Wow I being studying the word of God on and off for about a year and I tell you it is life that pass all understand that read to to get life i no longer living in death but god love and mercy
from my own point of view it means that whatever you see is subject to change, so whatever you are passing through is subject change, so hold on to your hope and faith in God.
My husband and I are going on a 2 night stay in Helen, Ga. They have wineries there and craft beer. I wanted to try some of this. Jesus also turned the water into wine. And many accused him of being a wine bibber why would they unless he drank some? Not really sure about this one. Matthew Henry 's comments sound like you can go to Hell by drinking wine, etc. Jesus forgives all sin, Would I go to Hell by tasting wine?
People envy the riches of sinful people and think they have it all. Greater is who is in us than the one in the world. Think of the story of the Israelites in wilderness from Egypt.
Though you might be going through difficult times such as Barreness, joblessness, sickness etc.and all these seems to be having no solution be rest assured that there is an END.
This regulation which reminds us not to set our hearts upon increased riches is reminiscent of the similar verse in Proverbs 23:5,". . . FOR RICHES CERTAINLY MAKE THEMSELVES WINGS; THEY FLY AWAY AS AN EAGLE TOWARD HEAVEN." The more our trust is in Christ the less the tendency to rely upon the temporal things of this world, and especially should those things come by robbery, violence against or oppression of others. Then we bring upon ourselves bitter sorrow after the ill-gotten gain is gone.
Satan has seduced people into looking to material things to provide security. However it can not provide direction or answers to life's deeper questions. We can not look to material things to fill spiritual needs, we will be disappointed. What matters is our relationship with Jehovah God, with him we can find genuine security.
This verse rates truth or wisdom to be very precious.its something worth having, like a treasure that should be sought and later guarded at all cost.its also talking about knowledge even concerning spiritual things. One big mistake that some christians make is that after getting saved, they assume that they know it all. We should be willing to be tutored so that we can work better in our father's vineyard.
Drunkard & glutton: A man without vision shall consume all his inheritance and the food of the swine shall be delicacy (the prodigal son) A little drowsiness shall he destroy his destiny in no time and shall beg for a penny without shame (no choice). (Learn the ways of the ant)
The bible nowhere states that red wine in moderation is ok, on the contrary there are many instances where the bible says not to drink at all, zilch, nada, zero. And the cons vs pros for red wine are like how far the east is from the west. The text speaks in Ephesians 5:18-20, Proverbs 23: 29-35, Proverbs 31:6 and many more verses...
Remove not the old landmark; Proverbs 23:10. How can one person remove a shared boundary marker without the knowledge and consent of the one with whom he/she shares the boundary and that be not unlawful? If not unlawful, at least, inconsiderate. If we do not recognize shared boundaries, we become insolent toward the one with whom we share the boundary. If two people share a property line, it is a very thin line. In actuality, a line is very thin, though it has two borders. A line has two sides and it shares a very narrow space in between - very small; but cross that very small space and you are on someone else's property. Now, if two share a line, and a marker is set defining that boundary, and one person removes the one and only boundary marker, that person has chosen to remove that which was to mark a boundary for two. That one has removed visibly that which was not only for him/herself, but, which was also for the other. A visual testament to a boundary has been taken away. If someone bought land and the neighbor of that land had been mowing way pass their boundary onto the land that has been recently bought, so that now the new owners have had people come onto their land accusing them of being on someone else's land because those people must have assumed because the other owner mowed so far over if was his land. So, the new owner would go and show the boundary marker so to put to rest the controversy. Now, the boundary marker has been removed - someone dug it up. The plot of land is surveyed, plotted, deeded and recorded, but, for some that visible boundary marker served to show what is legal and recorded. No wonder we have so many acts of insolence and violence in our society. That which is deeded and recorded by God is still the right statues and judgments, but, man has removed many of the old landmarks; some people may know the boundaries without the landmarks, many must not know where the boundaries are; or, even sadder, many just don't care.
The apostle Paul commands us to be not drunk with wine, in which is excess; but to be filled with the Spirit; Ephesians 5:18. The church has been slowing down his prayer life, let’s pray God to revive his Church in our generation ( Habakkuk 3:2).
We are called not to remove the old landmarks! The landmark of sound doctrine, of Christian traditions, etc. Enoch walked with God and was translated, Methuselah lived 969 years old, if we look carefully, we will see that those people belonged to the pious lineage, and didn’t remove the old landmarks!
Proverbs 22:28 “Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set." Proverbs 23:10 “Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless:" THEY SET THE STANDARD BY GOD's COMMAND WE HAVE NO RIGHT TO REMOVE IT. TRUTH WILL STAND JUST AS A ROCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RIVER.
Anyone seeking will find it.know better do better
I'm writing a sermon and part of it is about drinking it's a mo-no....
