Carol, I have added my prayers to yours. I have two best friends, and one I met in elementary school and the other at my first job some 40 years ago...I would do anything for them but when all is said and done my best friend is my sister (I am also the oldest sibling of 4). Just keep praying and waiting for someone with your same values. And never forget...our Lord is the best friend to all who call upon Him and He knows what you need in a friend! God Bless you!

Please let this pandemic end soon, if it is your will. I would like one of my teachers, to stop worrying so much, even though I don't really like him much. But everyone is worried- we all know that. Everyone has a fear of what is still to happen and how this world wide disease will be put to a stop. But I know I needn't be afraid, for you, my Father- you have everything under your control. Only You know why this has happened, and what will happen next. But in the meantime, this is an opportunity- to come closer to you, Lord. I'm so sorry I haven't spent so much time with you, I know I can, instead of reading or watching and playing on devices. PLEASE let this be over soon, though, PLEASE Lord. Anyway, also please help me to pray for others- like those girls in my class, who seem nice, but aren't Christian like me. I always feel left out and lonely in school, even though I have siblings, but then they aren't in the same year as me.. and I have been praying for a friend, or maybe even a BEST friend, since primary. I'm half way through highschool now, I HAVE gotten to be a little more confident and talkative, but the other girls.. well I just don't fit in. I'm typing this right now, in school, as you know, Lord. Please, I beg you for a friend, I know you might have other plans for me- but I promise it would mean the world to me to have a best friend. I think that is all I have to say. Oh yes, and please protect my Grandparents- in Germany and in England. Proverbs 16:7, "When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him."

Maddie, even though this Proverb may not seem relevant, I think it shows us that if we please the Lord by doing his Will & exuding Christ-likeness, then even our enemies will not be able to deny our position & of those who can rationalize this new behaviour, will confess that it is the Lord Who hath done this.

I'm sure your parents never thought ill of you, rather it was your desire to present yourself in the best light to them. What matters, as you say, is how God sees you - His precious child, & this is all that matters - He will take care of the rest - even using your life & words to testify of His goodness.

Please pray for me and the situation im in , i lost my wife almost 8 years ago to cancer i have stayed true to her , trusting in the Lord , i have meet someone that has came into my life , who i love very deeply , and she loves me , but there are things that are seprating us, keeping us apart . pray these walls be taken down , pray i hear from her today i miss her

If you believe you're perfect and sinless like Jesus, that would be contrary to: Romans 3:10 and Romans 3:23.

Ephesians 4:32 - says be kind and tenderhearted and forgive others like Christ has forgiven you, but if you have to be 100% perfect as a Christian why would it say that? Are you suggesting that you've been 100% perfect and sinless since becoming a Christian? For example, you have never lied or quarreled or raised your voice at anyone and have always forgiven others for their sins?

If you believe you've been 100% perfect and sinless, which even Paul wasn't able to do, then aside from Jesus you're the first and only human to be perfectly sinless after becoming a Christian? Just as a warning this could be the sin of pride Proverbs 16:5 and 2 Timothy 3:2.

Matthew 5:48 - Jesus said to strive to be perfect and obey his commands John 14:15, but that doesn't mean you must be perfect to be saved. Ephesians 2:8. That also doesn't mean you have an excuse to sin intentionally.

Matthew 12:31 - Jesus clearly said only blasphemy of the holy spirit is the only sin that won't be forgiven. So, if your point is the NO sins are forgiven after you become a Christian then why would Jesus say this to everyone (including his Christian followers) that all sins ARE forgiven but this one?

Paul admits in Romans 7:15 that he deeply struggles with the flesh and sin. Does that mean you think the man who write the most books of the Bible and was the top evangelist for Christianity went to hell?

My belief is that you don't earn heaven by being perfect. You are saved by believing Jesus, confessing and repenting of your sin and actively following Jesus. You try to avoid sin to the absolute best of your ability, but it doesn't mean you'll be perfect. It in fact says we are all imperfect, but if we're genuinely following Jesus then we're covered by grace as we progress in our life as a Christian. It doesn't mean the grace erases sin, but we will be forgiven if we're a Christian following Jesus. Jesus shares a great parable about sin and forgiveness in Matthew 18.

Matthew 12:36-37 - Jesus sets the bar very, very high with every word you speak to others, your thoughts, and if you even look at a woman. Matthew 5:28. Am I supposed to believe your the first person since Jesus to ever do this perfectly and that you're 'earning' heaven? Congratulations, but I think you're in for a surprise, because that's not what the Bible says and above are just a few of the Bible verses that prove that. I'm offering this in kindness to offer a different perspective to a Christian brother. God bless.

The worse thing man ever did to the Bible was to put it into Verses! Many people stop reading in the middle of a chapter when the next verse says "Therefore" and they don't get the whole meaning of what's been said by doing so! Can you imagine if you took a letter from someone who wrote you and then you put it into verses and then tried to read it verse by verse, instead of as a whole!?

I am researching this verse today because it seems opposite to me what I always assumed ... that a man may determine his immediate actions but the Lord decides where it all will lead him ...

Verse 23-We must take the time to try and understand why people say or act in a certain way before we speak to them. This can help us to have wise speech if we just think before we speak.

If you sin after you are saved, you can ask God to forgive you and He will But there's a limit to His forgiveness.
