Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.( GAL. 6:7 ) It was the same Apostle that wrote this thru the inspiration of GOD(2TIMOTHY3:16)

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people-
    HEBREWS 10:26-30

WITH THIS YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS UNSCRIPTURAL AND HERESY TO CONCLUDE THAT ONCE SAVED, YOU ARE FOREVER SAVED.

Philippians 2:12 Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

NOTE: DON'T LIVE AND SWIM IN SIN WITH THE MINDSET OF YOUR FUTURE SIN ARE ALREADY FORGIVEN YOU.

He came in his Father's name, because his Father's name is Jesus. God was known by many names/titles in the past. But it is written that Jesus is God's name, and the only name to fulfill what is clearly written! Such as but not limited to, Malachi 1:11, Jesus name fulfills this. Philippians 2:9, Again, Jesus name is known above every name. Isaiah 9:6 tells us Jesus is God, and St. Matthew 28:19 was followed by the Apostles when they baptized in Jesus name only; the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Acts 2:21, the name that saves!

I Believe that the Spirit of The Lord is saying here as long as we are yielding ourselves to God,& willing to truly fear him you can be obedient to his instructions. Working out your own Salvation means doing the very things that you Don't wanna do! You Can Not be Lazy or Slack about it this means Your Life! And when doing so the very things that The Lord is leading you to Work out is what's going to help you....

to be exactly like Jesus but not relying on your own strength but resting in God and Him working through us ...Holy Spirit. To have a mind of Christ is to know who Jesus is...relying on the Holy spirit to reveal things that our normal mind wouldnt understand but what the Holy Spirit shows us to understand.

I think as Christians we sometimes lose sight of God as a truly terrifying God. Reading through Deuteronomy is definitely teaching me about His righteousness that we cannot live up to. Praise Jesus, Lord and Savior, for becoming the perfection that we could not be. I think a good walk with God is one that is a healthy mix of fear and love. After all, He has the power to destroy body AND soul, BUT has given the means of salvation through Jesus Christ!!!

When Jesus was physically alive, he left many instructions for God's people. It's a blessing that Jesus said this because it lets me know that he doesn't have to be here in physical body for me to live a saved lifestyle. To me, it's reassurance that Jesus is alive and there is a God and Heaven beyond this body. To allow me to save myself is one of the greatest gifts ever. Physician heal thyself and saints save thyself. It's one of the scariest verses in the Bible to me. And even though I know what it means to me, It still sounds like Jesus is pushing me away at times. As though he is leaving me.

  • Mother Mary on Ephesians 1:4 - 11 years ago
Ephesians 1:4 "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love." Christians understand that we can't be a holy people without the indwelling presence of the Holy Ghost nor can we be a loving people without God's Spirit because it's He who sheds His love abroad within our hearts ( Romans 5:5). God chose to have a holy people for the good pleaure of His will. The Godhead determined before the foundation of the world that the people of God would be holy and without blame before Him in love to show forth His grace to the world. The criteria for being His chosen is "To Have Faith In His word" according to John 1:14. Only believers will be partakers of the Son-ship ( Philippians 2:15)( Matthew 5:10). The plan for salvation was also established before the foundation of the world that whosoever repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to make them into the image and likeness of Christ and endure unto death in His truth and righteousness, shall be partakers of the heavenly calling and receive adoption as the Sons of God. Ephesians 1:4 is most effective when we incorporate verses 5-14. (I have a book coming soon please subscribe).

I believe hell is located "under the earth" according to Philippians 2:10 "in heaven and on earth and 'under the earth' "
Hell enlarged herself after Jesus preached to the Old Testament saints ( 1Peter 3:18-20) in Abraham's bosom and released them from prison. Before this, a great chasm ( Luke 16:19-31) separated Hell (those in torment) from Abraham's bosom. The rich man (in hell) asked that Lazarus (in Abraham's bosom) be sent to dip the end of his finger in water and cool his tongue. Verse 26- the great chasm was fixed... no one could cross/pass over. Jesus released those in prison and Abraham's bosom was emptied, then hell enlarged herself (was expanded).
I believe this is where Catholics get the idea of purgatory (even though this place is not mentioned in the bible). Purgatory was emptied after Jesus descended into hell and released the prisoners from Abraham's bosom.
Is the idea of hell enlarging itself (and being enlarged ever since) the cause of so-called global warming???

