Daniel's entire prophecy of the seventy sevens ( Daniel 9:20-27) is speaking of the nation of Israel. It is a time period in which God focuses His attention especially on Israel. The seventieth seven, the tribulation, must also be a time when God deals specifically with Israel. While this does not necessarily indicate that the church could not also be present, it does bring into question why the church would need to be on the earth during that time.

The primary Scripture passage on the rapture is 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. It states that all living believers, along with all believers who have died, will meet the Lord Jesus in the air and will be with Him forever. The rapture is God's removing of His people from the earth. A few verses later, in 1 Thessalonians 5:9, Paul says, "For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ." The book of Revelation, which deals primarily with the time period of the tribulation, is a prophetic message of how God will pour out His wrath upon the earth during the tribulation. It seems inconsistent for God to promise believers that they will not suffer wrath and then leave them on the earth to suffer through the wrath of the tribulation. The fact that God promises to deliver Christians from wrath shortly after promising to remove His people from the earth seems to link those two events together.

What settled the rapture question for me was Luke's recount of the same conversation about the end as Matthew 24. In Luke's account we get a few gems of wisdom added to the story, particularly this one:

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

    Luke 21:36 (KJV)

What many Christians don't understand is that many, many of those who identify as Christians will NOT be found worthy to escape! We all have to have oil in our lamps (The Holy Spirit) so that we do not miss the Bridegroom, a

Rev. 20:4-5 explains the saints left behind, were not taken in the Rapture. They will be martyrs. Raptured saints will go to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

God has not appointed his Bride unto Wrath. The Dead in Christ rise first and we that are alive and remain (unmingled, unmixed, sacrificed) are caught up and meet him it the air at the, 'Last Trump'. We shall not all sleep. President 'Trump' is a major sign that the Trumpet is about to sound.

We know it is the Blood of Christ alone that saves, otherwise He would have died in vain.

    Luke 23:43

And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

The thief didn't require water baptism to be saved, had he lived and come in contact with disciples he'd have heard same commandment, his action would have been same as Eunich.

    Acts 8:36

And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

If the same Spirit that wrote the Word, be in us then would not that Spirit obey His own Word. And would It not act the same way in us as it did in them?

As for churches and people, I cannot say, but we all know that God is only obligated to His Word, for He is the Word, and heaven and earth shall pass away, but His words shall not pass away.

    Matthew 15:9

But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

    Psalms 119:6

Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.

    2 Corinthians 10:5

    Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

    And Christ is the Word.

    1 John 1:1

    "That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

    2 John 1:6

And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

    Ezekiel 36:27

And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

And this is love, that we walk after his commandments.

    John 16:13

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:

    God bless

Thank you for this explanation I am a firm believer that there is no rapture but only a second coming. John 6: 39-44 puts a nail in the coffin of preachers preaching the rapture

Greetings Tamara consider this about the resurrection.

In Rev. 20:4-5, John sees the souls of Saints who were BEHEADED for refusing the Mark of the Beast during the Great Tribulation. John writes that they will rise and reign with Christ for 1000 years and that this is the FIRST RESURRECTION!

If according to John, the beheaded rise in the FIRST resurrection and Paul said those who are alive and remain are not caught up until AFTER the dead in Christ are resurrected, then this means the catching up or rapture takes place AFTER tribulation!

Now compare the above with 1 CORINTHIANS 15:20-23:

20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first-fruits of those who slept.

21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

23 But every man in his own order: Christ the first-fruits; AFTERWARDS THOSE WHO ARE CHRIST'S AT HIS COMING.

Notice only one resurrection of the dead in Christ is mentioned here! Which, according to Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 must take place BEFORE we who are alive and remain are "caught up" with them!

When did Jesus say the dead in Christ would be resurrected?

John 6:39-40: Jesus said, "This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up ON THE LAST DAY.

John 6:44: Jesus said, "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up ON THE LAST DAY."

Is the LAST DAY the start of thousand year reign of Christ?

I believe so....then it is eternity and time is counted no more

So if Jesus himself said the dead in Christ will be raised on the LAST DAY, and Paul said we who are alive and remain will not be caught up (raptured) until AFTER the dead are raised, then where does secret pre-trib rapture fit in?

