This song, being the longest song ever, strikes right in the face of the myopic perspective that the law was crucified. It upholds the law. More than 90% of it is about the law of God. There is often confusion between the ceremonial law and the commandments. The sheep sacrifices and the ten commandments are different. See Rev12:17 and Rev14:12, Isiah 8:19-20, James 2:10-12

This is quite straightforward! When the word of God speaks to and through us, we experience the ultimate satisfaction, even more than what any natural substance this earth produces can give. The word of God is simply satisfying to the body, mind and soul. It positively stimulates the mind, energizes and rejuvenates the body, it cleanses the soul and it frees the spirit.

Puwahmah; I try to understand, you talk about being honest as a Christian, both toward God and men? This is the very heart of walking in truth in Christ in love out of a pure heart and a good conscience, and faith without Stage-Playing! We have to keep our hearts and minds under strict discipline against wicked and unclean thoughts and desires: we do this by staying close to Jesus and not sinning.

By the word of God we are unspeakable gainers. Every man hates to have a lie told him, but we should more hate telling a lie; by the latter we give an affront to God. Psalms 119:73 "Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments." Our God knows and understands all things; and His desire regarding us has always been, that as His children we should also. If there had been no sin in the beginning... but we never got a chance to learn how to be His children the way He had in mind when He created us, until JESUS!!!!

"Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word." There is no other Glad Tidings than that which was first entrusted to the Saints; and there is no way to make it easier and more comfortable for men, than that which the Lord prescribed; which is "except the corn of wheat go into the ground and die, it abides alone; but if it die, it brings forth much fruit."
