Very little of the fear of the LORD is seen in the lives of people. Very little fear of the LORD is being witnessed among those who claim they have faith in GOD. How do I know this? Because the bible says "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of WISDOM" Proverbs 9:10 It is evident among us, that there's not too many operating under the wisdom, and guise of the LORD. What do we need? Do we need a bright light to shine out the heavens causing us to go blind before we acknowledge the only ONE true GOD? People are either too distracted, or their bored out of their GORD. Have we invited too much of the world into our lives? Jesus said in John 17:16 "They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world." With that we should be less inclined from going from the things of GOD, to being godly, or holy. Is that boring to some? Probably. Thanks to so many in our pulpits, who feel the need for worldly invention rather than good old fashioned prayer, many have sloped. Some people don't even know how to pray. Prayer should be instinctive for any child of GOD. Godliness, or holiness is looked at as Old fashioned. Who told you those lies? Let me guess. If a genuine fear of GOD doesn't start to make it's way back into the hearts of believers, there won't be a single person among you operating in God's love. On the contrary we will witness a forgery, and there won't be anything solid to grasp onto. Toss me a raft, and you get a twig instead, if we even get that! No more fear of GOD can be seen in our world. It has vanished like the wind. When was the last time you bowed your face to the ground? Not in front of people, because if your doing that you have something wrong with you. Is putting on a show in front of people showing me, and everyone else how holy you are? No, you have your reward. I sigh in disgust over these facts, and they are facts. We can either get it right, and change the way we do things, or you can be like clouds without rain. Offering nothing.
"Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars:" Proverbs 9:1 KJV
This was founded before the worlds began and the Spirit announces," she hath also furnished her table." It to to which Jesus at the door alluded,Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."(Re.3:20). Everyone who heard the call and is an overcomer even a he is shall find a new name indicating his place in the Great Banquet. So this house founded on Zion helps us understand how we should approach the significance of sevens. Seven pillars are seven schedules in the abstract breaking up the covenant between God and Man. Thus the heaven mentioned includes every believer in the Man component who is adopted by the Father and at the end we are looking at the new heaven. Likewise second day ,the analogy of pillar still stands, "And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.: God calls it the earth. At the end it is the new earth. (Ge.1:10) In short the narrative about the Son whose promise to the believer is this, " And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.:( John 14:3) This is the house Wisdom has built. Seven pillars are called days since God has by a decree given his Son a day. So this indivdual calls has gone forth even before the foundation of the world.
Seventy weeks mentioned in Daniel 9 is about a prophetic year and there are so many promises of God which are to be fulfilled. God's promise to Abraham is yet another. (Ge.12:3)
Be that as it may, ask ourselves which is greater? The day decreed for the Son (Ps.2:7) or a prophetic year. By literal approach what you come up is dead wrong since God a Spirit was pleased that all his fulness in the Son to dwell.
The wages of sin = Death and everlasting torment in hell.
Salvation is a very important question, and should be of the utmost importance in every Christians life.
Don't trust your salvation to anyone. There is "no shortcut" or "free ticket" to salvation! Read the bible for yourself, and learn to pray directly to God thru his Son Jesus Christ, and IF you are sincere, you will learn the answer to your salvation question from God himself.
I can point out a very important verse regarding losing salvation:
Hebrews 10:26
"For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"
Learn to Fear God.
Proverbs 9:10 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding."
Learn to Love God.
John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
In summary, Become obedient to God, Repent from sin, Fear God, Love God, read your bible and pray, and you will be doing well.
Your overriding message is not even recognisable to anyone truly living in God's Spirit. The best advice I can give you is to pray for humility and pray that you will learn to Fear God my friend, as this is the beginning of wisdom. Proverbs 9:10
The Way. Matthew 16:24 "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."
I pray that you can find humility my friend, and remember: we do not know when our time is up.
You are welcome to believe in the "Believer's Bible Commentary".Marion, IA: Laridian, Inc., 2021.
