I know this has been discussed before and we have different understandings, but just have a couple of thoughts to consider, I will not go over all this prophecy just the first of 9:27.
If I am correct, it is thought the 69th week ended when Jesus' ride into Jerusalem fulfilling Zech. 9:9. Dan. 9:26 says 69 weeks unto the Messiah, should we look over the 3.5 years from when Jesus was baptized and anointed with the Holy Spirit? Look at the multitude that met Him when He rode in, they knew who He was, He came for the lost sheep of Israel.
The antichrist will make a covenant with Israel. We go to Dan. 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: So here we have the last week/7 years and he is said to be the antichrist.
"He shall confirm the covenant with many", could he in this verse fit Jesus? Psalms 105:8-11 Isaiah 42:6Isaiah 49:8Isaiah 49:6Romans 15:8Galatians 3:17Hebrews 13:20 I could list many more. The word confirm does not mean make, it shows us the covenant already existed. Confirm means to strengthen, to be stronger.
God made a covenant with Abraham and Abraham said God would provide Himself a Lamb, Genesis 22:7-8, was Jesus this Lamb, Isaiah 53:7John 1:29Revelation 5:6. This covenant is with many, Zechariah 2:11Isaiah 53:11Matthew 20:28Matthew 26:28Romans 5:15,19. Jesus was sent to confirm the promise/covenant made unto Abraham, Romans 15:8. Could Jesus be this he?
"In the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease" Sacrifice and Oblation, the first word is talking about the daily sacrifices, the Tamid, the morning and evening lamb the same time Jesus was on the cross 9 AM the first to 3 PM the last. Then the second word refers to all of the other offerings presented to the Lord.
Do you think the sacrifice and oblation was designed by God to completely cease upon the finished work of Jesus on the cross? Hebrews 9.
Yes I did, thnx. after more study & prayer I came to the conclusion that I tend to jump to conclusion because I'm so freaked out by the worlds evil today that I tend to critic every little thing. In doing so, in this case, I learned something I never knew. For that I thank you & anyone pointing out truth. Pray y'all stay warm God bless "Texsis"
Texsis and Chris no apologies necessary. In reading Psalms 105 I was thinking that God does all His holy will. In 40 and 41 He certainly could have reminded us of our sin, it was plentiful, but showed His grace and mercy instead. I did not come here to argue or be contentious and I will not condemn another's servant, I was just praising God.
Thanks Texsis. As you probably know, even the name 'Christian' was given to 'those Christ followers' by the people in Antioch ( Acts 11:26), & was intended to be used in a derogatory manner, as Gerald has pointed out in his other comments. So it wasn't a glowing affectionate name that was given at that time but it certainly became a badge worthy to be carried on their, & our, hearts & lips, with great honor.
And Paul considered himself to be an apostle ( 1 Corinthians 1:1; 2 Corinthians 2:1), though the sense here I think, was that he was numbered with the other apostles yet one born out of due time (i.e. the others were direct witnesses of Jesus, walked with Him & called by Him, whereas Paul's qualification was of his explicit vision & calling to be Jesus' chosen vessel). Since Paul's day, there has been no other apostle, except Barnabas & those others since, who fulfil the apostolic definition of being God's messenger to the unsaved but not of the original 12 + 1.
It may be yet didn't sound that way when I first read it tho after re-reading & reading your references, I can see he meant well & not being negative. Forgive me DJ & Chris. It was shaped like a cross and knowing Gods creation, long before any cross or tree, if you look up Laminin, is why sit bothers some. All Gods creation has purpose. He even knew who was going to give the cross its name as well as putting a name to Jesus believers & followers, "Christian". I myself prefer simply "believer" or in conversation amongst a group, rightly divided. Tho Paul wasn't one of Jesus direct Apostles, he was directly appointed by Jesus, on the road to Damascus, to teach the gentiles. Yet many include him as an apostle. In the long run if we keep our focus on Jesus & doing Gods will in our life, nothing else really matter.
Hi Texsis. I think D J Grim might be referring to Acts 5:30; Acts 10:39; Acts 13:29. And this is understood as the Cross, the stake bringing death that was once fashioned from a tree.