Tribulation Period is about to start, right after the Rapture, we are at the Door. 1 Cor 15:51; 1 Thess 4:16-17; Rev 6:1; Num 10:10; Lev 23:9

No one knows of, 'The Second Coming' or exactly the Rapture Time but the Season yes Matt 24 (Second Coming Signs). Remember Jesus's Disciples ask him two questions, " & what shall be the sign of thy coming, & of the end of the world?"

We are in the Rapture Season, "Last Trump" explained in Num. 10, a trump to call the assembly. Lev 23:9 (First-Fruits, Barley Harvest & Second fruit Wheat Harvest/Martyrs).

Tribulation Period & Antichrist: Daniel 9; Matt 24 : Revelation 13; Luke 20:41-47 (Antichrist will say he is a Jew? 'Davidic Line' but is not and speaks about the Pope and Vatican/scribes, long robes (vs.46), ( Rev. 2:9, "I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, & are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.")

2 Thess. 2, the Antichrist can't come to power until the, 'The Rapture Event'.

**From my research, Antichrist 666 look to Henry Charles Albert David**

Pray to God & ask him to open the scriptures up to you & he will but it will require you to shutdown all entertainment & other distractions for some time, fast & pray.

Remember if you get left behind you have another chance. #1 Don't Divorce Jesus/Don't Take The Mark,

#2 Repent and Cry Out to God (Fast and Pray), #3 Do Not Listen to the Antichrist Nor View him unnecessarily on Tv because he has bewitching powers. # 4 Cover yourself with the blood of Jesus & speak protection scriptures often. #5 Ask God to lead you to fellow believers that are repentant and serious about his. Do not fall for False Teachers/Prophets saying its OK to take the Mark & God will forgive you for taking it because this is a lie! #6 Prepare for Martyrdom, God will give you grace to lay down your life ( Ps 48 :14). Much fasting and prayer will prepare you for this. Do not fight the death process as he will raise you to eternal life in heaven & you will receive a Martyrs Crown.

Rick Markell: I know folks are going to want to put me in a closet, but you have a LOT of questions about end time matters.

I've always thought that we should just skip all the wondering and trying to sort through time tables and all that. You can't delay to the last minute what you should do today. NO ONE knows the exact moment. Not even Jesus. Only the Father knows.

It's going to be peaceful at first ... and then like a woman's birth pains...it's going to be fast and violent.

Get in now! All in. No doubting. No time to sin a little and jump back in. Be firm in your choice.

Now go on YouTube. Type in: Dwight Thompson what to do if you miss the Rapture.

Pick the one that is 1 hour 59 mins long. He's a friend of mine. Kinda wild but truly sincere. Let me Know what you thought?

In AOL days, there used to be free fo all's in the Christian chat rooms; drunk people in there trying to start controversies. Don't be tempted. Here's why: 1 Cor. 11:19, Gal. 5-20, II Peter 2:1, Titus 2, 1 Tim 4:2, 2 Tim. 2:20-23, 3:19
Clearly Paul the Apostle was NOT a liar. No man can call God a liar. Be at peace. Bring peace back to this discussion.

Robert Clark, Acts chapter 1: Verse 15, Peter is speaking to the disciples, and they all begin to pray and ask the Lord to choose between Joseph called Barsabas, and Matthias. The Lord chose Matthias to take the place Judas Iscariot. Also, learn Psalms 119:verse 18, I say this each day before reading my KJV Bible. You will be amazed at how the Lord will open your eyes to understand scripture.

Pride deceives he who says, You said this life is vanity and that all things are done. Nay: for your err it is written, God requires that which is past. and, God NOW commands all men every where to repent: and again, The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness: but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The "word" is the holy spirit spirit of truth and wisdom. the "word" is the feminine essence of yhwh. the "word" is thy spiritual mother who is ruach hakodesh ruah qudsha. yhwh's commandment "honour thy father and thy mother" has nothing to do with our earthly parents but has everything to do with our heavenly spiritual parents. you can't have an "only begotten son" without both parents. selah

To biblefan, ain is not a person. it is a hebrew letter, which is used to seperate every 8 verses of the chapter. i believe that in verse 126 the psalmist is not so much telling god what to do as much as he is reminding god of the state of affairs. a person could tell god "it is time to heal me". that would be the persons opinion, not being nervy. god bless you
  • Adam - In Reply on Psalms 119 - 5 years ago
I wouldn't dare do that. I believe the Word says to not to challenge God- not to put Him to the test. Testing the spirits is ok though- if they say Jesus is Lord you know the spirit is from God.
