Hello Betty-Ellen. Psalm 100, a Psalm of Praise by an unknown author, is his declaration of joy & praise as he comes before the LORD in worship. In verse 4, he speaks of entering the gates of the Tabernacle or Temple precinct with thanksgiving and also going further in to the open area in front of the Tabernacle/Temple (the court) with praise. Worship & praise are continually upon his lips as knows the significance of this holy place & where the High Priest meets with God each year.
Today, those who are saved & in Christ, have bodies indwelled by the Spirit of God ( 1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 6:19), & this reminds us that no matter where we are or whatever situation we find ourselves in, we can always talk to God, listen to Him, be comforted by Him & to offer praise & thanksgiving to Him. Certainly, we can also rejoice when entering a Church building preparing ourselves for corporate learning & worship, but we have so much more than those in olden days, where worship of God is not confined in a set aside area, but in response to the Holy Spirit within us causing us to lift our hearts & voices to God always.
The wage of sin is death, the death of this body of flesh. Spiritual death is impossible because Spirit is IMMORTAL.

Dear Glenn , I'm not sure if I understand you correctly when you say that no one has died . There are lots of scriptures I could ask you about , I will choose Ezekiel Ch 18 , what do you think it is about ? If death is not the cessation of life what is it ? If when we die we still live on in some form why would God say what He does in v23 and v32 of Ch 18 . I feel as if I am beeing brutal towards you and I'm sorry because that is not my intention . If we go to somewhere wonderfull after our physical bodies die why aren't Christians everywhere killing themselves so they can be in that wonderfull place ? As far as I'm aware the Bible does not say that suicide is a sin . Many Christians have extremely hard lives in very difficult and distressing circumstances , why aren't they killing themselves to get to that lovely place as soon as possible ? I am genuinely interested to know what you believe and why you believe it . I have noticed that a lot of people , not you or anyone on this site , family friends work colleagues etc are extremely offended at the thought of ceasing to exist ,people of other faiths etc prefer to believe that 'something ' happens to us or we go 'somewhere' . I honestly think this belief comes from human pride , our pride in our own selves and desire to be of some importance in some way to some one . We are grass . But for the love and grace of God in devising a perfect means of salvation and without Christ's love and obedience to God that's what we would always be , grass . Here today gone tomorrow . Hi , good news is that, no one is dead as of now ( spiritual) an as we are taught, there is only one person sworn to death , an that's Lucifer as described in Ezekiel chapter 28 , course those fallen angels, are doomed for destruction, as described in Jude ,.. otherwise, all who have passed in flesh, are on one side of the gulf or the other, as described in the story of lazeris an the rich man,.. bottom line, no one is gone , or dead !!! An no one has stopped existing as of now ,.. that'll all be worked out by our Heavenly Father, on the great white throne judgement, after the millennium, an as described, judgement starts at the pulpit, so teachers , preachers , pastors, ANYONE who teaches Gods word, should be very cautious, for as described, you'll not only answer for your sins , but also for the ones you do taught !!! Hi Leroy , the day-of Christ's return to earth is as close as the day of your death is to you . I believe that when I die I shall cease to exist until that moment when Christ returns to establish his Father's Kingdom on earth , I shall know nothing .When he returns I will be ressurected , called into his presence to be judged and the hopefully I will be permitted a place in his Father's Kingdom .
The Bible has to fulfill it's according to God word, so why or so many preachers saying God could come back today, tomorrow, next week when the bible is not fulfill it self yet?
Verse 1 caught my eye when He said " I am sought of them that ask not for me; I am found of them that sought me not. Whether we ask not He is always there to help us. He knows what our needs are before we ask. Psalms 100:3 says it is God that hath made us not we ourselves. He knows our going out and coming in. I thank Him for always being there for me during both my good and bad times. I read this chapter and comments through watery eyes. This proves that God is waiting for us to come to Him, He has the answer.
Hi Sheila. It would be difficult to share on verse 4 only, without looking at the whole Psalm. So, I shall give some thoughts for you. The author of Psalm 100 is unknown, but it is a call for ALL to worship the LORD. The Psalmist is so full of praise & thanksgiving, that he longs for all the inhabitants of the Earth to worship the LORD (v1).
He then adds in verse 3, to know that the LORD is (the One) God. Psalm 96:5: "For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens." That there can only be one True God for He is the One Who has created us, we are accounted as His very own - as a Shepherd Who owns, guards & nourishes His flock - He loves all His creation, even those who reject or deny Him - He gives blessing to each one ( Matthew 5:45: "(God) maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust."). And a further reminder, that He created mankind & we are not "self-created" or from our vain imaginations, but that God is not only our Creator but our Sustainer & Provider.
With that Truth in our hearts, why shouldn't all people respond with "thanksgiving, praise & blessing" to His Name (v 4), & especially to those to Whom He has revealed Himself (Israel) & to those of us, by virtue of His Son's Death & Resurrection & Gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Israel should have entered the Temple gates & courtyard with such joy & confidence in their Creator but sin hid God's Face from them ( Isaiah 59:2). Likewise, harbouring sin in our lives, will keep us from joy & confidence in the Lord & our praise might be only empty words habitually spoken. But when we come into the Holy Place (the place of His Presence, of joy & rest), we can be confident because of "having clean hands, and a pure heart" ( Psalm 24:4) & that because of Jesus' shed Blood for us ( Hebrews 10:19-22). We can praise Him from our hearts through words, music, testimony & witness ( Hebrews 13:15).
Your belief is truly pure. Though I still cannot make that decision from the things in the Bible. Again, as God's ways and thoughts are so high above us I know I could be wrong. Ecclesiastes 11:5.

