to see if we are in the faith( 2 Cor. 13:5). We examine if we are walking in agreement with God.
The whole of God's Word shows us that once we are born again, we become a new creature( 2 Corinthians 5:17). We are to be dead to our old ways. Dead to the ways of the world, because the world is wicked( 1 John 5:19). We are not to continue practicing sin( Titus 2:12, James 1:27).
We will still sin because we are still imperfect. ( Romans 7:23-24, Philippians 3:12, Ephesians 4:13). The difference is we do not continue PRACTICING sin, or WILLFULLY sinning. God does not judge by appearance, but by the TRUE state of our HEARTS( Luke 16:15, John 7:24).
If we continue our old practice - our dead in our sins way of living AFTER we become saved, we were never saved/born again to begin with( Hebrews 10:26, Hebrews 10:38-39, 1 John 2:15, 2 Peter 2:20-22).
We are still in the world but we are not of the world( John 17:16, Romans 12:2). On the contrary, we are tasked by the Lord to be examples & witnesses to the world( Philippians 2:15, Matthew 5:14, Romans 10:9-11, 13-15, 2 Corinthians 4:13).
This, I believe, is the "key" to knowing whether or not we are truly saved. If we truly believe.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Luke 11:9
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.
Luke 12:31
But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Philippians 2:21
For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.
Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Acts 17:27
That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one.
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
It is time now to put your foot down on the devils head, and start following Jesus for real. People followed Jesus all over for just free loaves and fishes. There arrives a day when you must follow Jesus because of who he is: the Son of God! If you give your heart to him and follow him; read His Bible every day; you can ask for what you need.
John chapter 3. You must receive Jesus and be born again. Confess everything.
1 John 1:9 Begin your new life in Jesus. Learn how to stomp on satans head in
Ephesians 6. For you and your family. It's time to get serious about what you believe in. Matthew 26:31-46
Jesus is coming back soon and we all have to be watching for his appearing.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. 2 Timothy 3
If you'll take a little time and read these passages, you'll be a whole new person.
Then God can help you defeat your enemies. Get your children saved through your testimony which is a very powerful thing.
I'm agreeing with you that God will undertake and oversee a brand new beginning for you. All those scriptures prove that Jesus is going to help you.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 20: 31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
ACTS 4: 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Philippians 2: 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Matthew 10:32
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
Luke 12:8
Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
1 John 4:15
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
John 12:42
Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
Romans 14:11
For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Philippians 2:11
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Revelation 3:5
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Romans 15:9
And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
John 9:22
These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
May Jesus be your Peace, Mishael

Personal experience it is like to many new believers it's learning everything again but better.
I thought just the other day about this issue.
Like learning to talk, eat, walk & act all over again, in the Spirit
Like not going places that cause sin before, not saying hurtful or offensive words etc.
Mathew 25:31-46, Mathew 7:15-24, Philippians 2:4-15, Jude 1:21-25
The Lord is also the God of the dead: Revelation 20, Philippians 2: 10 & 11, and Romans 14:9 > "For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living". "Might be" is now is! Now that's cleared, I offer sympathy if someone you cared about recently passed away
The following is my personal experience and my thoughts about what happened. Furthermore, I admit that I didn't want to answer your question because I knew it would draw out the haters. But I couldn't forget your question and now know that it's right to answer from a unique experience
I hadn't seen a dear aunty of mine for a long time due to being abroad. She was an older sister of my mother and was actually more of a good mother to me. She was suffering for a long time, but no closely related relatives told me when there was time because they're narcissistic. I found out very late about it when I phoned relatives overseas, but she was asleep. It was just before she passed away. So it was the most distressing grief I've ever been overwhelmed by
So, I cried to the Father God and told him how I missed her so much and never got the chance to say goodbye. Then when I was out walking on a sunny day, some time within 15 days of her passing, I suddenly sensed the presence of an angel who told me in the spirit that someone wants to speak to me! I'm glad I was given that bit of preparation, or else I would've closed up out of fear. A minute later, her spirit &soul appeared, asking me questions that she would've asked, but never got the chance before. I answered her questions while they walked with me. This lasted about 10 mins. Then 2 days later, they came back for a final brief visit, in my home, so she could see my lifestyle & for me to explain my circumstances to her
So it's possible but rare& only if God allows it for a brief time window (up to 15 days, maybe 30, of the death of a saved soul, escorted by an angel). I didn't ask for that, but u may
We will still sin because we are still imperfect. ( Romans 7:23-24, Philippians 3:12, Ephesians 4:13). The difference is we do not continue PRACTICING sin, or WILLFULLY sinning.