I choose to follow the God's Holy Bible KJB, and be instructed by God's Holy Spirit. I will listen to Jesus/God when he tells me to be obedient and pick my cross Matt 16:24.
I really hope you will open you heart to the true scriptures, instead of spreading man's interpretation of the scriptures as you are doing above. If/when you really pick up your cross, you will be under God's influence and His Holy Spirit - as opposed to mans/satans influence, and you will begin to learn to become obedient to God's TRUE commands, and when you do - you will know, Psalms 119:35 as you will be blessed when you DO, and you will be reprimanded when you DON"T. Proverbs 28:9John 5:14
Learn to Fear God, this is the beginning of Wisdom! Proverbs 9:10
And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God. (PHillipians 1:28)."
And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath. ( Joshua 2:11).
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom ( Proverbs 9:10). Continuing with some ideas from my previous post; it seems that when it comes to supposed testimonies of hell; the fear of the Lord and a sense of it being His wrath as a great part of the terror is lost in accounts of suffering. The same thing makes us even more suspect with those testimonies about heaven; even Moses who knew God unlike any other man at the time ( Exodus 33:11) and spoke to Him as a friend still had fear when He appeared in all His glory ( Deut. 9:19). WE ALL SHOULD TAKE THIS ADMONITION SERIOUSLY as to fear and AWE of Him no matter how long we have been believers (sorry but I felt caps were needed here).
The assurance of salvation and the evident blessings being present on someone brings meaning to the first quote from Philippians; and the fact that we will return with Him ( Rev. 19:14) will strike fear in those whose eyes are now opened;
along with the fear of judgment to come.
The concept of our enemies also needs to be addressed along with our own enmity toward God that we now have reconciled.
Romans 11:28 shows how the unbeliving Jews were enemies in one sense; yet Paul wished that he himself could be accursed to save them ( Romans 9:3). We are to love our enemies; but not fraternize to gain reputation as the world does; for what is honorable among men is an abomination to God ( Luke 16:15 also could be "highly esteemed"). We should have no part fellowshipping with those who preach a false Gospel; and in no uncertain terms testify to the peril the unsaved is in apart from repentance.
The church beyond five senses: the spiritual realm (cont)
Continuing the thought of the invisible realm (see John 20:29); we begin to understand the promises of God's protection of His saints ( Psalm 91:11; Isaiah 52:12) through the angels; we see how to correctly "bind and loose" ( Matt. 16:19); how to align more closely to what Christ is interceding in our behalf in seeking His will ( Heb. 7:25); and of course see those in bondage loosed from Satan's grip ( Luke 4:18-19) taken from Isaiah 61:1.
Those who love Him keep His commandments ( John 14:21) and originally found in Deuteronomy 7:9. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom ( Proverbs 9:10 but found many other places in scripture).
For a case study; let us examine 1 Corinthians 14:22-25 where we have tongues and prophecy as applying to unbelievers in one verse then switch to believers in the next verses. This means that evidence of the power of God needs to be present AND a clear message relatable to the sinner or saint present given. In reality there cannot be a supernatural manifestation of the Spirit WITHOUT a piercing of the soul ( Hebrews 4:12) that is of course accompanied by the Gospel as the rest of the verse indicates. It also shows how a church must be corrected as He chastises all His own (found further on in Hebrews 12 verse 6).
The fact that some spiritual activity is occuring isn't evidence that God is at work; it could be demons. The fact that this was still a place where His Spirit was at work was evident in the fact that Paul's severe discipline had results; and that right quick (as the Brits like to say). This is clear from chapter 7 of 2 Corinthians. As I started off this discourse; I mentioned the Ephesians. They were threatened with total removal of their candlestick in Revelation 2. Therefore; being dead would be worse than immature; even with all the correct doctrines and outer actions; ceremonies; etc.