The words are generally used to signify that Christ has redeemed some of all sorts-- some Jews, some Gentiles, some rich, some poor, and has not restricted His redemption to either Jew or Gentile ..."
Now I won't go as far as to say your belief is incorrect as I perceive you more wise than I. Again there are other things that keep me to the "saved and unsaved" in the end.
Like I stated before in that if all were to be saved in the end I really would see no real use of the Bible, following Christ, doing right or wrong, if in the end it doesn't matter. This also does not seem fair to all the people that may have been tortured or killed by someone(say Hitler) and He is to be saved and be with them for eternity.

I guess simply I understand "the Day of the Lord" as being now. As in the term we have for AD after the year. This comes from the Latin words "Anno Domini" basically meaning "year of the Lord" as after the Lord Jesus Christ came to earth.
In that I believe all have the chance and ability to come to Christ and be saved. Though many Scriptures point not all shall be saved in the end. The wheat shall be separated form the tares, the sheep from the goats, etc. Some make it to life eternal some to eternal damnation. Christ taught this many times so I really cant see it another way.
As from other Scriptures in that in the end the righteous shall be separated from the wicked and never have to see them ever again. I don't see all going to the same place in the end.
Like I stated before if that is what God want's of coarse that is what will happen. I don't wish bad on anyone even them which I would call my enemies. Though the only enemy I really have is satan, evil, sin, etc. The people who are following those things instead of God and Christ we are told it does not end well for them. Though I can't see Christ preaching these things for no reason.

Before we can truly start to understand the scriptures we have to first understand THE DAY OF THE LORD.
Most look at God's word through natural eyes. A day to them is a period of 24 hours. In the world with no beginning and no end; time does't exist. One day is a thousand years; even this doesn't mean a ratio 1 to 1000.
The old testament is full of prophecies about the DAY OF THE LORD; all these prophecies of that day (a day called TODAY) were fulfilled when John the Baptist came proclaiming the kingdom of God is at hand. That day of the Lord; a day called TODAY is still in existence 2000 years latter; called TODAY (if you hear my voice harden not your hearts). This ONE day shall continue as long as this age of the church last.
THE DAY OF THE LORD is the day that it became possible to have CHRIST IN YOU. We don't know what hour we are in; this DAY OF THE LORD. But the prophecy in Zachariah says:
Zachariah 14:6 And it shall come to pass IN THAT DAY, that the light (Christ is the light) shall not be clear, nor dark:
Zachariah 14:7 But it shall be ONE day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it SHALL COME TO PASS, that at evening time IT SHALL BE LIGHT.
Understanding this DAY OF THE LORD is necessary as we discuss Isaiah 66 and other scriptures.

In regards to Luke 12:10. Everything we do we do by the Spirit, no man that has the spirit of God will blasphem the Holyspirit.
God's kingdom will not if the Holyspirit blasphem itself!
You see the notion here in Luke 11:17-18. But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them,
( Every kingdom ) divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.
If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.
What is the works and purpose of the Holyspirit?

Would the Holyspirit teach man to blasphem the Holyspirit?

Anyone who thinks a Christian can blasphem the Holyspirit may not understand what blasphem the Holyspirit means.
Now lets revisit Luke 12:10 and see who Jesus is talking to and who the warning goes out to.