This, I believe, is the "key" to knowing whether or not we are truly saved. If we truly believe.

Now go soak up some teaching on"Authority of the believer, by Charles Capps on Youtube
Feed your faith.
Do you believe that God will break all of the promises He has made to Israel, the "apple of His eye?" ( Zechariah 2:8).
Are you convinced that He will just forget His chosen people ( Deuteronomy 7:6, Isaiah 44:1, etc., etc., etc.)
God is the Judge ( Psalms 54:1).
You search the Scriptures to try to condemn God's chosen people and call Jews cursed.
The Olive tree that your are trying to be grafted into as the wild branch are these same cursed Jews? Look at Romans 11:16-22.
And what are you going to do with the words of Luke in Acts 28:26-29?
Are we not going to believe another promise of God just so you can condemn our brothers?
26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
29 And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.
Will the Jews that love God not see and understand when the Messiah returns;
and "every knee" will bow? ( Romans 14:11, Philippians 2:11)
Page 2
I read verses such as 2 Peter 3:17 which directly states
"Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things BEFORE, BEWARE lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, FALL from your own stedfastness."
And, to use your verse pointed out; "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" ( Philippians 2:12): Why would Paul say this to his followers if he did not mean it?
So then; "Let us "Study to show ourselves approved unto God ( 2 Timothy 2:15) and "LABOUR therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief" ( Hebrews 4:11).
The clothes that we wear in heaven can be seen from Revelation 19:8; as the clothes (white robes that WE have washed) put on there are woven from the righteous acts we perform here on earth.
My point concerning death is simply that when we die our body returns to dust and our spirit returns to God. I don't believe that anyone in heaven that is with the Father (on the right side of the gulf) is walking around without any garments on.
If we believe Christ rose, then so does everyone else that dies.
Matthew 27:52-53 was a onetime event to show to all living at that time that Christ defeated death (look at 1 Corinthians 15:54-55, Hebrews 2:14).
Death is another name used for Satan.
God made 2 great lights.
God set the 2 lights in the firmament (the opened hearing ear) of Heaven. Hear, O Israel.
The greater light is the first and greatest commandment to rule the children of the Day who are to love God with all of their heart, soul, mind and strength.
The second, lesser light is like the first. to love our neighbor as ourselves. When we have love for one another, all people in this dark world shall know we are His disciples ( John 13:35). We shall shine as the stars in the darkness of this world. We are to love even our enemies who hate us. In doing so, there is rule over those who are of the night in the darkness of their minds as we let God avenge us ( Romans 12:19) .
Mark 12:29-31 KJV
(29) And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
(30) And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
(31) And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
He made the stars also.as we shall shine as lights/luminaries in the darkness of this world in the doing of His 2 greatest commandments. And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth.
Philippians 2:14-16 KJV
(14) Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
(15) That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Holding forth the Word/Saying of Life: that God is Light.
(16) Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
to be continued...
2 Peter 3:17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. 18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
Colossians 1:9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
John 15:4-5 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
My comment is that no-one can preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ unless they know Him well. It is a sad sight when someone preaches the Word, but then falls/turns away from the Lord, or puts Him on a shelf to go seek after other gods, money, fame, women, etc.
As soon as I came in, I saw all the comments. The Holy Spirit said one word:
FELLOWSHIP.
That's what we do here, mostly lol. I was reminded of a couple of things: Genesis 2:19, God brought the animals etc to see (with pleasure) what Adam would name them. That's a lot of critters so I'm thinking it was a daily time together.
Genesis 3:8, and they heard the voice of God !!! Walking in the garden in the cool of the day. I know I like walking, early evening. Forget the sin and stuff... God likes to walk with us. It could happen if we were ever in tune with Him.
Watching in the night before Him. Listening. Talking to Him like he was in the room too?
Fellowship. We were made for all kinds of fellowship, but primarily with God, through the Holy Spirit. He's NOT a floating ghostly vision: He is a Person. He would comfort us if we would let Him!
Watchman, Watchman, what do you see ?
Since you are all excellent searchers of the Word; here are some places of scriptures concerning 'fellowship' between us and God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, through the intercession of Jesus for his saints.
Psalm 130:6, Psalm 19:2, 1 Corinthians 1:9
Ephesians 3:9, books of John 15, 17
Philippians 2:1-2, 3:10
1 John 1:3, 6, 7. And more to discover...
One time I was reading Ezekiel and got to the Valley of dry bones. When God said for him to prophesy! Every hair on my body stood up and when he said THUS SAITH THE LORD...my knees gave way.