    Philippians 2:6
The Bible says, "being in the form of GOD". Asking the HOLY SPIRIT why it was stated this way, I asked Him to show me through scripture what it could mean to we as believers. Then He brought to mind the following Bible passage. This is a phrase that caught my attention for a reason that may seem far fetched to some. Please allow me to expound. The word "formed" is brought to our attention in the first book of the Bible.
Genesis 2:7 tells us that "the LORD GOD formed man". I believe that in verse 6 of Philippians 2 we see within this passage that it is bringing to mind the prophetic thought of the CHRIST coming as a man. The verse goes on to states, "thought it not robbery". I believe if it were not the GOD Head's purpose it could have been called robbery. The reason for submitting this idea comes from the remainder of the verse that states,"to be equal with GOD".
Only a part of the GOD Head could be equal with GOD and no other. When thee LORD of Glory wanted to redeem man He left His throne and became a man for the purpose of dying, by shedding His perfect untainted blood on the cross for our sins. GOD's plan is always perfect and only the perfection of a HOLY GOD could have accomplished this Sacrifice.
What a wonderful Savor we have and how He through His perfect great love gave all. Thank You LORD.

The name of JESUS is powerful in all three realms mentioned in this scripture (phil.2:9-11). The name of JESUS prevails in any and every situation. I don't know what you may be going through today, but if you call on the name of JESUS, I am a living witness, God will see you through!

It doesn't mean that type of fear, because it also says that the beginning of wisdom is the Fear of the Lord.
We have to be careful with the salvation given to us. We aught to take care of it, knowing that He who has the blood of Jesus as nothing after knowing the truth, then it remains a fearful judgement, and we fall in the hands of a living God.

Harry Allison's comment on the Word Trinity. You will not find the word trinity in the Bible. Just like you won't find the word Rapture in the Bible. But there is going to be a Blessed Hope. The word caught up means taken away so it sounds better to say rapture. Getting back to the word trinity. The bible says that there are three that bear record in Heaven, The Father, The Word, and the Holy Spirit, "and these three are one." This is where trinity or three could be used. Also in Genesis God says "Let Us" make man. At the Baptism of Jesus we see the Dove (Holy Spirit, and the voice of God was herd "this is my beloved son." There are other examples.

This may be an example of humbleness before our Mighty God. Here on earth we approach royalty with all respect without hesitating , now when it comes to Our God falling down is a sign of respect and also knowing you are nothing before God, which is why we should fall down in worship and all times when talking to God.We need to honour him with our bodies fully, not just by bowing our head. Philippians 2:12,13
  • Rev. Autrey on Jude 1:14 - 11 years ago
Jude was the brother of Jesus, and this is what he said about him. "Look, the Lord (Jesus) is coming with thousands of his holy ones. He will bring the people of the world to judgment. He will convict the ungodly of all the evil things they have done in rebellion and of all the insults that godless sinners have spoken against him. Earlier he said of the angels that "God has kept them chained in prisons of darkness waiting for the day of judgment." This proves that Jesus and God are the same. Because it is Jesus, as God, who comes and judge the world.

It means further that Jesus cannot be a being less than God, or a being separate from God as many claim he is. This false teaching started early in Christianity, and continues until this day. Satan knows that if we lower Jesus to a subordinate position, we can't be saved.

Even the Jews of Jesus' day knew that only God can forgive sin. And since Jesus claimed to have such power, it was his way of saying that he was God. One of the most famous verses in the Bible supports this point: "... And the Word (Jesus) was God ( John 1:1). Another famous verse is Philippians 2:11: "... Jesus is Lord (God). ..." This verse concludes with "to the Glory of God the Father." This only means that there is another personality in God besides Jesus-the Holy Spirit is the third.
  • Rev. Autrey on Philippians 2 - 11 years ago
"Who being in the form of God" is another way of saying that Jesus is God ( John 1:1). What I mean is, if he is not God, then it would not make any difference if we have his mind in us or not. Some mind in us, other than God's mind is useless and of no consequence. That is, only the mind of God is perfect and and able to guide us into all truth!
  • One on Philippians 2 - 11 years ago
We must keep it in our minds, that, as followers of Christ; We no longer belong to ourselves, to do, all that we feel like doing.
But now, we must sacrifice our time, money, and most of our wants up to God. ................... It is a serious decision, to say yes to God: This decision is one, that needs to be deeply examined........Our thoughts should be, " Am i really ready to faithfully deny myself, my wants; Like, my luxury's, or my pleasure's, or my wealth, or my place of authority, or my self preservation, my pride, and my plans, to do God's work; for once i say yes to God, now i have to dedicate my time to finding out his will, (Which is reading and studying his word daily) then i have to obey his word at all cost; That his Holy Spirit over take me, and fill me with his nature.

For if we want God, than we must be willing to give up, our mammal instint life, for God's spiritual life.

Phil 2:9-11 “wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things (beings) in heaven, and things (beings) in earth, and things (beings) under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the father.”

God gave Him a name which is above every name.
At this name every (being) knee shall bow and every tongue confess His Lordship in three worlds heaven-earth-hell.

God seated Him in the highest place in the universe, at His own right hand, and made Him to be head over all things.
There is a name that’s above every name, heaven, earth, and hell realizes what that name means. We must to realize it.