DJ Grim, ONLY word tree in Psalms 105: in verse 33; "He smote(struck)their vines also & their fig trees; & brake (splintered) the trees of their coasts(territory)". Absolutely Nothing about being nailed to a tree. Praise goes to Jesus for our sins that HE was nailed to said cross.! Furthermore, He, God/Jesus remembers them (our sins) no more. We ask God for forgiveness in Jesus name hence 'through HIM we are saved'. To GOD be all glory *The word cross is mentioned 28 times in new testament. Esword dictionary states: From the base of G2476; a stake or post (as set upright), that is, (specifically) a pole or cross (as an instrument of capital punishment); figuratively exposure to death, that is, self denial; by implication the atonement 'of Christ':-cross. 'The cross' is the place where all the wounds of sin are healed. If you suffer from emotional problems--guilt, anxiety, depression, anger, or whatever-there is healing in the "cross of Christ". If you are going through tragedy or suffering, there is comfort in abundance as you contemplate the sufferings of the 'spotless Savior' on your behalf. Who was standing by "the Cross of Jesus"? Many a witness that HE was nailed to "a cross" Simply put, the meaning of "the cross" is death. "The Cross" is a great contradiction. A simple upright post with a transverse bar used crucifixion. It's a symbol of death, but so much more. Death and life, hate and love, violence and peace, accusation and forgiveness, sin and purity, brokenness & wholeness, all is lost yet everything is gained, destruction & restoration, defeat and victory. Once the cruelest form of execution, *yet now it is a symbol 'of abundant life*'. The Life JESUS gave to save anyone willing to except Him for dying for their sins. God showed great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners ( Romans 5:8). I feel, it's the unbelievers way to demean Jesus death & resurrection by calling it a tree. He died4U & loves you, RESPECT HIM PLEASE.!!
There are more than one instance where the Bible records this happened...
And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, ( Deuteronomy 34:10)
And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. ( Genesis 32:30)
Jacob boldly says, And my life is perserved...
Why else would Jacob say, And my life is preserved?
And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, ( Numbers 14:14)
And the Bible commands us to seek His face...
When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. . ( Psalms 27:8)
Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. ( Psalms 105:4)
Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. ( 1 Chronicles 16:11)
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. ( 2 Chronicles 7:14)
The Mormons have a book of Scripture that tells us how Moses and others saw God face to face and lived.
Mormon Scripture says the only way man can see God face to face and live is to be out of the body having God's priesthood.

2 Chronicles 7:14
IF MY PEOPLE, which are called by my name, SHALL HUMBLE themselves, and pray, and seek MY FACE (not my hand), and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
NOTE: our nation is in severe drought.
One rogue lightning storm can set dry forests on fire. Pray every day for refreshing to come again.
No rain, no harvests, less food, even higher food prices at the store.
Gen 7:2-3 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
That was when Noah and his family built the Ark, according to Gods instructions. He preached salvation to surrounding communities the whole time. Only 8 people were on the Ark when the rains came. Plus pairs of all creatures, from extra large to really small were saved on the Ark. Everything drank milk to live.
When the event was over, the door was opened and all the creatures dispersed over the earth again.
Later God promised never again to flood the earth. But a future day is approaching when what's written in 2 Peter 3, will happen.
It's not global warming or climate change. Be at peace. It is the earth ramping up for the end. God is going to restore earth to the garden of Eden. His perfect plan. All the scars man has made upon earth will be removed.
We will see Jesus every day. You and all those you love, can be a part of this wonder. Take His hand and don't let go. Scripture search: new heavens and new earth; New Jerusalem.
This is a fascinating thing. I heard a sermon one time saying the words spoken about "if someone sees the face of GOD they cannot live" he said "they cannot live, the same" Is this the question you're looking deeper into? Genesis 32:20,30, Exodus 33:11, Exodus 34:28-30,35,
It would be very interesting to do a study on the words. Exodus 3:6, Exodus 33:20,23, Numbers 6:25, Deuteronomy 5:1-5, Deuteronomy 31:17,18, Deuteronomy 32:20, Deuteronomy 34:10, Judges 6:22, 1Kings 13:6, 1Chronicles 16:11, 2Chronicles 7:14, 2Chronicles 30:9, Psalms 13:1, Psalms 17:5, Psalms 22:24, Psalms 105:4, Isaiah 54:8, Isaiah 59:2, Jeremiah 21:10, Ezekiel 20:35,
Perhaps it's the word "man" that the emphasise is. Romans 8:14, Galatians 4:6, Hebrews 12:7, John 1:12, Philippians 2:15, 1John 3:1,2 , 1John 4:15, How sad it is when a living father says "see his face no more" or turns his face.
Genesis 3:8-10, interestingly, in this translation it says they heard "the voice of the LORD" they "hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God"
What's amazing is: Genesis 4:16, it appears even though they were cast out of the garden GOD's presence was still with them.
