I love this verse because if we all abides by just this verse we would have more peace in our lives.

I am learning the vocabulary of silence as I go and at the same time learning to say what God says . have success in my life and not destruction.I will bridle my tongue at all times. I say that by faith because I am on the road to success .I will get to the point that my mouth will always say Blessing at all times : even over others when they are mean and ugly.

God WILL fight for you, if you hold your peace.

God created a man and a women according to his purpose. Jesus gave the women a life by teaching his words and blessing us thy fruit of our wombs in order for us to give another life to live on this earth. We must follow Jesus and live like Jesus until rapture and believe him that he is the Son of the Living God who lay down his life for us. Thanks to Jesus for the blood that shed for us by doing this he confirmed his love and mercy to us. Jesus is faithful to his promises he will complete of what he is started. Be Born Again in Spirit and God created the women where he want us to be. Jesus loves you

All who act just because they saw others doing same but without understanding will end up in serious regret

I believe that women become contentious when they are not inline with their purpose. Women were formed and given the job of help mate, so when they idle or mislead then they get frustrated and that is when the enemy steps in, and she become contentious.

This is one of the most cut and dry scriptures of the bible. What I get from it is you should stay clear of being in relationships with women that are bad tempered and argumentative, I have been there and done that.

Most Bible verses are for both men and women to live accordingly, and can this apply to a man as well? I know of a man in my life that is argumentative contentious and I find this passage applies to him.

We prepare for adversity by having our weapon of choice, but none of this guarantees our safety. GOD is our only protection.

There is no advice, scheme,device or level of thinking that will counteract GODS word.

I am of the opinion that if a husband loves his wife sincerely and demonstrates it by his actions, his wil love him back and there wil not be room for nagging except if she has spiritual problem. Nagging most times come as a result of too much suspicion due of transperency in the relationship, but when there is geniune love and transperency, suspicion disppears and every one is happy so angers disapears, the home becomes very conducive to dwell in instead of the wilderness.

Verse 31. As believers we are at war with the enemy, even our own flesh. To remain in the will of God is to be kept safe in the arms of Jesus our Lord. To prepare our hose for battle is to be mindful of Him. Even the studying of his word. May God help us as we encounter the daily battles of life, and bless us daily with more victories for his honor and glory.

This is response to Clay comment. Clay this is not a slave manual but the book of life the BIBLE. The book of proverbs is all about how important getting wisdom, knowledge, and understanding is. That s why the Bible also states lean not to your own understanding but seek the Lord in all thy ways. This is the best book that anyone can read and teach not only their children but anyone who is lost. It teaches us how to live a righteous life so that we can inherit Heaven. So I suggest that you read and study the word more so that you can show yourself approve unto the Lord. May the Lord bless you with more wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of Him and his word. I couldn't figure out why my husband stayed away from me. Then God keeped reminding me of this verse today. Now I see. I had been bitter about the way he was living and I complained constantly, I'm with Gods help am going to stop this complaining and love him no matter what he's doing.