I have stated starting this series my dissection of the Book of John. It is an excellent examination of the concept of Predestination of those the Father has given to the Son; and such facts about who is given or revealed the truth about Christ. Stating such a fact; however doesn't give those in the "hyper grace" camp as well as others license to skip over repentance as a necessary element of saving faith. God does grant repentance ( 2 Timothy 2:25 also in Acts). Perhaps it would be fair to say that it is much like salvation as a free gift; certainly it is part of what causes one to be saved. Again; avoiding the consequences of sin like Judas Iscariot did shows worldly sorrow; what Peter did was weep bitterly as He offended one that He deeply loved. ( 2 Cor. 7:10).
I also feel that it is very dangerous if we are in a Christian environment from our youth and don't really have a time that we can see a change in realizing we had been called from death to life. This is not to say that we should place all our cards on the validity of a one time statement; even if valid as we may discover that our hearts weren't really converted at first when He reveals Himself at a later time. God is beyond time and space; but if one IS to become a believer He will wait until that happens in THIS lifetime. That of course brings up questions as to why God holds back judgment for the lost; more cans of worms than I care to open at present. Our confidence; of course is to be in the finished work of Christ; but nonetheless we are HIs temple so to speak (see also 2 Corinthians 4:7). The Spirit must take residence to be truly in the faith ( John 14:23). This; as the verse indicates shows the Father active and present along with the Son of God.
Truly; one of the strongest indicators that we know the Lord is the fear of the Lord resides in us. Proverbs 9:10 is hardly isolated regarding that fact. His life should draw others to Christ in us
Luke 22:32 seems to be a reference related to this one; one version states "when you are converted" before mentioning strengthening the brethren. In that case; Christ would be the one who is foreseeing Peter's betrayal; but knows ultimately as one of God's children; that he will be restored and in fact a pillar in the development of the church. So it would appear that conversion doesn't always have to be a one time experience when we first come to the knowledge of salvation and in time and space are "saved." We should also examine carefully our confession by examining ourselves to see if we are in the faith. ( 2 Cor. 13:5). We could say the same for repentance as well; it is necessary for us to deliberately turn from our ways following sin; yet God Himself "grants us" the gift of repentance. (see 2 Timothy 2:25 and Acts 11 and several other passages). If we rebuke a wise man ( Proverbs 9:7) we get good results; with a mocker in the next verse; not so.
As the parable of the sower and seeds indicates; we must reach fruit production to indicate that we are truly abiding in Him; therefore we must pass the test of trials and temptations after our initial "conversion" experience; God chastises all those He loves.
I've tried it on another occasion and everyone on the site got a whiff of it. I might as well speak boldly, respectfully and truthfully, to the best of my ability.
The problem is the truth is not always taken well if you have not the same Spirit but if you do it will eventually become profitable.
Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. Proverbs 9:8-9.
That would be a tall order to fill Sharmine - to give a full explanation of Proverbs chapters 1 & 2. But I'll share an outline for you that might be a little useful.
Proverbs 1:1. Clearly, King Solomon is the major Author/contributor. And the meaning of Proverbs: these are the sayings taken from everyday life & intended to serve as practical guidelines for 'successful' living.
Proverbs 1:2-6. Its Purpose is that the reader might know wisdom & allow it to govern his/her life.
Proverbs 1:7. The Theme of the book is that the fear (deep reverence) of the LORD is the starting point and essence of wisdom (and Wisdom is the correct application of knowledge that comes through a right relationship with God).
Proverbs 1:8 to Proverbs 9:18. Show the Precepts of Wisdom (rules to be followed).
a. 1:8-19 (avoid bad company).
b. 1:20-33 (to heed Wisdom's advice; wisdom personified as a woman inviting all to come to her & learn).
c. 2:1-22 (the master teacher describes the joyful results of pursuing & acquiring Wisdom: Wisdom is God-given (vv6,7) & is beneficial as it delivers one from the ways of evil men (vv10-15), from the arms of the adulteress (vv 16-19), and preserves one's life & character (vv 20-22).
Hopefully, this broad outline will help you read & learn these chapters' contents & the reason for their writing.
