If you're thinking of this aggressive act by Russia extending southwards, with the Middle East not being far away, then this can always be a possibility as other countries might take courage in pursuing acts of aggression in league with the dominant ones. We pray that Russia will come to its senses & withdraw, even as we know Putin to be of a particular bent who may get more stirred up because of any adverse responses to him. But as in all matters, personal & worldly, our hope & trust are cast upon the Lord Who superintends all things, that His Perfect Will may be realized. I think that to be unconcerned & blas about matters that might not directly affect us for the time-being, is not demonstrating a compassionate, concerned spirit to the suffering of others & the advancement of wickedness. Philippians 2:4; Philippians 4:6,7.
Here are other verses that will help you.
--Corinthians 10:5 Take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. Philippians 4:8: Whatever is... true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy.
-- Romans 8:38,39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
-- Ps. 56:3 Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.
-- Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
-- 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
-- Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
-- Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
-- Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Let this be your aim:
-- Galatians 2:20 - I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
May God bless you!
Philippians 4:6 says to ask God for things. I don't think anything is too big, or too small to ask.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 - pray without ceasing
Ephesians 6:18 - pray always
With these verses in mind I think we are welcome to ask God for all things, but I do think they should follow God's moral law. And some things I will ask God for, but may not feel comfortable asking others to pray for.
For example, I don't want to ask God to help me commit a sin, and I wouldn't feel right asking God to help me hurt someone else, etc. Some things may seem small, but may not be to someone else. Pets to some are their family members they love. And I think they are gifts from God to allow us to have that unconditional loving attachment and feeling of joy. So, I understand how people want to pray for them.
I also respect that others may feel differently. Some have been terrorized and attacked by dogs for example and that could be hard for that person to genuinely pray for someone else's dog, for example, so I think that person simply should pray for other things instead. I personally don't feel right praying for material things or anything that can easily become an idol and puts an emphasis on treasure on earth, rather than treasure in heaven.
I feel more comfortable praying for a strengthened relationship with someone's family or to learn how to trust God more. Etc. So, I think in some circumstances if I cannot genuinely pray for a certain thing then I simply pray for those I can and maybe someone else is willing to pray for someone's specific challenge.
Also, some want their exes back, but I instead pray for God's will. God bless.
Please keep reading the WORD.

his Son jesus Christ then to get into this of what we're discussing. Being aware of our adversary is one thing, I
deal with this on a need to know basis. But I'm willing to share some things profitable to all concerned. We walk
on and in what we think about so I endeavor to think most about what we have in Christ or Philippians 4:8+9.
10:9+10 and believe in our hearts what we confess then we receive Holy spirit which Galatians 3:22 describes as the
faith of Jesus Christ which is the bridge that spanned the gap between natural man and God. This his gift that being
said we do the work of action on Gods word in our lifestyles as Jesse shared a bit to produce the affects of the gift
on our personal lives. Fruit of he spirit Galatians 5:22 these are products that start appearing in our lives as a result
of changing out lifestyles to spiritual thinking Gods revealed word. some of those thoughts Philippians 4:6-9, Eph. 5:1
+2, Eph.4:21-32 their are many of these then you have lots of examples in the gospels. Good Stuff.
That is a good question.
These text you reference gives an answer:
...but be transformed by the renewing of your mind , that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
If you go on to read the remainder of the chapter, Paul gives us examples of what we ought to think and do that is according to God's will.
So, for me, I would endeavor to follow those instructions along with those in the remaining chapters of Romans.
In Galatians 5:16-26,Paul talks about what walking in the Spirit means. Philippians 4:8 tells us what things our mind should focus on.
But really, Valerie, no one can have the mind of Christ without being converted and having the Holy Spirit dwelling within the believer. So, believing the gospel, repenting of one's sinfulness, putting one's faith in Jesus and His work if salvation for us are necessary as a first thing.
When one is thus converted, God'd Spirit in dwells a new believer, as this Spirit really does the work of conversion and we respond to this work in faith supplied by grace through the Spirit.
After conversion, one will begin to grow in one's faith as the Spirit guides and causes growth and spiritual knowledge to come to a new believer. This growth happens continually throughout the believers life as one yields to the work of the Spirit within.
So, Valerie the more we yield to the Spirit, he will conform us to imitate Christ through the intake of His holy word enlivened in us by the Spirit.
Separating our affection from the things of the world happens but by bit, as we relinquish our love for worldly ideas, things, and practices and replace these with godliness that grace supplies.
Hope this helps.
You will probably get many good replies, as Rick already has done. Prayerfully seek
What the Lord would have. You do In response to the Scriptures offered here.
1. He will not leave us or forsake us:
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. - Deuteronomy 31:6
2. He is with us to the end of the age:
".. and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:20
3. God's peace will guard our hearts and minds:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
*He comforts us in our grief and sorrow*
Psalm 73:26 "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
Revelation 21:4 "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit."
Psalm 73:26 "My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever."

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which Strengtheneth me..
Love you in Christ
I don't have a good answer for your question, but can talk generally about living as a Christian.
As Christians we aren't promised a problem-free life. The Bible says will actually be harder for us due to persecution, etc.
Some Christians assume Romans 8:28 means they deserve or are entitled to a privileged life. Some like Osteen preach this on TV which is a false teaching in my opinion. Some people are told if they're not living in sin they will get free goodies/rewards from God, like money, possessions, health, good relationships, etc. It's really a self centered immature and distorted perspective. God isn't a genie in a lamp here to serve us. If anything its the opposite- we exist at the pleasure of God and to serve Him.