Genesis 25:23-28, Genesis 32:1,24,25,26,27,28, Genesis 35:10, Genesis 46:2, Genesis 46:5, * Genesis 50:24, Exodus 1:1-5, * 1Kings 18:31, * Psalms 14:7, Psalms 105:10, interesting how this scripture is broken down like this 'And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law,' 'and to Israel an everlasting covenant ' 2 Samuel 7:7,
They are descendents, of Jacob aka "Israel' the lineage of CHRIST Jesus, Matthew 1,
1. Yes I believe in some ways our faith may be considered more complicated because they being with Jesus " physically " John 3:12, John 14:11, yet scripture says : 2 Chronicles 20:20, we have so many accumulated testimonies, prophecy fulfilled, the written WORD of GOD from many generations past in many ways we have all that to help build upon our faith. Then we have personal experiences & witness of miraculous events in our present days & years. I believe it's powerful to see the biblical text, New & Old Tstm & imagine the future with the stacked testimonies & understanding time accumulates more information. When the days of tribulation come the stacked accounts with all scripture will be that much bigger. GOD is amazing. I realized the other day the wealth of faith building information at our reach. I told a young man, "Yes, these days are difficult but we have so much to draw from". & GOD in HIS infinite wisdom gives each generation what they need. Romans 10:17, John 20:29,
2. Luke 23:43, I guess it applies to today to yes prove "nothing is impossible with GOD" Luke 1:37, & possibly to encourage us that it's not too late to repent, in dying moment.
Next. (?) Interesting observation. Matthew 4:12, Matthew 23:37, GOD gives people many chances to do good. Mark 6:20, Mark 6:19-31, read though, Mark 6:32-46, did Jesus even take time to mourn? It seems HE went to take a moment, yet compassion moved HIM to minister.
At 1st read I had thought you asked about Peter & Paul comparison of Peter released & Paul was not, also same "(charges) Acts 12:5-17, Acts 21:30-40, - Acts 22, - Acts 23, - Acts 24, - Acts 25, - Acts 26, - Acts 27,-, Acts 28,
My emotion would want to say "all chains are evil" however Mark 5:3-20, Jude 1:6, 2 Peter 2:4,
GOD uses all for good , Psalms 105:17-25, Romans 8:28-30, while Paul was in prison he wrote letters that became an important part of our HOLY Bible today.
The concept of the covenant with Abraham in Genesis was to bring his descendants out of Egypt to fulfill God's promises in Genesis 15. Joseph was sold into slavery later on; and after falsely imprisoned; helped to save his own family from a plague and was highly esteemed in the Pharaoh's presence. There would be a future inheritance of the land of Canaan; as was later instructed to Moses as he was guided by God in the 40 years in the desert after God judged the Egyptians as promised after the 400 years had elapsed. This particular Psalm seems to bypass all the stubbornness of the people; particularly with the provision of the quail which God also used to judge many with a plague when the food was still in their mouths for complaining about their situation with manna and wanting to return to Egypt ( Numbers 11:31-34). Moses himself failed because of anger in the way he struck the rock as stated in verse 41 and that cost him entry into the Promised land; but again God's provision is the only thing mentioned. In all of this and the failures of many Prophets during this period; not to mention the entire original population except for Caleb and Joshua being wiped out in the desert; his original promises were fulfilled and the descendants finally came into the land of promise.
Good, you're at the right site. Start reading the WORD written inside by clicking the Books, I like Luke when I started that was great to show me as new study who Christ Jesus was, is & is to come. Hover over the scripture here, should bring you straight to it.
Luke 1:1-4, you can continue to read by clicking read full chapter the scroll down, click tab on edges to next chapter, etc. Many people enjoy Psalms, I didn't enjoy it as much as a new beginner study but do enjoy it much more now after years of study.
Psalms 1:1-3,
U may enjoy Exodus, which actually begins in Genesis 37:1-36, continues : Genesis 39:1-23, Genesis 40:1-23, Genesis 41:1-57, Genesis 42:1-38, Genesis 43:1-34, Genesis 44:1-34,
[Note this scripture chapter 44, Genesis, if you noticed we skipped Genesis 38, because it jumps from Joseph to Judah. Now if you read Genesis 38:1-30, you can understand a few things on deeper level = Judah maybe knows painful loss of children at this point in his life & even the difference of love towards children of his "loved wife". Next very importance of Judah's sacrifice for others, resemblance of Jesus sacrifice being beloved Son of GOD. John 3:16, ]also interesting Tamar, bore to Judah the son in Jesus documented lineage Matthew 1:1-3]
Back to story : Genesis 45:1-28, (forgiveness), Genesis 46:1-34, Genesis 47:1-12 (Redemption) Genesis 47:27-31,
Now note: Genesis 47:13-26 , Genesis 12:1-3, Genesis 12:10, Genesis 12:11-16, * Genesis 12:13-20, Genesis 16:3, Genesis 16:6-11, Genesis 15:13-14, Genesis 21:8-21, my own opinion Deuteronomy 32:35-36, Romans 12:19.
