    Let paul tell us.

    keeping mathews 7:13-23. in mind.

philippians 3:1-11. finally, my brethren, rejoice in the lord. to write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.

beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

for we are the circumcision, which worship god in the spirit, and rejoice in christ jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

"what does it mean to rejoice in christ jesus?

though i might also have confidence in the flesh. if any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, i more:

    circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of israel, of the tribe of benjamin, an hebrew of the hebrews; as touching the law, a pharisee;

concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

but what things were gain to me, those i counted loss for christ.

yea doubtless, and i count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of christ jesus my lord: for whom

i have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that i may win christ,

and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith ( of) christ, the righteousness which is of god by faith:

    that i may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

if by any means i might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

    philippians 3:12-16.

philippians 3:17-18. brethren, be followers together of me, and

mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

(for many walk, of whom i have told you often, and now tell you even weeping,

that they are the enemies of the cross of christ:

are these scriptures along with the others i've posted relevant today and everyday all day?

    how about everywhere you go?

are they given by inspiration of god, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness?

    2 Peter 3

3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

    2 Timothy 3

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

    4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

    Romans Chapter 1

    28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

    Philippians 3:2

Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. (Comment: dogs sniff things they ought not to)

    1 Timothy 6

    3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to THE DOCTRINE which is according to godliness;

4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about QUESTIONS and STRIFES of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

This is what every country is experiencing. The Bible says that it will 'wax worse and worse.' Your faith needs to be strong in what the New Testament teaches on these Last Days before Jesus's Return.

The unsaved will be in these comment rooms preaching their HERESIES. They are reprobate. Don't listen to their rants.

    Philippians 3:2

Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the conscision

    Matthew 7:15

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

    Colossians 2:8

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Comment: ONLY GOD can change a heart. We are teach with kindness and patience. Not with the leaven of scribes and Pharisees. How did Jesus accomplish this? Study in 1 John, 2 John, 3 John.

John the beloved was called so, "because he gets it". He understood what Jesus said to us.

Hi Tony. In reference to your Greek words, were you using the actual words with their characters, inflections, etc.? This Site has a potent word checker that obliterates anything not found in its knowledge base, or so I gather. Though I think that using simple English characters might solve the problem.

I have no theo. background, just a believer who loves the Word of God & endeavours to use it correctly as given. I had a short itinerant ministry (via a Mission organization), serving in Karachi, Pakistan (amongst both the Church there & Muslims). After a forced departure, I went into India & engaged in a couple of ministries, chiefly assisting an (Open) Brethren evangelistic group, training up young assembly folk (boys & girls), equipping them to reach out to different parts of India. Of course, my focus was on evangelism training for outreach to Muslims, and we also had brothers who were ex-Hindus, who taught on ministry to Hindus (the predominant target group). When not giving training, I kept the accounts of that Mission. All this took place between the years 1988 to 2003.

That was very gratifying to read your comments on the "faith of Christ". The brother that can be most useful on the Greek applications & meaning, comes on here every week, so maybe if he sees this thread, he will add very profitably to our thoughts. For me though, I can only use the Greek Lexicon to find the word, its meaning, & its use in Scripture. However, I do appreciate your highlighting this important Truth; and we see it also clearly here: "And be FOUND IN HIM, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through THE FAITH OF Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith" ( Philippians 3:9). He has to be the Source of our Faith, our Righteousness, our Joy, & our Hope. Our Rest & our Power to live must only emanate from His Being & what He has accomplished for us. If our faith grows weak, Christ is not the problem, but our shaky walk in the Spirit is.

Hi Doug If a man or woman was sold to a another hebrew within the tribe and served three years and stayed seven then the law was that he or she could go free but if that servant was loved and respected by the owner and wanted to be there permanently they were given the mark of a bondservant or slave. They were marked out with an aul through the ear as being owned but not by force. The marked person could leave anytime they wanted but why would because you were loved and all needs were met by your owner. In the epistles the Apostle paul mentions in Philippians 3:14 press toward the mark of the High calling of God in Christ Jesus. You sold out to the one who loves you and takes care of your every need, Paul was sold out he trusted that God in Christ Jesus would take care of every need in all situations and conditions.