THAT NAME IS JUST AS: WONDERFUL AS HE IS
    MIGHTY AS HE IS
    POWERFUL AS HE IS
    GREAT AS HE IS

John 8:3-11, The woman was taken to Jesus Christ for judgment. Jesus said go and sin no more. This means someone or people can obey this command, but I cannot point out who they are, only God knows the heart. Jesus is so merciful saying this word even if no one can obey. For example of a good father in the family, he will not command his 4 years old son/daughter to bring one container filled with water, since he knew it is so heavy. Our God also cannot command the word to his people that we cannot do. To enter into the kingdom of heaven is dual. Faith to the Lord Jesus Christ and faith to His word also. I would not deny that faith alone can save Soul. Our Lord Jesus Christ gave us an example to the one on his side also hanging on the cross whom he has given a promise to enter into the kingdom of heaven. After that promise he was dead, so nothing bad or good could happen again because his body was dead. Not like us who are still alive. We cannot compare our faith to that of one of the robbers, who died just after receiving the Lord Jesus Christ by faith, because our evil thoughts, evil eyes are always there and also we are often liars. To erase this, we have to work and practice to follow His words and ask him for help, and pray that all our bad works will be cleansed before his judgment comes. We know we are all temporarily here, so why don’t we prepare for that day to come? Verses to support salvation of our own Soul is individual based on our own works and not by faith whereby many believers were deceived. Old Testament Ezekiel 14:14, 14:20, 18:27. New Testament Philippians 2:12, James 1:21-22, 1Timothy 4:16. My God will judge our works whether good or bad. My God will not judge our faith to Him.

Mankind was subjected to eternal death through the fall of Adam and Eve, but the coming on board of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and His subsequent crucifixion brought back our rights to the heavenly inheritance. He nailed our failures, loosed the chains that connected us to the world and He connected us to Himself. Praise the Lord. Oh! Come on let us rejoice; He is the Commander of the armies of heaven, He blotted everything that was fighting us. Yes, he won the battle for us at the Cross. Believe me He did it. Yes, He suffered it for us, He carried the humiliation in our positions. Paul rightly pointed out that to the Philippians in Philippians 2:6-10. After all He was given the Name above every name, believe me. Mordecai and Esther did it, they reversed the cruel anticipation of the king's aid Haman. He cancelled them for us, yes, for us. FOR YOU AND ME. AMEN.

God wants us to walk in the humbleness of Christ, and be likeminded and of strong will, following the instructions of Christ. Paul tells the Philippians to be likeminded, having the same love, of one accord and of one mind. Philippians 2:3.

Do all things without murmurings or complaining and disputing or arguments or being contentious. Instead do everything by prayer, supplications, intercessions and thanksgiving, let our request be made known unto God. We are commanded not to do Philippians 2:14 but to do Philippians 4:6.

Isaiah 9:6 Tell us his name shall be called wonderful counsellor,The Mighty God everlasting Father prince of peace.God said in ( Isaiah 43:19) Behold I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth shall ye not no it? well I guess that being proven. As far as Christ being a man and God at the same time and not! being able to govern the Universe that's a misconception of the human mind. Jesus said to Nicodemus a man who was confused like many here today StJohn 3:12 If I have told you of earthly things and you believe not how shall you believe if I tell you of heavenly things and no man hath ascended up to heaven but the same that came down from heaven even the Son of Man which IS IN HEAVEN!!hello. The Bible dose not say God the Son because The Godhead is not divide because the Son is only the (Word) which is God's prophetic description of himself which he incarnated into flesh. Not another person!! bur the expressed image of his!! person.Hebrews1:3( John 14:9-11) Jesus did not say he that seen me hath seen God the Son he said hath seen the Father ( Colossians 2:9 for in him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily Christ is not a fallen man like us. We can't limit what he can do; because of what we! cant do or don't understand that's why 1Tomothy 3:16 say's its a mystery. Not every one will understand; that's the book that is called the Revelation of Jesus Christ says blessed is him that readeth and understands.( Philippians 2:19)say who being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God; But made himself of no reputation and took upon him the form of a servant. Yes he dose pray to his own spirit Deity!( Ephesians 1:9 says Having made known unto us the Mystery of his will according to the pleasure which he purposed in himself. Hello!!11th verse who worketth all things after the counsel of his own will.( Isaiah 40:10)Behold the Lord God will come with a strong hand and his arm shall rule for him. verse 13 who hath directed the spirit of the Lord; or being his counsellor hath taught him? with whom took he counsel Who instructed him and taught him in the path of Judgment and taught him Knowledge, and taught to him the way of understanding. Matthew 11:27 All things are delivered to me of my Father and no man knoweth the Son but the Father neither knoweth any man the Father save the Son and HE to whom THE SON WILL REVEAL HIM. So there you no nothing of the father but what Jesus has revealed blessed is he that readeth and understands.