These moments in Genesis leading up to how & why Israel came into bondage. Exodus 1:1-8, continue reading Exodus 1:22, please continue to read all of Exodus.
One more encouraging note :) Hebrews 11:22, Psalms 105:1-45,
Furthermore on this site under the 1611 Version tab you can scroll to see more history on the Bible.
Hopefully these inspire a new lifetime desire of deeper study
I've had it explained to me that it was finished when Noah finished it, "that GOD couldn't move until Noah finished it" that "GOD's timing isn't man's timing. He waits sometimes for completion of events not like world thinks". That significance is amazing to consider. Genesis 6:22,
Daniel 7:22, Galatians 4:22, Ecclesiastes 3:1-17, Daniel 7:25, Exodus 9:16-19, Hebrews 9:8-10, Psalms 105:17-19, Micah 5:2-4, seems to be significant even in future Luke 16:16,
Did you notice? David feared GOD & would not lay his hand on GOD's anointted & felt remorseful for cutting Saul's garment.
1 Samuel 24:4,5,6 , 1 Samuel 24:10,
Saul also ripped Samuel's garment 1 Samuel 15:27 however 1 Samuel 15:28-29. Even after remorseful repentance 1 Samuel 15:29,30,35
Do think the significance of the clothing was a factor? 1 Samuel 2:19, His mother's sacrifice 1 Samuel 1:28
Saul pursued David to kill him: 1 Samuel 19:1,10,11,15,
& Saul ordered the prophets of GOD killed, possibly unarmed, their families, livestock & nursing babies included.; 1 Samuel 22:17,18,19 Same Saul that left the enemy King & livestock alive in disobedience to GOD's orders. 1 Samuel 15:1,2,3,8,9,
Psalms 105:15
David's mercy 2 Samuel 9:3-7,
David's sin & judgement: 2 Samuel 12:7,9,11,12,14,18, 2 Samuel 13:1,6,7,8,12,13,14,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,28,29,30,31,32, after years 2 Samuel 14:25,30,31,32, 2 Samuel 15:6,10,12,13,14,16,23,30,31, 2 Samuel 16:3,5,6,7,8,11,13,22, 2 Samuel 17:21,23,29, 2 Samuel 18:5,7,9,10,12,14,15,17,20,27,32,33, 2 Samuel 19:1-4, "the sword did not depart from his house" etc. There were more scriptures about his consequences _.

David has Psalms of remorseful repentance, gives glory to GOD ALMIGHTY, shows mercy & humility at times. With Saul he shows remorse but didn't read much of repentance, etc.
One day I was praising God and he showed me a vision. I was flying through the clouds alone. I could hear singing all around me. It was beyond the confines of the word beautiful.
The AIR was like nothing I'd ever inhaled. Clean, energizing. I took in many breaths and I heard:
"The air in heaven is FAITH."
I hope you can breathe this too. We are here now, but some day He is going to bring us to Him.
God is not amazed by our many posts. He wants us to KNOW HIM. Tell what you know. Be the kindness of Christ. Sometimes I read the gospels for any new scrap of revelation of who Jesus is. I trust the Holy Spirit to lead me to that which I seek. To open it. Yes I am on my knees in awe of Jesus and the wonder of what he showed (shows), to us if we Seek Him.
I pray we will all, not be afraid to see what is behind the mirror. 1 Corinthians 13:12
Simply "saying" hallelujah doesn't get you no closer to God than a person saying Praise God. God Judges the Heart behind everything we do. I think it's either way.

The Mormons have a book of Scripture that tells us how Moses and others saw God face to face and lived.
Mormon Scripture says the only way man can see God face to face and live is to be out of the body having God's priesthood.

Jeremiah suffered much as a Prophet of GOD Jeremiah 26, Jeremiah 27, Jeremiah 29, & following Chapters
However there is much about false prophets In Jeremiah, Jeremiah 28, Jeremiah 29:8, Jeremiah 27:14,15,16,
& Lamentations 4:13, Ezekiel 13:2,3,
They are descendents, of Jacob aka "Israel' the lineage of CHRIST Jesus, Matthew 1,
Hopefully these are helpful
3. James 1:5-8,
Hope this helps
Daniel 7:22, Galatians 4:22, Ecclesiastes 3:1-17, Daniel 7:25, Exodus 9:16-19, Hebrews 9:8-10, Psalms 105:17-19, Micah 5:2-4, seems to be significant even in future Luke 16:16,
Hope that's helpful

Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
One time a prophet wouldn't speak, and God made a donkey speak it out.
This seems fairly non-debatable. When God corrects a prophet; He does it Himself.
God bless