The word of God is so powerful, there is wisdom which comes through obedience and our relationship with God. Relate to Adam and Eve, man always wants to overtake God's power in creation and as a result is what we are experiencing today. We have created so much evil and the light is shying away from us.
Let us remind ourselves:
Proverbs 9:10, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."
Dear "RichFairhurst", i read your post, and got inspired :) In peace i say: It mayby is how Christians live today who is the big question here: Are we in the great apostasy? Too many people think they are on the right path, but few are so, said Jesus Himself! Matthew 22:14
Then i better understand that God is patient with us and the days are made for us Christians, all this comes from God we know! He wants everyone who is predestined to come to His Rest. 1 Timothy 2:3-4
Oh Good God help us and find the way! We are so terribly slow in perception and body that we divide the road and go wrong without knowing it! Lord, use Your time! Thank You for Your patience that can not be measured by anyone! God bless us all for repentance from dead works to faith in the Counsel of the Living God. He who Is.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
It seems to me that political views are increasingly being expressed in "Kill or be killed" terms. Those were the same terms Jesus faced when he came. Roman rule was increasingly seen by most Jews as an existential threat that the Messiah had to destroy. However, Jesus solution was not to kill, but to be killed. I am glad it was, since there would be no salvation or eternal life for any of us if He had chosen to kill instead of to be killed. But the nation of Israel was destroyed when false Messiah's increasingly radicalized the Jews away from the cross into political rebellion.
Matthew 10:38-39
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
Matthew 16:24-25
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If anymanwill come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
This concept is so important that Jesus said these nearly identical words at least twice. When Jesus said this the disciples had no idea what He really meant to the point that Peter later even tried to rebuke Jesus over it. However, by the time these words were written in Matthew's Gospel the Holy Spirit had been given and the disciples understanding had been so changed that virtually all of the Apostles were violently killed for Christ. Jesus calls us to follow Him all the way and He was always up front that He demands our willingness to submit to our own deaths for His sake like He willingly submitted to His death for our sake. He overcame the world and so must we.
So count the cost and follow Him. And if anyone says it is either us or them to try to scare us or anger us over anything in this world to tempt us away from Christ's true calling of the cross, Christ has shown us the response we must give them. "Get behind me Satan
Was having a conversation with a Christian friend of mine, who was so appalled by what was happening in our world. I had to remind my friend, that we "desire a better country, that is, an heavenly".
If the people of this world want to destroy this beautiful planet earth with their sin, and forget God!?
Well, I'll let them.
AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE
I will serve the LORD!
Sometimes I think Christians get to involved in the things of this world, and forget what Jesus said "I am NOT of the world" John 17:16-26
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Proverbs 8:13
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Proverbs 19:23
The fear of the Lord tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.
Job 28:28
And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.
Luke 1:50
And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.
Phillipians 2:12-13
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to Will and to Do of his good pleasure.
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them (enemies) : for the Lord thy God, he it is that goes with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Comment: it means to honor and respect; to trust and follow God.
{Part 1} I asked this question to test how many believers would be able to show and convince someone who's looking for logical proof of the existence of God. I must say it is a little disappointing to see people get increasingly hostile when I replied with typical athiest/agnostic responses to test whether anyone would be able to appropriately respond to them. I came up with this challenge to strengthen your faith and knowledge, and increase your wisdom. Few of you even believe it possible to logically prove to someone that God exists. I believe these verses apply here: Proverbs 9:8, Proverbs 9:9, Proverbs 17:10.
If your faith is rooted in mere feelings, what makes your faith more real than that of anyone else's "religion"? I struggled with this for some time as I had never as far as I know encountered an obvious miracle such as having an encounter with God regardless of how I prayed for it. What was I left with? Inside I knew I was right, but I also wondered whether my "knowing" was something supernatural or does Proverbs 14:16 apply. Am I a confident fool or spiritually guided? Maybe both? Seeing how people know so little about the spirit, I didn't believe it to be reasonable to base the most important decision of my existence, which God is the Highest, on feelings.