Stew speaks: "If you believe you will be raptured away you already have the 'mark'...Do not be deceived, there is no rapture...Take your Bible studies back to the Greek and Hebrew languages":

Precious friend, thanks for your 'judgments'; I believe God's Scriptures, in 'Plain ENGLISH.' and since I 'believe' God's Gospel Of GRACE ( Link ):

    1a) "...we which are alive and remain WILL BE CAUGHT UP {raptured}..." ( 1 Th 4:17) = TO HEAVEN ( 2 Co 5:1-2; Eph 1:3; Eph 1:20: Eph 2:6; Philippians 3:20; Col 1:5; 2 Ti 4:18)

1b) "Who Hath Also SEALED us, and Given The Earnest Of The Spirit in our hearts." 2 Co 1:22

"In Whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard The Word Of Truth, The Gospel of your salvation: in Whom also after that ye Believed, ye Were SEALED With That Holy Spirit of Promise" Eph 1:13

"And grieve not The Holy Spirit of God, Whereby ye Are SEALED Unto The Day Of Redemption" Eph 4:30

Thus, all "SEALED By The Spirit of God," who Depart TO HEAVEN, Prior to TOJT, DO NOT have the 'mark of the beast' = God Renders that 'Impossible'!

    2) Sorry, Cannot find Any Scriptures About "being a linguistics/language 'scholar' to understand God's Word Of Truth to me in my Own language" {"they All Heard 'in their Own tongues'" ( Acts 2:5-11)}, but have found the following Bible "study" Rules:

Precious Marva: "does god hear my prayers when I'm unable to speak, but pray silently."? Yes, God Hears all humble people who approach Him, in faith, including dumb people who cannot speak:

God Knows And Searches our hearts ( Acts 15:8; Romans 8:27), And His Spirit "Prays For us," Even when we "don't know what to pray for!" ( Romans 8:26):

    God's GRACE In our infirmities:

    (1) Read Romans 5:1-5, especially take note of verse 3, "we glory [rejoice] in tribulations." We are not instructed here to glory in spite of the trials of life we find ourselves in, but we are to rejoice because of them. That is to say we are to thank God for allowing times of suffering into our life. This passage of Scripture expressly states that The Lord uses the tribulations of life "to conform us to The Image Of His Son" ( Romans 8:29). To this end, He uses all things "to work together for good to them that love God, to them that are the called According To His Purpose" ( Romans 8:28). As we grow mature in The Lord, our Savior is Glorified. As believers in Jesus Christ it is given us "in behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His Sake" ( Philippians 1:29). (Borrowed from brother Ed Bedore) My study:

    Hi David.

    Philippians 3:10 . That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Ephesians 1:19-20. Speaks of the Resurrecting Power performed to redeem those who believe.

This is not speaking of Power imputed to us to raise the dead.

Ephesians 1:18-21. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

And what is the exceeding greatness of

( HIS POWER ) to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

WHICH HE WROUGHT IN CHRIST, WHEN HE RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, FAR ABOVE ALL PRINCIPALITY, AND POWER, AND MIGHT, AND DOMINION, AND EVERY NAME THAT IS NAMED, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

John 10:18. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I HAVE POWER to lay it down, and I HAVE POWER to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

I believe in Ephesians Ch 1, But I keep it in its context.

Ephesians 1:3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, WHO HATH BLESSED US WITH ALL "SPIRITUAL" BLESSINGS IN HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST:

This is done by the Power of his resurrection.

    God bless.

