    Please consider the following as you refuse to accept God's 'Life' giving message.

    God unites His people (the believers) by His Spirit ( John 4:24; Eph. 4:3-6,13).

    Luke 9:56. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them.

    Matthew 11:6. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me ( Isa. 8:14; Matthew 13:57; 24:10; 26:31; Rom. 9:32; 1 Cor. 1:23; 2:14; Gal. 5:11; 1 Peter 2:8).

    John 3:19. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

    Luke 11:22. But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

    1 John 4:4-6. Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he than is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

    Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice ( John 8:47; 18:37).

    You search the scriptures for in them ye think that ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life ( John 5:39,40).

    He that is spiritual judgeth (discerneth) all things, yet he himself is judged by no man ( 1 Cor. 2:15).

    There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true ( Proverbs 1:7; 10:8,21; 12:15; 13:20; 14:9; 16:22; 18:2; 20:3; 29:11; Luke 18:10-14; Cor. 1:20; 2:14; 15:36).

    We regret that you are not able to understand any of the above ( 1 Cor. 2:14; 2 Cor. 7:10). Notwithstanding: Seek and ye shall find ( Matthew 7:7).

    Don't let your self-righteousness stand in the way of your salvation ( Romans 10:2-4).

    In His Service.

  • Why is wisdom referred as a woman - In Reply on Proverbs 3:15 - 4 years ago
    1:20-21; 2:2-4; 3:14-18; 4:7-8; 8:1-36 and 9:1-12. Each time wisdom speaks. The first time wisdom speaks is in Proverbs 1:20-21.

    Wisdom shouts in the street,

    She lifts her voice in the square;

    At the head of the noisy streets she cries out;

    At the entrance of the gates in the city she utters her sayings: Proverbs 1:20-21 (NASB)

    The Hebrew word for wisdom is hakmot and this noun is a feminine plural. A literal reading would seem to be "Wisdom shouts in the street," except that the second line is in the singular - "she lifts her voice." F. C. Cook writes,

    In the Hebrew the noun is a feminine plural . . . as though this Wisdom were the queen of all wisdoms, uniting in herself all their excellences.[1]

    That is, since Proverbs 2:6 says that God gives wisdom, the wisdom in Proverbs is the queen of all wisdoms. There is no greater wisdom.

    For the LORD gives wisdom;

    From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;

    He stores up sound wisdom for the upright;

    He is a shield to those who walk uprightly . . . Proverbs 2:6-7 (NKJV)

    Why Is Wisdom A Woman?

    Why did Proverbs personify wisdom as a woman? The answer is we do not know because Scripture never tells us. However, many have speculated why wisdom is personified as a woman by suggesting different ideas, but we are never told. The explanations are merely speculation. It is wrong to state that Proverbs is written from a father to his son and then suggest that wisdom is personified as feminine in order to make wisdom appear attractive to the son when Proverbs 5:15-20 warns men to avoid prostitutes. Such a conclusion is contrary to the teaching of Scripture.

    Others suggest that wisdom is feminine because the Hebrew word is assigned the feminine gender. But this conclusion is wrong since the grammatical structure clearly refers to a female such as in Proverbs 3:13-15 and 9:1.

    Adam - well said. repentance is becoming a dirty word among many so called preachers nowadays.

    Yet John the baptist and Jesus preached it. Obedience and good works are almost a heresy to modern preachers it seems. As if being obedient is optional, just believe they say. Does not even Satan believe in God?

    Matthew Chapter 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (we need to do the will of the Father)

    22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

    23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

    This is a harsh reality.

    Proverbs 1:24 - 33: Because I have called, and ye refused; I [The LORD] have stretched out my HAND, and no man regarded; But ye have set at [nothing] nought all my counsel, and would none of my [correction] reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

    Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the [respect] fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

    Born again is as rebirth. It means both again. I prefer how Jesus explains it.

    In John 3, Jesus is telling Nicodemus how to be born again, spiritually. When he speaks about the wind, He is describing the Holy Spirit.