Paul was shipwrecked, beaten, chased, in prison, you name it, but was one the most prominent Christian evangelists. He was persecuted and had a rough life, not a prosperity-gospel type life full of 'abundance' in this world. But Paul said he found the secret of contentment. Have you read that before? Here's a guy you would assume would be very depressed and discouraged, but he wasn't. He cracked the code. We don't need to fill ourselves with outside things to make us feel whole, but can be content as we are. God is the strength in our weakness and can make up the difference. So, in terms of managing frustration, maybe reading more about Paul may help: Philippians 4:10-13.
As far as relationships, some I know seemed to find partners when young like a God-arranged divine event. But others I know have been single their whole lives. Each pray and are serious about their walk with God.
God bless...
favorite Philippians 4:8+9 mind you help me perfected ha ha not in this lifetime its still a day by day mental battle old man verses new creation. We all deal with the same dude. We keep putting off the old and putting in the new!
Hopefully these are helpful
Philippians 4:6
Humans were given Dominion in Genesis by God.
Only Bible readers would know that. Jesus defeated Satan by being crucified and then Resurrected. Christians have the same AUTHORITY to defeat Satan's strategies against us. It's done in prayer on our knees.
Most people just want to come home and watch tv or play online games.
Bad things happen to good people/Christians because we don't want to do the hard stuff that produces salvations, healings, deliverance from Satan's attacks. We don't need to be blaming God for our inability to follow the example of Jesus.
What would happen if we walked out on the back porch and yelled out loud: in Jesus Name, by His power and Authority, I take Dominion over every demonic strategy to hurt me and my family and loved ones. I bind your evil plans and cast you OUT OF THIS HOUSE
OUT OF MY FAMILY
OUT OF MY WORK PLACE
OUT OF MY CITY
OUT OF MY GOVERNMENT
GO NOW INTO OUTER DARKNESS TO WANDER ENDLESSLY
IN THE NAME OF JESUS. AMEN
I ask the Lord, to release warring angels to enforce and protect this prayer; minister to and guard those this prayer covers. Cover me and favor my family, Lord Jesus,
I give you thanksgiving, my praise to you, worship and honor. Impart to me discernment so I may stand in the watchtower and be vigilant against Satan's attacks. I rebuke the Spirit of Slumber! Holy Spirit teach me how I should pray for all my concerns. I receive it, in the Name of Jesus. AMEN! HALLELUJAH
look within. Do you want to be discouraged watch the world or look at others. If you want to maintain
Spiritual Peace you must look at God and His Word. We need to turn our eyes upon Jesus and look full in
His wonderful face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the Light of His Glory and Grace!
Philippians 4:8 Just Sharing Some Heart!
I've prayed for you, And hopefully someone can give you great spiritual guidance and comfort in addition to what I'm about to share.
There's scriptures comes to mind such as
Romans 8:28.
Philippians 4:6-7.
We never give up on he who never sleep nor slumber!
Continue in prayer. Listen to Paul here in
2 Corinthians 12:9.
Hopefully others can help.
May God bless you and your family.
This verse in Philippians is is yellow highlighted in my Bible because it is for me a "life" verse, one that I review often and hide in my heart to remember the excellencies of Christ's character that this verse describes and how I am to guard my thinking to keep it on the right track and focused on Christ, especially when tempted to sin in my thoughts.
Thanks for bringing it up on this forum. Made my night.
pure is in your mind, an unbelievers mind is corrupt a believers mind is uncorrupted or made pure by the word=
philippians 4:8 Finally brethren whatsoever things are true honest just pure and lovely things of good report
if there be any virtue or any praise[ pure thoughts added] think on these things. Verse 9 second half and the
God of peace shall [absolute tense] be with you. It Is Written
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
One way to improve self-control is to remove everything that causes lack of it.
Read in Proverbs for wisdom. Titus 1:15 and Genesis 38:6-10 for resolve to honor the Lord with your body. Paul taught that if we struggle with singleness, to consider marriage.
I hope this helps.
to discuss the positives of believing Gods Word and deliverance through Jesus Christ, I don't see the profitability
spiritually of continuing this area of conversation. If someone else chooses to that's there privilege, so that being
said I'm on to something else. I bid you Philippians 4:8+9 God Bless
So, this is David's prayer to God, trusting God for His protection & guidance and not to trust in his own wisdom or devices. And this David did as he fled to Gath & also when he fled from Gath. When David confidently placed his trust & his life in God's Hands, all his fears & dread of what might happen to him, left him.
And that is what real faith is: to give our concerns in life & the worries & dread in our hearts, completely over to the Lord for Him to deal with & help us - and not looking back at the problems. In like manner, the Apostle Paul many centuries later could say in Philippians 4:6,7, "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." David knew God's Peace in that awful time in his life - Paul also knew God's Peace when he faced afflictions & persecutions as a devoted servant of the Lord - and we can know it too as we confidently rest in our Lord Jesus & let Him take full control of our lives.
I did get to witness eventually to all them but of course they considered me nuts.
One of the things to help with deliverance is completely new associations which God can and will provide trust me he did it for me and I'm a nobody. Some additional verses for the mind Ephesians 4:23-32, Philippians 4:6-9, Colossians 3:1-17. I leave you with this, Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His Wonderful Face and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His Glory and Grace. God Bless