Chapter 11 the Lord is giving the woes to the Pharisees.

He's not warning the disciples of blasphemy of the Holyspirit. HE CHOSE THEM AND HE CAN KEEP THEM.

As from other Scriptures in that in the end the righteous shall be separated from the wicked and never have to see them ever again. I don't see all going to the same place in the end.
Like I stated before if that is what God want's of coarse that is what will happen. I don't wish bad on anyone even them which I would call my enemies. Though the only enemy I really have is satan, evil, sin, etc. The people who are following those things instead of God and Christ we are told it does not end well for them. Though I can't see Christ preaching these things for no reason.

Before we can truly start to understand the scriptures we have to first understand THE DAY OF THE LORD.
Most look at God's word through natural eyes. A day to them is a period of 24 hours. In the world with no beginning and no end; time does't exist. One day is a thousand years; even this doesn't mean a ratio 1 to 1000.
The old testament is full of prophecies about the DAY OF THE LORD; all these prophecies of that day (a day called TODAY) were fulfilled when John the Baptist came proclaiming the kingdom of God is at hand. That day of the Lord; a day called TODAY is still in existence 2000 years latter; called TODAY (if you hear my voice harden not your hearts). This ONE day shall continue as long as this age of the church last.
THE DAY OF THE LORD is the day that it became possible to have CHRIST IN YOU. We don't know what hour we are in; this DAY OF THE LORD. But the prophecy in Zachariah says:
Zachariah 14:6 And it shall come to pass IN THAT DAY, that the light (Christ is the light) shall not be clear, nor dark:
Zachariah 14:7 But it shall be ONE day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it SHALL COME TO PASS, that at evening time IT SHALL BE LIGHT.
Understanding this DAY OF THE LORD is necessary as we discuss Isaiah 66 and other scriptures.
YES I do believe that in the ages to come ALL WILL BE IN CHRIST.
1 Corinthians 15:28 And when ALL THINGS shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject to him who put ALL THINGS under him, THAT GOD MAY BE ALL IN ALL.
A good portion of the scriptures is prophecy; as is:
Psalms 22:26 The meek shall eat (my flesh and drink my blood; which is the word of God) and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek(s) him (we praise him because he seeks us; we don't seek him), your heart shall live forever (eternal life being resurrected with him; Revelation 20:5-6).
Psalms 22:27 ALL the ENDS OF THE WORLD SHALL REMEMBER AND TURN UNTO THE LORD: and ALL the kindreds of the nations SHALL WORSHIP BEFORE THEE.
Psalms 22:28 For the kingdom is the LORD'S (accomplished at his death and resurrection; Revelation 11:15,): and he is the governor among the nations.
Psalms 22:29 And they (firstborn, children of HIS resurrection) that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they (the ones not raised with him at HIS resurrection) that go down to the dust (awaiting the second resurrection) SHALL BOW BEFORE HIM: and NONE can keep alive his own soul.
Psalms 22:30 A seed (firstborn) shall serve him; it (seed or the firstborn) shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation (the age of the firstborn or the age of the church).
Psalms 22:31 They (Firstborn, Elect, Saints) shall come (in the next ages), and shall declare HIS righteousness unto a people (those raised in the second resurrection) THAT SHALL BE BORN, that HE hath done this.
The shadow in the old testament is the feast of weeks (feast of firstfruits) and the feast of the ingathering (final harvest).
God's kingdom will not if the Holyspirit blasphem itself!
You see the notion here in Luke 11:17-18. But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them,
( Every kingdom ) divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.
If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.
What is the works and purpose of the Holyspirit?
Here's a few:
:He seals us.
Ephesians 4:30. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
If God seals us can we unsealed ourselves? If so what does a seal mean?
He teaches us:
1 Corinthians 2:13. WHICH THINGS ALSO WE SPEAK, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Would the Holyspirit teach man to blasphem the Holyspirit?
1 John 2:27. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
Anyone who thinks a Christian can blasphem the Holyspirit may not understand what blasphem the Holyspirit means.
Now lets revisit Luke 12:10 and see who Jesus is talking to and who the warning goes out to.
Luke 12:1 (KJV) In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the PHARISEES, which is hypocrisy.
Chapter 11 the Lord is giving the woes to the Pharisees.
Chapter 12 he's taking to the disciples about the leaven of the Pharisees.
He's not warning the disciples of blasphemy of the Holyspirit. HE CHOSE THEM AND HE CAN KEEP THEM.