    We can pray for the Holy Spirit to visit our loved ones, convict them of sin and woo them to salvation. Pray and ask; then thank God for the answer. Having done all: to stand in FAITH.... not doubt. You gotta beat the devils off of family so they can respond to offered salvation.

    An angel tells Daniel, that Michael the Archangel had to fight against a demon prince to help this messenger get to Daniel.

    Daniel chapter 10:10-21.

    What you pray for, give thanks daily. Keep loved ones covered in prayers forbidding demonic influence.

    And nope, we don't get to order Michael around. We can ask God to give us angelic assistance. You already have a ministering angel.

    Here is a tip: when someone speaks forth the scriptures in the home; sings praises to God or talks what Jesus did today... angels hear it and record It in the Book of Remembrance . Malachi 3:16

    It's inspiring!

    "Then they that feared (respect & honor) the Lord spoke often one to another, and the Lord HEARKENED, and HEARD it, and a book of Remembrance was written BEFORE HIM, for them that feared the Lord, and thought upon His Name!

    So see, we can change the whole atmosphere in our homes! No swearing, no yelling insults and retorts; no gossip about others. Converse reverently about Jesus and you will have angels over at your place every day! How hard is that?

    If they hear you thanking the Lord for healing... the oil of joy for the spirit of heaviness, salvation of loved ones etc...

    Your prayer and worship songs are being fast tracked right up front of Gods throne!!!

    Because Jesus sits at the right hand of God Almighty God of all there is! Jesus hears.

    Turn off Metallica and turn on Dion's Kingdom in the Streets cd. What's better than a happier home?

    Michael, there was Jewish religious leader that asked a similar question to yours & you're probably aware of the story. His name was Nicodemus & he was confused when Jesus told him that he needed to be born again to see God's Kingdom (Read John 3:1-7). Nicodemus thought what Jesus meant by re-birth, was a second natural, physical birth, which of course, is laughable (as can be seen in verse 4). But Jesus then qualified his statement further, saying that a person must first be born physically (i.e. by water (v 5) which is the flesh (v 6)), and then secondly, to enter God's Kingdom, he must also be born spiritually (vv 5 & 6 again).

    So, Yes, re-birth by the Spirit, is true & that miracle can only take place when a person repents of his sin, humbles himself before God, & believes in the completed work of Jesus, accepting His death for him on the cross. There is no other way to receive new birth, though some have tried by leading a monastic lifestyle, self-improvement exercises & acts of piety, but all that serves is to bring on self-effort to attaining perfection (which will never happen) or trying to eliminate all their sin (which is impossible without a Perfect Sacrifice being made). So, I hope you can see that re-birth can only be an act by God upon a truly repentant person & not by man, and it is an act that isn't humanly understood, since the new birth takes place deep in one's life - in the spirit.
  • Mishael on Cains Death - In Reply on Proverbs 1:1 - 4 years ago
    I already posted the reply. Why else would what Lamech confessed to, be followed up with mention of Cains curse

    If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech, seventy and seven fold.

    Who knows IF Cain knew whoever killed him was going to suffer 70 times 7 years. That's hatred.

    Cains daughter gave birth to Lamech. Cain beat up his Grandson.

    Sounds like year 2020 huh?

    That question has been on that page a couple of days. I did my best.

    Sorry, it's verse 15; 23-24. Center column says, for wounding and bruising me.

    There's a similar judgment in Ezekiel 9:4-6

    It's not described as a murder; it describes a fight.
  • Adam - In Reply on Proverbs 1:1 - 4 years ago
    Hello Mishael, I'm not seeing where it says Lamech killed Cain. Genesis 4:23 says he killed a man, but it doesn't say who. It says it could be a young boy, if it was a young boy, then that eliminates Cain as a possibility, since Cain was older than Lamech. Otherwise, if it was a man and a boy- two people he killed- we still don't know who, unless it says somewhere else?
  • Mishael on strange fire - In Reply on Proverbs 1:1 - 4 years ago
    Reincarnation is a religion of the devil. He has a little shop of horrors where you buy in to strange religion. Many of these are explained in the Bible. Every false god brings in a lot of demons with them.

    Strange books in the home can attract demons. They look at all your reading material. Check out your hard drive...

