    Barbara,

You might be looking for Psalms 114:3. The King James says the Jordan (River) was driven back. There are multiple English translations that say, "the Jordan turned back." What is interesting is that the Contemporary English Version says, "the Jordan river flowed upstream." The International Standard Version (ISV) says "the Jordan River ran backwards.

So nice, :) you know if you put your feet on the "rock" mountain. It will never or fall on you or fall from u. Good luck finding Jesus Christ. He is our Castle, Rock and Fortress.

    2 Chorintians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:

Be blessed in His Holy Name Jesus Christ, Amen

I always see the numbers 114 of ssome variety but mostly like that. I also have become very drawn to the mountains over the last year or so. I'm wondering what message to me is being presented with this psalm 114. I am new to learning in depth about the bible. Thank you:)

There is no such thing as Bible Degree, God created the Bible not man and God make ministers not Professors. Professors make students, the Bible is an inspiration of God to help people beware of the enemy who is the Devil who want them to sin so their soul will go to hell. God made a way for people to save their souls by resisting the devil and staying free from sin. God do not want people to use his holy scriptures to make money, it not a business it's spiritual.

    Brother Kevin:

    Page 2

Psalms 114:4 The mountains (people) skip like rams, and the little hills (people) as lambs.

Isaiah 55:12 ...the mountains (people) and the hills (people) shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees (people) of the field shall clap their hands.

Half (not literally half, but signified) of the people will move to the north (not literally north, but signified). God in this AGE is not saving everyone, so some will be vessels of HONOUR and SOME vessels of DISHONOUR ( Romans 9:21).

I love the promise that the saints shall judge the world. In all the suffering, injustice and slander by the wicked, we endure for our testimony of Christ, we will have the last Jer 44:28b

This chapter shows the awesomeness of God over His creation, and control over them. And not even one of them has power over His faithful children to stop them from moving forward. I give Him all the glory.

God is irresistible. He exacts Himself and things happen, in the case of this Psalm, the events therein taking place, we should just appreciate be in awe of His majesty...tremble and be fear Him.

Take this literally. It occurs during big earthquakes. It does so that geography of a place needs re-drawing.

This is a psalm that shows the power of The Lord over oceans and mountains it shows that the natural elements that obey the laws of physics, at the presence of The Lord the natural elements go against their own nature,... the fire don 't burn , the water loose its properties, and the mountains tremble........!
  • Josephine on Psalms 114 - 11 years ago
Ps 114 shows that nothing can withstand God's people because of His presence, what seems as an impossible barrier both in the physical and in the spiritual is not big or strong enough to stop our victory-because we are the dwelling place of God