He is so majestically Powerful, it takes your breath away.
You can have a relationship /fellowship with the Godhead!
Those scriptures will change from words on a page, to the living Word Of God! Alive, living in your heart, your mind, the text you write.
You all need to ask the Holy Spirit for the Gift, of discerning of spirits. Covet the best gift: word of wisdom. Receive it. Gifts and callings are irrevocable.
It is that distinction that many fail to see. The Coptic Manuscript should not be taken on its own. It might be the oldest, but that doesn't mean it is correct. Taken in context is is clear the import is The Word IS God, 2 Peter 1:3. He is Devine.
We can look at Jesus' prayer to the Father at the Mt. of Olives ( Matthew 26:39): Jesus, in His mental agony of the great cost of redemption of mankind before Him, cries to the Father to remove this cup of suffering from Him, but that the Father's Will only be done in this. Did God sympathize with Him & said, "Yes Son, I will spare you, the world is unworthy of my Love"? We know that God's Will was that the full payment for sin & man's redemption was the sole purpose for Christ's coming to Earth. Jesus, as a MAN in pain, cried out to the Father for relief, but the Father's Response was that, pain & death had to be endured for the 'greater good' that mankind can once again be restored.
What I've shared here DaLanie, is that we must, as God's children can come to Him with our praises & also our concerns. He delights to hear us & answer us. But we have to take into account that His Answers to us will always be according to His Will, His Perspective of the situation, & His Timing. We may feel that He doesn't hear us, or that He isn't seeing the situation as we are seeing it, but we know that our loving Father makes no mistakes & His Will will be performed to the last detail. So hang in there & look to Him expectantly & be thankful for all that transpires in this legal matter. You can use human means that are available to you (nothing wrong with that, as God works through all people; e.g. doctors, politicians, etc.), but we need to remember, that "it is God Who works both in you to will & to do of His good pleasure". ( Philippians 2:13); and this working is not only in you for your maturing in Christ, but also in all your circumstances. Just trust Him fully in this matter & continue to love Him no matter the outcome - He does ALL things well.
I think the interpretation of scripture I'm reading from you can be described as throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
>If I seek to obey any of God's Laws, including the Sabbath, then I am judged by the Law & voluntarily exempt myself from salvation by Grace & not the Law.
The way I interpret your comment it that it says you will lose your salvation by grace if you seek to obey any of God's laws. That's a pretty serious claim which Jesus himself said is false. Have you prayed about this and asked God to confirm if this is actually true before spreading this around to other Christians? What if the people you tell will result in them not seeking to obey God's law anymore and following the world instead, would you consider that a good thing or bad thing? Are Christians really supposed to tell others that if they obey God, that they risk going to hell? To me it's clear that's not what the Bible says. Matthew 5:48 is Jesus says to try and strive to be perfect- and it sounds like you might disagree with that verse. Jesus fulfilled the law, died on the cross for or sins, and we're in grace if we follow Jesus, but he didn't say to stop trying to obey, but the opposite. Philippians 2:12 - with fear and trembling to pursue Jesus. This is an active effort, not a passive status.
So, I'll get back to the heart of the matter- which is the throwing out the baby with the bathwater. In this analogy, the baby is God's law and trying to be obedient to God, and the bathwater is legalism- trying to 'earn' someone's way to heaven. Romans 6 says not to throw out the baby, James 2 the same. Just because Jesus fulfilled the law doesn't mean it's null and void. This point was already explained in the scripture and I don't see any other way to interpret it. To say that some scripture doesn't apply because its to Jews isn't a valid point as the other verses cited were also written to Jews and specific groups too. The Bible is for all.
May God bless you...
The statement "Christians cannot blaspheme" contradicts Christians having freewill. Either Christians have freewill or don't. Some people were Christians then denounced it, like Marilyn Manson, Hitler, among many others. So we have the personal evidence on Earth, and scripture evidence including Matthew 10:33 and many others.
> "But the believer has to be on guard against Satan ( 1 Peter 5:8) & to "work out (attention to) his own salvation with fear & trembling" ( Philippians 2:12). A constant warfare, requiring vigilance, but the believer remains secure in God's Perfect Plan for him."
These verses also contradict the OSAS movement. If a Christian is already saved why would they need to be on guard? What is there to 'work out' if salvation is already decided?