"God's Word Of Truth, Rightly Divided," Lets God "Say It":

    Part III

    The Second 'prophesied' Coming

Rightly Divided ( 2 Timothy 2:15) From Things That DIFFER:

The PRE-TOJT Great GRACE Departure, According to TheHeavenly'Mystery!':

    (1) Immediately After GRACE Has ENDED/ZERO signs!:

CHRIST, As Head Of His Body, The Church, Will Descend From Heaven! ( Ephesians 1:19-23; Colossians 1:18; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

    (2) CHRIST Is Coming With A Shout, With the voice of an archangel, And With The Trump of God! ( 1 Thessalonians 4:16)

    3) God (JESUS CHRIST) Will BringWithHim {those who Were With Him In Heaven},partOf His Own, those who are "asleep In JESUS!" ( 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:21-23; 1 Thessalonians 4:13)

    (4) CHRIST Descends WithOnearchangel, Will resurrect those asleep{in 3)}First, and Then, we "which are alive and remain," {which Is A Mystery!}, will be changed/all "incorruptible, And Caught Up" together to meet The LORD in the air {NOT "all the way to the earth!"}, in the "twinkling of an eye!" ( 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; 1 Corinthians 15:52-53)

    (5) CHRIST "Gathers His Body" To HIMSELF, to Take them To Heaven {OPPOSITE of earth}... ( 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:49; 2 Corinthians 12:2, 5:1, 2; Ephesians 1:3, 20, 2:6; Philippians 3:20; 2 Timothy 4:18)

    6)...For The Judgment Seat Of CHRIST, For HIS Heavenly Body, By The Head Himself!... ( Romans 2:6, 16, 14:10-12; 1 Corinthians 3:7-15, 4:5, 6:20; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Ephesians 6:8; Colossians 3:24-25)

Luke Thompson on 2 Corinthians 12:9: "Gorgeous, as are all others. thank you dear loving LORD!!!!"

Amen, Precious brother Luke. Here is a little more of the "Gorgeous" All Others:

    God's GRACE In our infirmities

    (2) After Paul [our #"pattern"# for Today!] prayed 3 times for his affliction, the "Answer he Received," According To The Scriptures, Was:

"And HE [CHRIST] Said Unto me, MY GRACE Is Sufficient For thee: For MY Strength Is Made Perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory [cp] in my infirmities, that The Power Of CHRIST May Rest Upon me!" ( 2 Corinthians 12:9) cp ( 2 Corinthians 11:23-30)

    (3) Compare With GRACE Scriptures: ( Romans 5:1-5) ( Romans 8:18) ( Romans 8:26-29) ( 1 Corinthians 10:13) ( 2 Corinthians 1:3-4) ( 2 Corinthians 4:17) ( 2 Corinthians 12:9) ( Philippians 3:21)

    #"pattern"# = Paul = ( 1 Timothy 1:16) ( Philippians 4:9)

Precious friends, Please be Very Encouraged In The LORD JESUS CHRIST And His Word Of Truth!

RLW: "we will be here and we must be prepared":

Now, this is quite interesting, what is your take, RLW, on three of your so-called "prophecy Experts," who Will Be Here, and the "way THEY teach to be prepared"?:

    (1) says to {SELFishly?} "hoard UP SEVEN years worth of food for the coming famine"

    (2) says to "FLEE from the cities to the protection of the RURAL areas"

    (3) says to "FLEE from the U.S. To the safety of Ethiopia"???

    (4) maybe you have "another idea" for preparedness?

    --------------------------------

Now, those of us, In The Body Of CHRIST:

    (A) who are looking, watching, and waiting patiently For The LORD JESUS CHRIST ( 2 Thessalonians 2:1) ( Romans 8:18-19) ( Romans 8:23) ( Romans 8:25) ( 1 Corinthians 1:7) ( Ephesians 6:12-18) ( Philippians 3:20) ( Colossians 4:1-3) ( 1 Thessalonians 1:10) ( 1 Thessalonians 5:5-11) ( Titus 2:13)

    (B) To Take us home to Heaven ( 2 Corinthians 5:1) ( 2 Corinthians 5:2) ( Ephesians 1:3) ( Ephesians 1:20) ( Ephesians 2:6) ( Philippians 3:20) ( Colossians 1:5) ( 2 Timothy 4:18)