Basically, is it possible to logically prove the existence of God? What about evolution, doesn't that hamper the proof of God? Is there a way to disprove evolution? Is there anyone so well learned that can show me this proof? Many people who mean well say "you can't prove the existence of God, but..." however that's absolutely false. God did not leave us without evidence to prove His own existence.
Sister Lise, may God grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.
The words of God are WRITTEN to his church, we individually are the church.
Now if the CHURCH is not going to be here when the beast and anti-christ are here, why would God have need of putting that in his word.
Revelation says which is, which was, and which is to come.
And no man could buy or sell, save he had the mark of the beast. Has not man been buying and selling since the world begin, man IS buying and selling, WAS buying and selling and SHALL BE buying and selling.
From the beginning God made vessel of honour, that God CHOSE, to fulfill his PURPOSE, but he also made vessels of dishonour, that he CHOSE, to fulfill his PURPOSE.
Abel was Chosen to be a vessel of honour, Cain was Chosen to be a vessel of dishonour.
Genesis 4:15...and set a MARK upon Cain (a beast, a vessel of dishonour)....
A BEAST has no KNOWLEDGE of GOD, we all start as THE BEAST.
Proverbs 9:1-2 WISDOM ....hath killed her BEAST.....
ANTI means against, opposed or not in agreement with: we all start out as ANTI christ.
Proverbs 16:6 By truth and mercy iniquity is purged (destroyed), and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil.
By studying God's Word THE BEAST and THE ANTI CHRIST (no knowledge and wisdom of God within you) is destroyed and replaced by LIFE and TRUTH ( Colossians 1:27), being BORN AGAIN by the word of God. ( 1 Peter 1:23).
Proverbs 9:2 She (WISDOM)(CHRIST, THE WORD) hath KILLED her beast...
Have you (the beast) ONLY been wounded ( Revelation 13:3) by God's WORD OR have you (the beast) been KILLED ( Revelation 13:10) by God's WORD?
Have you (the beast) stumbled ( Romans 9:32) over the stone (CHRIST) OR has the stone (CHRIST) fallen ( Matthew 21:44) on you and ground you to powder?

I very much enjoy conversing with you brother Earl. There will be a second post to this.
My view on all(everyone) being saved is this. If this were true, in my eyes, it actually would not matter, in the end, weather the person is a child of God or a child of the devil. As of coarse it is of the highest honor to have been chosen by God to be in Christ to be one of His and live for His Will. As truly my entire life is surrounded around Jesus Christ and wanting to live for the Will of our Father and please Him. Forever.
Though everybody is different I think some may just take that, all being saved in the end, as a free pass to do whatever they want, in this life, with no worry of consequence. Which I have stated before that it could be dangerous to preach that to the people who would take it as such and maybe make them worse people instead of better. Proverbs 9:10, Matthew 10:28, Hebrews 10:31.
As I have gone through my Bible and taken notes of verses from Christ and the Apostles about the "saved and unsaved". Easily over twenty times. Just seeing a verse like Matthew 25:46. Which states "everlasting punishment". Maybe in a verse like 1 Corinthians 1:18. Christ is "to them that perish" foolish but to us(saved) it is "the power of God".
Maybe to bring up one friend the Lord has brought me to just after being saved. It was at a funeral I first saw this friend after around twenty years. The Lord wanted me to tell someone about Him and something told me he was the one. This friend had actually had very spiritual experiences as well though not all good. The devil actually came to him and wanted his daughters soul. The Lord has pulled him from the road to destruction and set him on the right path. Though he is not perfect, as none of us are, we can talk for hours. One thing he perceives is this is "hell". As we don't see eye to eye on every aspect it's ok because I know he is a good person and courageous. Not afraid of any person or to speak what he feels.
