Why does it seem like your prayer or prayers are not being answered? I have been praying about something for a long time , and it has not been answered?

Mary Lou, every time I see your name, I think of this Biblical song by Bob Dylan:

I went to the wedding of Mary-Lou

She said I don't want nobody see me talkin' to you

Said she could get killed if she told me what she knew

    About dignity

I went down where the vultures feed

I would've got deeper, but there wasn't any need

Heard the tongues of angels and the tongues of men

    Wasn't any difference to me

Chilly wind sharp as a razor blade

    House on fire, debts unpaid

Gonna stand at the window, gonna ask the maid

    Have you seen dignity

Someone showed me a picture and I just laughed

    Dignity never been photographed

I went into the red, went into the black

Into the valley of dry bone dreams ( Ezekiel 37:1-14)

So many roads, so much at stake

Too many dead ends, I'm at the edge of the lake

Sometimes I wonder what it's gonna take

    To find dignity

When seeing troubles, our minds may think that God is far away, as is the view of the wicked.

The view of the wicked is that God is not almighty.God prepares the heart of believers,

for times that may trouble our minds. The love of God in our hearts is greater than the

manipulations of our mind by the flesh,or the world.

Kercelia, "What On Earth Is God Doing?",by Dr. Renald Showers puts the political happenings on Earth into a spiritual context. Or, you can simply read the last chapter of Revelation, where it clearly states, God is the victor. We may know what God is doing, however, we spend our time here guessing when and why. It is the pride of man to funnel God into man's way of thinking. Despite the world around us, we need to trust and take comfort in having been told, " I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee"(Hebrews13:5), by our Lord, who supersedes any earthly ruler/power.

Jesus defeated the devil at the cross , so Jesus now reigns at the fathers right hand . Until Lord Jesus enemies are made his footstool.

Evil is rampant but defeated just the same .

Evils days are numbered , make sure you are on the good side , evil will have a last fling before God stamps it out .

Known as the Day of the Lord , we need to be ready . Read Jesus discussion on this in the gospels .

Two statements I have often heard: "God is in control," and "Satan is the ruler of this world," seem to contradict one another. I truly want to believe that God is in control, but with so much evil and depravity going on I just don't know.

    1 Corinthians 3

10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another builds thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, Wood, Hay, Stubble.

13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day (Bema Seat) shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

14 If any man's work abide (doesn't burn up) which he hath built on, he shall receive a reward.

    15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved;

    2 Corinthians 5:10-11

For we must all appear before the Bema judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

    Revelation 3:11-12

I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have so that no one can take away your crown. 12 The one who conquers I will make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will never depart from it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God that comes down out of heaven, and my new name as well.

    COMMENT:

We should serve the Lord out of love and for God's glory, and understanding the nature of rewards will help us do that. God gives us salvation. It is a gift through faith, but He rewards us for good works. God graciously supplies the means by which we may serve Him. He works in us both to WILL and to DO, as we willingly receive His grace, but the decision to serve, and the diligence used in doing so, are our responsibility and our contribution and God sees this as rewardable.

    Psalms 10:15

"Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none."

    * It's a verse written about the Antichrist

Brother Kevin seems politically abscessed that he failed seeing that the key element here are the evil people that oppressed humans. The failure of the Church can never be corrected by the politicians. The church has the burden responsibility to pray out the snakes that hide beneath the evangelicals to perpetrate their hatreds for the poor immigrants and the down trodden. Please read the Bible with the open heart and the Holy Ghost!

Verse 1~This verse shows that when we are surrounded by wickedness and see bad things happening we can think that God is far away from us. It is ok to express these feelings in prayer to Jehovah God.

To me this reminds me that if we remain humble and holy in honorng him and making our requests known to him in prayer that he will do the same by honoring and hearing us when we do pray . As he speaks in his word 1 Peter 5:6-7 King James Version KJV 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him for he careth for you.

We see/experience the trouble caused by the wicked and,in our impatience, cry to God for justice, now. The wicked exist only in the mercy of God, as he withholds judgement,as with believers also.Known only to God is his plan for every person. "I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."Rom9:15 Having grace we ought to pray, thy will be done.

"Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? Why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble? The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined." We thank the LORD for the hedge of protection that He's put around us. But as it went with so many of brothers and sisters before us, we too may soon be called upon to prove our faith by patient endurance.

Jesus came NOT to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. All manner of sin shall be forgiven the sons of men and blasphemies howsoever they have blasphemed; but the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost has NEVER forgiveness, neither in this world, nor the next. Love thy neighbor as thyself! Pray for those in authority, that we may have a quiet and peaceful world to live in all honesty and piety.

"The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken." Psalm 37:14-15 The tree is known by its fruit. If the Righteous elect a man who wants to do good for the Country; who are they that violently oppose and contradict and accuse?

God will not forgive workers of iniquity, which is so widespread as to be commonplace even in the Church. Look at the leaders the so called Christians helped elect. Are there no judges of character, no moral understanding of what God is plainly telling us in the Bible!. Lies are evil!

Janice, The thief on the cross never went to church, but he did go to paradise. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.Jn8:36 Let your conversation It there means one's relations to a community as a citizen, citizenship be without covetousness and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.Heb13:5 6 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

O house of David, thus says the LORD: Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, cries out: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, says the LORD. Which imagine mischiefs in their heart: continually are they gathered together for war. Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel: My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God? Hear ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel: You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.