Believe OUR "preparation" should be to:

    (1) Stay where God Has Called us, preaching The Gospel Of GRACE ( 1 Corinthians 15:3-4) ( Ephesians 2:8-9), to the lost,

    (2) "studying" God's Word Of Truth, Rightly Divided ( 2 Timothy 2:15), avoiding ALL of the above Confusion, And:

    (3) Using our {God-Given} resources to, In "ONE WORD - LOVE our neighbor" ( Galatians 5:14) ( Romans 13:8-10), and {UNselfishly!} teaching/helping those in need!! ALL in "preparation" for:

    (C) Judgment ( 1 Corinthians 3:7-15) for "rewards" for these! Amen?

Please Be Richly Encouraged, Enlightened,Exhorted, and Edified!

Concerning "the birthday" of the church? "the beginning of the church {GR. ekklesia = assembly} of God in operation started day of Pentecost."? There is another Bible view of this, eliminating a lot of confusion:

    (1) The Pentecostal assembly was God's Continuation of prophecy and law for Israel, the assembly Jesus showed HIS Twelve apostles, "on the EARTH," in ( Matthew 16:18)

    a) This assembly is "associated" with water baptism AND Baptism By Christ, Pouring Out "WITH" HIS Holy Spirit, for "powers, signs, and wonders," and healing everyone, Correct?

However, with Right Division ( 2 Timothy 2:15), we have, for God's GRACE And MYSTERY:

    (2) The GRACE church of today is a "New Creation" showed To Paul, HIS ONE apostle:

"If any man [be] In CHRIST, [he is] a New Creature..." ( 2 Corinthians 5:17)

    A) This "New Creation" is actually The Body Of CHRIST, which was UNknown in Matthew, being "Hidden In God" ( Ephesians 3:9), until Paul:

    B) God Saved, By GRACE and MERCY, Paul as our "Pattern = in me FIRST..." ( 1 Timothy 1:16)

    C) Since Paul was The FIRST man IN The Body of CHRIST, It is Called "the ONE New man"

    ( Ephesians 2:15)

    D) This assembly, showed To Paul, from CHRIST, "IN HEAVEN," has "Associations" with:

    (1) The ONE Baptism, "BY" The Holy Spirit, Identifying/Unifying new "members" with The Body Of CHRIST, "Seated In the Heavenlies" ( Ephesians 1:3) ( Ephesians 1:20)

    ( Ephesians 2:6) ( Ephesians 3:10)

    (2) God's Amazing GRACE for our "infirmities, suffering, trouble, and tribulations" ( Romans 5:1-5) ( Romans 8:18) ( Romans 8:26-29) ( 1 Corinthians 10:13) ( 2 Corinthians 1:3-4) ( 2 Corinthians 4:17) ( 2 Corinthians 12:9) ( Philippians 3:21)

Thus, "solving the confusion IF signs, wonders, and miracles, FOR US, today"?! Amen?

An Informative/Edifying Biblical article is "The Birthday of the Church" by Ricky Kurth. Enjoy!

Howard We all in your terms give in so to speak, no man except Jesus Christ ever walked perfectly by the Spirit, as Paul outlined in Romans 7:14-25 we all deal with it. On the bright side we are forgiven by God through what Jesus Christ accomplished now the challenge to walk by the spirit is doing it is written. I don't dwell on what I do not do right also Paul in Philippians 3: 13, forget the past, that doesn't mean don't learn from it, don't dwell on it. A person who does a 300 yard dash doesn't in the middle of the race turn His head to look back. Just food for thought. In the end do the best you can then Philippians 2:13.

I can think of one occasion where Paul was determined to get to Jerusalem by the Day of Pentecost & didn't want anything to stop him from doing so: Acts 20:15-24. Not sure if you were thinking of this one. If not, if you can remember anymore details.

Ernest Eppright asks: When we die, do we go immediately to heaven?