In reply to " The 1st commandment is to LOVE God not fear him"
The Bible says many times to fear God. The Bible doesn't say to "not" fear God as you put it. 1 John 4:18 seems to suggest love and fear and opposites. Maybe these are mutually exclusive when it comes to how we treat others, but maybe God in an exception. The Bible clearly says to love God and clearly says to fear God. Therefore, I'm inclined to believe that it's both. Some say the fear means a high level of respect rather than a petrified fear. If anyone wants to compare the original Hebrew or Greek to see if its the same word or not, that might be helpful.
Proverbs 9:10, Ephesians 5:21, Jeremiah 32:39, Luke 12:5, Leviticus 25:17.
God is Love and is often emphasized but we probably don't emphasize enough on the judgment of God and the fear of the LORD.
You often hear "God loves you, he wants you with him" but they neglect to tell them God is Holy and hates sin, repent and turn to him or you are going to Hell.
Proverbs 9:10-11. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.
HERE IT SPEAKS OF REVERENCE.
There is occasion where we don't fear
and that's when we are testifying.
Here in Timothy the word fear is to not be timid.
2 Timothy 1:6-8 (KJV) Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
We are not to have fear when we are in the will of God testifying to the truth God displaying faith in God.
Hopefully someone can add to this and bless us with more wisdom on this.
Either way.Of coarse there are slight changes here and there, in the Scriptures, as it is interpreted. As you know it is still the living Word of God. I myself was lead to Jesus Christ from some new "translation" of the Holy Bible. It still lead me to the Lord who is the way the, the truth, and the life.
I think judging can be perceived two ways. One is to judge someone and think "that's it, no hope for him" and curse them. The other is to judge what is right from wrong, truth from lies, and try to help others by telling them their faults. Now of coarse don't be a hypocrite and tell someone not to do something you also do. Of coarse the one Judge over all is Jesus Christ and we are all to be judged, by what we have done, in the end. Though we who follow Jesus Christ are the body of Christ. As He uses us as He pleases to do His Will.
About this life. A simple view is that this life is God's field and it is a place for testing of hearts and souls. Given in many parables by the Lord. The entire reason why God made us to live here, and whatnot, only God can answer. As it is probably not to be known while we are here. It is God's Will that shall be done not ours.
Here are some verses for you, about "judging" others. Not condemning others. To help them if able, not to curse them. Are we not to know, or judge, even a false prophet by their fruits? A tree is known by it's fruit.
"The House with Seven Pillars"

Proverbs 28:9 John 5:14
Learn to Fear God, this is the beginning of Wisdom! Proverbs 9:10
Read and Believe.
The assurance of salvation and the evident blessings being present on someone brings meaning to the first quote from Philippians; and the fact that we will return with Him ( Rev. 19:14) will strike fear in those whose eyes are now opened;
along with the fear of judgment to come.
John 16:8 shows how the true Spirit of God works.
His life should draw others to Christ in us
As the parable of the sower and seeds indicates; we must reach fruit production to indicate that we are truly abiding in Him; therefore we must pass the test of trials and temptations after our initial "conversion" experience; God chastises all those He loves.
It's hard to whisper on a site.
God bless.
Let us remind ourselves:
Proverbs 9:10, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."
Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. Proverbs 9:7-9 (KJV)
Amen.
Well stated Adrian.
God bless.
Psalms 73:22-28, Titus 3:2-8, Matthew 7:26,
1 Corinthians 4:9-13, Proverbs 4:5-18, Proverbs 5:1-2,
1Corinthians 1:18-31,
Hopefully these are helpful in your study.
Mishael
In part 2 I will show some of this evidence.
God Bless You.
Are you a man? Do you buy and sell? We best judge ourselves by the words of God.
Proverbs 9:1 WISDOM (CHRIST) hath builded her house... ( Hebrews 3:6)
We DIE daily to God's WORD.
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
We are not to have fear when we are in the will of God testifying to the truth God displaying faith in God.
Hopefully someone can add to this and bless us with more wisdom on this.
Thanks Boyd.
Is this my brother in Sverige?

When I started reading the Book of Proverbs I had expect a list of everyday good advice but the Book isn't easy reading.