    Salvation is not rebirth. It's NEW birth into Jesus Christ; and receiving the baptism only the Holy Spirit can perform. The only way you can grow up strong is to believe in the God of the Holy Bible.

    Satan desires to ascend and take over Gods throne. He tried twice: at Adam and Eve, also when he saw Jesus die on the Cross. Next time he will be thrown into hell.
  • Mishael on Cains Curse Genesis 4 5 - In Reply on Proverbs 1:1 - 4 years ago
    Cain was firstborn but God rejected Cains offering. Maybe it was substandard?

    Abel was 2nd born and God was pleased with his offering and blessed him.

    Cain was indignant and disputed the event. God didn't change His mind.

    Cain slew Abel. He was cursed and marked for death. Later he married and had children.

    Eventually Lamech was born. By accident He slew Cain and lived long enough to survive the 70 times 7 times curse for killing Cain. He survived and later Noah would be born. Genesis 4:23

    Then Eve's 3rd born son, Seth, lived 912 years.

    Leaster, the Book of Proverbs has generally been attributed to King Solomon (v1). The first seven verses speak about the purpose of this Book (to give forth wisdom, knowledge, understanding, etc.). Then from verse 8 onwards, Wisdom personified, speaks, giving instruction in various aspects of life & its experiences. As you read the Book, & you have questions in understanding verses, then present them here as someone may be able to guide you.

    Proverbs 1: what dose it mean?
  • Bob Hilt - In Reply on Genesis 20 - 4 years ago
    Jack in Psalms 111:9 He (Lord) sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.

    per my understanding only the Lord is to be called reverend.

    It comes from this root word: REVE'RE, verb transitive [Latin revereor; re and vereor, to fear.]

    To regard with fear mingled with respect and affection; to venerate; to reverence; to honor in estimation.

    Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

    It's good that u read every now and then but you should read it often and not just one book. Daily Bible reading is a Christians way of growth. Here are some scripture references for you to look up that talk about the pow of God's word and what it can do for you when you read them often; Joshua 1:8, Matthew 4:4, Psalm 119:97, 2 Timothy 2:15, 2 Timothy 3:14-17, Psalm 1:2-3, Acts 17:11, John 6:63, Hebrews 4:12, and Ephesians 6:17-20. May God work in your life and show you the importance of reading His word. God bless.

    Natsiq, the way I understand this part of Prov 1, is that firstly, a warning is given to not be swayed by evil intentioned people to join them in their crimes (v 10). Their enticement comes skilfully (vv 11-14). But Wisdom speaks to not walk with them to pursue evil (v 16) & then a truth is given in vv 17, 18: "Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird." This can be said in another easier way to understand: 'these wicked people are behaving foolishly, just as if a person trying to trap a bird sets out the trap (net) right in front of the bird. The bird who sees this trap is more wiser by not going near the trap than these wicked people who don't realize that they themselves will suffer in the end (getting caught in the net themselves), whether by the justice system & most certainly by God in judgement'.

    I believe there are unique times of fearing God & serving God. Sometimes the fear of God is to fear His wrath that will influence people to serving Him. I believe a heathy fear of God is important, like serving a righteous Father that is a God of justice: Psalms 2:11 , Psalms 5:7 , Psalms 15:4 , Psalms 25:14 , Psalms 34:11 , Proverbs 1:7 , Ecclesiastes 12:13, Ephesians 6:5 ,
    I love the Scripture Bob quoted 'perfect love casts out all fear' but that is what Jesus did in action & it's what we do when we LOVE Him, we trust Him through all fear, because He is faithful. Psalms 23:4 , Psalms 27:3 , Psalms 33:18 , Psalms 49:5
    Be encouraged, Jude 1:24
    I pray God lead you to a good Church

    Where applicable: referring to the people of verse 10-19 above. It appears their heart, mind, works, are almost identical to the 2-riders of the white and red horse found in opening of seal 1 and 2 of Revelation 6:1-4, because a sinful greed, working through the lust of the flesh, eye, proud of life, fueled both of these groups back then and also in 2020.