Precious friend, thanks for the Great question - Scripture Has This Departure Truth Answer:

"Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from The LORD:(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with The LORD." ( 2 Corinthians 5:6-8)

"For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with CHRIST; which is Far Better:"( Philippians 3:23)

Sister Dianne, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS grace.

God CANNOT be SOVEREIGN and man have FREE WILL, it's impossible. Man would be able to CHANGE what God predestinated.

There have been billions of people that have been born and died, if man has free will why didn't at least one free will himself to NOT SIN.

Man makes hundreds of choices every day, but ever choice you make has a CAUSE and that cause is God:

Ephesians 1:11 In whom we also have obtained an inheritance, being PREDESTINATED according to the PURPOSE OF HIM who worketh ALL THINGS after the counsel of HIS WILL.

Philippians 2:13 For it is GOD that WORKETH IN YOU both to WILL and DO of his good pleasure.

You are born again by the word of God.

This is part of being born again: you AGREE with God; that you do nothing of yourself, all is OF GOD, he shares his glory with NO ONE.

He causes you to believe, He causes you to understand that it is his faith not yours, He causes you to repent, He causes you to LOVE.

    Philippians 1:29 For unto you it is GIVEN in the behalf of Christ, not only to BELIEVE ON HIM, but to also suffer for his sake;

Philippians 3:9 And being found in HIM, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the FAITH OF CHRIST, the righteousness which is OF GOD by faith.

Romans 2:4 ....Not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance.

Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my spirit WITHIN YOU, and CAUSE YOU to walk in my statutes, and ye shall KEEP my judgements, ans DO THEM.

NO FREE WILL in those scriptures.

Living IN CHRIST becomes quite simple when you are born of TRUTH.

Its very important your belief and faith in the Word of GOD-the Word is GOD-and beliving that "the last enemy to be destroyed is death, apostle Paul".The Holy Spirit left very clear by Paul Apostle that"The last ENEMY that shall be destroyed is death".1Cor.15:v.24-28&51-55:

24 The END comes when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to GOD, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

25 For He must reign, till He hath put all enemies under His feet.

26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

27 For He hath put all things under His feet ...

28 And when all things shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto Him that put all things under Him, that GOD may be all in all.

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment...at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound ( Revelation 11:15-18), and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this MORTAL must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Philippians 3:v.20-21: 20 For our conversation is in heaven;from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 21 Who shall CHANGE OUR VILE BODY, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body(see Luke 24:v.36to45 and 20:v.35-36), according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto Himself.

Compare the vision above in Rom.8:v.18-30.

By the way, there will be resurrection in this present time according Daniel 12:v.1-3 and 1Thes. 4:v.15-17. Check it out.

16 the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

    LEON DAVIS ,

from whom you learned that "the word dog in Deuteronomy 23:v.18 is a reference to a male prostitute. One does not know the source of the money he or she receives in the winnings from gambling, some of which could be "dirty money" (e.g., gotten from white collar crime, theft, drug sales, the sale of pornographic literature)?

See, the Word is GOD. GOD did not refer to the things you said above by your interpretation of GOD's Word regardings to the "dog"; no, absolutely, the Word does not refer to those things you have said.

That said, who is he to whom the Word of God refers to as DOG? - GOD answers us by His Word- Isaiah 56:v.10-12:

10 His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb DOGS, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

11 Yea, they are greedy DOGS which can never have enough, and they ARE SHEPHERDS that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

12 Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink (false doctrines); and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.

Paul Apostle warned: Philippians 3:v.2 - Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the circuncision.

And JESUS left very very clear, saying: Revelation 22:v.15-16

15 For without are DOGS, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

Dear LEON DAVIS, what you wrote above has nothing to do with the Word of GOD. Your interpretation of the Word of GOD- Deuteronomy 23:v.18- is a mere human conception of you, something from your imagination, or even conjectures, opinions, or guessings.

Be careful with the Word of GOD. The Word is GOD, understand?
