John 6:37-40 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
If you lose that, it wasn't the least bit everlasting.
You can certainly undermine your assurance and your fellowship with the LORD ( Hebrews 3:12-19)
You can find many scripture of wisdom in Proverbs and Psalms.
Actually the Bible was somewhat downsized. Not all Books were canonized into it.
Romans is one of my favorites. I like that dilemma Paul was having in chapter 7: the "I" chapter. I used to know how many times he said it. You count for me.
That's how much God loves us. He sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ to die on the cross to pay for our sins then raised him from the dead so we can live forever by trusting in him. The Bible tells us about how we got in the sorry state we are in and about how God cares enough to rescue us.
Much of the Bible is history to teach us by example what displeases God. The Bible also teaches us how great God is and how wonderful he is. Many stories show God's faithfulness to take care of his people and deliver them from danger. He teaches us how to live wisely and to care for one another. There are so many amazing prophecies and promises, some already happened, some yet to come.
The many pages should not scare us off from studying the Bible, because we can only read a little at a time. But if we keep at it, day by day, eventually we will read it all and grow in faith and really get to know God. It is so rich in truth and knowledge that we gain treasure in our souls by loving it and reading it over and over. ...that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. ( 1 John 5:13)
If youre interested in what proverbs has to offer in terms of anger management, I am curating a list of the pertinent ones, this is a work in progress so there may be many more, I hope in Jesus name this helps:
Proverbs 14:17 He that issoon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
Proverbs 14:29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.
Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
Proverbs 15:2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
Proverbs 15:18 A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
Proverbs 16:32 He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
Proverbs 18:19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.
Proverbs 16:24 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
Proverbs 19:11 The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.
You need to get another Bible with center of the page reference columns. Each alphabet or number refers to another scripture that adds more illumination to the first. Some are current to that time or they are prophetic (future). You have to get what you need to study these things deeper. Sometimes you have to buy reference books. I highly recommend a large print encyclopedia with a full concordance. Try AbeBooks to get previously owned. Google them.
Here is a few on Leviticus

2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 John 2:2
At the end of all that you will see that Jesus was the Scapegoat for us. He has already made atonement for us.
You're going to have to look this all up and then ask THE HOLY SPIRIT to teach you what it means today. He's your Teacher.
It means prayer on your part, and turning off all racket to sit quietly before the Lord for answers. You will be amazed at what you learn. Psalm 63:6 and Proverbs 8:34
When a man's ways please the lord., he market even his enemies to be at peace with him. Everything we as Christians do to please our Lord, he will cause even our worst enemy to be at peace with us. Ask our Lord for every thing in pray. So that he will strengthen us against the wiles of the devil. In response to proverbs 16.
You are right. God gives us the Word to make our lives better not worse. By making our own rules and deciding we know best......well the results are not pretty. It is all about trust and obedience. You can trust Him to know what is best for you, because HE designed you OR you can trust in what you think is right. What does scripture say. Proverbs 16:25. For those of you who are reading this thread, look this scripture up.
The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.
seems to relate to
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands.2I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false.
1He has revealed to me the meanings of this verses
"These are the words your God who you knew through Revelation said to you.2I know you've sacrificed, have been hurt and worked hard. I know that you can't be or join with the people you have the absolute hate 'cause of their sin, you've saw them as "church girls" but were sinners.
Proverbs 16:20 Says He that handles a matter wisely shall find good. And who so trust in the LORD happy is he. The lord prays the prayer of Intercession for us each day. Surely his prayers will be answered for your son. In the meantime. Your son is trying to find something and he needs the freedom to do so. We need to be the hands and feet of Jesus to him and not the mouth piece. We should let our kids know I want a better life for you . But its your life you choose I will love you right in this situation. Then I would trust God to handle the matter as I place it in his hands to fix. Laying down my burdens to him. Knowing that He love my son also and will get him home safely addiction free.
If a soft answer turns away wrath, then would a loud, authoritative sounding voice cause wrath? My husband gets so frustrated with our son who has problems with addictions that he tends to talk real loud and bark orders at him. He thinks he is using Tough Love I guess, but it,s not working. We keep going around in circles with our son and getting nowhere with him as far as getting help for his addictions. My nerves are shot. I am on the verge of a nervous break down right now. We are believers in Jesus. What can we do differently? What are we doing wrong? This is so tough! Any suggestions! Thanks!
We are studying the book The Will Of GOD. Proverbs 16 was giving to us to read and study. To me this chapter is tell me that, If we let the LORD into how lives we will not have need for the things of the world.
16 How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! Note the on going cry of mankind in 2019-2020 is go to school, get a good job, IRA, 401K, my SSI, car, house, ..., but Wisdom and Understanding that comes from GOD is not included in the equation of man thereby we get a society, world, like we got today.
Proverbs 16:24 reminds me of how at work one time i took an order over the drive thru intercom and when the lady drove to the window to pay she said you sound very pleasant as you took my order. I didn't expect that. Christ in us is what makes the difference. I pray that God will continue to use us for the sake of the gospel bcuz God works thru our gifts in us to reach the lost hurt and broken!
A lot of vs connect the heart to the tongue. What goes into the heart comes out of the mouth. Even thinking on things, plants a seed in the heart. That seed will grow and eventually be spoken. If it becomes a word in season, WONDERFUL. If it becomes something hurtful then you have to ask, what thoughts did I give room to grow in my heart? It is troubled times which prove what is in our hearts.
I agree with your comment about hidden works. Too often the world wants credit for good deeds so they appear Christian or Godly, but in truth those works are rewarded immediately with the recognition. Doing inner work with God, allowing Him to guide and direct our lives by keeping an open heart and mind to His will, sends us down the right path. Have a Godly day!
ts beter to picture into our selves and look hw a way are and judge by ur self 4 the bible say the spiritual man judge all things bt 4 him not judged by anyone let check up our with God 4 only born of the spirit and led by the spirit pleases GOD and only by faith can please God romans 8:7 11 and hebrews 11:4 so dats ma comment and romans 10:17 speaks of faith lov v
proverbs 16:7 when the mans ways pleases the lord he even makes ur enemies at peace with u.ways a smething big that works adentify who u a. are a ways dat make u wat u are dat t all works with ur mentality, thing, habits and so even ur personal character hw you behave with people, community society and everything most a the friends
Proverbs chpt.16 v 25 when a man ways please God nothing too hard he won't do for you that's why we must serve him in spirit and truth and do which is right in God sight Verse 5 God does not love when you are proud in heart Verse 3 commit the works unto the lord, and they thoughts shall be established, Verse 20 He that handler a matter wisely shall find good:and whoso trusted in the Lord him
When one walks upright in the commands of the lord. As Jesus taught obeying the commands of Jesus will make the trinity love you. Then with gods love even enemies will find no fault with you and gods grace will give you peace. It is through obedience that we gain love. And just like others have said coveting a sin will make gods love leave you and can lead to troubles with those involved in the coveting. Coveting can also lead to stealing another sin which can cause further problems. So just like it says obey gods commands and you will be at peace with all. Comment if you agree or disagree. Cheers.
I think it means to me that even his enemies will not find a reason to accuse. When your following Gods commands to love God first...your keeping his law which pleases God and his second command to love others covers our right relationship with all those we meet and keeps us from offending by our deeds.
GOD us so amazing, His word NEVER returns void. The LORD speaks through many circumstances and situations. I will forever Trust in the LORD........

As we spend time with God and communicate with him daily our thought patterns change. It takes commitment to commit our works to him. The work is not always in the form of work as the world views it. It is anything that we labor for handing over to God so he can direct and guide us.
